We took our train back to Montreal from here. The Via Rail team was excellent and very supportive. We reached the station early so as to move around in the area close to the station. So we had some of our bags stored there for a couple of hours and went around the neighborhood. They give you a tag which you can show while collecting the bags. Very smooth process. Normally they charge something (can't remember) for large bags but for small to very small carry-on they might just let it go. The train was on time and the check-in and the boarding process was very smooth.
Glad I took the train from Quebec City to Montreal instead of flying. Train station is clean and easy to navigate. Check in is fast. I have ample leg space when compared to planes. Train departs on time. Staff on train and at station are courteous, helpful, and all smilely; I have much better to exp on this rail ride than with the air stewards on US airlines flights. No problem when I can't speak French - staff I have met are bilingual. I enjoy my 1st train ride on Canadian VIA rails, and will do it again.
European design structurally, fascinating to the eyes. The station is small it is easy to navigate. Coming in you’ll find restaurants and (even) dental clinic. Weighing scale is readily available. Checkin opens around 30mins before departure (they will weigh your check in bags, they did not with my carry on). 10-15mins before departure you will be asked to board the train. Road a train to Montreal, seating arrangement per row is two-one. Leg space allowance and seat are generous.
Horrible service. Our seat area was dirty. There was plenty of food left from previous passengers. They advertise the WiFi. However, the connection was so weak that it wasn't even enough to check emails. We stopped multiple times to let incoming freight trains. Because of that, we arrived almost an hour later. Our ticket cost almost $100 one way for a trip between Quebec City and Montreal. Ridiculously overpriced. Don't recommend this company to anyone.
Beautiful building, clean, has a picture stand with fake moustaches/hats/bow ties/etc. - fun for kids, ok washrooms, polite and professional Via Rail employees, a B- souvenir stand, the only minus was the stench of the oil from one of the cafés (the good thing, there is more than one food stand to choose from:) ).
Beautiful terminal building for the Canadian VIA rail system. Was here early morning to catch a train to Montreal and while the stores and restaurants inside were still not open, the station building itself was relatively clean and safe with plenty of seating available. Also love the architecture of the building!
It was our first time to take Via Rail, and our experience was great and hassle free right from purchasing the tickets to the actual trip (Montreal - Quebec - Montreal). The trips were hours long, but the staff and crew, who are friendly and courteous, made sure we're comfortable during the ride.
Great train service around the country. Buy tickets online as soon as you can price go up. Try and get the economy train with black leather sets ots the most comfortable the red fabric ones are old.
We did a trip from Toronto to Quebec and back, unfortunately all for legs arrived at least 45 minutes late. As an overseas tourist and it being an extremely long trip arriving to our hotel
Nothing against the station, but a comment on their staff. They are extremely rude and treat us like their subordinates. They say something and say “ok”? No customer service at all
Unique rail station with a very nice feel. Unfortunately the business class lounge seems to be second thought as it was a small room near the trains that fills up quite quickly.
Clean and beautiful building. This train station connects and serves as a bus station as well. A few restaurants and clean restrooms with lot of seating areas for travelers.
Good service. Only minor delay in arrival time. Attendants all helpful and friendly. Purchased food on train was very good. Good sized portion for reasonable price.
The gentleman that works by the bus ticket section is super helpful and welcoming. I was asking for directions and he pulled out a map and drew where to go
Gorgeous building but the fact the businesses are all closed on Sundays makes no sense for a bus/train station, especially when there are delays.
Tidy and comfortable place to wait for your VIA train. Staff are efficient & friendly. Would appreciate better food & drink concessions though.
Business class passengers can access to the business lounge. After boarding, nicer dinner is served with Canadian beer and wine. Cheers!
Comfortable, but didn't find à charging station. We were delayed almost an hour. Then I found out that train is almost always delayed.
Rode VIA train from YUL to Quebec City. Station is sharing place with bus depot as well. Nice small building beautiful outside
Beautiful old train station. Best way to arrive and depart old Québec. VIA Rail is clean, relatively quick, and inexpensive.
Small and crowded area. Hard to use the ladies bathroom when everyone gets off the train. Only 3 stalls …
Small business class, needs to be bigger. Otherwise I love riding trains. Greatest way to travel
Stunningly beautiful place, the people working here was very helpful and nice. Clean bathrooms
Friendly Staff. The station is so clean and well maintained. I loved the architectural design
Staff stored my luggage for the day ($8Cad per bag) which was great. Easy boarding
Great relaxed way to travel...so much more civilized than air travel.
Pretty station with bus station attached Not much in the way of shops
Beautiful building. 1st class lounge could be bigger.
Very limited amenities. Food selection isn’t good.
Nice location, clean. The staffs are welcoming.
Very easy boarding process.
Very pretty train station
