"The entire area is going to go through major upheaval looking for the map proposed changes it takes bit to figure out"
"I like this place"
"In the summer this place is gorgeous (if there isn't garbage in the pond or fountain)"
"Super cute park with lake, fountain and stream"
"A tiny park (takes 5 minutes to walk around it) but its so cute! Words can't describe how adorable it is"
The entire area is going to go through major upheaval looking for the map proposed changes it takes bit to figure out. The essential areas the duck pond with the Pagoda, should be safe!? It would be really sad, if they replace that with say a Stuckey's or an Arby's .
Playground
There is a small playground, with a slide ladder & house. With a spring mounted riding animal thingy. Plus a teeter totter. however around the whole park, there are multiple exercise stations. 4 laps = A Km. There is one Pagoda structure by the small pond. The water is present about 40months 3 of the warm season.
I like this place. Every few meters, there's little areas for you to workout. There's even cute little signs to convince little kids to try it out. :D The pond is filled with ducks in the summer and gets fairly dirty, so it's not the best view in the world, but the overall park is nice. There is a parking pad in front of the park, but there's limited space. Most people park on the street and walk towards the park.
In the summer this place is gorgeous (if there isn't garbage in the pond or fountain). In the late fall, winter, and early spring, it's not filled with water and doesn't look the same. The paths are not kept up, no asphalt maintenance and no shoveling of snow off the paths. In the spring you can see the mallard ducks return, make nests, and have broods of chicks. So cute!
Super cute park with lake, fountain and stream. The all metal.exercise equipment is really interesting! There is a station for vaulting, a station for chip ups, a station for leg lifts and a station for measuring how high you jump. The paths are paved. Totally can see which areas are popular for Pokemon go by the number of people milling around with their phones!
A tiny park (takes 5 minutes to walk around it) but its so cute! Words can't describe how adorable it is. So many birds around here especially ducks. Has a bit of everything; (tiny) grassy field, trees, pond, fountain, playground, exercise equipment, and a little shelter pavilion. Gets pretty busy despite its size in the summer but it's still lovely.
This is locally known as "The Duck Pond" as there is a small pond that is fed from a fountain and short stream in the summer. There is a walking path around the pond with various exercise stops along it. The park has a small parking lot with 1 hour free parking. There is also free parking across the street on the west side of the park.
Great little park to sit down and watch the ducks in the pond. There are a series of challenges and exercises around the park for children of all ages, and the area is well-maintained with no sketchy people. Lots of Pokémon players for now since there are 8 stops in this one little park!
This is an older park near the University of Calgary (right behind SMART). There is a kids playground, a pond, and a gazebo. The area is surrounded by beautiful big trees, and there are benches around the park. I've done pictures here a few times as it is beautiful and peaceful.
While we lived in the Varsity area I took my kids to this Park every summer. Its mostly for the view.and ducks (when they are there). Only "problem" we had was a giant pile of human excrement for several days in shelter at the edge of the lake. Very strange.
A nice park in a safe neighborhood. There is exercise equipment scattered throughout and a covered spot by the water to sit and relax. There is also plenty of green space and parking. The park has no illumination at night, so after dark it isn't as pleasant.
I love to go to this small park with my daughter. She likes to ride on a springy teeter totter and those blue monkey bars. I like to sit by the gazebo and watch ducks. One round of the park is approximately 600 meters, so I sometimes walk there too.
Lovely little park to visit for a quick walk in a short loop. Various outdoor training equipment is available for use as well. Came here often in Summer 2016 during the height of Pokémon Go and it would stay bustling until 10pm back then.
I recently discovered this park because of Pokemon Go since there's 8 Pokestops there that you can hit within a 5min walking lap. The park is also great place to bring your dog, and there are little work out stations that you can try out.
Lovely paved pond, park, and garden space to walk year round. There are playgrounds for smaller kids, there's some fixed fitness equipment for all ages, and most summers a pond filled with ducks with sitting areas all around.
Extremely intense and innovative workout scene. Six packs are not a rarity here its a standard. Grunts, power noises and execellence fill the parks empty silence. Its really the place to be seen working out in 2018 yyc.
This is highly rated for Pokemon go. It is a great average walk to hit all pokestops at the casual pace if you're into actually using the gym sets an excellent place. Small area work out areas within a 400msq area
Quite a relaxing place for walks and bird watching. There's a fountain with running water, but due to the closed system it can smell quite bad. There are also calisthenics equipments along the pathways!
Great for pokemon go. If you just want to go somewhere to relax as well it's nice, there is likely to be a few people on their phones there, as long as you don't mind that. They won't disturb anyone.
Beautiful place to take the family and watch the ducks. Kids can play on the few things they have there. Nice place to walk. Also a nice place to take your partner on a quiet date. I love Calgary.
Great little park. Kid friendly nice little pond to sit around with family. If your a student this was one of my favorite places to go and study or just to get away from the stress of university.
A great location for playing 'Pokemon Go' and 'Ingress'. There is a large, close-knit collection of stops, gyms, and portals for both of these great augmented reality games by Niantic.
Cozy little place tucked away in Research Park. Fitness loop and small pond. Overcrowded lately due to Pokémon Go. So don't plan on getting any quiet time here, unless it's 6am.
This is a beautiful little park with a lovely duck pond in the middle. The length of the loop is great for a short walk or can be travelled a few times for a longer jaunt.
