I enjoy visiting this park and generally feel safe at all times but after today my guard has definitely gone up. I love taking my dog here for early morning walks or evenings when the hot sun is about to set. It's a high traffic area where families come to spend quality time but unfortunately there is a huge lack in security. Most park goers visit for the dog parks since it's one of the greenest in the city. The parking lot on Tenaya and Alexander is typically full at all times and only hold about 10-12 cars max. Additional parking can be found further west along Alexander but requires a longer walk to the dog area. There is no surveillance or CCTV monitoring both parking lots which warrant major safety issues. During my visit, my car was broken into and wasn't the only one. Park goers warned me and explained that this isn't the first time this has happened. Car break-ins have allegedly become rampant in the past 9 months. With no security or safety measures in motion, how are we supposed to feel when we fall victim to senseless crimes like this? To whomever maintains and manages this park please help the community by building safety measures that'll help victims catch perpetrators! Security and surveillance cameras would be a step in a positive direction.
This is a nice park. There's a good walking/jogging trail around the smaller part of the park. It's soft on the feet, with some give. There's a playground, skate park, and a field perfect for playing with a dog, plus a couple of tennis courts. Next to the green park is a basin with soccer fields and a dog park, and there's a nice paved ealking/jogging trail around the rest of the block. Then, cross Buckskin and you enter another green park with several shaded picnic tables and another winding path around it. Then on the Tenaya side is another catch basin and a wide gravel path down whatever road that is - Gowan maybe? - and then a paved path along Tenaya. I normally do a sort of figure eight around the two, and it's good for about 7000 steps (I have long legs).
Extremely pleasant park. Useful for individuals, everything being equal. Canine parks, horseshoe region, verdant open space, track, spots to sit, tennis courts, skateboard park, youngsters play park, and a colossal path for strolling. My family and I go each week and it never dissapoints. Profoundly recommend, a wide range of activities, and lovely trees and view. Be careful on Monday mornings, the sprinklers are on, so turf/track will be wet and get splashed on in select regions, for timeframes. In any case, love this stop and profoundly propose.
This is where I put in for a nice 10-14 mile bike ride. The park is at the end of a asphalt & concrete trail that runs clear over to Summerlin Parkway, and then connects to another bike / walking path. in the past, I've ridden all the way up to the JW Marriott. I've always felt safe, even though you might encounter an occasional homeless person. there are two 'overpasses' that take you over Cheyenne, and ?? . And two places you cross the street, however, they typically aren't busy, and there are street crossing lights.
Very nice park. Good for people of all ages. Dog parks, horseshoe area, grassy open space, track, places to sit, tennis courts, skateboard park, children play park, and a huge trail for walking. My family and I go every week and it never dissapoints. Highly suggest, many different things to do, and beautiful trees and scenery. Beware on Monday mornings, the sprinklers are on, so turf/track will be wet and get sprayed on in select areas, for periods of time. However, love this park and highly suggest.
One of my favorite parks here in Vegas!!! If you have pets there is a huge pet park on one side that has multiple sections for big and small dogs. Everyone's super friendly. On the other side there's a track if you want to jog, good shade around the tracker. A few more pet attractions and there's like 3 different play areas for children. A smaller area for toddlers and then two bigger parks for older kids with swings and more!!!
Love the park. I usually take my dog to the dog park. It's in a bit of rough shape with dogs digging. It would be great if the owners actually watched their dogs. Some do but many don't. So watch where you walk cause those owners don't pick up the poop. Anyway, the city is working the grounds to get them in better shape. It's still a wonderful place and I was able to train my dog to accept being around many dogs--big and small.
This is a lovely park. I can often be found on the two, well maintained tennis courts, strolling on the tree covered jogging path or walking on the connecting trails. The jogging path has exercise stations too. The park also has many public picnic tables many of which are shaded by mature trees. Down the hill are a couple of large, enclosed dog parks. Parking in the park is somewhat limited but you can also park on the street.
Trails, large shade trees, playgrounds, skate park, covered picnic tables, tennis courts exercise stations and a large parking lot. I often bring my baby and dogs to walk on the shaded path in the main park. There are also longer trails that are great for biking. They even have a recumbent trike rental in the park to ride on the long trails around the basin. The only downside is the bathrooms aren't clean.
This park has a fabulous running track with beautiful peaceful trees bordering it. The boulders surrounding the park and track are just perfect! Downside....Too many dog owners that are too stupid to keep their dog away from people. There are very few considerate enough to move their dog instead of taking up the whole track. Clearly these owners need some discipline....bring a taser
OMG... Bring YOUR Dog... Matter of Fact, bring your neighbors dog, and their neighbors dog and all their neighbors dogs. This place is AMAZING AND HUGE. One caveat... Hey... It's a dog park too so the heat brings flies. Bring repellent or stay on the move. They have a running track, volleyball pit, horse shoe pits, tennis courts and plenty of covered picinic areas. Awesome place!
