{[For any others also finding it Impossible to confirm this as a 24 hour location, as of May 1 it is positively confirmed by staff to be.]} I'm currently on hold waiting to speak to someone in person before I walk the mile to their store. The online Google info states 24 hrs as does their automated system but experience has taught me the hard way not to trust this. At 20 minutes on hold (Monday @ 8 pm, one person ahead of me, the auto bot tells me,) So I decided to kill time reading reviews and the most recent complaints state that they close at 10 (or 10:20 - "right in your face" ), so here I am at 8:30 wasting prescious time for someone human employed at this store to pick up the incessantly ringing/beeping phone to confirm their location hours, but for whatever reason no one is picking up. The dystopic and irrational behavior of businesses recently is only escalating, but the answer isn't online shopping because this is what we're being pushed into with this behavior. My family owned corner store has much of what I need and had I projected this experience I would have gone there and made different plans for tomorrow. {28:33 my call is finally attended to. No "thank you for holding", just a (thankfully) chipper woman who gave the 'Thank you for calling ' speal who confirmed that this Is Indeed a 24 hour location [for now, at least. It could change tomorrow as we all know]. *I will edit this rant to include this info at the start of my review to help others with the same unexpected goal of getting blood from this stone. Is it true that they don't have baskets or carts, as other reviews complained? I guess I'll find out soon. This illogically inconvenient tactic and others, like putting simple products under lock and key has a motive. Bypass the narrative and shop locally. I would if it didn't involve an animal who relies on me but I'm learning quickly. Support Family Owned!!
This Walgreen's pharmacy should be useful because of its location and hours of operation, but its pharmacists are incompetent. On Thursday 1 Feb. '18 around 9:00 PM, I went there with my girlfriend to transfer her prescriptions from Walgreens to BCBS mail order pharmacy. She had called the BCBS pharmacy ahead of time and confirmed that the transfer has to be initiated by Walgreens. We explained this to Bee about four times carefully. He asked his supervisor - a pharmacist on duty whose name I do not recall. He came back with the assertion that this transfer had to be initiated by BCBS and not by Walgreens. And said that there were many numbers on the back of the card, etc., and had we called the right number. We explained that we had called the appropriate number on the back of the card and that BCBS had specifically advised that the transfer has to be initiated from Walgreens. Next came the pharmacist, and we went through the same rigmarole again. At that point we got upset. We asked to speak to her supervisor. She said that I am the supervisor. I said, there must be someone that she reports to and that we wanted his/her contact information. They refused to give us this information. That got us more upset, and they threatened to call the police. At that point we left. In all this what is most important is that not one of them listened to what we had already done, and had tried to carefully explain, and kept asking the same robotic questions over and over again.
I went in with my dad and wanted to look around since I'm on vacation from Germany. I went to the register to get a few things and some cigs. The cashier wasn't on the register with the tobacco wall, so I asked if she would be so kind to get me pack of cigs. She then went on to tell me to get them myself. I didn't feel comfortable because I know no costumers are allowed to stand behind the registers. I told her I wasn't very comfortable going behind that register and she dismissed it and said "I'm watching you, it's okay". She got annoyed from me not being comfortable with it. As I walked over to get a pack of cigs, she lets out some comment about it not knowing the person that came after me was my dad (he wasn't very pleased). When I was about to pay for my stuff, I tried getting my change and I wasn't quite sure (euro is way different than the USD). She then proceeds to make fun of me saying I need to go home and learn my change, even though we had told her a couple seconds bevor that I literally just came from Germany. I don't have a problem with people being judgmental as long as they keep quiet about it and/or don't bother other people. But here is the thing bevor you tell a foren person to "go home and learn the change" maybe you should learn how to do your job correctly and respectfully. I hope one day she will be treated with the same disrespect and ignorance that she had towards me Other than that, they have a good variety of stuff.
I used to shop here all the time and fill my prescriptions here too in 2017-2020. The cashiers up front are wonderful, at least until they started hiring a million new people who don’t know what they’re doing, but most I’ve met are very helpful. The current assistant manager, Sarah, is also sweet and kind. But that’s about it. The Pharmacy staff couldn’t possibly be meaner. I’ve been denied post-op medication that I needed urgently simply because some pharmacy manager believes she has more authority than an MD despite not knowing my diagnosis. At this Walgreens they believe that they have the right to withhold your medication if they decide you don’t need it. I had my neck split open, 9 vertebra removed, and then my spinal cord cut open to remove a tumor. This was an excruciatingly painful surgery. I did not know this much pain existed in the world. That’s the best I can describe it. Now imagine the worst pain you’ve EVER FELT and EVER KNOWN POSSIBLE and imagine waiting inside those uncomfortable little Blue chairs at Walgreens for 3+ hours while the manager – not the pharmacist – tries to get ahold of the on-call doctor from my clinic to verify my prescription. This happened to me 3 times. Stay far far away from filling your prescriptions here. This Walgreens does not treat its customers like human beings.
