The location is convenient but the station itself is very SHABBY. And there aren’t enough signs to guide your way within the station, so you can easily get lost on the platform. Usually not many people here except passengers getting on or off, thus no one to ask for directions. Would absolutely not recommend using this station without someone familiar with it. Felt like being spirited away when I got to the wrong platform and couldn’t find the way to the correct one at night!
The new font (implemented in 2017?) on train departure screens is hard to read. The previous font was better. Also, inbound trains intermixed with outbound trains is too much information noise. Very very few people ride trains from Van Buren to Randolph. Display outbound trains only, just as before.
This station has been falling apart for far longer than the last 13 years that I've been going through it. It needs to be completely shut down, gutted and rehabbed. But you can't beat Metra for the commute in and out of the city.
The ceiling needs to be a little bit higher for tall people 6"foot 2'in. It's a little bit low. There are two levels in the train station track 1 and track 2. One of them has a tunnel underneath the tracks to platform two.
Accessibility is very good with elevators on the platform for tracks 2 and 3, inside the station for track 1, and also for getting up to Michigan Ave. at the end of the tunnel.
Feels creepy. Good service but it lacked information on South Shore Line departures (I had to guess at which platform the train will arrive)
If you are taller than 5F 8IN your head will drag on the ceiling. Dump... interior looks like it was built in the 1960s.
Needs to be rehab, the structure is very dilapidated. Concrete is falling near people while they wait for the train.
While the station needs a massive overhaul, it's extremely convenient where it's situated.
The employees here are super unhelpful and they will take your concerns for a joke.
Falling apart but convenient location, lobby was leaking from ceiling, no vending
I WENT TO THE LIBRARY IT WAS NICE LITTLE STROLL AROUND THE TOWN.PEACEFUL
Warning their app sometime says incorrect departure times
Convenient. Good location in south loop area..
Really nice under the El tracks.
Clean ride on the Metra train
A somewhat confusing layout.
Awesome station
Trsin!
