"This shop is a must"
Unresponsive, kept ringing the assistance bell for almost 15 minutes at ROMFORD Branch. Also, i went downstairs to find the staff member and told him that there is nobody upstairs to serve. He said, he’ll be right away and didn’t turn up. Had to wait for another 6-7 minutes. Very disappointed with the behaviour.
Stopped of to post a couple of parcels as usual queue was long and so was the wait, then someone came out from the back and one by one guided us through the self service till. Machine was interesting to use but I don't think I would have the confidence to do it on my own yet.
The store itself is pretty good, although sometimes hard to manoeuvre (I use a walking stick) when shelves are being filled. If you are visiting the post office upstairs though it's advisable to bring a packed lunch, sometimes you can wait an age
I came in here to find a book on clearance asked a member of staff who said she was too busy another member of staff was helpful but no book went to get myself two drinks a coke and engergy drink scanned at self service tills lady colleague
This shop is a must. I always go here, even if it's just for a browse or to buy things. Situated in the The Liberty, Romford. I've been going here since I was at school and that was about 11 years ago. I buy the books, sometimes get a drink
Tall white man looks like a manager I'm romford branch, abit over weight is the most unpleasant man I've come across. He is no help, very abrupt when asking for help....think his 'manager' position has gone to his head! The only reason for 1
Went to post office upstairs but found some great bargains today. Mary Berry cookbook is amazing and a great deal in the 2 for £10. Very happy with WHsmiths. Will keep popping in. Defo encourage and recommend others to support the business.
I wanted to give it no stars but the site wouldn't allow it, one person on the till and the queue went down the shop, both self scans were playing up and when the cashier was asked politely if someone else could get on another till he just
i get my weekly magazine from here as i have not subscribed to the magazine company and have told the store that i pick up my magazine issue weekly but they always have the issue in every-week and have more then one copies, like the other
I use the post office quite a bit not happy with the cue sometimes have to wait half an hour to be served .They have new computers but i do not wish to use them as I prefer to be served by a human and help people keep their jobs. lots of
The post office in this shop is very very busy. There is NO where to sit and write out an address etc and as a stick user this was very disappointing. My friend took me to another on our way home. The staff at the shop were ok and really
Only needed a biro refill but after going upstairs nothing suitable for my pen. A very nice young girl tried to help but couldn't find the correct size. She was only assistant available on a quite large floor area. Very difficult to find
After seeing what they get up to on Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's TV program I am somewhat disappointed that they have not addressed their sweet policy. Putting rows and rows of chocolates, sweets and poor choice snacks in their queuing
Always go in here to get my children's magazines they always in stock on time and have a great variety. Also look for resourceful books, bought " my inner chimp" which is great with dealing with emotions. Also another called " my mixed
Good selection of books and stationary. On Sunday the shop opens about 10:30 for shorts to browse but the tills do do open until 11am the Starbucks next to it is a good place to wait as it was open at 9am this morning.
OMG they stand behind the counter sometimes 2 serving 1 laughing and chatting with each other ignoring the 15 people in the queue. Absolutely disgraceful service 2nd visit exactly the same service.
Expensive, yes. But good stuff too. If you really want it they normally have one in stock somewhere or will order it for you directly from the printer for books or manufacturer if anything else.
A bit of a hit and miss branch. Actually quite large once you get inside, and reasonably well laid out. The biggest issues always seem to be the self service tills and lack of staff.
It's stationary store and Post Office in First Floor. Stationary prices are slightly on higher side. BRP cards for Work Permit can be collected from Post Office.
Has all the school supplies your kid needs with excellent staff. There's such a wide variety of choice for all the products my child would want for school.
Good selection of text books A level. Best check online for availability first. Staff was excellent in searching store and stock room. Found the books!
Gradually changing to more self service check outs which I don't like. Good variety of books, stationery & magazines. There's a Post Office upstairs.
In my opinion post office should be on ground floor. Awkward for elderly people or disabled. A lot of people don't like using lift or escalator.
Good deals on Stationary as long as you buy something in the store. For example gel pens normally costing £8 you can get for £2
Love it! Mainly because i got the last volume of heartstopper for £4 like whattt love the deal will come back again
Your average WHSmith, but the post office updtairs is very slow most of the time
I wish they would answe their phone during opening hours. What a joke !
I like WHSmith so this one is same. Added value:
