What makes this pharmacy so dismal when it comes to customer service? I have no idea, but because it is so close to my home, I have been going there since 2009. They have consistently messed up my prescriptions. When I say consistent, I mean nearly every month, no exaggeration. When they were under construction it was even worse. Finally, one day they had screwed up my prescription for the umpteenth time and I was to go out of town early the next day. I have epilepsy and can absolutely not go without meds for even a day, or I will have grand mal seizures. I broke down in the pharmacy and cried. Of course, they looked at me like I was insane. They cannot imagine the stress they cause when they consistently cannot properly carry out the most basic of tasks. Giving me the wrong meds, not having the meds ready when I’ve been texted that they are, not having the meds in the pharmacy and sending me across Chicago to get them, insisting that my insurance has declined it when it hasn’t, insisting that my doctor hasn’t refilled when they have. Today is another example: I am supposed to get a text from Walgreens when my prescription is due. There is no rhyme or reason to whether or not I will get this text. Last week, I did not get it. So I called the pharmacy to request my prescription be filled. As usual, they did not have enough and could only offer a five day supply. Ok, I’m reasonable. I can accept that even though I’ve been going there for over a decade and get the exact same thing every month, Walgreens is still not prepared for me to request my prescription. So I go and pick up my 5 day supply, but pay for the whole month, cause I don’t want to pay twice or have them be confused about how much I have paid when I go back to get the rest. When I went back tonight to get the rest of my prescription, which they promised would be ready, they told me I had already picked it all up on 05/11. I told them that is when I got the partial supply of 5 days. Apparently they did not even have this in their records. They had no idea what I was talking about, although they had taken my money. When I went back to the pharmacy a second time tonight and returned my partial bottle to them, they saw that I was correct. I had not gotten my full dosage. Even then they did not have my full supply and could only give me 3 more days. So after they order yet more of my prescription, I will go back there a 4th time this month to pick up the remaining supply. This is but one example of the poor customer service that I experience on a monthly basis at the Walgreens at Peterson and Lincoln.
It was like this, I, arrived there at 6 pm and stood in line at Photo counter & WesternUnion. There was one girl in front of me, she was also waiting for someone who would come up here, but no one came up and she left, I was still there and waiting, then this worker he Was standing at the checkout he told me to stand in line at the checkout, which doesn't make any sense because, I have not done my things, how can i pay if I didn't get my things done. I waited at the photo counter for 38 minutes no one came up to me to the photo counter. Then this worker of the middle east type at the checkout he has a beard he did the things to me he mocked me with a grin, he tried to humiliate me in front of the other people, extremely rude stuff. Then I started to record all the things what was happening there ,this worker he did HID his face and he started to move very slowly, I think he tried to make me wait !!!! My point is if there's someone has a responsible for the security service, I ask you to Take it seriously because this employee spoils your image he is very rude and always speaks in a rude tone I am a regular customer of this institution but this person is very rude he needs to be punished or fired, you can take action who's in charge. I also have a video record that I filmed from beginning to the end I think the institution"Walgreens" itself also has a video camera there everything is recorded you can check and take action about it. thank you for your time.
absolutely unacceptable, literally Play come out of my way because it's a 24 hour store I'm Peterson Avenue. Walk in there is one cart in the entire store! No patrons had carts, I had a list of stuff to buy and I left because there were no baskets no carts and they were without exaggeration at least 15 people in line one register open. And I wasn't the only one walking in the parking lot and up and down every aisle looking for a basket or a cart so I in a couple others left. Whoever the manager is here doesn't know what you're doing. Whoever the regional manager is over here, I was going to spend well over $100, multiply that by how many people tonight they probably left because he couldn't shop? Unacceptable 9 o'clock on a Thursday in Chicago. If you guys want to be out of business just close the store. How annoying is that that people drove here with an intent to shop and left because there was no baskets no carts no help. Dumbest shopping experience I've ever had in my life
The staff, management level I believe, was following my wife and I around the store narrating our activities out loud without actually speaking to us. They also called the police and Chicago's finest was following us around to. Glad I came out to grab cold medicine and tweezers because being stalked was totally worth it. The manager also looked very disgusting and disheveled. He clearly hadn't shaved in the prior two weeks and I imagine he must have smelled as bad as he looked. One of the creepiest experiences of my life and I've been out in Chicago at night for decades. Now the pharmacy won't fill prescriptions either because I had a similar prescription 5 months ago. Real eggheads working here. Protecting us from our own doctors. I'll add that when the pharmacist on duty is one I'm familiar with, not new staff, everything goes perfectly.
