so unfortunate that this is my local post office. Since living in park slope for the past ~2 years, anything to do with usps mail is a pita - whether it’s receiving or sending mail. - I sell items online as a side hustle. Nothing crazy, 2 to 3 packages per week. There is a consistent trend of this post office skipping scans. So on the buyer side it looks like I’m taking forever to take the packages out to the post office. The tracking info will a pre-shipment scan (aka when I print out the label at home) and then the next scan will be in a random state (aka the next facility it’s processed through). This is not normal when I drop off at other post offices - this brings me to my next point, which is that my packages get lost entirely when I drop them off here. Maybe 5% rate but so so unacceptable. This makes the lack of pre-scan especially frustrating because I’m not sure if they just skip the scan or if they lost my package entirely. It is a gamble to drop items off here - to avoid the two issues above, your only alternative is to wait on the 10-20 people deep line and interact with the workers who are often unpleasant - my last grievance has luckily been resolved, but for my first one year of living in the neighborhood, I noticed that most of my packages were never delivered to my apartment or mailbox. When I called this post office to report it, I finally reached the postmaster who explained to me that my mail man marked my name, as do not deliver. They said that the mailman thought I no longer live here. I asked what made them do this and they had no answer, just that they’ll remove my name from the black list for this address. That time it was a package I was looking forward to from abroad. Post master said nothing can be done, it’s already back en route to the sender. Awful! Just all around terrible post office, even though the bar was nearly nonexistent in the first place
If you have all day to waste, this is the place for you. Some of the machines are out of order. THey don't pick up the phone or they put you on endless hold, which is even worse than not picking up. Other features: package pick-up service: the worst. most of the time, no one is at the window to distribute packages that the post office is holding. The clerks leave for long periods of time and show little interest in efficient service. There is a bell to ring to call someone to the window, but no one there ever responds. I spent thirty minutes there and could not get a satisfactory answer to my question about the post office losing my package. The clerk went to get a supervisor and never returned. For all I know, they have my package. But I had run out of time so I had to leave without finding out for certain. counter service: competent but slow telephone service: None. You cannot call this post office to get information. The caller gets a busy signal or the phone rings ten times and no one picks up and then you get the high-pitched fax tone. maybe they unplugged the phone. When I went to the post office and asked for the phone number, they refused to give it to me. delivery service: uneven and late. for awhile they put my mail and the neighboring apartment's mail in the same mailbox so we had to sort it every day. then they stopped doing that. now they are back to combining the mail into one mailbox again, even though I have clearly marked the mailboxes as apts. 1 and 2 and put our names on the mailboxes. also, they occasionally deliver other people's mail to us, so I have to redeliver it to the right address (for example, they put mail addressed to 523 4th st in the 623 4th st mailbox). they routinely deliver the mail after 6 p.m.
Using this post office, or trying to have your mail delivered by it is to exist in an alternative universe where the aim is not to deliver the mail, but to make it vanish. . Over the 35 years of continuous residence at my present address, I've had: *my mail returned to sender--"Addressee unknown." This happens about once every 2-3 years and all complaints to Van Brunt are blandly ignored. It lasts until file complaints with the Postmaster General. And then in a few years it happens again. * gotten no mail at all for 2 months because my mail is being forwarded to somebody else-- after the post office unilaterally decided I'd moved. Again complaints blandly ignored until I filed fraud charges for theft of mail (books, magazines and theater tickets, not to mention letters and bills are missing.) Ends with a chiding phone call from a mid-level postal official who tries to blame me but does fix the erroneous forwarding notice. * had mail misaddressed to my address and forwarded by me to correct address redelivered to me again, and again and again, with my handwritten "forward to ____" on it. When I ask mail carrier, he does not understand what "forwarding" means. "I'm sorry, I'm not the regular carrier, I'm just helping out." (?!) I'm not somebody who advocates the privatization of everything as a solution--government can be efficient. But the post office has developed a general culture of sloth, inefficiency and rudeness. There ARE some New York post offices (most of them in Manhattan) that are friendly, fast, efficient, but they are the product of individual managers who have somehow developed a different work culture in their staffs. An efficient private business would copy the effective model and fire the rest.
