After my partner and I being concerned about our cat after 2 weeks of odd behaviour consisting of continous scratching, biting himself and overgrooming and not responding to anything we tried inc. Feliway, combing him, changing his food, more cuddles (we flea and worm him as advised regularly), we decided to book him an appointment with the vet, however due to COVID it wasn't for a further 2 weeks, and owners had to wait in the car park. We suspected fleas but wanted to have him properly examined and his skin checked as we are not vets and myself and my partner were distressed watching him behave in such a manner. To cut a long story short, we have now had to have a 3rd round of flea infestation fumigation, we have binned all of our bedding, towels and pillows etc and had our lives completely turned upside down for several weeks due to a horrendous flea infestation. The vets negligence (when asked "he was a little bit feisty so she didn't examine him- he's less than 4kg and tiny) and behaviour has cost us ££ and more than that our cat has suffered immensely. I emailed the practice with a formal complaint to which NO acknowledgement of said email was received, and I myself had to ring the practice and ask what was happening on 5+ occasions and once had the phone "cut out" on me. I asked for his medical records on multiple occasions which I am legally entitled to, as did the Vets4Pets client service, and this was ignored on multiple occasions, as was Saskias (the practice owners) request for an acknowledgement of my written email. I checked the complaints procedure and the email/calls should have been acknowledged within 3 days and the complaint dealt with within 21 working days. It was not until the final 21st working day after sending a 2 further emails that we received an email response from the practice owner. This insensitive response along with the medical history, (I had to ring for a further 3 times from the receptionist) denied any reason that we had booked our cat in to have have his skin/fur looked at following his behaviour. I have a plethora of information/ evidence and emails to support the above but I am most disgusted at the arrogant and rude behaviour from the practice owner, the negligence and frank dishonesty (evident in their notes and denial to the practice owner as per the email response) from the vet that saw our cat and the lack of communication and overall attitude of the practice (I must add the receptionist was always polite in handling my calls and was pleasant). Moving out of our home, having fleas crawl up our legs, seeing our cat covered in fleas suffering, spending so much money in replacement of goods and fumigation, and seeking the advice of another vet was a nightmare. We have decided to remove our cat to a different vet from the care of Vets4pets Pudsey and I would deter others when considering signing up their animal for care here.

Just visited this Vets again because my poor pup was unwell. Now, bare in mind I’ve always lived with dogs in my family home but this is the first time I’ve been fully responsible for one. I love him, we all love our pets. And these Vets4Pets people are absolutely ripping us off and preying on our feelings for our beloved pets/companions. The £42 consultation is what it is. The Vet knew her stuff, took one look at him and had him diagnosed within 6-7 seconds. Fair play. I was out of the examination room within 2 minutes and been thoroughly ripped off at the sales counter, to the tune of £184. When I got home I looked up the items that were prescribed, and to my absolute disgust, and this hurts, I could’ve purchased all the exact same items, in the exact same quantity and the exact same dosage for a meagre £43.94. So why does this company feel it necessary to prey on our emotional attachment to our beloved pets? They charged me £142.23 for medication that can be bought independently for £43.94!? Who do they think they are? Now granted I’m sure there are medications for animals that aren’t so readily available and possibly require some form of authorisation from a governing body. But please, go see the Vet, get the piece of paper from them detailing what your pet needs and then just order it online for, in my case, £99 less. They are taking advantage of our love and affection for our companions, and that is disgusting.

Just called in for some help as my dog had pulled off a small dressing on my way back from a specialist vets in the car. It was just a piece of cotton wool with a bit of vet wrap on where he had the cannula placed. I didnt want him to continue licking the leg on the rest of my drive home as he had made it very sore.. I asked kindly if I could have a piece of vetwrap/ cotton pad just to cover it for the next 5 mins to stop him licking it. The receptionists said "his leg will swell with a bandage on etc etc" He needs a cone. I am sure she has seen dogs leave the vets with a tiny dressing on their legs where they have been shaved. I just wanted something to cover for 5 mins to get us home in the car. I understand very well how dressings work. Now I know why I don't use Vets4pets.Very unhelpful especially to someone with a disability