Worst pharmacy, I go to this pharmacy since it’s the only drive up pharmacy in my area. But this pharmacy is very unprofessional, half the technicians do not know what they are talking about. They give wrong information over the phone. The ready time on the medication is never accurate. I had my child’s doctor fax over 3 prescriptions. Only 2 were ready in the one hour 30 min window. When I went to the pharmacy they claimed they only received 2 prescriptions, when the pharmacist checked there were 3 prescriptions and I was asked to wait another 30 mins for a mistake on their end. There is honestly no one you can speak to about this unprofessionalism. I’ve been on hold for over 30 mins and have not been connected to anyone. NEVER GOING TO THIS PHARMACY EVER.
Terrible Management. Our daughter needs medication regularly and they promised to keep things in stock, and every time I find myself on the phone for days trying to get simple medications filled. The management is not helpful, the staff does not follow through... if they don't have a medicine they basically say we can order in 3 days or too bad. To make matters worse, we started noticing after a few months that they give at least 5mL less EACH time you get a prescription filled. At the end of the month, we'd run out a few days early. Every time they'd charge my insurance more until my husband and I started measuring the medication. It was AWFUL! How terrible they take advantage of people in need! We are switching pharmacies.
Came in to get 40 business cards to hand out, semi professionally at a convention, got these. Called four different roll greens to ask for same-day pick up and only this one allowed same-day pick up. After calling to confirm, they had same-day pick up and what time to pick up my cards. The staff was short and rude with me and cut me off on the phone several times while transferring me to different departments. 9/40 of my cards were decent quality at best.. It looks like they got hand cut as they’re still white borders and some of them are just straight up trapezoids. If I didn’t need these a week in advance, and I got these for my business, I would be way more upset than I am now.
Terrible pharmacy. I recently moved into the area, immediately got sick, and had to pick up an antibiotic. An Asian man working the pharmacy was incredibly rude to me and judged the fact that my listed address was in Niles(as I just moved) and asked why I would try and pick up a prescription here if I lived in Niles. He told me he had no prescriptions for me and could see all my information including my address and pharmacy location. He rolled his eyes at me when I told him I moved into the area last week and haven’t had a chance to change my address over. I had just gotten off the phone with my doctor who insured me the prescription was sent around 3pm, it was now 7pm.
The pharmacist is rude and unhelpful. After making the mistake of giving my shot to a different male customer (negligence) because he failed to check the paperwork which clearly had my (female) name on it, he had the audacity to threaten me by saying he won’t give it to me AFTER they had charged my insurance already for the shot (FRAUD). He then blames his staff for misplacing the form I just filled out, which by the way is redundant because I had filled the form out online. It took 70 minutes to get a simple flu shot despite having an appointment. This place has the least efficient system in all the Walgreens I’ve been to and it shows.
This review is SOLELY BASED ON THE PHARMACY. There has never been a single time that I've had a good experience with this pharmacy staff. They tried telling me that I didn't have insurance once, then said they couldn't find it then followed up with saying my insurance was expired, all of which were untrue. I've also had horrible experiences with all 3 of my son's prescriptions at this pharmacy. They've told me the medication would be ready or was ready when it wasn't. They've blamed the doctors for medications that weren't even refills. They literally argue with you too. I definitely recommend going ANYWHERE ELSE.