Park is small but decent has a nice skate park though also includes a big dog park 2 seperate fields for small dogs and big dogs
Playground
Missing half of what it use to be but is clean
Restrooms
Needs a spray down
Dog-friendliness
Looks like 2 separate fenced in fields one for small dogs one for big
Picnic area
Has multiple picnic areas with grills
VA Recreational Cycling staged here. Great location for orientation and eventually as a participant in the group rides. Special Thanks to the City of Las Vegas as a sponsor and supporting the Veteran's. Also appreciate Doug, Scott and Adam's involvement and their assistance in this program...Nice walking areas and dog parks in the bunker for the locals. Great location.
Very nice park, clean facilities, has skate park area, tennis courts, nice and clean pavilions. Trash cans are emptied every night and trash liners replaced. The BBQ pit cooking surfaces were clean. I was impressed with the maintenance and upkeep of the place. Even the bathrooms were clean and stocked with toilet paper and paper towels as well as air hand dryers.
A lot of parking. Green areas to stare at for relaxing. Tree areas to be near for shading. Concrete slabs of various shape and curvature to roll around in if you have wheels connected to you. Bring your frisbee, football, and fun-loving friends. Put up a net and play badminton. Throw down some meat on the barbecue. Really, the possibilities are nearly endless
This is the best maintained and beautiful park in the city, hands down. I’ve visited most parks in town, and this one is consistently top notch. I go there every morning and sometimes in the afternoon. Very green and great for most activities. You can even see Red Rock from there. Big recognition to those who take care and maintain the park. Fantastic work.
I actually like this park now. They rebuilt one of the children's playgrounds. They have a large trail for walking or riding your bike. There is a restroom. Also there's several places for kids to play. It's a pretty large park. They also have an area where you can skateboard or ride your bike. And fields for your dogs. They also have a tennis court.
NOT SAFE!!! Horrible park. Cars are constantly being vandalized and broken into. Do not leave any valuables in your vehicle at this park location. The druggies and bums will look into your vehicle as soon as you walk away from it to see if you have anything worth their while to steal. Park has zero surveillance. Very unsafe despite the area.
Very beautiful park ,plenty of trees amazing breeze , tons of 4paws friends all running around ! Perfect for family s dog gated parks included , joging trails , lone mountain trail . Restroom s provide. Training area's as well . Pretty scenery of the sunset ! Extremely peaceful, also quite park Lets keep it majestic!!!!
Make sure you lock your car and hide your valuables. This is a beautiful park that I love to go to, but I know two people who have had their car broken into here. Park somewhere that you're able to see your car the entire time as well! This is my favorite park to run at in Vegas and they just upgraded the track here. ❤️
I love this park because of the big space with everything in and around it, for all group ages and canines. Trails, playgrounds, bbq spots, excercise thingys, skateboard play place, the dogs own massive space sectioned off, bathroom, swings, etc...and its got a lot of SHADE because of all the trees around this park.
I love going to this park. They have nice dog park and it is really big. The park itself is large. They have a lot of grass so my family and I normally go there and have a picnic. They also have a tennis court, playground, and skate park if you are into that sort of stuff. It's just a very peaceful place to go.
I have been going there for at least 15 years i like to take my yorkie there for the dog park and the trail is like walking in a tunnel the way the trees canopy over the walkway . It also has a 1 mile walking or running track that goes completely around the water basin dog park next to the actual park .
I was introduced to the park bc I took a recreational rehab program through the Veterans Hospital for injured vets through biking. Some bikes are modified to adapt to impaired vets. The park is nice and good for walking, biking, riding, skate boarding, park. It's a nice size neighborhood park …
A friendly park with a large walking loop with workout areas. The playground has shade, but that's about it. So an early morning or evening trip is recommend during the hot months. The large grassy area inside the track is a great place for frisbee, football, or kicking the soccer ball around.
Came here with the family. Semi-clean playground near the teneya street corner, baby wipes help. Sand can be slippery for kids but it wasn't too bad. There's a sunshade so, for now, nothing is getting hot. The playground is gated so your little ones would have some difficulty trying to leave.