Walgreens customer service is forever going between good and terrible depending on what time of day it is and who is working. The pharmacy is constantly struggling to keep medications in stock to the point of me having to transfer my prescription to another pharmacy usually one of their competitors in order to get my prescription filled in a timely fashion. The pharmacy staff is never friendly or willing to go above and beyond the call of duty for any customers. Moreover, the pharmacy policies seem to change based on which pharmacist is working and which pharmacy techs are working or what store manager is working dictating if I can or cannot get prescriptions on said date. I don't know if the policies really are changing or if they're just making them up as they go along. Finally, their automated refill system is something to be desired as I always have to call and talk to a human being in order to ensure the automated system got my order correct and 9 out of 10 times it does not get it correct and I ultimately have to speak to a human being in order to ensure the accuracy of my prescription order. Walgreens at 2650 Hennepin needs to step up their game in the worst way. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that their coupons and rewards money program have saved me a lot of money.
Came here to get the booster for COVID-19, explained to the pharmacist while handing in my info that I get woozy and usually pass out from needle injections, wait about half an hour to be told that if I pass out they’re calling an ambulance, and that I should go to a clinic. When I’m headed out the door I notice that said pharmacist marked that I received the booster on my vaccination card. I go back to ask for an explanation of some sort, another pharmacist helps me, so I don’t get turned away at a clinic when I go to actually get the booster. The other pharmacist explains the situation to the original pharmacist who told me to go to a clinic after I’ve essentially already spent longer than an hour in Walgreens. The original pharmacist roles their eyes and shakes their head, acting like the weight of the world is on their shoulders. I just don’t know why he couldn’t have told me he wasn’t comfortable giving me the vaccine before he made me wait half an hour. It was so clear that they didn’t actually care about supporting the vaccine effort. Never going to this Walgreens or any Walgreens again after this experience wasting so much time and being made to feel like a burden, because of their lack of communication and organization.
I purchased a Walgreens over the counter medication that's to be taken at night. I'm getting ready for bed, open the box, and the most important component isn't in the box! Irate, I return to the store at 1am. The manager on 1/26/2020 was helpful, understanding and flexible. They helped to apply the same discount from 1/25/2020 (that expired at midnight) on a replacement, and offered another discount for my trouble having to come back so late. They recommended opening the replacement box before I left to confirm I had all the components, a very smart recommendation. I've also had very helpful experiences from the pharmacy staff both in the store and through the drive through. Prescriptions are usually filled faster than promised. My only concern about this store is that the layout isn't logical or intuitive. All of the sexual health and feminine hygiene products are aisles away from the medications and pharmacy, which is unlike other Walgreens stores. The signage is low in the aisles, so I spend more time than I'd prefer searching for products. Overall, helpful experiences in a bright and clean store. The parking lot is often at capacity in evenings, it might be easier to just park on the street when possible.
I recently had to switch to this pharmacy due to my insurance and have had nothing but problems the last few months. I never write reviews but I believe the terrible experience warrants one. Almost every single person I’ve interacted with at this pharmacy is extremely rude and unhelpful. First off they are almost always out of the medication I need and when I asked if this was a common theme they basically had no answer. The second problem is the fact that they have incorrectly run my prescription through my insurance not once but TWICE. each time I simply question why my copay changed or is more expensive they say “call your insurance”. Not even bothering to look and see if it is something on their end. So I go through the process of calling my insurance which we all know is a mess in itself and they tell me that the pharmacy incorrectly ran it and simply need to run it under a different code. Which they should know. It is their job and they are not doing it. Bottom line, almost everyone here treats you like you’re an idiot and extremely disrespectfully. I hope the store starts taking these reviews seriously and changes something because I’ve never had such a disappointing experience with a pharmacy.
My prescription was sent here by mistake so I called this pharmacy twice and spoke to two different women who told me that Walgreens doesn’t transfer prescriptions between stores. I know I’ve done this before several times - I’ve been using Walgreens for 10 years. The first woman I spoke to asked me if it was a controlled substance and I said no. Then she said Walgreens doesn’t do transfers. The second woman told me that you can only request different locations to pull a prescription and that she’s worked for Walgreens for 15 years. So I thought for a minute that maybe they were right. But I’ve done this several times as I’ve been a customer for about 15 years so I looked it up and it turns out you can transfer prescriptions and you can do so several times. I then called another location who told me the same thing. You can even transfer prescriptions using the app. I don’t know who this location is hiring if someone who has been there for so long doesn’t know this. Apparently they lie about their hours as well ?? I decided to leave a review because I really don’t understand what the point of this was. But anyway, go to the location at 50th and France instead. They’re consistently good service wise.
WOW are they understaffed. Pharmacy lines are always around the corner, medications take FOREVER to get filled, and if you try to call you’ll be on hold for hours, too. It’s ABSURD. Not sure whether it’s mismanagement or just a sign of the times. The staff members I’ve spoken to are mostly lovely and capable… it seems they just need MORE staff. Avoid this place for prescriptions if you can. Hours of my life wasted in line and on hold. UPDATE 2/11/22 OMG the most OUTRAGEOUSLY NEGLIGENT pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. Hours on hold over the past week trying to sort out a missing script and I was just hung up on… for asking more than one question calmly and politely. My doctor sent in an electronic script and they won’t even try to look for it. They say MD needs to call back and wait on hold to tell them verbally. Why accept electronic submissions if you plan to disregard them completely? I’ve been waiting 2 weeks for these injections! If these guys cared about their patients they’d hired more workers to actually meet BASIC patient needs. Medication is life and death. I’m so done with you, Walgreens, and I hope you get creamed with lawsuits. Disgusting.
