The Date of Customer Service Experience Friday, 9/18/2020, Time: 4:12 pm, Purchase Amount: $93.39. I don't get it all, that when I bring my own checkout bag, the cashier does nothing to help or support me. I have to speak up, & request that they do some packing. What is so difficult to understand, is the checkout cashier just stood behind the plexiglass barrier, & watched me struggle & rush to pack up all my purchases, so I wouldn't hold up their checkout line any longer. When I finally finished shopping, my rolling cart was filled to over-the-top. I waited in the checkout line, until it was my turn. I lifted the quite heavy cart onto the limited counter space. Even before the Covid-19 Virus Pandemic, the Walgreens Checkout Counter Space was extremely limited. They aren't made for checking out large quantities of goods. This situation has been exasperated due to the Covid-19 Virus Pandemic, as Plexiglass Barriers have now been installed to protect the Walgreens Cashiers. Understandable. It appeared, the checkout cashier was having difficulties with reaching over the top of the cart, so they could grab the items to scan. I pitched in, & I took each item out of the cart, & I handed it them. I was wearing polyurethane gloves. I have been shopping at the three (3) Walgreens close to my residence for over six (6) years. I have completed- at least 15/20 Walgreens Online Surveys, which can take 10/15 minutes to complete. I have consistently reviewed my positive & poor-quality customer service experiences. My time has a certain value to it. I have given up on doing Walgreens Surveys, as they dont seem to make much of a difference. This is why, I have decided to post my Walgreens 1301 Market Street, San Francisco, CA (@ Market & 9th streets) on YELP. Due to the Covid-19 Virus Pandemic, it appears Walgreens is consolidating & closing stores in my neighborhood area. The stores, which are still open, have less & less stock in them. I have been Sheltering-in-Palace to protect my health, as much as I possibly can. Because of this situation, I run extremely low on numerous items, which I purchase at Walgreens. This results in having to purchase a lot of items, when I go to my neighborhood Walgreens. There were only two (2) checkout cashiers available, when I checked out. Because of my large purchase, the checkout line started to back up. It took five/seven (5/7) minutes for management to call for backup cashiers. Not good at all.
Sometimes, when the line is long at the registers up front I go to the back pharmacy so I don't have to wait, which was the case today.. After standing in line for roughly 15 minutes, clearly I made a mistake, I finally reached the counter.. the cashier became highly upset when she realized I was purchasing only my groceries at the pharmacy counter... I don't think this is totally uncommon when the line up front is long.. anyways after belittling me and refusing to ring me up, I was met by what I believe was a manager... he did ring me up, only while taking his entire life frustrations out on me... unfortunately I began recording at the tail end of our encounter because he had a lot to say and I missed most of "the good stuff"... a lot of degrading, belittling, overall mean and unprofessional comments were made along with him mishandling (as seen in the video) my groceries... I told him several times because I couldn't think of anything better to say that wasn't rude, that he should put a sign up stating that you must be a pharmacy customer to check out at the pharmacy. I don't see how ringing up my my small amount of groceries was this is big of an inconvenience and reason for treating a customer so poorly. This is not the kind of treatment I've come to expect from Walgreens, although they're not always the friendliest, and I'm afraid I'll probably not be returning to this one anytime in the near future. Had he caught me on a bad day I can assure you I would not have been as chill as I was today...
When I first visited this pharmacy, I complained that it was the slowest Walgreens pharmacy I’ve ever visited. However, I've since come to greatly respect the staff at this branch, as they probably deal with the most varied clientele of any Walgreens in the City and somehow still manage to deliver great service. With its convenience to the residents and visitors of mid-Market, this location is in the midst of all the action. It has to be anything but easy to work at, and every employee here has my utmost respect.
I love the pharmacists, but lordy, it goes so slowly. Maybe they should invest in reorganizing the shelves for ease of use, or perhaps they're just plain old understaffed; the service is great, you just need to bring a book or a game on your phone, cuz you'll be there a while, otherwise I'd say 5stars, the staff has always done whatever they needed to to get my questions answered etc. So I like em, it's just at a "line/que forward" experience
I get it. You work in the hood. But the pharmacy team here is down right nasty. They will scream at you, make you feel bad about coming to get medication as part of medical care, and will downright sit in the back and chat/not work instead of filling scripts. I’ve also seen people get physically assaulted in this store and the employees just laugh and do nothing. Walgreens should tear this store down and start with a new team.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. You call in an order and they tell you it hasn’t been submitted and that you have to wait 30 minutes to get it filled when you just waited 30 minutes. You can’t get a human on the phone to save your life. Which in my case is true. I can’t get the meds I need to keep me alive!! Worst pharmacy ever!!!
When I went there a couple days ago I arrived 20 minutes till closing to pick up a prescription for someone. The security guards tried to say that they were closed and was trying to make me go back out. I refused and asked to speak with the manager who then let me in to pick up the prescriptiond.
The pharmacy staff seem dangerously incompetent. They gave me 21 pills for a 21-day 42-pill antibiotic treatment. I wonder how many superbugs they've caused.
An hour and a half for antibiotics. I had to fight them to put in the time to figure out my insurance. Then 20 more min to get the actual prescription.
I had the worst experience at this particular Walgreens. Confusion about prescriptions. Always late. And very unprofessional staff.
People here are rude and will make it seem it's your fault that their system lost my advanced order.
Clerks are very helpful and friendly. Security very competent in the handling of their duties.
Is a good place. But like every where in San Francisco a lot of homeless people
Waited over an hour for a simple prescription. Extremely disorganized and slow.
All ways a lovely place to shop !