We love the dog parks, perfect location, huge flat area, well fenced and well lit...staging area when you walk in, plenty of parking, clean and very well kept, benches, fresh water, trees and covered areas for shade..this is our go too...separate parks for large and small furry children
Super badass park(s) along the trail that runs north-south through the north-western side of Las Vegas. I will DEFINITELY be returning to this park regularly. Anyone with kids should utilize a place like this to not only let the kids enjoy themselves, but also to enjoy yourself
Went for professional dog training. Huge park, great for dogs and people.
Restrooms
Could use some updating, but clean
Dog-friendliness
Very dog friendly. 2 fenced in zones as well as acres of walking space.
Picnic area
Tables, volleyball, skateboard...
LOVED it, it's a long narrow park with tons of shade, an excellent walking/running trail, tons and tons of trees and grass, well maintained and 3 seperate kid's slide/play areas. As A bonus, it also has a cement skate park for older kids. Lots of parking and very quiet.
A big park full of tree's and green. 3 nice playgrounds. A nice pad for runner's. Lots of Grass, Benches, water fountains, Tennis court, And a Big enclosed space for dog's, 4 cages depending on the size of your dog. (Located on the Tennaya, left side of the park)
Pros: clean enough, plenty of open space, plenty of parking, great trails, separate sections for dogs Cons: obviously dog poop, dogs roaming off leash (everyone thinks their 'fur baby' is the exception), bikes ridden on jog/walk track (clearly posted no bikes)
Nice open spaces. Good dog park with multiple parks for big and small dogs. Plenty of water for the dogs. Nice tracks for walking and running. Also tennis court. 3 playgrounds for kids also a skateboard park. Some of the kids playgrounds need updating.
The park is rather big with nice green grass. Unfortunately for children the play areas are old and to me even dangerous. This is a nice place for sports or just enjoying shades from trees but it is not a place for who want to play with the equipment.
Always having to watch where you step. People don't pick up after their dogs and lots of pine cones on the ground (easy to twist an ankle). There should be no parking on the street next to the park. Makes it hard to see oncoming traffic.
Homeless man living either in the row of trees along the vacant lot behind the skatepark or under that bridge/drainage tunnel. Aggressively threatening park users who weren't even near him. I was previously under the impression police
Great dog park, big and little dog runs that are huge. The kids park is ok only 1 swing for big kids and 2 for little and not a lot to play on, nice tennis court and general park bathrooms. But the dog park is worth going to for sure.
Nice big park. Clean. Has a skateboard area and dog parks. Our group dog training is held here on Saturday mornings. Nice big clean grassy areas with not many people or activities around. Today is a beautiful sunny day to be outside.
Pleasant place for kids to play! Plenty of places to barbecue, hang out, have a party, enjoy the beautiful spring weather! Nice clean play area and nice folks. We had a grandson's second birthday there and it was perfect, very nice.
I come here regularly to run. It has a .47 mile rubber track that is protected by trees. As well, there is a 1.25 mile loop around the basin. The tennis courts were recently redone. Good park for exercise. Their is a dog park too.
Pretty good park, has a long track to walk or jog and a short path to walk or jog. Nice tennis court and a decent skate park. Only thing I don't like is that bathroom has no stalls with doors. But an all around good park.
It's a nice park, only went to the playground for my kids but it was nice. People out walking their dogs and walking solo. Looked like tennis courts too. Quiet and relaxing. Will bring the kids back to have fun again.
This park is in need of much deserving upgrades. Some of the features like the kids swings are just unsafe. Come Vegas let's make sure all children have safe and fun parks accessible and in their neighborhood
Nice atmosphere, quiet, kid and dog friendly. There is a separate fenced in area where you can let your dog run around with other dogs and people. The are 3 gyms and 4 pokestops for pokemon go.
Good local park with a full range of activities supported, from dog park to skate park.
Playground
Lots of choices
Dog-friendliness
Nice fenced dog park area and walking paths.
Great. Park n great. Dog park for. Training with dogs big or small. Need. To work on water. Stations. One. By the tennis area. N track does not work. Thanks. I hope it works next week.
Great place for everyone. Play places for young children, bike paths, walkways throughout the park. Dog cleanup bag all around the paths. It has Pokestops for those who play PokemonGo
There's just about anything you could want in a park right here. Walking trail, skateboard park, eating areas, playgrounds, dog park, beautiful foliage. The people are friendly too.
Great place to go to bike or run, there's also a track for just running or walking.i don't have a pet but there's an area to take your pets. People are very considerate Love it!!
Beautiful Park and lots of trees for some shade. I Love the Dog park, everyone is very Welcoming and LOTS of space for your 4 Legged Family member to get all that energy out.
Always fun but remember it is outside so it subject to inclement weather. They're really trying to pick up the garbage around the play sets. Much appreciated, thank you!!
