I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hostel, and I could not be happier with my experience. Bryant, one of the staff members, made my stay truly memorable with his warm smile and exceptional kindness. He went above and beyond to ensure that I felt welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. In addition to his kindness, Bryant also provided me with invaluable recommendations on places to eat and visit in the area, which greatly enhanced my stay. I also want to commend the manager, Kamila, for her excellent management of the hostel. It is clear that she takes great pride in ensuring that guests have a fantastic stay. The entire reception staff deserves praise for their outstanding service. The only minor suggestion I have is regarding the water cooler. While it is a nice amenity to have, the filtration process seemed a bit slow at times, especially during peak hours. It might be beneficial to consider adding a second water cooler to help alleviate any waiting times. Thanks to the exceptional service from Bryant, the reception staff, and the excellent management by Kamila, I am certain that I will be returning to this hostel in the future. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here, and I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

This Kokopelli was a phenomenal place for my girlfriend and I to stay for our one night in Lima. We stayed in the Deluxe room and were very impressed by the overall size of the room and how beautiful the whole property was. They accommodated an early check in for us as the people who had been staying in our room had checked out fairly early in the morning. The location in the Baranco neighborhood was great as well. The breakfast was cooked on demand for us by some very friendly folks behind the bar and consisted of an egg and ham on an English muffin with fruit. They also had a place for us to leave our luggage after we had checked out which was nice as we had some time to kill before our flight. I did knock off one star for poor sound insulation from the bar though, as you can hear everything no matter where you are in the hostel. All in all I would stay again though.

I've read both 5 star and 1 star reviews where everything they said is true. My advice: know what you're getting before you book. 1. If lots of noise bothers you, consider not booking this place. This is a late night party hostel in the heart of one of the most active districts in Lima. If you wanna sleep before 12am, even on weekdays, definitely get ear plugs. 2. This hostel itself is beautiful, being a converted colonial mansion. The pictures do make it look bigger than it actually is though. 3. The proximity to everything in Barranco is probably better than anywhere else. 4. Great staff, all very friendly 5. Wifi was good enough for me to work remotely from here, including screen share. I had to step into my room for meetings though because of the loud music during the day. My only complaint was that one night they blasted music past midnight and then blasted it again at 7am. Please chill out on the morning music guys. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here.

Kokopelli is the best Hostel in Lima!! The staff was super helpful and accommodating to my low level of Spanish. They helped arrange cabs to and from the airport making my travel day very easy and safe. The rooms are very nice and always clean. The architecture is so beautiful, it feels like you are taken back in time! The place is full of other travelers making it easy to meet other people. Additionally, they offer walking tours and different opportunities to take day trips. The night life is awesome with different bar themes and delicious drinks. I could not recommend KoKoPelli more!!

Ubicado en la Casa Rosell-Ríos, un edificio de más de 100 años de historia, actualmente hay un hostel con un nivel de belleza y confort digno de destacar. Con opciones de elegir cuartos privados o compartidos, todos destacan por haber encontrado un buen balance entre mantener la arquitecta original del lugar y el confort de una habitación actual. Las zonas comunes son todas extremadamente cómodas y con detalles por todos lados. El desayuno es bastante completo y organizado. La ubicación es excelente, ya que se encuentra a pocas cuadras del corazón del barrio Barranco (uno de los más lindos de Lima) La relación precio calidad es excelente, y la atención es otra cosa a destacar. En resumen, me encantó !

Our room is very clean and the location is perfect, but most of all the service is amazing. My backpack arrived with delay in Lima and it was uncertain if it would arrive in time at the hostel for us to catch our bus to Huaraz. Thanks to the effort of Monica (several calls to the airport of Lima and our airline company) my backpack was brought to Viajero Kokopelli in time so we didn’t have to hurry in the morning to the airport and back to the busstation to catch our bus to Huaraz. Monica didn’t have to help us the way she did to do her job well, but she did everything within her power! The service couldn’t be any better!!

The building is unreal, colonial architecture it feels like you’re in a plush hotel. Circus Party night on Saturday was really fun with DJs and there is stuff to do every night. Reception ladies Blanca and Christina (may have got the second name wrong sorry) spoke great English and were very helpful on giving advice. Also had an uplifting and positive attitude with lots of jokes flying about. Wi-Fi is quick and they have a co working space. Breakfast was nourishing with scrambled eggs, fruit and pancakes. Location is perfect for exploring Barrancos nightlife (5 min walk around the corner).