Document your interactions with this post office and send a complaint letter to the Post Master General. No point scheduling deliveries as they ignore the request. I'm currently on hold (34 minutes and still holding as I write this review). A manager whose voice I recognized ask for my tracking number and has me on hold now for (40) minutes. I know, that they hope I will hang up but I'm stubborn and fully expect to have my phone call terminated at 5pm. Really lousy management other workers are good but the management really should not hold these managerial positions as they are not equipped to deal with the public. I'll suspect that from the moment of this posting all of my packages will end up in a black whole. They don't even deserve one star. Please document all of your experiences with this post office. Write reviews and write to the main post office. If we all write how incompetent and callous management is we can change the Van Brunt Post office business as usual. As for me I've taken a screen shot of my phone to show that on March 5, 2015 as of 5:38 pm I have been on hold for nearly 2 hours. I've also down loaded and saved my Tracking Information....this showed that my scheduled delivery date was ignored.
Ok, I must say that 4 stars could have been 5, but I think 4 are well deserved. For once, they are trying very hard to improve, especially the department that address misdeliveries, lost packages, redeliveries and other issues. The lady that is in charge of that, I believe her name is Leticia is excellent. She usually gets back within minutes of an email with an inquiry. Then, it does not end there. I had a package that I was holding while being away, and j came to get it. The girl behind the counter, I remembered her name because she went by Diamond, was super helpful and courteous. As far as the rest of the department that process the packages at the window, I believe it is the same bunch that sometimes have an attitude and sometimes don't. What I do want to recognize with this review is that there is a tremendous improvement to the organization and this branch specifically. Keep up the good work, USPS.
This place is utterly hopeless and has been since the 1960's! They discontinued our postal route 33 and now we get mail delivered by any carrier who wants to take on an extra to their usual, so we get deliveries after 8PM sometimes. Only one lady is pleasant at the windows and you hear a party going on in the back, but no one comes to answer the package pickup bell. Packages get left on the stoop, even when you're home to receive them. How hard is it do ring the damned bell? And I live in an address with an A in it...why do I have to resort my mail with the next door neighbors (isn't that illegal). In the 70's this place used to dump mail on an old lady on 6th St till she called Channel 4 and Betty Furness did a consumer expose` showing black bags full of mail for 6th St and 6th Ave. It's never been good and it's not gotten any better. And they earnestly wonder why they're losing money...REALLY?
I've pleaded with Amazon and other online vendors to no longer USPS for delivery. Here's why: they don't even bother to buzz the apartment or knock of the front door to deliver even SMALL packages. They just leave a notice that they weren't able to deliver it IN MY MAILBOX. The notice slips are so illegible that even the Post Office workers at the pickup window can't read them. This post office is only open 9-5pm. I work those hours, so it's impossible to get there during week days. On top of all this, I sign authorizations online for them to leave the packages - they are ignored. The sender tells the carrier to leave if no response - they are ignored. Then they don't even bother to deliver. If they are so busy and inundated with mail, why not listen to the requests? Why bother re-delivering (which barely ever works) or bringing it back to the post office? Worst service ever.
This is the most ridiculous mail situation I have ever encountered in my life. I live in an apartment building in the neighborhood and, instead of leaving our mail in our mailboxes, our post man dumps everyones mail mixed up on the floor in front of the doorway. It literally looks like a tornado ran through the foyer in my building. In the past year, I have had three different packages lost (or stolen). If packages get delayed or need to be redelivered, forget about it. Even when USPS sends an email confirmation for redelivery, the mail person will not follow through and the package just falls through the cracks. I've been waiting two weeks for an Amazon prime package (which should have been here in 2-days) because of all of the delivery issues with USPS. This is a completely awful mail situation and someone above the manager of this facility needs to step in.