I do not recommend getting your pharmacy services here. Every month there is a new and unique hurdle to refilling my scripts. The staff are stretched very thin and seem to not have enough training to use the computer systems. I was told they had no order when the walgreens pharmacy app said I did. Lines are usually 5-7 people long with only one tech working the front. God forbid you have to call this place because you will be on hold for hours. That is not an exaggeration. Find something you can do while you wait on the phone and make sure you have enough battery. If you can go in person and wait in the long line, you will be helped faster than if you call, unless maybe if you have a 60 minute commute. Maybe. When you do get in contact with someone they are not always willing to help you. I think they are so worn down by their environment they assume you are going to be upset and are automatically on defense when all you are trying to do is get your medication. Also, not a 24 hour pharmacy. Sometimes the drive through is open, but they will not serve you if you are not on wheels. I was told a bicycle counts.
I was doing an Instacart order for a customer. The customer asked for one item and I hadn’t seen it on the shelf so I approached a female employee in the store and kindly said “hey! I have a question. The customer said this item was in stock online and I’m wondering if y’all have it.” She immediately responded so rudely with “Okay, well the customer saying she saw it was in stock doesn’t mean anything” and reluctantly walked me back to the shelves I’d already looked at for 10 mins to “prove”to me it wasn’t there. As a professional whose worked in customer service and was literally just doing MY job and asking for bare minimum assistance from this employee, I’m appalled by this service. This is who this business is hiring? What’s worse is she may have even been the manager of the store. All this to say- take your business elsewhere. The customer service is atrocious here and they’re out of a lot. If you do have to come here, steer clear from the more heavy-set woman with grey/blonde/yellow(?) dyed hair and tattered split ends. She’s awful and has no intention of helping you- even in the tiniest of situations.
“We’re sorry to keep you waiting, but all of our staff are assisting other customers. We will be with you shortly. There are more than 3 callers ahead of you.” You’ll hear the above paragraph so many times it honestly becomes a cruel form of torture. Make sure your phone is plugged in if you expect to actually make it to speaking with the pharmacy. Expect to wait 50+ minutes before talking to a real human being, even near midnight. Like, put in a good movie or Pink Floyd album while you wait. I understand that Walgreens is super busy & has a handy app, etc. but sometimes medication-related questions really require a person reachable in a reasonable amount of time. There’s no way in heck their phone lines are this slammed 24/7/365. This place is on turtle time & it’s like they could care less about it. It’s been this way for the entire time I’ve used this Walgreens. Beyond inconvenient to have to spend a portion of your day like this. It seems pointless for Walgreens to have locations everywhere to be “convenient” when their pharmacy is anything but. Will be switching ASAP.
Worst pharmacy in all of Minneapolis. I’ll add some context. They have set hours but due to staffing issues they are not ever open when they say they are. The pharmacy is specifically a nightmare. If you have any medications you can’t fill on the app due to the schedule of drug, you can expect to wait on hold for an hour AT LEAST. They don’t pick up the phone ever. Additionally, I have been trying to fill one of my prescriptions there for over a year and they continue to be out of stock. If they can’t get the medication the least they can do is call to let me know so I can have my doctor transfer elsewhere. They say it’s a med shortage but cub RX never seems to have issues filling this same prescription. If I fill there often they should be able to have a handle on what inventory of meds needed to fulfill their regular customer RX orders. IM NOW 3 days without my seizure meds. Thanks a lot for nothing Walgreens Minnesota.
Avoid this place at all costs! Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced anywhere in my life time. And the most racist place I've ever been....I've been to many Walgreens and most are just fine. But this place? No way ......The store is convenient with a wide selection, but the customer service is really BAD Superviser/ Mangers name 1:Sarah....2: Maraio......3:Jason ...4:Adem.... another one which I forgot his name ..Not even one of them want to correct the mistake they made but supported each other to cover up their mistakes. To make a long story short, I had unprofessional treatment at this place. They treated me like a CRIMINAL/ THIEVES for NO reason not once but twice What a SHAME and Embarrassment for the Walgreens franchise . DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE THEY ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO MINNEAPOLIS. The other Yelp review about lack of professionalism & Racism is pretty spot on. BTW I'm a Black female.
The associates here doesn’t understand the difference between pharmacy insurance and medical insurance, they need to be trained. Came here to get flu shot and associate kept saying my insurance doesnt cover flushot. Have to call my insurance to confirm again and went back to pharmacy to let them know that its medical insurance they have to take in for flushot. Associate didnt seem to understand and asked me if i had different card for medical insurance, I said its the same one insurance card. Ultimately associate spoke to pharmacist and I saw pharmacist explaining it to her on computer and she came back to me and said its covered and apologized for confusion. Please train your associates to verify and provide accurate info to customers so that they don’t need to come back multiple times. Overall they spoke well and service was good.
