I arrived at Walgreen’s on 12/15/22 at 7:48am. I walked up to the register close to the exit and I was greeted by Mabel. I then began to express to her about the issue with the passport photo I has taken two days ago. Mabel then asked me to walk over to the photo center where she would assist me. Mabel went above and beyond for me. I went in there worried and came out satisfied with the level of service I received. Can’t forget Teresa, for some reason my e-receipt was not in email to begin the even exchange on my passport photos and Teresa basically said not to worry that she could find it with my phone number. These both ladies worked as a team to provide excellent customer service. To add to that, they were super friendly and patient. It’s not often that I come across friendly employees, especially in the morning. Walgreens show these ladies that you are proud and honored of having employees like them work for your company!
I really liked this Walgreens. They have a focus on healthy food and a variety of snacks rather than cleaning supplies, cheap kids toys, and all the other random "stuff" that fill so many other Walgreens. The store itself was clean, bright, and filled with natural light due to the big windows on two sides. It was busy while I was there, with a constant line to the check-outs. However, that line was always moving right along. They were also smart about the registers and lines. Rather than having people waiting in separate lines for each register, they had one line and just called the next person to the next open register. So I only had to wait 2-3 minutes to check out, despite the line being eight or ten deep, and the cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. Best of all, they had my favorite giant malted milk balls! I got the last bag - those things disappear fast!
Awful, awful service here. Admittedly, it’s just a shop and I expect little in the way of interaction from staff, but I don’t expect to be completely ignored by ‘Lasean’ whilst making a purchase. He was so engrossed in his discussion with a security guard throughout my transaction that there was no greeting or acknowledgement of my custom. In fact, he paused his chat only to ask “need a bag?” As a frequent visitor to the US, I don’t expect particularly high standards. Bad service is what I’ve come to expect here but Lasean gets top marks for poor service.
This is one of my favorite downtown Walgreens. The location is easy to find, just a few feet away from the Chicago Theatre on State/ Lake Street . The store has 2 floors but I usually shop on the 1st floor for healthy snacks & entrees , smoothies, sandwiches , lite grocery, photo shop and a impressive craft beer , wine and cheese selection. A well stocked & variety store for ones shopping needs. The staff is ample, friendly, helpful and efficient. The pricing is reasonable. The store has good lighting ,clean , neat with a functional layout .
The pharmacy staff and services are wonderful. But the manager who works in the evening is rude on the first floor. She left me standing in line without saying a word. I was rushing and trying to catch my train. She could have acknowledged me. I have been shopping at Walgreens since I was a child. The staff on the first floor talk and ring up customers at the same time. This is why the lines are long. Someone needs to address this behavior. We spend a lot of money at Walgreens.
Got my updated COVID-19 booster here. The line was not long and the nurse was super nice. Though news said at that time many pharmacies were undergoing issues with insurance providers because the new booster had not been entered into their system yet, at this Walgreens I did not come with trouble and got all set very quickly. A very satisfactory appointment and the location was also easy to reach!
Clinic opens at 9am. I got there 8:30 and I left 9:15am and still they not open. I was woozy so I needed a clinician. Urgent is not urgent with whoever they got running the place. I saw a guy come in around 8:44am on his bicycle and workout gear.. he went in and still didn’t open the place.
Came in and asked where are the seeds and this african lady that works there told me to hold on im doing something dont you see im paying for my stuff very rudely and proceed to yell at me and im a paying customer im never coming to this walgreens ever again...
Absolutely incredible. The staff at my hotel said "Go to Walgreens" when I asked about groceries. As a foreigner, I thought Walgreens was just a chemist, but wow was I wrong. This place has *everything* you could want - it's a gift for the clueless tourist!
Check out the line. 3 staff behind the counter but only 1 available to service customers. Love capitalism in healthcare. Not only do you pay Walgreens premium profits you are made to wait for 30 minutes to pay Walgreens their huge margin profits
Functional ONE STOP SHOP. They have everything! Booze. HIV Testing. Ramen. Freshii. Cellphones. Souvenirs. FREE COFFEE with Breakfast Purchase. Well-mannered Staff.
Great and easy experience getting vaccines for travel here! Appointment made online ahead of time, waited 5 minutes max, and all vaccines were available!
This Walgreens is amazing! I didn’t even know that it has a lot of food and Chicago’s gifts! I bought some gifts for my family, friends and for myself!
One of the largest and nicest Walgreens I've seen. Not a fan of the refrigerator doors being screens so you can't see what's in them as easily.
Explored this Walgreens while visiting Chicago. It's actually a two story store and even had some groceries downstairs. Recomended :)
The pharmacy staff here is highly incompetant they don't seem to care about the customers or do their job properly...
They always get you in and out quickly. 2 floors of stuff. It's pretty cool... nice views of downtown Chicago.
Very nice and helpful workers! I have been going there off and on for 20+ years! …
Not sure if the pharmacy staff don’t want to help, or they just don’t know what they’re doing.
