This station offers direct train services to Liverpool, Lidcombe and the Sydney CBD, this station has not seen any station upgrades recently as shown by the lack of accessible access to the platforms. This station gets good train service and has Opal top up and single ticket services. A positive note is that most services are run by the newer "waratah" trains which provide modern air conditioning and clear on-board announcements. Staff can also be found at this station on weekdays with toilet facilities at this station when staffed.
This station is quite unique amongst many of the stations in Sydney as it seems relatively unchanged from its inception about 50 years prior to the first fleet arriving in Botany. Not saying this is a bad thing, as it has a certain charm, but the lack of wheelchair access/lift is restrictive and problematic. There is a large number of disabled residents around Villawood and having a train station directly next to them that they cannot even access the greater surrounding community is disheartening and disappointing.
Old, dilapidated station with no wheelchair access. With Western Sydney booming, it leads to chronic congestion. Nearby Woodville Road is already choked, yet the rail line is completely freed up. Trains are so infrequent that there is no incentive to use public transport. Combine this with limited access to priority groups such as people with disabilities, wheelchair users and parents with small children and buggies, it is obvious that our roads are choked to the limit.
An old fashioned station with minimum amenities. But still a lovely place. Used to live there!
Because no lift? no ramp? for in an out the station too disability people's.
There are trains. They are trains, they move, thats good enough i guess.
A bit more under cover waiting room would be nice as would an elevator.
