We contacted Vanity Roofing among other competitors in January after just completing a temporary repair of a leak around an improperly installed roof-mounted bathroom vent that had originally been installed by another contractor. We needed the repair to be made permanent and decided that the time was right to have the entire roof reshingled. Tony Fragiskos who is responsible for sales was very informative and gave us a very competitive quote. He was also very responsive to some special requirements that we had and wrote them all into the contract. We gave him the go-ahead and he got us into the queue for early spring. Kevin Dao who coordinates the schedules, contacted us early in May to let us know that they were ready to begin the job. Ahmet and his crew showed up early the following morning to unload all the materials that were hoisted up on the roof by a very large crane. At that point we didn't see the crew again for a couple of days because of a combination of wet weather and their need to put the finishing touches on a previous job. During this time and the entire duration of the installation (which took about 3 days), Kevin Dao was always available to answer questions and address concerns. Ahmet is a master of his craft. We have what I consider to be a large roof and we found that he worked quickly, accurately and efficiently. We have a roof-mounted television antenna which he carefully removed for us and then reinstalled in the exact same position on the new shingles. TV reception after the reinstall is perfect - we were very pleased. He relocated a pair of 3-tier attic vents to more optimal locations on the roof which were not only more efficient but visually more appealing as well. A wall-mounted bathroom vent was accidentally broken during the installation but Ahmet happily replaced it. The finished product looks wonderful and we have every confidence that it will perform as advertised for many years to come. We highly recommend this company for your roofing and eaves troughing needs.

I went on the hunt for roofing companies this winter and reached out to about ten different companies. Of those, half physically showed up to give me a quote on my roof, one of which was Tony from Vanity Roofing. He was very personable, answered all my questions and made me feel like I was not just another job. He took the time to follow up with me on several occasions via text, email and a few phone calls to ensure I was completely satisfied. It became clear I chose the right company. A few months later, as it was winter when I got the quote, Kevin from VR reached out and kept me in the loop on scheduling the actual removal and installation of my new roof. A week or two later, Aaron and his team showed up and everything started. The team of roofers was excellent. Very polite and respectful to myself and my entire family. They took the time to answer questions that my wife and I had without hesitation. Aaron was exceptional and walked me around the house pointing out items that required more attention and detail. Another element that I was worried about was the clean up and nails scattered about due to having two kids under 3yrs of age. Aaron’s crew cleaned up on the fly each and everyday. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to do much pick up or cleaning after the job was done. I should add, I have a rather steep and challenging roof, with multiple peaks and valleys…they did it all in four days! Which too me is amazing. The roof itself looks fantastic and it survived our recent storm without any issues. So all that to say - if you need a new roof and want a team of professionals, who value you and make you feel like they truly care, Vanity Roofing is the right choice.

After receiving a number of quotes, we chose Vanity Roofing because they were right in the pocket on pricing, but with much higher quality workmanship and materials than offered in competing quotes. The work was completed by expert roofers with experience and knowledge -- we had an issue with a saddle near our chimney, and Vanity was able to offer a number of solutions which were properly explained to us before we selected an action plan. The roof looks absolutely wonderful, it was installed with care and the attention to detail was exceptional. We had algae stains on the old roof, Vanity was able to provide a shingle containing copper so this problem will not return. Communications, service, quality of product and installation from an exceptional crew -- all above expectations. Going over other quotes, only a few companies were able to provide this quality of installation and all of them were more expensive. Our roof was a bit over $7000 with tax - we had many quotes in the $9000 range from lesser companies, so we feel the value of our finished roof far exceeds what we paid. Clean up was amazing. Even the guy who picked up the construction bin magna-swept our whole driveway to make sure no nails or other metal debris would get in our tires. We had to do nothing after they left except take a picture of the new roof. I would highly recommend this company for roofing installation. You get the impression that the company and the installation crew care about what they are doing. They go the extra mile on every step of the process from estimate to completion. I would gladly give 7 stars out of 5 if it were an option.