A temp mail deliverer keeps throwing all our buildings mail in the gate area leading to my apt. When it rains the area gets wet and the mail gets ruined. I caught her doing this and told her we have mail boxes at the top of the stairs to the building, and she asks if I have the key to the main lock. I said, no you have the master key. She acted surprised, but used her key to open our main box. Well the next day she dumped the mail in the gate area yet again, and in addition delivered mail for several other buildings; some not on our street. She is totally incompetent, and this is why the PO is losing money and will be out of business in the very near future. The Van Brundt PO is one of the worst I have ever encountered. And, when you try calling they keep the phone off the hook so it's always busy. And, we are about to get an increase in postage. Pathetic!
The drivers/workers for this post office have no consideration for the residents on this block. There are delivery trucks coming and going most nights of the week between 1am-4:30am, sometimes even 5am-7am. The engines are left on loudly idling, when trucks back into the lot the beeping is incessant, the metal racks used to transport the mail are very loud on the grates and can be heard down the block. NYC has very specific laws regarding hours for making obscene amounts of noise yet for some reason since the P.O is a federal operation they are above those laws.. (??!) Obviously the mail is important but this specific office is such a disturbance in an otherwise very quiet neighborhood, I would be happy to see it go. Judging from all of the other one-star reviews regarding the actual post office functions it doesn't seem like anyone would miss it!
I use this post office fairly frequently and overall they do a good job. However, I think the customers in this neighborhood are some of the rudest and most impatient people I’ve ever seen. The customers abuse what is clearly an unstaffed team regularly. I often feel embarrassed by the people that use/abuse this location. I see a lot of comments about poor service, which are clearly related to a lack of staff. That’s not the fault of the people who are showing up for work. If you’re too important to fill out your own forms before you go to the window, maybe you should get your PA to do it, because it’s not the postal workers’ job. The postal delivery is a whole other thing. If my regular carrier is unavailable, I can forget getting my mail. I will, definitely get someone else’s though.
Totally unacceptable! Has been for decades. (I notice that people complain about many branches city-wide). Some, not all, employees rude. Attitude is "doing you a favor". DELIVERY is abominable! First class mail left on a public table in our lobby. This violates USPS rules! This post office station has lost 2 of my packages in the past year. One was REGISTERED with signature required. An expensive item. I am livid about the situation. As prior reviewer said, the phone is ALWAYS busy. I agree with siad reviewer; they take phone off the hook so as not to be bothered. Only one phone line? No way to leave message? 1970? If actually get person, they put you on hold and don't come back. USPS workers under paid and overworked, I am sure.
The PO Stopped delivering my mail and I never found out what happened to it. Critical mail notices were lost and possibly cost me my home. I asked for the Postmaster General or someone that can explain, there is really no one there that knows what they are doing or even cares. God help us all. Tampring with the US mail is a Federal Offence. They don't have the right to my mail and should ALL go to jail, including the PMG. Now I asked to have ALL my mail sent to another address where I have a little better chance of really getting it. I was told that 'current resident' mail would not be forwarded, even though I'm the homeowner and now the only one resonsible for my home. Impeach De Blasio....
Always a horrible experience, where some full adult is inevitably having a screaming match with one of the tellers. This time I arrived before 6 p.m., the time that google says this location closes, and was turned away at 5:10 by the woman behind the counter screaming "we're closed!" at me. I only needed to quickly pick up a package, a transaction that would have taken one minute and a signature, but instead I walked 15 blocks in the heat to be shouted at and not get my package at all. Worse, I now have to come back and inevitably deal with the same person who just treated me that way tomorrow, just because the usps cant figure out how to leave packages at my building's basement door.
Abandon all hope ye who enter here. This post office is proof of how people can systematically neglect their duties, falsify records, and generally act as rude little dictators, and still hold on to their jobs. I think it's fair to say, without being rude to koala bears, that if you staffed this particular post office, with said koala bears, your customer experience would improve drastically. Update: Also, if you grab the golden unicorn and actually speak with someone at this post office on the phone, you would be safe in assuming they are either misinformed, or outright lying. I've met 3 day old pancakes with better service skills then anyone who works at this hellhole.