Best hostel I have ever stayed by far! I totally recommend this hostel, especially if you want to stay many days in Lima, for many reasons: first of all, it has beautiful spaces, it’s literally like a palace! It also has a specific area that is appropriate for online working and it’s really nice. The rooms are big and the beds are spacious, they also have curtains so there is a lot of privacy. Every day the hostel has a special event, e.g. Latin night or Salsa lesson, and people come together and have great time! There is a 24h reception, and the personnel is so helpful! The hostel is located in the best area possible. You have cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and anything you can imagine in walking distance from the hostel, less than 5’ mins. It’s close to the ocean too!

El alojamiento es muy bonito, hay muchas actividades y está muy bien situado, a parte, los recepcionistas son muy amables. Desgraciadamente no puedo darle una buena puntuación debido a que hoy día madrugamos para desayunar a la hora correspondiente (7:00) (teníamos prisa para tomar un bus) y el desayuno no estaba listo. Todas las personas que teníamos que dejar el hostal pronto nos quedamos sin desayuno, incluso a las 7:30 seguía sin estar listo, nos ofrecieron solo un pan y café. A parte, la cocinera fue muy desagradable conmigo. No repetiría mi experiencia en este hostal en concreto, pero no descarto probar otro de la cadena Kokopelli.

*I didn't stay here. I went to this hostel a couple of times for a drink and a dance, which was very enjoyable. Its a great place to meet other travellers over a cocktail or a beer. During happy hour you can get two cocktails for 22 soles. Bar closes at 2 a.m. Location is pretty good and the building of the hostel is amazing. Receptionists are usually very nice. I was able to let my dog stay at reception whilst I would be at the party though after two nights, they stopped allowing this. On a single occasion, the receptionist was very unfriendly and rude.

This Kokopelli is in a great location, and the building is beautiful. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. However, my private room was right next to the bar, and given that this is a very old building, there was no sound insulation. Despite using the included ear plugs, I could still hear pounding music and screaming until late at night. Also, they offer unlimited water bottle refills for 6 sol, but most times I went they did not have any water and they kept telling me to come back later.

Grande casa de verano neo classica con mucho espacio en el centro del barrio mas agradable de Lima. Camas con intimidad luz personal y cortinas. Desayuno rico y completo. Y mas que todo un equipo de gente muy eficientes y sympaticos que hacen que te queda mas con mucho gusto. De las actividades de noche super bien organizadas y animadas que permiten socializar (futbolin, karaoke, pingpong tournament) a la recepcion a cualquier hora super amable hasta el bar, o los del desayuno como las personas de limpieza es un 5 estrellas ! Durante mis 12 días en Kokopelli de Barranco. Lo que más me gustó del hostal fue la cara de presentación de la recepcionista Kamila Ventura, mostrando profesionalismo, flexibilidad, excelente trato y brillo en su corazón dando la sensación de esa vocación que destaca levantando una imagen al hostal por sus servicio turístico hotelero. Awesome place and great service! Blanca and Monica were super helpful with where to find an atm with no fees, restaurants, tour recommendations. Loved the atmosphere too. I met a lot of nice people. The five bed dorm room was comfortable and has good wifi service.

El hostal se encuentra en el corazón de Barranco, en un edificio histórico muy bonito. Mi estadía fue penalizada por una enfermedad que me forzó a quedarme en la cama por casi una semana. Lo que hizo que mi permanencia fue agradable, fue el team de recepción. Bryant fue de gran ayuda con sus recomendaciones. Paola y Kamila me ayudaron a contactar a un doctor para que me visitara. Vengan y disfruten porque aquí encontré una segunda familia

This is such a good hostel. We slept in a 12 dorm bedroom and you didn’t even notice the other people because the room and the beds are so big, and slo you have curtains all around your bed, very nice. They offer free tours everyday so you can get to know the city. Also they are really good with hosting events, which is such a good way to get to know the others travellers

Me encanta ir a kokopelli, se ha convertido en mi segunda. La dinámicas que ofrece el lugar tanto para los locales como para los huéspedes son increíbles. Great hostel! The rooms are clean and cozy with bathrooms and showers. The staff are friendly and helpful. The best part is the bar area, where each night has a different theme/activity; they had salsa dancing, free drinks on ladies night, live DJ, we danced, beer pong tournament, and they have a foosball table! There are also big tables and seating areas to work at in the common area, we stayed two nights and would definitely recommend!