This is a good store with a very slow pharmacy. Most annoying is that I can use the computer or cell phone ahead of time to refill my Rx, WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO SPEED THINGS UP, but then I show up and they tell me they will fill it after I've already waited 20 minutes in the line so I am supposed to wait again. It's extremely frustrating and I may well switch to the new option to mail it to me. Another thing they do is right after I go there the walgreens computer calls me and tells me I have another Rx due. When my doctor made the prescriptions they all came to them at once. Why can't I get all my prescriptions in ONE STOP? And I have a feeling their mail service will do the same. Usually its free for one shipment but costs once it needs to happen again. Will it ever become a win-win situation? I don't think so.
I have been consistently on prescription meds for over 25 years and lived in 10 different cities, because of this I have been to a million different pharmacies in my life. I have never seen a pharmacy as incompetent as this one, I've seen them take OVER 24 HOURS to fill a simple prescription, if you ever ask for a time estimate it consistently takes about three times as long as the maximum that they quote you. I understand that when a pharmacy is busy it can take a while to fill a prescription, but don't say it will be ready within an hour when you know it's going to take 3! The pharmacy team also lacks basic knowledge about the medications that they are dispensing and refuse to give people their medications based on a misunderstanding of the interactions between medications.
I've had numerous small problems with this pharmacy over the years I've used them, but nothing that couldn't be written off to human or computer error and forgiven. This one can't. My last medication was filled one capsule short - but again, human error does happen. However, I went to pick up my refills at 6 PM on a Saturday and was met with closed shutters at the pharmacy and a paper stating that their hours have changed on weekends due to "the pharmacist shortage". Nothing in the e-mail correspondences, voicemail messages, or text messages I've received about my refills informed me of this. Now I'm operating on a half-dose of a drug I get very sick without. This site cannot be trusted with the medications people rely on. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
I’m diabetic, and needed insulin syringes, so I went to the pharmacy to purchase them. The cashier went to get them, and on the way back to the counter, what seemed to be a former employee was standing at the counter. I had already waited 5-10 minutes, but the cashier literally just stopped helping me to talk to this former employee. The former employee saw the syringe pack in her hand and rolled his eyes & said “Ugh, you’re selling THOSE?” And the cashier said “Unfortunately.” RIGHT in front of me. I don’t enjoy being treated like some junkie when I’m buying syringes for a LEGITIMATE medical purpose. Not to mention making me wait longer than I already had waited, just to insult me. I will NOT be coming back to this Walgreens.
The pharmacy staff is absolutely useless and incompetent. When u call u should plan on sitting on the phone for at least 30 mins. Then don’t expect them to even HAVE your prescription for god knows how long. And then when they actually GET your prescription in, they won’t even call u to let u know for literal WEEKS, u have to sit on hold and call 2 days in a row to try and find out yrself. Literally the most useless and incompetent place ever. And when I said so ppl are going without care bc u guys aren’t alerting them abt their medications being ready ? And he said “well yah” as if that’s acceptable or ok. If u can go to a different pharmacy and take ur money to somewhere else DO IT
The people that work in the pharmacy seem like they'd rather eat poison than help you. "Micah" was not at all friendly over the phone when I called to ask if my Rx was ready. Then when I got there a girl with red curls (no name tag) told me it would be another 20 minutes on top of the 20 I was quoted initially and said I should come back later. Then I got a text after I had been driving for 5 minutes telling me it was ready. None of the staff seem to care at all about customer satisfaction and treat you like an inconvenience. I've noticed no name tag girls bad attitude on other visits, but this one was especially bad. I'm going to find a new pharmacy and I'd suggest you do the same.
I'm giving this Walgreens 4 stars for one reason, their pharmacist Sidney. Usually my dislike for all Walgreens pharmacies, and this one included, is the culture of profit over customer service. They're woefully understaffed, which makes for grumpy, apathetic and stressed pharmacists. However, one stands out. I believe her name is Sidney. She (Sidney) has helped me before and she's efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. And she's fast. I've also noticed thst when customers have insurance issues (which is Always) that she pretty understanding and attempts to help. I still wish I could go back to my CVS, but I appreciate her presence when I am there. More like her, please.
This place is an absolute nightmare. They never have my prescription in stock and they refuse to help when I ask them to identify a different Walgreens that has it. I'm convinced the people working here don't know how to run their computer system. They tell me there are problems with my insurance and I have to explain to them every single time that I need a name-brand instead of generic, etc. They never answer the phone, their shelves are always empty, they don't have shopping carts or baskets. They have long lines of customers waiting to check out and only one cashier, while there are multiple people behind the counter working on other things. This place is a joke.