Well, far from surprised when I read the first review. Turns out that I found my way to this site because I too have had 2 seperate scheduled redeliveries completely ignored and never received a pink slip from first delivery attempt. Probably because I don't believe they attempted to deliver my package in the first place. The sender provided me with a tracking number which is how I learned of the first supposed attempt, cause like I said,no slip for me. Now since it's a Friday afternoon I have been attempting to call my local USPS office but alas,no one will answer in fear that should they pick up the receiver it might possibly require someone to do their job.
One of the worst post offices I have ever visited. Every old, outdated notion or stereotype of government workers and specifically postal workers comes true here. They literally do not care about their jobs and they know no complaint you could possibly make would result in any consequences for them. And they make very sure that you know that as well. This old dilapidated depressing building is a kingdom of petty tyrants. Filled with obsequious customers who are forced to grovel in the hopes of simply getting their mail or some other vital necessity that in other neighborhoods and other USPS locations could be handled without such a frustrating experience.
If you can use a different post office in the area, do so, because the management team at this installation is worthless and will do less than the bare minimum when it comes to their job. Phone calls will be ignored and on the rare occasion they do answer they’ll direct you to call elsewhere for assistance. As an unfortunate former employee there I have seen this occur multiple times. Also, safety is a non-issue, as federal mandates to wear mask inside the building during the Covid-19 pandemic are ignored and multiple employees smoke and drink alcohol in the building and out on the street, both while walking and operating motor vehicles. 0/5 stars.
A SHAME FOR THE POSTAL SERVICE This station is the worst ranked for a reason: it is the worse station ever! Not only the employees are sloppy and extremely rude but they also steal packages so, BE AWARE and never leave a package in the hands of any of them if they don't scan it right in front of you. 3 years ago they cost me $270 when they stole a custom made piuece I made for a client. This time I will be paying a late fee on my rent because my envelope (droped at their very office) is missing now for more than a month. Avoid this station if possible.
I had a prepaid box that I was told to leave in the bin, next day its returned to me because I did not physically hand them the box through the window. I had to buy a completely new label because the return sticker they slapped over it that says “package must be handed to attendant” was ruined. Every time I go in there they are rude. Never happy. You can bring them snacks, say please, thank you, etc and you will still leave this place in tears. Sadly they are the only “local” option since all the mailboxes have been boarded up.
Very inefficient operation. If you go there with pre-labeled, ready to ship packages there is no way to skip the line, as the drop-box is, more often than not, full to the top. Street parking is difficult as well. The people that work there run the gamut from professional and efficient to downright nasty, unhelpful and spiteful. If you need to ship often, or run a business and don't want to waste time, go to the Post Office on 3rd Av. and 33th st where the set-up is conducive to a faster visit.
In general, I have a hunch my reviews tend to skew towards the positive, so when I give this place a one-star review, that's saying something. This is quite possibly the worst USPS branch I have ever visited. Lines are slow and often confusing. Service is quite often rude. One time, I had a worker look me in the eye and tell me with absolute certainty that my package was out for delivery, before I informed her that I could see it sitting right behind her as I glanced over her shoulder.
How is it that the phone line is ALWAYS busy here?? And the hours are incorrect because I have been there between 6am-9am and they have not been open. Their response was "certain departments open at 6am"....wish I could give this place negative stars. ONE POSITIVE NOTE: There is one pleasant/helpful Asian lady behind the counter that I can tolerate. Cant remember her name, but she usually works the left window. Kudos to her for being the only good thing about this establishment.
The worst post office in existence. they have lost, misplaced or just haven't delivered several packages, and I've only lived here for 2 months. They say they "attempted delivery" and they dont. Several large signs on my door and they still refuse to ring the bell then will lose the packages and time sensitve materials. Dont bother trying to call customer service, they completely disregard open cases and paperwork handed to them. Zero Stars. go literally anywhere else.