If you have 1-2 years of skating under your belt you can make this park work, it’s just super tight with sleek concrete. Every time I visit this park I anticipate blood.
It has a good amount of shade, which is great in the summer. There is a Horseshoe area, a big running/jogging track, and a dog park nearby. There are public restrooms.
It's ok, has a HUGE soccer field, some kiddy playgrounds and a nice walking trail. Nothing a kid over 6 would like, unless they are on a soccer team. My dog liked it.
EXTREMELY spacious! Oodles of different activities to chose from. Place for ALL ages, young and old. Can even choose the walking path that is miles and mile long.
First time at this park, was very relaxing,a great way of exercise by walking, friendly faces and people nice will go again, just a nice atmosphere loved it! V.C.
Great big park with 3 play grounds, running track, paths to walk, and lots of open areas to have outdoor fun at. Lots of trees and pavilions to provide shade.
Wonderful park for walking on a foam pad track under many shade tree. There are exercise stations, game areas, playground, bike rentals, restrooms and more.
The bathroom was open I was very glad about that, but otherwise I found out a lot of people bring their dogs there. It looks very clean so that's wonderful.
Nice park overall but it’s a little creepy in the night time. During the day there’s a lot of people walking their dogs, jogging , teens hanging out.
Nice that it's flat and can have shade. Our friend has a dog that loves going on long walks. Wish more people picked up after theirs as she did.
Its beautiful. You can bring your pets to walk.. while mommy's and daddy's and others walk around.. my kids loved it first time going 9-22-2020
Pretty cool skate park. Small, but not busy at all on a Sunday morning. Lots of glass and trash though. Should get someone out to clean that up
Love the running trail, its half a mile and is soft on the knees. The volleyball court needs a STRONG makeover though, there's never a net!
Someone is breaking out car windows. In the pass six months 4 different cars has had their windows broken. Need a petrol car in the park..
My kids love coming here. Other kids are friendly and compared to a lot of skate parks I've visited in the past the profanity is minimal.
The kids had fun and it's a great park, but my there was something in the sand that was biting them up...need to get that taken care of!
A lovely dog friendly park with some good fenced area for them to runabout. Nice rubbery jogging trail and sandy play gym for the kids.
I think it is the best place in Las Vegas to do your daily walk. Nice shade when walking and a great pathway. Thank you for the Park .
Great Park for biking, the basin next to it gives you a great path to go on. Additionally the Lone Mountain Trail is great as well.
Park is well kept and clean all the time. Lots of friendly people exercising and Park is dog friendly. Restrooms are clean as well
This place has so much park, my son actually want to leave becayse he exploered so much and was draind lol. Their gyms are amazing
It's a really nice park to have in town. Just be careful when walking over grass as not every owner may pickup after their dog.
Clean facilities and a great place to sit and relax for a few minutes after a long day. Also a great place to walk the pups!
It was nice and calm, went for a company picnic. It was missing a volley ball net though, but other than that no complaints.
I went to the Barkin dog park behind the main park. Dog park is a very nice large set up of closed in runs....was fantastic.
Clean. Well kept and maintained. I like the fact that somebody made a conscience effort to leave care bags for the homeless.
Cute park, perfect for the baby shower we attended.. just wish the bathrooms were closer to the little kids playground area
Not too crowded, people were respectful about cleaning up after their animals and everyone wore masks when close to others.
I love walking around this park in the evenings. Feels safe, and it's got places for kids AND dogs to stretch their legs.
I really enjoy this place. Lots of dog lovers and fitness conscious people of varied ages who are open to a casual chat.
It's been 20 years since the last time I was here, and it's still as beautiful and family friendly as it was back then.
Not the greatest park, has a good length for walking and a small playground with many shade spots and a few gazebos
Visiting from L.A. this was a very dog friendly park. The walking path was great. Wish we had on like this in L.A.
The transition are better then some of the other parks in Vegas,NV nice grind boxes and alright flow a spot to go
Nice park n very pet friendly!! Stopped here with the kids to have lunch while in vegas..definitely nice park
Wonderful, clean park with something for everyone. Great place to walk your dogs and get some exercise.
Large park with a lot of things to do. Very nice park!
Dog-friendliness

I love the dog section in the middle bottom area. Its fenced in a dog can run without a leash
Nice family park! Walking trails, skateboard park and a huge dog park for all sizes of dogs.
Very nice park. Some water fountains don't work great but not a big deal. My kids love it.
Great walking trails, dog park, tennis courts, gym equipment, volleyball court, bbq pits.
Great little park. My children loved the time we spent here kicking a soccer ball around.
It was fun wish they people clean up the dog ish take more time on the park and clean it