Continuously unimpressed by this store. Got a RAPID test (was supposed to be less than 2 hours for results emailed) and waited over 5 with no response. Called the location and was waiting 45 minutes to talk to someone. Was told (finally) that I could pick up a printed copy of my results at the window. Got there and was told by the very rude pharmacist that “we don’t print results for people, you need to wait for an email” Thank God for the nice (assistant?) that actually just gave me what I wanted This location always has a wait, chronically understaffed and the staff that are there obviously don’t care about their customers. Highly don’t recommend
This store is a joke. AMANDA is the “pharmacy operations manager” but yet she doesn’t know HIPAA? She will announce your medication so everyone in line knows what you’re picking up. You wait on hold when you call the store for more than an hour but if show up while you’re still on hold there’s literally no one in the drive thru or in line in the store. Or if there are people in line, good luck, you’ll be waiting at least an hour even if they know you’ve been waiting for script for three days and the doctor calls telling them to fill it. Perhaps get a manager that doesn’t violate your rights for starters. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO GET YOUR SCRIPT!
I love this location now that it's back to being open 24hrs, and the pharmacy is back to being open 24hrs! It really kind of sucked in a big teeth kinda way when the pharmacy was closing early and the store would then shutdown at like 11pm, it was a nightmare everytime I had to go there because I almost NEVER make it there during average business hours. That's exactly why I've gotta give this place an above average amount of stars! You can't see the extra one but I actually gave it 6 STARS, yep that's right, because they are that awesome! So give me a thumbs up and like this review if you do, and go check them out for your self!
There is a female Asia work up there she’s been very racist to me I don’t know her this lady give me attitude for no reason I ask her do I remind you ex boyfriend or someone else did something to you the way she talk very dirty no respect very angry I told the Manager big guy with a long beard I ask her again this is her respond Muslim in this country cause some damage she treats me like that because I am a Muslim i fear in my life I threw all my medication in the trash cause I cannot trust no more nobody take an action I have to do it on my way to court What about if I was blind and I cannot see what else they are capable
I recently spent a good chunk of time here working on photo boards for, unfortunately, a couple of funerals in the last month. I did have a couple of minor negative interactions with employees, but overall had a very positive experience here. Most of the employees I encountered were very helpful and nice. I felt like they genuinely cared and wanted to help. And in the amount of time I spent here, I noticed that it must be rather difficult to work an overnight shift there in uptown at times, so I had a little more understanding of why I may have had negative interactions with staff here. Overall, I had a great experience.
This is a very poorly managed store. Both their phone line and website, as well as this Google Maps entry, list incorrect store and pharmacy times. I’ve visited within these hours only to find the store and/or pharmacy closed unexpectedly. The store and pharmacy are always incredibly under staffed. I have been to this location multiple times trying to pick up the same prescription without success. Both the in-store and drive-up pharmacy lines are so long that I have waited over an hour and had to leave without my prescription! It’s absolutely awful. As a customer, I believe strongly that we deserve a better experience.
Got here at 10:50pm- but online it says they close at 11pm.... Lady working said they're closing early because she leaves at 11pm and then gave us the finger and walked away as they were closing their doors. So they're closing 10min early so they could leave early? We needed something very important and were just so hurt and put off by this lady closing early so she could be out the door by 11. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional to give us the finger as she ran to the door and locked it. I will be contacting corporate about this- just shocked and have never experienced anything like this.
If you are going to advertise your store as having a 24/7 pharmacy, you NEED, to ensure that pharmacy has staffing for 24/7--no matter the cost. We drove across town at 11:30PM (with my spouse having been discharged from the hospital for an unplanned appendix removal--with the instructions from the hospital that her pain meds would wear off before the next day) only to find that this location didn't have an after hours pharmacist. People who are going to a 24/7 pharmacy aren't out there for the fun of it; they need and depend on those facilities to be truthful in their advertising.
Make sure you have time to wait and wait and wait - on the phone and in line. Also, you will have to follow up on anything that's pending, out of stock or needs to be ordered - they say they will let you know but it won't happen. After waiting 3 weeks, I contacted my insurance company who said the medication had been approved. Followed up with them and they didn't realize it had been ran under the wrong name and then still took me speaking to someone on the phone and two people in person to get it filled. If it wasn't so convenient to where I live & the hours I wouldn't go here.
Waited half an hour in the pharmacy drive thru line for them to tell me that my prescription was out of stock. They then told me I could get it refilled with the generic brand and that I could come back thru the line so they could fill it. I then asked if I could just come inside because the line for the drive thru was long. They said yes, I could just come up to the counter in 10 min and it would be ready, it was not. I spent an entire hour just trying to get a refill on my birth control. Very slow service, go somewhere else if you don’t want to wait an hour.
The week end staff is rude bordering on hostile. I ask about help for an item I have purchased for years and don't find it where it usually is. The response is a shrug and if it isn't there we don't have it. I ask another staff person. Again a shrug,I never heard of it. I ask for a second pair of eyes to see if I overlooked it. The response is,just go look again. All of the people I asked for help refused to go help me look. They were sullen, impatient. I am sorry they have to work for a living but most of us do. I will no longer shop there after decades.
The entire world is short staffed right now, y’all. These overworked and overtasked employees are trying with the limited staffing they have… But Walgreens corporate (I KNOW you read these) please for the love of GOD work on filling more positions at this branch. It appears that only two or so employees are often supposed to work the registers, answer phone calls, manage prescriptions, fill orders, service the drive thru, manage customer relations, AND do any behind the scenes work all at the same time?? Please remedy this.
