Went to vet beyond basics because my small bird cockatiel had small problem in one wing, the wing was little bit hanging down. On examination from the doctor in this clinic Doctor came conclusion that the cockatiel does not have any injury or fracture Doctor. Ushma Patel prescribed one painkiller drops and multivitamin drops for the bird to continue for two days. After giving the drops to the bird. The bird becam drowsy and was sleeping continuously and stopped eating anything. Second day the bird started passing loose stool and became very weak. We started ORS powder after consulting senior doctor in govt veterinary hospital Telephonically. On third day we took the bird to the govt veterinary hospital near alankar chowk. There it was shown to senior doctor in medicine department after knowing the prescription where the painkiller was prescribed the senior doctor asked me who prescribed this painkiller to a bird and he told me "this drug (melonex) is not at all to be give to a bird because it directly affects in the kidney so finally my bird gone into kidney failure and died today. So this is to inform all pet parents that the situation we have face should not happen to others so please aware of this type doctors and clinic. The photograph of prescription has been attached with your signature just in case you deny giving painkillers

Senior vets sit inside while inexperienced & uncaring interns loiter around. Nothing is systematic. The whole are is unkempt and under construction surrounded by makeshift huts, dense bushes and wilderness for stretches inside the campus. Disinterested faces and half sleepy bunch of supposed "care givers" have no empathy or basic understanding of how to go about approaching a particular animal. There is no accountability whatsoever. Except a handful, most of these half wits are only looking for grades & credits to pass & procure a certificate. Just like everything other government agency in our country they live up to the widely known astounding levels of incompetency & indifference. As they are govt funded, they simply want to churn out a steady flow of students irrespective of their general aptitude and approach towards animals. I know at least 5 other pet parents that lost theirs & were not even provided a proper diagnosis. Especially the current bunch - vet Nupur & her lazyass mates just roam around claiming that if anything comes to pass while under their care/supervision its apparently "not their responsibility".

A government run veterinary hospital to provide cure to animals like dogs, cats, goats cows etc. The veterinary complex provides complete care to pets. For pet owners this is the best facility for pets during any medical emergency. The doctors are well gene up and give you good advice on all health issues of pets. Vaccination of pets can be done here. There is a registration process and file for each pet is being maintained. The charges here are reasonable. The Timings are bit restricted. The registration is only from 1000- 1200h and thereafter in the evening from 1600-1700. On Saturday there are only morning hours. Parking space inside is quite adequate. Overall good facility in the centre of city for pets.

The interns and the PG students are involved and the senior staff seem to be guiding them to form the right attitude. The place has a huge inflow of pets Dogs, Cats and Goats, Pig, Calves and the pressure on the staff is high. If your pet is heavy and not cooperating for getting weighed or hop on to the examination table be prepared to wait. They need better infrastructure like a floor level weighing scale flush on the floor to avoid hoisting a injured or heavy pet. They may need a flush with floor movable platform to raise the pet up in lieu of a examination table for heavier pets. Stretchers need repairs. The people here care and that makes up for everything else.

Dont visit this hospital before reading this .... I brought my cat in this clinic but the staff and the doctors and not as much responsive as they supposed to be . I was going there from past 1 week but today 5dec 2023 they were treating my cat as my cat was burden on them . I think they gave overdosage of RL solution to my cat , and when i brought my cat back home she was very tired and just laying on the bed after few hours she was breathing so fast and she broke her breath . As I work here due to lot of work load there might be problem with communication with the owners and we accept the waiting time is long as the procedure for treatment of animals also takes time. Setting aside such small problems we provide the best treatment at cheper rates as funded by govt of India.The excellent Doctors at field level provide u best and precise treatment as possible,also students working here try their best at heir level. All animals are effectively treated here this clinic is runned by best institute in Nagpur ie Nagpur Veterinary College.

I can understand that everyone's experience can be different, there are students learning here and there is a chance they may make errors, a lot depends on the pet owners. My experience here has been amazing, the students currently(1st - 20th March'18), the Doctors and to top off - The Doctors in Authority here are absolutely brilliant. Easy for me to say cause they saved my Dog from what could have been fatal. The Diagnosis, treatment, healing was perfect. Hats off to the team! Such a *CARELESS* doctors !! Why i highlighted careless because with my dog it happens. Sharing my experience, my dog's leg got fractured and the senior surgen did plastered withot taking out XRAY which is massive blunder but the plaster is so tight,hard that ourdog's leg get infected. and infection infected whole leg which is plasterd. Then we have only one option remained and i.e CUT the leg so that whole body should not infect . With this careless attitude we lossed our dog one leg All I said THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING !

It's one of the best place to treat your pets..Very pet caring and friendly staff.. Thought they prescribe expensive medications but they work quite well on the pet..My boy had tick fever and had loss of appetite, was very weak, fever was high but within 2 days he started to recover very well.. Thanks to all the staff.. The only drawback is only credit / debit card payment is accepted..they don't take any kind of online payment ( Gpay, Paytm, phonepay etc.) or cash payment.