Some politics arose with Vanity Roofing as I asked them to cc me on an email that was being sent to my builder. Only asking Vanity for full disclosure of what they found for the warrantee issues (faulty craftsmanship, missing pieces from the previous roofers) and roof damage from the ice storm in April and they did not do this for me. They also brought over shingles that did not match the previous ones (different name and color) and installed them without my permission or speaking with me - the Vanity boss said 'Just go ahead and do the work' - well, ummm ok then.... Though I am NOT a big fan of their ethics, I am a huge fan of one of their employees/workers, Nathan!! This kid deserves a raise!! Nathan is one of the hardest working, honest trades that I have not seen in a LONG time. This kid was on my roof in 35 degree heat today, hottest day of the summer in Ottawa - working ALONE and making sure the job got done and the job got done correctly. Poor guy should have had some help, thanks Vanity!! but anyone who hires this company - please ask for Nathan and you will not be disappointed. 12/10 and I am saying this before I get the report + photos and assessment of his work, because I feel I trust his craftsmanship that much. Though I marked them as being 'professional' - I don't felt that the company itself was, but certainly their employee, Nathan was.

No one ever talks about how becoming a new homeowner can be a scary step. Especially when you own a home with your best friend. After the storm in Ottawa came and went it was a reminder that we needed to get the work done sooner than later. I am so grateful that the renovation company Remodella Homes works with Vanity Roofing! These guys were fast, efficient and CLEAN! In the photos you can see the stark before and after difference. This work was well priced and won't have us eating rice and beans for months as we pay them every deserved penny. The three men I had met were excellent but Alex stood out to me. He was an amazing roofer and went above and beyond to make sure the job got done. Even when there were hiccups through no fault of his he remained professional. People underestimate young trades people but he is someone to follow through his career in the industry. For folks that have never had roofers work on their home before it gets HOT up there. Offer cold water, freezies, a cooler filled with ice, whatever you can if you can. Our only regret was not being able to offer baked goods. My co-owner Nicole also got to meet these gems and I'm sure a review is coming from her as well. Thank you guys and Vanity Roofing you have amazing workers! Keep treating them well as I am sure you already do!

I made a post earlier about an issue with shovelling our neighbours roof. I tried speaking to them and they first told me I was wrong until I told them I had proof. Even though I was standing there looking at the pile while on the phone with the gentleman.’They just called me back and offered me compensation for my issue if I just take down my review. Essentially paying me to shut up. I told the gentleman to please at least he give the individual some benefit of the doubt before disagreeing with them. Again there was no effort made to make it right before I told them I had Proof. That proof was not a bluff. I have videos of them piling snow in both my driveway and against my neighbour’s garage. I’ve now watched Some of that video. Turns out they piled it against the neighbour’s house the first time around. Hopefully in the future they will choose to not argue with the facts before they have them. I rarely ever write reviews. I wrote this review BECAUSE of the conversation we had in the phone and the conversation with my girlfriend. Not really because of the snow itself. Had there been a simple apology at the start I wouldn’t be typing right now.

Vanity Roofing did two of my homes. The first job went well and without issue. The second job was not as well executed. To start, contract was signed in July but the work did not start till November. When they completed the job, they left behind a huge mess in my parents backyard and all around the house. My parents never noticed as a large snowfall during the installation covered most of the mess. They came and cleaned the area mostly in the back yard at the end of March but they still left a mess around the house. A second call was made to the site manager to come back and clean the rest of the garbage left behind. The issue was that some of the garbage was still frozen in the ground but it would have been good that the site manager followed up to state he could not complete the clean up and not require me to call again to follow up. My issue mostly revolved around poor communication and execution from their site manager. Upon escalating the issue with the owner, Tufon responded quickly and fixed all outstanding issues and more within 24 hours. At the end of the day, my parents were happy with corrections so I'm happy.