I have no idea why anyone would rate the pharmacy service poorly. The staff is patient, kind, and as efficient as possible, depending on the problem presented. I'm grateful for their hard work and dedication. The only issue with this location is the high likelihood of encountering unusual clientele. I've seen a fight, a person who attempted to enter while naked from the waist down, and another one who threw random store items at folks in line. If it weren't for them, I'd rate this store higher. It's well stocked and clean.
This pharmacy makes filling my medications so easy, I could cry happy tears. That sounds dramatic, but I have had trouble filling medications that my insurance doesn't cover at other pharmacies, to the point where it looked like I wasn't going to be able to get the medication in time for when I needed it. This pharmacy filled my prescription off the doctor's order, without getting stopped up because insurance wouldn't pay for it. I was able to self pay, and get what I needed quickly, with dignity.
Rating one because there are a few decent people on staff there. But for the most part it has been a struggle to even be treated like a human being when working with this pharmacy. They presume that a person taking medication is able to go without it for days on end. They don’t properly stock medications they know are recurring prescriptions. Hold times are always upwards of 30 minutes and never end in anything but them referring your to call your doctor then call back, over and over and over
Walgreens has always been a terrible at best pharmacy but this location takes the cake. Y’all should definitely come here if you want your meds you’ve been prescribed for a literal decade be changed and NO courtesy to inform the patient of the change in generic. I would give this location zero stars if I could, they only got one because I had to put one in order to post a review. Would rather get my medication from one of the fools in the alleys off Hennepin before I ever come here again.
Online hours say 11:00, door hours say 10:00. They closed the store shutters at 10:20 in our faces. What if somebody needed first aid supplies, let alone a life saving shot? Update your online hours, or door hours. I drove 20 minutes out of my way for a store that closed the shutters in my face. Granted, I was just here to use the ATM. Regardless though, my questions still stand valid for the non-English people that were here trying to deal with the scenario I described above.
Tried to refill my med on the website - wouldn't get filled. Had to call multiple times in a day to get someone to actually answer the phone. Pharmacist told me he would fill it on the 1st - as of today it's still not filled. Been calling for 3 days straight waiting on hold for 20+ minutes multiple times a day and Walgreens refuses to answer the phone and now they are withholding my psych meds for 4 days which is surely unethical and possible illegal.
The time is 11:04pm on a Saturday. Google and other sites say it is open 24hrs. There is an older lady with blonde ponytail and blue sweater and another with brown hair. The one with blonde hair She was extremely rude to me and another customer. She locked the doors and refused many customers away claiming they close at 10p.. when asked her name she rolled her eyes and walked away. Hours need to be updated and store employees need proper training.
Don't go here for prescriptions. This pharmacy is so understaffed that it barely functions. It will take days, even if you call in to refill it a day ahead of time. They won't work on your rx until you physically come in, and then you have to wait for them to get it ready. Also their hours change drastically with no notice. You just find a sign at the door saying their hours are some other schedule than what is listed online. The worst.
This review is only for the pharmacy portion. The customer service with the pharmacy techs really needs to improve. The only nice person is the male pharmacist. The other techs make you feel like a huge inconvenience. The store is very nice considering the area but the wait at the pharmacy takes forever. I understand that people are short staffed but the techs do not even acknowledge you until you go get someone to help you.
Slowest pharmacy and this location is not 24 hours anymore because they don't want to hire security or additional staff. Also if you have a disability and are unable to exit your vehicle for whatever reason and you drive through the pick up window during vaccine hours. Kendra will deny you your medication and tell you to come inside even though you are unable to at the moment. *and this is the moment is I changed pharmacies.
I been a Walgreens customer for over 13 years. First time getting prescription at this location and the service is terrible. The pharmacy technicians are hostile on the phone even hang-up the calls. Called to speak with pharmacy supervisor to complain and she was unprofessional , hostile don't care about customers. How people like this get supervisor position thats insane. Avoid this Walgreens many other to choose from.
This store is severely understaffed. I know it’s no fault of the employees, but I’ve been waiting on a prescription for just about a week. I called today after going in last week, was put on hold for over 20 minutes, and then was hung up on after a brief and brash phone call in which the tech interrupted me several times and was super unhelpful. I’m going to look into transferring pharmacies because this is just not it.
Man, this place sucks. I'm glad to have a local pharmacy, but I highly recommend going to the Walgreen's Community Pharmacy up on Lyndale instead if you want any semblance of feeling like a valued customer. The pharmacy strung me along for 8 hours, and I went back multiple times for them to tell me "come back in two hours we will have it filled then". Additionally, the hours are wrong!! This is NOT a 24 hour Walgreens.
If you have an possibly if going to a different pharmacy, do. I have consistently over months had the worst time picking up prescriptions. Something different every time. They say they are understaffed but right now on a Saturday morning no customers are here except me. Lots of staff behind the counter talking to each other. And still I have to wait because of some problem printing a label?
I never post negative reviews but I have had to wait in the line at the drive through for over 20 min twice now. I also have had to give up on reaching someone over the phone, numerous times as the wait time to speak to a pharmacist is often 20-30 min. I'm sure you are understaffed but please know that your customers are going to go elsewhere if you don't make changes! Thanks for listening.