I never, ever go into a Post Office in New York if I can avoid it. The facilities are often decrepit, and the customers are just as surly as the employees. However -- the four star review here is for the service I've received on the phone from the Van Brunt branch in Brooklyn whenever I've had to call with an issue or a question. Every time I've called, the person on the other end of the line at Van Brunt has been friendly, and helpful.
I'm dealing with a lost package and they have not been helpful at all. I always treat those who i speak to with kindness but here they are rude and mean. I have to call over and over just to get anyone to pick up and they snap at you and hang up. Edit: I was finally able to speak with someone named Rosalie and she was a breath of fresh air and very helpful, so there are some nice people but don’t hold your breath you will speak to one!
Stayed home from work in order to ensure that the packaged I needed was delivered on-time with no issues. Received an amazon text informing me that they could not deliver because there was no one to sign for the package. This post office has a history of not delivering when it is inconvenient, avoid shipping with the USPS. Ups never has an issue and if I had a choice while shipping this I would certainly have gone with them.
Contrary to most other people's experiences here, today their service was amazing. My package had arrived the other day but I couldn't figure out how to hold it for pickup online so I figure I'd try my luck picking it up in person first thing this morning. They were able to catch the delivery guy on his way out and get it to me! Thanks to them I now have a phone with a screen that works just in time for travels!
Never fails I get an alert from amazon or some other online vendor saying USPS was unable to complete delivery. Despite being around, the doorbell never rings and no slip is left. I have to wait till the next day and walk over half a mile to pick up a large package that was, I’m pretty sure, never attempted to be delivered in the first place. Then I’m greeted with a long wait and bad attitudes.
absolute hell on earth. waited in line for 25 minutes and did not even move one single inch forward, as im waiting in line with 6 other people ahead of me some woman walks up to the window to cut the line to drop off her package and the employee just starts helping her and allows her to cut the entire line of people. left without even picking up my package.
Temporary change of address requested, confirmed by P.O. for June 20th. As of July 13, mail forwarding has not happened. Two phone calls to the post office and another request filed --- still no forwarding happening. And this is after I spoke with the carrier who said he'd take care of it. Mail delivery here (I just moved from Washington, DC) is deplorable.
absolutely the worst usps office in town, maybe in tristate area, perhaps in US. lazy, inefficient, unkind, slow and dirty and everything you can imagine to make an already daunting post office experience worse. if any post office can beat a dmv, this should be it. stay away, try elsewhere before you waste another 30 min, at least, in this s$%^&hole
The service is beyond worst ever! There is one teller who is nice. Spanish lady with long black hair every one else and I mean everyone is horrible!!!!! I consistently have to run in there to get my packages because they NEVER leave slips. I complained several times. This is the problem with state jobs the employees don't give a f$%#
Horrible........they did not try to delivery a small package and left a yellow/orange card................next day go to pick it up and was told item is not in yet. I asked where could it be since its the next day and they have to return items and they were dumbfounded. Go the following day and was told have to wait until Monday.
This location does not offer photo services for new passports (though the website allows you to sign up for that appointment type). Was told to go to pharmacy around the corner on 5th and 7th which worked great, but would have liked to have known I needed photos before I showed up to my appointment. Had to come back another day.
Do not use the drop off bin, one of my packages that I dropped off was never reported as dropped off on the tracking. I believe one of the postal workers stole my package. Supervisor on site seemed fishy too after I talked to her and she said she is not able to help. Be wary of using this post office, suspicious workers.
Honestly , where does the post office find these people? I have never had a good experience at this place. Even though I’ve seen these same workers for years, they never gain experience. Completely inept in every way! Absurd! Ridiculous. Just shut the place down and start over. These people do not deserve a job.
Horrible customer service skills. No one there besides one worker wanted to answer a simple 2 second question I had. The two workers I asked before hand were very disrespectful and were saying they are not answering any questions and one complained that she wasn’t even supposed to be at work.