I am totally impressed with all the members of Vanity Roofing Company. Every step of the process was explained before the work started. Communication with the office (Kevin and Tony) was courteous and efficient. The consultant and the work crews were equally professional, courteous and efficient. They were also helpful and outstanding from start to finish! The job was completed in a period of 4 days in between rain storms. The professional and polite crew, cleaned the job site completely and gave us a beautiful new roof. I am most appreciative of their work and the results. For a little background, I've been dealing with a leaking drain on my roof for over 18 months. The original roofer could never seem to get it fixed right but did always provide me with invoices for his "fixes". Vanity Roofing was recommended. If I had gone with them originally I would never had to deal with the frustration of having to pay for inferior work. What a pleasure to deal with Vanity Roofing, Matt office manager and Lawson who did the work. My calls were answered promptly and all my many questions were answered. On the initial visit Lawson did a water test to find where the pooling of water was occurring (never done by the original roofer) and the problem was located. With ongoing renovations Matt accommodated my reno schedule to get the roof work done. After months of frustration and trepidation opening the door to see whether the rain storm had caused pooling of water in the bathroom, the leaking roof drain has been resolved. I received a quote for Vanity to install a roof on my townhouse as well as my principle residence. While I was waiting for the Townhouse roof to be done, we had a massive storm that caused some damage on the roof at my principle residence. I called for advice on a repair since it was going to be replaced later this summer. Vanity (Kevin) came and did a thourough repair on the damaged patch. I was expecting a quick patch job considering that my roof was going to be replaced soon. Timing was excellent as well. Only two days before the work was done. This considering the massive amount of damage and the long list of repairs I am sure the company had to complete. My new roof on the townhouse was completed a few days ago and the job went very well. I recently had some wind damage, I got a referral to Vanity Roofing. From the minute I called, it was apparent why they came recommended. Highly focused on customer satisfaction! Spoke to Tufon on the phone and arranged a quote / service appointment through Matt. This team is very professional and responsive. All of my concerns were addressed, and bless them, they were even considerate of my circumstances. This morning Larry arrived to complete the work, another professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Work looks top notch, Larry took extra care in matching the replacement shingles and weather proofing the affected areas. I contacted Vanity Roofing because the first company I was talking with didn't show up and didn't return my call after they didn't show up. That's was on a Thursday. I emailed Vanity Roofing, the following day, Friday. They returned my call on a Saturday (yes Saturday), Estimator came on the Monday and did the work on Tuesday. Very happy with the work that was performed. I was advised that the quote was based on 2 guys needing over half a day to do the work. I felt that the quote was fair given 2 guys and the timelines required for the scope of the job. On the day of the repair, 1 guy showed up and did the job in less than 3 hours. Kinda left a sour taste in my mouth. I would still highly recommend Vanity Roofing as my new #1 go to for roofing but I'm just telling it like it was for me. Very clean, very professional, communication was great and highly highly recommend!

I highly recommend Vanity roofing. I was extremely happy with the work done and the overall process from quote to job completion was excellent. Called to get a price on a general inspection. Also a mild leak happened but I wouldn’t know if it’s mild which is why I was inquiring for a general inspection as their the experts. My name, number and email were taken and was advised a call back. Never got a call. Just an email. I wanted to speak with someone over the phone. I called again, asking if someone was going to call. Just an email with the pricing and pricing of the leak repair. It’s great that you’re trying to keep track of all your communication trails for compliance reasons, but a call back would have been appreciated. I was looking for efficiency and this approach wasn’t it for me. A call first to discuss it and then an email to recap should the client choose to proceed or not would have made more sense. Excellent service, on time, in fact early, had a leaking roof and they were more than accommodative to get me done as fast as possible, as they said they would be. Job well done. Looks great, took them about 4 days start to finish to tie up loose ends. What I will say is that majority of work is done by sub-trades (as most roofing work usually is). Your hiring these guys more for the certification, guarantee of work, and warranty that comes along with that. You might get something cheaper elsewhere if you "know someone", but if you want warranty, Vanity is an acceptable choice. 5-star worthy in quality, and in customer satisfaction! Excellent choice for anyone looking for repairs or roofing work to be done.

I contacted a number of roofing companies to get estimates to replace the roof on our pool house. Those that even bothered to reply to my estimate request had such over the top bids that I thought they may have misunderstood that this was a pool house and not a 4 bedroom home. Vanity Roofing responded to my request quickly, and with an estimate that was very reasonable for the work required. I had a very short timeframe to get the job done as I wanted the work completed before I removed the Winter cover off my pool. Their roofer, Larry, completed the job on schedule and left the work site in great shape. A very professional company to deal with. I will certainly refer them to my friends and family.

Our first impression of the salesman Mark was very friendly and professional. Kevin and his crew were professional and did a great job installing our roof. Due to the inclement weather, the roof had to be done in three stages totaling three days. A crew of three did the work except for the third day when they brought a forth man. A good cleanup was done all around the house but they missed around 50 nails which I later picked up myself. When I told Kevin, two crew returned ASAP to do another sweep. Three short dripedges were missed on the front overhang but when I informed Kevin, they quickly came back to install them. Overall, we are very pleased we chose Vanity Roofing in Ottawa.

After a severe storm we woke up to some water pooling in one of our rooms, with a leak through the ceiling. Vanity Roofing wasn't the first place we called, but others did not pick up the phone or could not arrive on the same day. Vanity Roofing scheduled us in right away and arrived within a few hours, far sooner than expected, and promptly cleared an ice dam from our roof. They also educated us on how ice dams form, preventative measures we could take, and general advice about how to maintain and clear the issue ourselves. There was no repair necessary but they were prepared to do a temporary patch immediately. For our future roofing needs, Vanity will be the first place we call.