This location is not open 24 hours. Do you realize a bunch of people are having to drive to the location just to find out the store is closed? I even called first just to make sure and the IVR said it was open 24 hours too. Update your store hours. Jeez. Also why do people have to make the trip there just to find out you don't have the COVID tests. You guys waste so much of peoples time.
Fill your prescription anywhere but here. I've never had less than 20 mins hold time when I've had to call. This week, I've spent 48 + 25 mins on hold, waiting to talk to the pharmacy. They are not open 24hrs, it's 8am-10pm. Pharmacists are helpful when they can be. Extremely understaffed--this morning the pharmacy is randomly not open as of 10:30, and I can't be bothered to call. Ugh.
Current wait time for medication refills is 2 days. They reduced hours and staff without informing their customers and now hold your prescription hostage while nobody fills it, which you only find out after 30 minutes of being on hold. Walgreens corporate better start paying their employees because currently their pharmacy doesn't function and I am forced to take my business elsewhere.
Going through Infertility can be very stressful on a family. I'm so greatful for the Pharmacy staff at this walgreens location, Most expecially Elana R the Fertility Pharmacist. She is very knowledgeable and helpful! A kind and compassionate soul. She worked with our insurance to get me the best rate. She kept me inform through out the whole process. Thanks Elana - you are AWESOME!!!!
This Walgreens has no shopping carts or baskets. Why would you make paying customers walk around with an armful of items? Not going to keep going back and forth from the aisles to the counter with my items. They need to get those carts with the tall pole attached like they have at Ross, to prevent people from pushing the cart through the exit. I won’t come here any more.
Absolutely terrible pharmacy. Kept telling me a script was delayed because of stock issues. Fine. Came back later and they said "not yet. Check thursday." Fine. A month later they are saying they never received my script. I called and the woman on the phone was short and rude. "I need a script to fill your perscription." Ok i get that, but what happened to the old one?
Worst Walgreens I've ever been in. The staff (it took two of them to work in tandem to ring up my 5 items) are either stoned or have serious sleep deprivation as they can barely put two words together and move at the pace of a sloth. If you have an hour to spare while they make change (as cash seems to confuse them), they this is the place for you!
Called today looking for a pain medication for my dog who is terminally ill with cancer. Women on the phone was very rude immediately told me they don't have it and when I tried to ask her to look for another location she purposefully hung up on me. completely unprofessional I will never fill my meds here again. if I could give 0 stars I would.
You'll see many reviews I agree with: pharmacy lines are consistently very long waits. Don't bother calling with hold times of 20 minutes. Twice I called, the first time it was faster to walk to the store. Second time when I finally got through, they said they were too short staffed to fill any prescriptions until the next day!!!!
Worst Walgreens pharmacy in the nation hands down. Will take a week to fill a prescription, and when you show up they will tell you to come back in 30 minutes. Used to be decent but everyone with more than 2 braincells to put together left, now run by socially inept 20 year olds. Do yourself a favor and go to ANY other pharmacy.
Walgreens used to be awesome now they are terrible! They have had my prescription for 4 hours for an antibiotic. It's still not ready. I can't get anybody on the phone. You go there to pick up a prescription and you have to wait a long time in the drive up or inside. They never have anything in stock prescription wise.
This store is horrible, everything is locked up and you must ask for assistance. Take your money elsewhere if you want hassle free shopping. Walgreens - Look at the reviews, please fix this store or close it so that we can get a retailer into the community that actually provides a quality product and service.
Human beings work here and deserve to be treated with respect and decency. I'm just happy I get the privilege of having a Walgreens in the middle of Uptown Minneapolis. Yeah they could use more employees, but that could be said about everywhere. They're doing the best the can and I appreciate them for it.
As others have said, they literally do NOT answer the phone and I’m always having some sort of new issue preventing me from refilling my meds, which I’ve never experienced at other locations. As I write this, I have been on hold for 60 minutes and God knows how much longer it’ll be before they answer.
Getting prescriptions here is a nightmare. The clinic I’ve used for years has done refills the exact same way for the entire time - isn’t allowed according to the pharmacists here. I’m stuck in medical limbo because the redhead pharmacist is either lazy or doesn’t know what she’s doing.
I appreciate a Walgreens that Is open 24hrs and the Employees working for our emergency needs since everything is closing early. If you need to buy something from them in-store, they have lots of choices. I can't comment on anything else nor can't complaint about anything else.
Where to even start. I would recommend getting your prescriptions somewhere else. It takes forever to get through to the pharmacy if you need something. It also takes forever to get through the line to pick up your prescriptions. Seems understaffed and/or poorly managed.
I was stupid to think this Walgreens would be ANY better than the other one.. now it’s a toss up for which one is worse.. miserable people behind the counter just bark at you.. Under staffed, and could care less.. make sure your schedule is clear when you get here..