Lovely and quiet little park. Playground is not the greatest, but it's a nice place to walk around the pond, see lots of ducks and enjoy the big beautiful trees …
Nice place to hang out during the summer. There's a duck pond water fountain. It is located close to the University of Calgary. I enjoy taking a walk around the park.
This is a great place to de-stress and go for a nice nature walk amongst the trees and duck pond and trail exercises. Also an excellent place to play Pokemon Go
It’s peaceful and quite place. Children can play in children park which is available here . Man and boys can do exercise which is available too. Awesome tree’s
Beautiful local park. Small playground for children while the adults do the workout circuit or feed the ducks. Fall is Beautiful when the leaves turn colors.
Great local park to go for a walk or use the outdoor equipment. Also an amazing place for playing Pokemon go with 2 gyms and a bunch of stops in a loop.
Went here for the first time! The ducks are so fun! Despite there being a lot of trash and beer cans everywhere I had a good time with my family.
Great greenery and water scenery, a nice short pathway, and plenty of playground equipment for such a small place. Also amazing for Pokémon GO!
Really nice little park that has little workout stations in the loop around the duck pond. Also great for Pokemon GO. 2 gyms and 6 other stops!
I like the fitness stations, as well as the track itself. It's a nice place to walk around and enjoy nature. (As well as Pokemon Go) …
Great little spot and nice waterfront pathways, there Is exercise equipment around periniter if you choose to use it, great for pokemon go
I was walking on the pathways in this area. Beautiful and relaxing area with minimal traffic noise. Feels like some peaceful sanctuary.
There is a family of ducks that seem to come back every year and it is a great place to just sit on a bench and watch them swim around
Nice small park with a duck pond, a couple of play structures for kids, and if you're into Pokemon Go it's a go-to on Community Days.
Great for hunting pokemon. Also a nice park for doing other things like walking and being outside.... But who would want to do those?
I was exercising there and I wasn't satisfied with that calisthenic park. Also the pond or lake was empty and it smelled a little.
great place to stop by and relax for a bit, you can watch the wildlife or workout on the outdoor gym equipment around the pond.
Great park for outside workout. Those stations are fun to do physical exercises. There is a small playground for children too.
I went here for pokemon and this is a great location for finding scyther. I also found a bulbsaur and a wartortle here as well
The place is like heaven during Summer days. I get lot of fresh air and energy from this place. Nice for biking and running.
Small but beautiful park. Has exercise equipment along the pathway and childrens playground. In the middle there is a pond.
Awesome for walking your dog, pokemon go, working out (they have some outdoor workout equipment there), or doing all 3!
I come here to get pokemon. The park its self is very nice but 2 gyms and several pokestops... you better come prepared
A great small little park with a good exercise circuit. Also a great place to play Pokemon. However parking is tight.
Cute and quiet little park with a pathway, a fountain, a duck pond and exercise equipment. Has it's own parking lot.
Nice park to walk around, playground for kids, exercise equipment for adults (chin up bar, horizontal ladder, etc)
Its really nice and has workout equipment there. Also a good place to sit and relax. Lots of baby ducks to seee
Good for pokemon hunting and filling up your inventory. It's pretty crowded not recommend for a peaceful outing
Wonderful place to exercise, picnic, walk, bike or spend time with friends and family. No public bathrooms!
Great place to go for a quick walk. Has a duck pond and fountain and exercise equipment. My son loves it!
Lots of trees proving shade throughout the park. The area is nice and quiet, makes my walk enjoyable.
A beautiful little piece of nature. Definitely a must-see as the leaves change to autumn colours.
Really nostalgic for me. Lots of memories :-> here are some pictures I took the last time I went.
Quiet little park. Great location for photos. Went this morning and we were the only ones there.
Small quiet park. Nice place to relax or workout on the exercise stations surrounding the park.
Come here to play Pokemon Go! There are many Pokestops, a Gym. I could walk around for hours!
This is a nice park and is perfect for playing pokemon go. There are like 7 pokey stops here
Great for pokemon go, as many stops are in a small circuit. No lights for night time though.
Great park for Pokemon Go players, 7 Pokestops, and a gym. Also multiple exercise stations.
Very nice small park with exercise circuit. Would have never found if not for Pokemon Go.
They drain the lake in the winter. Nice place to walk around, but the walkways were icy.
The pokestops were on point. 6 in a small area. With 2 gyms made leveling a breeze
Lots of Pokestops in a small area. Lots of trainers there at all hours of the day
A fun place to relax with your kids while you bask in the cool breeze of nature.
No public bathrooms and only one garbage can other then that it's a great place
Nice for laps around the park while staring at your phone playing Pokemon go...
Nice park. Great fitness loop and the multiple Poke stops don't hurt either.
This is Pokémon raiding central in Calgary. Geek away if you love the app.
Nice in the summer but the paths are not shoveled and are really slippery
Excellent for walking your dog, excercise, core building, and Pokemon Go
Lovely little park to go for a walk. The pond looks gorgeous in Autumn.
Many Pokestops and there are even ducks in the pond during the summer.
Lovely little gem, though "park" is a loose term given Calgary's size
Nice park with some fitness equipment around the perimeter.
8 pokestops, enough to collect all at a nice walking pace.
Great little park, exercise stations, lots of Pokestops !
Nice bike paths, duck pond. Dogs must be in lease though.
Great for Pokemon Go, lot's of people and poke stops.
A great place to workout, relax, or play pokemon go
Nice place for short walk and catching pokemons.
Great Pokemon playing. Nice serene park.
No bathroom. But great for pokemon go.