Literally the worst post office. Waited forever just to pick up a package. You have to ring the bell about 20 times before someone shows up. I finally left with my package and left in the midst of listening to a woman saying she had a “strong concern” and wanted to speak with the supervisor.
They never ring the bell to deliver packages that require signatures, even when I'm home all day. I know this for a fact (has happened repeatedly). Once they didn't even leave the slip, so I didn't know the package had arrived, and it got sent back to the sender. This is seriously below par.
Worst post office ever. My second miserable day standing in a line all the way across the post office. The packed drop is so full of packages you can not drop any more. It is supposed to be emptied every night but it is not. If you can go elsewhere do so!!!
No pride. No work ethic. No empathy. No feelings. Nothing. A black hole of postal uselessness. Inept. Rude. Unkind. Never a smile on anyone's face other than when those waiting in line all agree that this specific post office is the 9th gate to hell!
Im guessing by the other reviewers they just went on a bad day.... I will speak on my experience I got there on a Friday at 12:36 pm got in a fair line of about 10 people it went by super fast, the service clerk I had was very amicable and
Horrible customer service. I stood on Line for 45 mins because only one window was open on a Tuesday at noon. The other window the women sat at her desk and cleaned it. This only happens in black neighborhoods and it’s sad and unexceptable.
These people do not know the meaning of 2 day shipping. Although my package arrived to this post office in the morning they did not bother to deliver it! And this is not the first time late shipping on a overnight or a 2 day package occurs.
Feels like they just don’t want to deliver packages sometimes. I have had multiple items come through this post office that have been marked as insufficient address and returned to sender, even though my address is well documented. When I
Took off work 2 times and traveled paying for subway to be rejected twice . I was trying to buy a P.O. Box and there is so many complications . All the tellers tell u a different story about what u need . The staff need better training
This post office was supposed to delivery my passport June 14. It was in their hands and apparently stolen. I had to walk to the office over a month later for them to finally tell me this information. Sorry excuse for a post office.
The worst post office. Constantly loses mail/ does not deliver mail to correct box (live in a multi-unit dwelling). Rude counter service so I can only imagine what the postal carrier is like. Can’t wait till I move. Too ghetto
This place should be closed!!! The agents are rude and extremely ill mannered and disgusting.... horrible humans that work there. This place should be closed iam shocked how disgusting the agents are!!!! Never never again.
Horrible service every time I have to deal with this Post Office. They lose packages, keep you on hold forever, and have HORRIBLE customer service every single time. I don't know how this Post Office isn't shut down yet.
I've moved twice while having this post office and they've probably only forwarded 3 pieces of mail EVER. I've called and complained but they still never forwarded anything. They continued to deliver to my old addresses
Terrible office, had 4 problems with then in the span of 1 month for 5 of the packages I received. They don't put mail in the right place, mark as delivered when it isn't, and lose packages. Totally incompetent workers.
I went to talk to them about a delivery problem at my new apartment. I was helped by an Asian lady who listened to me patiently and even talked to the mail carrier to figure out what the problem was. Thank you!
This is the worst post office , I am just sick of their ineptitude. They are not professional, and do not deliver when they are supposed to. Wish we had a different place to go. Its the same story all the time,
I scheduled a next day passport appointment here because the library didn’t have any available appointments for weeks. The employee that helped me was very nice and courteous. Overall a good experience!
I love this post office. I've been going here my whole life and all the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've never had an issue and all my packages have been delivered in good condition.
I waited in line for about 40 seconds and the clerk apologized for the wait. I was in and out within two minutes. I wish I could remember the clerk’s name. She was polite and wonderful. Thank you
Do not go here if you can avoid it. There’s another post office up on 7th Ave that is much better. There is ALWAYS a massive line and they constantly mishandle packages and miss delivery dates.
is the pay for a postal worker that much lower than for UPS or FedEx? If so, just change jobs, don't keep wasting my time by NOT delivering my packages and having me pick them up every time! I
I was having my medication delivered today so I made sure I was around all day. My mail carrier just showed up and when I asked if he had a package for me he just laughed and ignored me.
