John from VU electrical has been my electrician for years now. When we first contacted him, we found him to be friendly, personable and instinctive. We had the following services done over the years: - Air conditioners - Smart switches - Down light LED replacement - Feature light installation - Smart Vanity mirror installation - Socket changes - Smart TV installation - more to come! Each time I needed something done, John will instantly give me a time and day for an appointment. He communicates very well on what can or cannot be done. He is incredibly knowledgeable and creative with lighting ideas especially. His team of staff are respectful and professional. They always clean up after themselves and ensure things are placed back as they were. Most recently, we bought an 85 inch TV and John was so efficient to bring along 3 other staff to ensure the TV was lifted safely without risking damage. The old TV was also carefully removed and set down aside neatly. It takes someone who is experienced to have such foresight. My family and I are incredibly happy to have John in our lives!

Contacted John today for an emergency power tripping issue in the house. He professionally walked through troubleshooting the issue over the phone, this involved quite a few calls back and forth, addressing the power board, its configuration and different parts of the home. Eventually this isolated the problem, to a point of resolution. He showed deft patience and skill in assessing and directing me to the right areas. Afterwards, I found out that this is part and parcel of what VU Electrical is about. In short, it places the needs of the customer's needs first and helps them in trying to resolve any issues initially themselves. I was extremely impressed by this, it save's their time and your time, and you will struggle in receiving such service from many other places, trying to sell you say a new mains board (when yours is no older ten years old!) Looking forward to further work with VU Electrical They will be first point of call on from here on.

John and his team did an amazing job installing an aircon at my place. Having purchased an aircon after the covid lockdown, most aircon installers were either booked out or charging a hefty service fee. John however was not only willing to find time in his packed schedule to fit me in, but he went above and beyond of the initial service that we had agreed upon, without charging me extra for these services. John and his team also had to put up with my parents annoying them the whole day because they hadn't seen anyone for the entirety of the lockdown so extra points to them for being very friendly to elders and still getting the job done in a swift and timely manner. They also cleaned EVERYTHING up and vacuumed my room! And although I couldn't see most of John's face because he was wearing a mask, judging from his sweet aroma I'd have to say he's probably very good looking so ladies book him in. 11/10.

I called John this morning to see if he could help as some of my power plugs weren't working in certain rooms and a switch was tripping. Within 15 minutes he had diagnosed the issue over the phone with me, instructing me on what to do, looking at photos I sent him, and hearing the outcomes. He also successfully helped me figure out what the issue was without ever having to come out, as he realised it wasn't even an electrical fault, but a rainwater pump that was causing the short. It was probably the best experience I've ever had with a tradie, who didn't want to waste his or my time coming out for a quick fix. From my initial phone enquiry through to the completion of the job, John was a pleasure to deal with. His assessment of my cooker install as a like-for-like proposition meant it was a relatively quick, and considerably less costly affair than other quotes had suggested it would be. I highly recommend Vu Electrical and will call John again, myself, when those bigger, costlier jobs are in fact required.. My only small quibble during our exchange was; because he arrived a little earlier than I'd anticipated, I hadn't quite finished clearing the old cooker, as I said I would. But consistent with my whole experience with him, John cheerfully helped me with it, then got down to his work.. A Gentleman.

John was fantastic and easy to deal with from the beginning, his quotations was SUPER competitive (almost 40% less than some of the other quotes I obtained) and his work was spot on. He was knowledgeable in his profession, giving me advice and options about switch placement, google voice activation, suitable light contrast etc. He left my place in a tidy condition after completing his work and even exceeded expectations doing a little extra (replacing my power socket) without me even requesting for it. Something was triggering my switchboard in the house on saturday night which took out all my lights, Called Vu Electrical and he guided me through the phone to see if it was an easy fix but realised something needed to be changed. This is my first time installing split systems and John is very helpful and patience in answering all of my queries in getting it installed in our house. My bedroom was a special case for us where the system has to be installed in the internal wall and he did the job professionally, clean and very tidy. He even went the extra mile to explain how to maintain the internal units and help to cut and pack the box covers. We got lucky after searching for quotes to install 3 units of Mitsubishi heavy industries reverse cycle AC units. I have never witnessed an electrician who is precise, go the length to make sure wiring is neat and educate us on the electrical process of AC. VU Electrical installed 2 X split systems AC at our home, as well as repairing worn out sockets in our bedrooms.