Went to buy a plastic cone collar as one of my huskies had a mild hot spot. I have dealt with these numerous times and a day in a cone normally sorts it. Refused to sell me one without a consultation, bought one at another vets 10 mins away, less than 24 hours later it had gone as expected. I just feel some vets take advantage and try to make money when it isn't needed. If I was concerned of course I would go to a vet but having 6 huskies and volunteering in rescues I know what a hot spot is and how to treat. I just felt disappointed they wanted to charge me a fortune just to buy a cone!! Makes you wonder what other unecesssary appts are made to make money. Very sad :( only been with them a while and had one appointment for an age verification for one of my rescues. Think I will go back to my old vet

Really wasn't sure on my first visit, I didn't feel like we got told much and I would've liked more detail. However, today my cat was sick. I was very worried about her, she is usually very playful and active but she wouldn't move and was very weak. These guys were amazing, initially booked her in for 5:45 but when I called to say she was getting worse they said to bring her straight away. She was seen immediately and given the medication she needed. Thankfully it was just a viral infection and some kitty Iburprofen has perked her right back up. It's very reassuring to know that these guys pulled together for me at the last minute when we needed it most. Im feeling much better about having them registered there, and little Helga is feeling much better. Thankyou very much, we really appreciate it

Took my kokoni for castration on friday and requested a surgical vest as i have another dog so the cone would not of stopped my other dog licking his wound. I paid £30 extra for this only to be told the small vest wouldn't fit but the one they provided was too big. We was home less than an hour when i caught my boy licking his wound, i took him back to Pudsey where i was given a cone and told i would not be allowed a refund as the vest was now soild. I asked why this was given it was there fault the vest didnt fit. The manager then told me it did and would not issue a refund. The 1st photo is the vest provided by Pudsey and the second, a vest i purchased myself. The 3rd photo is one taken 2mins after putting the vest on for the photos.

Very friendly staff who are helpful. There is a small car park and the building is wheelchair friendly. I would have given five stars, however I was chased for an outstanding bill that wasn't even mine...a clerical error had happened. Luckily I still had my receipt and the statement for my bank card, so I could prove that I'd paid it on the day that my dog was seen. They do provide a fantastic service...but I would advise people to keep their bill/receipt, to try and avoid any potential stress. I would like to point out that I have been using this vet for years and this was the first time that I've had any problems. I appreciate that mistakes happen and as the service that they provide is fantastic, I am still using them for my pets.

  • Alison Kelly

I have used this practice a couple of times now and have always had a pretty good service. I had to call today to ask if they would give me some medication for my cat. She’s had this issue a couple of times but just needed a boost. I knew there would be a chance they would say not without seeing her but as I have no transportation this week I just collect get her in. The person who called me back was rude and uncaring. I was told in a matter of fact voice, you will just have to keep trying to get a taxi or bring her in on the bus. The stress this causes my cat is just too much for public transport!! I will be taking her elsewhere now as I really feel vets4pets are all about the money and not the animals welfare

We took our cat Esme here for her annual innoculations as we have done for many years. The difference this time was she came out greatly stressed. The result of this is that she was salivating due to trauma. When she got home she curl herself in a tight ball. She did not even react to offering her favourite treat - Dreamies. All we can put this down to is that this is first time the vet took her through without ourselves. Seperated from us within the alien environment of a treatment room she has panicked. I do not know why she had to go in room with just the vet. Surely one more person could have gone in with her Due to this experience I am only able to give one star on this visit.

  • Ionela Brudiu

They mainly are just for the money. One time I was there and one poor dog was crying so loud... The reply was that he just woke up from one surgery and didn't feel "happy". How it sounded that poor dog was in a lot of pain. Last check up for my cat I showed concerns about some skin problems and the vet said is just a reaction to the flee solution didn't even investigate more....no advice,no treatment, just 47.5 the check up.... That included 2 seconds looking at his teeth and scaled him. I moved here after the operation of my baby girl that nearly died because of the same practice in BD8... But I definitely need a new vet !

Would highly recommend vets for pets Pudsey. Our bulldog has had numerous visits for an ongoing problem, they have been supportive and consistent with their approach. When she went in for her operation yesterday, they were comforting and reassured us about it. They have been nothing but amazing for us this past year. We couldn't thank them enough for their support especially Saskia and Naomi. Thank you for looking after Missy and loving her like your own. As a family we are grateful to have such caring vets looking after our dog.