Contacted Vanity in late fall along with other roofers after I found some shingles flew off my roof in a wind storm. They responded exceptionally quick and we set up a plan for spring at a very reasonable price. Vanity was very understanding when I had to change my original booked date for a later time. When the date came, their crew showed up early and worked late in order to finish my roof before rain the following day. Polite, professional, fast, and even came back after the rain days to finish up some minor work that needed to be cleaned up. Highly recommended! We bought our house 4 months ago and were surprised to learn the "new" roof was leaking around the sewer stack vents and down into our kitchen through the ceiling. I'm very satisfied with the work and professionalism from both the field staff and office staff. They were quick to come and check on my leaking roof and also scheduled the repair job a few days out from their initial visit (because of rain and snow in forecast). They fixed the vent stacks, plywood, membrane/shingles and even took pictures of the repair job throughout and emailed it to me - couldn't be happier and would highly recommend to anyone in the future.

My town home had ice-dam problem in the winter. I contacted Vanity since I thought that I need to replace the roof. Kevin came over to do the inspection on the attic, and he noticed that soffits were blocked. He suggested to redo the attic insulation instead of the roofing even if Vanity did not do the insulation work. He said the roof had a few years of life and it was better to be done together with my neighbors, or neighbor's ice dam could cause leaking in my house as well. Also, he did not charge any for the inspection. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism.

I cannot recommend these folks highly enough. I had experienced some animal damage to the soffits of my home and I was becoming a bit panicked with the arrival of winter. I received a reasonable quote for the repair and now I feel the relief. The technician fixed and reinforced the damaged area and inspected the area for further damage. He was very professional and fast. We just made it before the freezing rain. So very pleased with the work and attitude of Matt and Jay. The folks at Vanity are top notch, I dealt with Tufon and Matt, both are excellent guys. They don't fool around. They quote was completed in a very timely fashion and the price was better than a previous quote I had received. Once I agreed to the quote, they had the crew here in a short amount of time. The crew was very polite and professional, and they did an excellent job on my flat roof. My neighbor commented that they restored his faith in roofers (perhaps he had a bad experience in the past). Our roof was damaged in the storm earlier this year, and after getting quotes from several roofing companies we decided to go with Vanity. They're team was scheduled to replace our shingles in September, but as soon as the contract was signed they swung by and patched anything that they thought could be a concern while we waited. Weather postponed them a couple of times, but the team was able to finish the job quickly. They did an awesome job cleaning up after themselves, and were response to our requests and questions. We very much recommend them.

After the 2022 storm I contacted Vanity for a roof repair and the roofer arrived when he said he would, was very courteous and charged a fair price. We decided the whole roof was overdue for replacement so had no hesitation contacting Vanity to do the job, based on our previous experience with them. The crew worked tirelessly and kept me updated with what was happening and we are very happy with the result, and clean up afterwards. I received a number of quotes to replace my roof and Vanity was the most competitive and had the shingle I wanted (Certainteed Landmark Pro). The labour and shingle warranty is second to none. The workmanship was awesome and the staff were friendly and courteous. This company is also super responsive, from Tony for quoting/advice to Kevin for any installation issues. Shawn and his team did an awesome install of the shingles and skylight, I'm very happy with the job! I would highly recommend this company and the shingles we chose.

Absolutely fantastic service. Our house's roof was missing a number of shingles after the May '22 storm in Ottawa, and was leaking badly when it rained a few days afterwards, and so I called in to their emergency line. Within an hour, the roofers were at my house, and just under an hour later my roof was fixed up and good to go. Easily the best service of it's kind that I've ever come across. I can't recommend them highly enough for this, and when it comes time for a new roof, I'll be heading their way without hesitation.

We were really happy with the service from vanity roofing. We had other companies investigate the issues with our gutter but only vanity did a thorough investigation and took photos. They took the time to answer our questions which we really appreciated. We have an old house so there are always surprises and exceptions, and the team helped us determine the best approach. They also gave us a fair price and did good work. We'd definitely hire them again.

Vanity was chosen by my developer to replace the entire roof of my house because of poor workmanship (by another contractor) when the house was first built. We got one half of our roof re-shingled recently. Larry who did the work was extraordinarily professional, caring, diligent and explained every detailed.
