This is a extremely nice trail. I say one of the best in the Malvern, Scarborough area but..... Pros: -A nice safe asphalt trail that supports cycling and extensive walking/jogging. -Different species of trees -Usually maintained during the warmer seasons -Has little paths leading to the rouge stream -Great place to find unique and extensive birds flying around. Cons: -Not maintained during winter. -Unfortunately some people don't make it better -Dog owners do not clean up after their pets. There's consistently large dog feces in the middle of the trail. Because of this attention and care is needed while going through it. Unfortunately Seniors and kids end up stepping in it on a constant basis. -The city needs to post a "pickup after your dog" sign through out the trail. -People usually leave a lot of garbage e.g beer bottles/fast food containers in the trail. -City workers usually drive over the trail leaving dirt and mud everywhere.
We came here for a evening trail and found this to be a good trail, we even ventured into the woods and loved the dense forests and lovely scenaries. All in all a great and fun experience with friends. Please like my review if you find it helpful.
Hiking along Rouge River was a beautiful fall experience. These are not leisure trails but they are not physically exhausting either. Just make sure your dog is well trained, there are many and it is a perfect place to enjoy them! Vxo
Found this trail today and decided to follow it. This trail follows the perimeter of the zoo and through residential area. We did this trail and we came out at Meadowvale Rd we followed the Cedar trail.
Good place to be, unless it's kite season. Went biking with a friend and he got his neck caught between two kite strings. Just be careful. Otherwise, it's a great place to hike, and bike.
Even though it's close to the city centre it gives a sense of remoteness, surrounded by a canopy of trees and shrubs with erratic swatches of sunlight. It's wonderful.
My friends and I go up to the creek several time during the summer and it's great and you can get lost in exploring or camp fires.
Next best thing to hiking up north if you don’t want to travel to far. Lots of ground to cover. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
I love this trail going behind toronto zoo boundary and alot of adventure
It's a nice trail, but it's not in the middle of the woods or anything.
Summers are short but loaded with fun, Upper Rouge is a nice place