Estuve quedándome en el hostel como voluntaria y tuve una experiencia de lo más increíble junto a un grupo de compañeros súper entrañables y muy colaborativos. Buen hostel, super recomendado. Las camas son bien cómodas. El cuarto compartido no es con literas (camarotes) sino como espacios privados con cortinas, locker interno y buena escalera para subir. También tiene el baño compartido incorporado dentro de la habitación. La casona esta bien conservada con sus detalles decorativos. El precio de la habitación te incluye un buen desayuno americano. Tienen actividades para hacer en el hall y acceso al bar.

Si te quieres quedar en el barrio de Miraflores es el sitio. Elegimos habitación compartida de 12 y a pesar de ser literas de 3 alturas es muy cómodo subir y bajar (no tienes que escalar). Hay dos baños y dos duchas en cada cuarto y tienes mucha privacidad en la cama En todo momento el servicio fue muy amable y el desayuno estuvo rico

Perfect location, awesome filling breakfast, they have fridge and kettle and microwave beside reception, the best supermarket directly across the road, lots of museums and bars and cafes around. The staff were very kind and activities every evening. BEAUTIFUL building, super comfy curtain beds with plugs and lockers, always hot water. I'd definitely stay again, better than Miraflores area where I stayed before, less commercial.

Amazing location next to a market, restaurants, and bars. It’s an old converted mansion so there’s a ton of charm in the architecture and finishes, high ceilings, and would be a great place to hang out in its own right. Staff is incredible as well— shoutout to Monica who was extremely accommodating even after my second or third trip to the front desk!

The staff at this Kokopelli Lima is hands down the best. Working long ours, they always help the guests with kindness and empathy. I tried 4 different rooms and they didn't disappoint. This is the spot to be in Lima.

Los chicos de la recepción son muy buena onda y simpáticos. Los mejores. Monica is the best! Lo que falta es una cocina. Me quedé solo un día porque no hay. Tuve que cambiar de hostel.

Excelente hostel en una hermosa casona tradicional en el corazón de Barranco. Además de dar servicio de hospedaje de calidad, también tienen un bar en donde se realizan actividades originales y divertidas con gente de todo el mundo. Desde karaokes hasta fiestas temáticas. Además sirven cocteles y piqueos buenísimos!

it's well located. I met Paola at the reception and she is quite charismatic and charming, she is always willing to give good advice about tourist places and lifestyles in Lima. Un abrazo, chata!!!

This is one of the best hostels I ever stayed in. The rooms are so clean. The guys and gals that work as staff are extremely friendly and even play games and socialise with you. The whole building feels like a palace. They have good local and non local tours at very affordable prices. I really enjoyed my stay here and will visit again if I go to Lima.

As always, Kokopelli never dissapoints! We booked a 4bed dorm and it was a bit dark for our taste but clean and comfy!! Music was loud cause we were next to a party but we didn’t mind since we were tired from the trip and slept straight away. Have that in mind if you book for a Sat night.

The best hostel in Lima! The staff is super nice and friendly. Big, clean rooms, fast internet and fun activities everyday! I stayed there 4 times and definitely will come back again! :)

Great hostel in a great neighbourhood. Barranco is, in my opinion, far more interesting and enjoyable than Miraflores. The hostel staff were great, the events in the hostel were great fun and the whole vibe was awesome. If I return to Lima I will stay here again!

The hostel was clean and the service was good. Lots of common area inside and outside to relax/ hang out in. We were here at an awkward time so the events weren’t running as usual. Because it’s an old building (which is beautiful!) it is loud between rooms. The location is also very good in barranco.

This beautiful house hosted me with a gorgeous smile from Monica and guided me through the hotel and help me out with my all demands. Very hospital and lovely service from the beginning till the end ! Totally recommended :)

The hostel was okay. In a good location and the exterior of the hostel looks cool but the room was very noisy. The door did not lock so people at night time kept coming into the room and leaving the door wide open throughout the night. Breakfast was not great. Basic bathrooms.

Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Baola at the front desk. Rooms and bathrooms very clean. Great fun vibe as well.