Poop in the swimming pool post office! DO NOT bother attempting to set up redelivery of packages; this post office doesn't even employ top management that can read or count! PATHETIC!
The clerks were very helpful, and were checking the line to make the service faster, even a week before Christmas it took only 20 minutes to send 3 boxes! have patience for people
DO NOT APPLY FOR PASSPORTS AT THIS LOCATION!!!! Had the same woman twice, who handles passports: First my adult son applied to renew his passport and the cost we were given was
Our regular postman is on top of things but I get other people’s packages on a weekly basis. It’s not even the correct street! Whoever is driving the trucks pays no attention.
Really bad service. Never answer phone, so you got to go there and stand in line for the simplest question and then half the time they can't answer the question. So awful!
Wow I just tried to call and the number really is off the hook! Been waiting in line for ten minutes without moving. Filthiest post office I've visited in 30 years.
The younger mail delivery persons are always on the phone. Often I end up with someone else's mail in my box. When I return it to them they give me attitude.
Terribly slow service and being called forward with a 'next' without a please...customer service appalling and needs addressed. Stamps are nice though!
It closes at 4 and they wouldn’t help me when I walked in at 3:50. Had to wait another week to mail a letter out since I don’t get out of work until 6.
Doesn't even deserve any stars! Workers are unacceptable and VERY RUDE. Not to mention, it is disgusting in here. We need new nice workers. Fire these
It was pretty bad... Long wait times, confusing lines, not dropping off, missing packages, etc...but at least some of the people are helpful!
Eh, I've never had a terrible experience here. Most USPS locations in NYC are a nightmare, but going in prepared makes everything smoother.
My packages are always lost they say they attempt to deliver yet never leave a notice. Bad customer service . Lines are always long!!!
Terrible service. SO MUCH ATTITUDE was given for no reason at all beyond my comprehension. P.S You're lucky I can't give half a star.
I find the employees here at this post office helpful. This Post Office is always busy. They are always pleasant and hard-working.
The worst post office ever. 20 min after opening and nobody on the booth to assist. All you hear is people laughing in the back.
Yup, it's a pretty horrible Post Office. Lucky me. They even screw up my regular everyday mail. Someone should get fired! Haha
No air conditioner, fans are off and full with dust, dingy and dirty employees aren't friendly and have no customer service.
I'm 15th in line and at the rate this line is moving, I won't make it to the front before the post office closes in 2 hours!
Called to find out which post office in Brooklyn my package was at and the woman on the phone refused to help me.
very nice & helpful staff - not their fault the usps is underfunded!!! special shoutout to Min who is extra nice
Post Office on 9th street 5th ave is always crowded and very great but slow service. Lines are to long
Workers seem to have very little interest in expediency or customer service. Packages regularly lost.
When I usually go here it's always full but today it wasn't. This place is really clean and cool.
Not feeling this Serice sorry to say, the lines are too long for busy location in11215 area code
It's the post office, so it's basically the slowest, most inefficient, worst place in the nation
I went with a passport appointment and they told me they couldn’t do it and asked me to leave
PLEASE hire more people! This is the slowest post office in all of brooklyn AND manhattan!
Here is an update. Still sucks. 11th in line. 15 min per customer. 2 agents open. Shameful
No way to quickly ship packages. You must wait in line at all times and for all reasons.
Terrible costumer service. I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes just to pick up a package!
Staff are helpful and pleasant. Mailing supplies tend to be in short supply, however.
Always had a good service here. The staff is no-nonsense and gets the job done.
Is it ok for a post office to just close a half hour before their posted hours?
Not the worst in Brooklyn but pretty bad. Long lines. Pickup window rarely open
Clean, kind, knowledgeable, and fast. What else can we ask for in a business!
I will go out of my way to pay UPS and fedex to avoid this place. The worst!!
They are always polite and help we get things done quickly. Good hours too.
Mrs. Rivera is really turning this place around. She is much appreciated!