This pharmacy is so understaffed it’s crazy. Two employees in the entire store on a Saturday and more than a dozen irritated people standing in line. Transferring my prescriptions to Cub pharmacy from now on cause dealing with this Walgreens location is such a pain
By far the worst experience I've ever had over the phone. Was put on hold for over 2 hours to get a prescription refill. This is a constant problem that occurs. If you plan to call in for any reason beware it will take over an hour minimum to get a hold of someone
Employee did not have time for my call. Was placed on hold because I had difficulty remembering the name of medication . Called back, was placed on hold again, asked to speak with a manager, and was hung up on. Im sure there are better pharmacies than walgreens
In fact, it is one of the worst Walgreens dealerships. Here, to get your prescription, they say it will be ready in an hour, an hour later they say come tomorrow, and when you go to get your medicine tomorrow, they say it will be ready an hour later!
Couldn't refill my prescription because they couldn't read their own hand-writing on the prescription. The prescription was submitted digitally with digital records easily and readily accessible to them, also only prescription I had with them . . .
This walgreens has reopened, went in on Jan 28th 2021 and they say they are open 24 hours. Glad to have em open for a late night snack My one nitpick: they sell out of jack's frozen pizza often and it can take a couple days for them to restock
Whenever I have a bad day i shop at Walgreens. You know why? The customer service is so kind and friendly. The way they talk to you at the checkout will have you questioning your entire life. It's nice to have people talk to you so gently.
Horrible service, needed to come 3 times to pick up medications, every time they said it’s going to be ordered and never did. I decided to send it somewhere else and I recommend for you to do the same. Oh and they are unreachable by phone.
Yeah this place sucks. I can’t remember the last time I went to pick up my medication and there wasn’t any complications. I’ve never experienced this at another pharmacy. They don’t care whatsoever if they have created any issue for you.
Very rude employees that need lessons on customer service. I'd have to write a novel to cover all the problems with the pharmacy. Zero problems at old location. Laundry list of issues at the new location. Literally dread going there.
I left Walgreens years ago because the pharmacy service wasn't together. I picked up prep solutions for my colonoscopy. Had my test . Two weeks later they sent me email to come and get the solution again. That was it. I left
Called to speak to pharmacist, but phone system wouldn’t recognize voice commands or numbers dialed. Unable to reach anyone to help. I could drive to the store, but at this point I'll try a different pharmacy chain.
A bit of a tale of woes when a Walgreens is described as a "24 hour pharmacy" yet in all actuality and in fact in reality is NOT a "24 hour pharmacy" it was closed at 12am and not to open again until 6am.
The pharmacy staff was extremely nice, and worked efficiently while there was a line of people waiting to get their vaccine. I really appreciated the short wait, information and friendliness. Thank you!
Pharmacy: Didn't notify me a medication needed to be refrigerated. While I waited for my medications to be filled, I noticed staff were impatient and rude to elderly customer who was hard of hearing.
Late night pharmacy is terrible at answering the phone. On hold 20 minutes. Then they asked me to call back in the daytime with my question. I was just checking to see if they had a vaccine in stock.
There are no shopping baskets or carts. According to an employee they were all stolen and the company refuses to replace them. So, if you want to buy more than 2 items, you should go to Target.
Saved me today! Went above and beyond to help me get a time sensitive medication when my mail order pharmacy dropped the ball big time. Thank you! The staff the kind, patient, and FAST.
NOT OPEN 24 HRS!!! NEED STUFF FOR MY CHILD AND STORE IS CLOSED AT 10PM. WALGREENS, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND AT LEAST HAVE THE COURTESY TO CHANGE YOUR ONLINE LISTING FOR THIS SITE!!!!!
It's nice that it's open 24 hours, but it's a very busy location which leads to long wait times at the pharmacy. Also, the pharmacy drive-thru line can be excruciatingly slow at times.
An employee here cheerfully carried two heavy boxes for two blocks to my car since they were too big for the drive through window. I’ve never had customer service like that anywhere.
My fiance and I usually go there 4 the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is generally nice not always that friendly though. It is nice however but it is a 24-hour store and pharmacy.
17 minute drive to this “24 Hour” location to pick up a photo order. Closed at 10:19p.m. I can’t believe a location less than two years old can be run and managed so poorly.
After an hour and a half on hold with "one caller ahead of me" I finally had to give up. This place should be closed down. It would be an improvement in customer service.
Disgusting store, Rude employees and incompetent/Negligent Pharmacy staff! They are rude ,hand out wrong medications and take hours to fill medications. DO NOT COME HERE
I hate that this is my neighborhood store . They’re literally no help when your searching for something . It seems as if they hire ppl with Little to No store knowledge
Is there even a manager here anymore?? This store just keeps getting worse, especially the pharmacy. At least 2 days to fill a prescription now, though often longer.
If you have a prescription, send it to the CVS on Lake instead. I've never had a problem with the employees here ringing me up, but the pharmacy wait is crazy long.
Google says it's open until 11pm - got there at 9:50pm and they were locking people out. Only place open when I need an inhaler!!! Not surprised unfortunately.
I never had any issues picking up my RX and I use the app system to have them ready. Sometimes I have to wait to pick it up RX in line but never a major issue.
It really is amazing that no matter what time or day I go in, there is always a long line at the pharmacy. Did y'all can a competent manager or something?