  • Sarah B

A very sad day as we had to say an extremely heartfelt goodbye to our faithful friend of sixteen years. May our beloved dog was treated with amazing compassion and dignity. In fact from the moment I called to make the appointment the care we ALL received was immeasurable and we cannot thank everyone we dealt with enough. A devastatingly awful time made a little easier by everyone being professional, clear, concise and accommodating of our obvious grief. Thanks ladies you were above and beyond.

Vets for pets Pudsey are fab to our dog Lola. There was a very high level of professionalism in the spaying operation the vet did on Lola and also they realised Lola had two loose teeth and they contacted me to ask wether to take them out. Of course I said yes. The scar where Lola was spayed is healing nicely and she is bouncing back to normal. Thank you to the vet and the nurse and receptionist as you all did a very great service. I highly recommend this vet to anyone who is looking for one.

  • Thomas South

I wasn’t happy with price of the visit to the vets. I spoke to the vet for 30 minutes and he kept repeating the same line about my dog. I felt as if he was deliberately trying to keep me there and my suspicion was confirmed when I got a £44 bill. I would understand if the vet gave me some advice or medication for my dog but instead a £44 bill. I don’t think charging people £44 in this day an age whilst people are struggling to make ends meet is acceptable. I would recommend going else where!

  • Shannon KW

Please consider another vet for the care of you and your pet because this is not the place you want to go. Saskia Klauck, the Practice Manager missed 10-11 of my booked phone call appointments over a span of a week and a half just for her to call me back and not receive a single apology after I had chased her around wanting to know why she was missing all my appointments. I won't be coming here again which is unfortunate because the rest of the staff are so lovely.

  • Julie Webb

I found all the staff from Ruth in reception, Sasika the vet and the nurse were all professional and explained what was to be done and why they asked me to call back at 14:00 to see when Tinks would be ready to leave they said I could pick her up at 17:00 she was ready and waiting the nurse explained what had been found and the results of the biopsy would be conveyed when they came in, he did say that the vet was not worried about the findings of the 2 lumps.

  • Chris Bonsell

DISGUSTED. Very poor experience with Vets4Pets Pudsey when trying to get my new dog fit and healthy. Always trying to add unnecessary prescriptions onto any consultation as a licence to print money! Saskia is very unprofessional, abrupt and slammed the phone down on me mid conversation. I do not feel she cares about my animal just wants to make some money.... Speaking to many other dog owners in Pudsey they refuse to go to V4P - wish I knew earlier!

  • Tina Rudge

The vets Adele and Saskia are really lovely. They handle my German Shepard really well as she is boisterous and can be nippy. I love all the staff at Pudsey they are so helpful. Ruth always helps me with my insurance claim she is outstanding. It’s home from home. They always treat us well. The prices are expensive though. But I suppose that’s general.

  • Julie Webb

I have just taken in my dog Tinks, whenever I go to this vets I am always welcomed they know my pets name the vets take time to explain what is wrong and all the options available without me feeling rushed, when like this visit I have had to make it on short notice they always find a way to see my pet I wish my doctors were that helpful! Julie

  • Annette Cole

Everyone is really friendly and very professional. I have used the practice for years for each cat we have had and been very satisfied with the practice and everything we have needed at the time and we are very grateful. Well done to all staff who work there from the vets right down to reception staff. Exceptional practice.

  • Mary Spears

Friendly and helpful receptionist who took Boris to the back to clean him up after his accident in the car and who was completely unphased by his loud howling. And who provided a clean towel for Boris's carrybox. Friendly and helpful vet who did Boris's health check despite Boris's panicky behaviour. And probably mine too!

  • Maureen Barrett

very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Vet great and very interested in my pet's history. I had previously visited another of your vets and was very dissatisfied. I was wary of visiting this one. However, my concerns were not realised. This was a totally different atmosphere and I will be happy to return with my pets.

  • I.J B

Very helpful and great customer service. I was nervous as I never had a pet before but they made it like a walk in a park for me..! Had my cat spayed, fleaed and chipped..also I got her nails clipped :)) .. I have been back for post Op check. NOT DISAPPOINTED ATALL..!!

  • angela daw

Lovely place and great staff. I took my very stressed house cat in to have a nail removed from her paw pad and the vet was love and gentle with her. I was only charged for seeing g the vet and the treatment and not the consultation which was great. Highly recommended.