Very caring surgeons. I was getting a treatment for my dog's malignant cancer treatment. Doctors Ketki, Usha and Ram very very co-operative and handled my baby girl with care. Sadly, the breast cancer had metastasis and was spreading rapidly, my girl didn't survive. I especially want to thank the staff for helping me, in special with the doctors. They provided me their numbers in case of emergency and had the patience to answer all my queries. I'm indebted to them forever.

Doctors are friendly and always ready to help and take the most care of the animals. But like most government facilities this place is also under staffed, very small facility, few treatment beds and more pets than the facility can handle especially during late and mid working hours. This causes a huge waiting period to treat the animals. Best time to visit here is in the morning when the clinic just opens as there are very few people in line with their pets.

Good pet care hospital. Staff takes extra effort to make your pet comfortable. They have best surgery department and on call Doctors have rotational duties. Timing is 10 to 1 and 4 to 6. Sunday is 10 to 1 for only emergency cases. Be sure to carry debit/credit card as the payment is cashless. They don't accept cash for anything. Consultation charges are upto Rs50 and extra for any medicines. They treat birds, tortoise and goats as well.

My review is regarding the 24*7 emergency facilities in this hospital.As there was an emergency for my pet . It was around 10.30 pm i found there were no docter available at night shift at all. At that time my pet needs emergency oxygen but it would'nt happen any my bad luck that in next 3-4 hours my pet was no more. So my point is that , you can't be sure or expect that u will get docter available at night shift in tht hospital.

Services are really good. All Sr. Doctors & interns take lot of interest & Care of our Pets. Suggession :- Fees & Charges are accepted by "Cards" only. This is okay due to Corona but many people don't have Card & many a time if single Card don't work then it is really difficult. Yesterday I have paid for a person who came in a car with nice Dog but his card didn't worked !! Pl provide UPI facility like BHIM or Paytm etc.

The most important thing is just carry ATM debit card along with you because cash payments & gpay are strictly prohibited in the hospital . One of the best hospital in vidarbha for pets ! My golden retriever 2 month puppy was suffering from anaemia & her liver was also damaged by 80% in this horrible condition Shri. It's teaching Veterinary clinical complex. I'm a student from here. It's government teaching institute. Newly formed construction is amazing. Well maintained and hygienic campus There are different departments as per the case like gynecology, medicine or surgery. Emergency unit is also there You can go inside the campus with vehicle. If you need any help you can directly contact to staff or students.

All the doctors are interns here Senior doctors are around for any serious problems. The problem I faced was 1. No cash payment or UPI Or scanning. Just card payment possible 2. The cost of blood tests are not written any where. It creates a sense of doubt. 3. The calculations are not very clear. The cashier asked me for more money saying there was a miss calculation to which there was no clarity.

An excellent place to treat your pets, they are very very reliable and do not scam people with unnecessary operation or writing of useless medicine, this is a government institution, thus they are very systematic and truthful people... All kinds of animals are treated here, I personally bought dogs,cats,rabbits and birds here, this place is way better than private veternary.

These Doctor's did my dog's treatment for 9 days and they could not figure out what the real problem is and today my dog died. They are really bad Doctor's . First of all they should stop the interns from taking any action because these interns could not even figure out where the veins are , Shame on the senior Doctor's of Nagpur Veternary Hospitals and the whole Staff

We took our beagle suffering from ear infection and a fungal allergy to there. They treated him well. And now he is ok. Really good service. The only drawback I felt is the medicines need to be purchased from outside. I am from Kerala actually. I took my Labrador to mannuthy veterinary hospital Thrissur and there everything was available inside the hospital itself.

Good doctors with rich experience in treating animals. I have a Mudhol hound and he had an eye infection. Very happy with the services. And yes, there is a vast improvement in the infrastructure over the last time I had been a couple of years back. And the best thing is you get to see so many other breeds.

Not a good place. Even the doctors are too lazy, A doctor had just shouted at loud on be just because I had not given him water to drink. A doctor without manners, can't be a doctor . Patience must be needed. Even they had aborted the operation of my pet dog . A worst place in nagpur.

Worst doctor. Don't know how to treat animal. May be one of the case but doctor diagnosed nothing and gave prescription of medicine which is according to.him was very hard to find. We then went to government animal hospital near variety square and got true diagnosis and good medicine.

In serious case I took my dog so all students and doctors are very co operative and I hope this type of vet to be available in all villages. Only one disadvantage is there to take credit card or debit card only accepted no cash or gpay , paytm or phonepe accepted there .

If you want to spend the minimal, without being eaten by private vets you definitely should check out this place. It has a lot of docotrs to See your pet at a government level cost and it is definitely worth it. I have three cats, who have been spayed and treated here.

Very good veterinary ! My dog had demodectic mange a month ago. The doctors cured that ! Now she's recovered. Many people bring their pets here from different parts of city ! And far more affordable than private clinics.