No communication with customers. Inaccurate waiting times. Waited over 1hr just to be told there was an issue with the prescription.. no communication. After situation was remedied on hospital side, was told prescription would be rushed, took the same amount of time. Prescription was sitting ready for God knows how long before I had to actually call and hear from the automated service it was ready. Very disappointing to have hours of your life wasted because they misquote the time it takes to fill a prescription. I was better off with Costco.
Not so friendly staff, maybe it was too early for him and no breakfast yet. Place is very clean and organized though with shelves being clearly labeled. Their pointing system doesn't work well with ALL products, as all the money I spend with them don't occumulate to any points at all. Be careful not to spend too much time inside if you drive there, as this parking lot has a 30 minute limit and brutes just might steal (they call it "relocate") your car. Also, pets are not allowed there, unless you're a cop. See photos for details.
Poor poor experience here. Waited in line at the pharmacy drive-through for no less than 20 minutes- behind ONE car! Pharmacy drive-through attendant was extremely slow and seemingly incompetent. Our prescription should have been ready upon arrival, and yet we waited another 10 minutes for her just to get it off the shelf. She came back with the wrong prescription and had no idea what she was doing. Train your employees! Never seen a more disorganized pharmacy.
I had a bad experience at store # 6980 on Sunday afternoon, Feb.12-2023 When I asked a cashier for a receipt after I paid for the Valentine’s chocolate by using credit card . She got an attitude then insisted to me that she did give to me a receipt but she didn’t know what happened. Now let the line move on…she said. Her name is Christina. In fact, I don’t want to use other Walgreens because this one is nearby my house and open 24 hours.
Worst pharmacy ever!! If I could give them a zero star I would. I pick up prescriptions at this location a few times a month and they NEVER have it ready and tell me to come back later. How long does it take to put a few pills in a bottle and give it to me?! 2nd time this month they gave me the wrong dose of the medication. My wife only noticed it after she took the first pill. Looking for a new pharmacy asap!
I’ve been going to this Walgreens for a couple years now. I like how clean the location is and how it’s always organized. I get my medications fill up here and never have an issue. People like to complain about the delay in prescriptions but they have to also make sure to actually request for their refills ahead of time. All employees are nice and I truly enjoy coming to this location v.s other locations.
Went there to get a vaccine shot today. Nice staff, very professional but the room was dirty. really dirty. The floor and furniture had dust, dirt and stains everywhere. It looked like it hadn't been touched for days or weeks. the chair legs had thick grime on them, The garbage reeked of rotting food from someone's lunch. The dirty table had supplies left out on it. Wouldn't go there for a shot again.
Large group of customers were not wearing masks. Employees stated they were not allowed to remove customers from the store for not wearing masks. Police were outside and stated that if walgreens did not want them out that there was nothing they could do. Very disappointed in Walgreens and will not be shopping there anymore. Would highly recommend anybody who cares about Covid not shop here either.
My husband and I stopped here to buy some stuff. We asked to use the bathroom and was told it was out of order. So I asked where do they go then to use the bathroom. The girl then said that it’s out of order due to lack is supplies. So I asked what supplies and she said toilet paper. For a Walgreens not to allow customers to use the restroom is unacceptable.
I’m speaking for the pharmacy staff. By far the biggest group of degenerates who come together like a transformer as the final boss of all idiots. Not one ounce of customer service to have the decency to pick up the line and ask someone to hold properly but instead continuously keep picking up the line and placing someone on hold without a word.
The pharmacy staff was really rude. We came here for COVID-19 test and we were told we had to be in a drive thru and when the website said show up at the pharmacy "walk ups welcome". I'm not doing my business here anymore. Shame on the pharmacy staff. If you need to be tested or for anything else dont bother coming here. Bad Customer service!
Terrible is beyond words. Pharmacist are lying on medicine status to get you off the phone! If I wouldn't call multiple times my medicine would never be ready for pick up. Awful thing to do to people. Terrible costumer service. I'm suffering from heart problems and PTSD. I really don't need that type of attitude from anybody. Shame on them.
Always good to shop here. They always have what I need from candy to household items like paper plates or cleaning aides. They also have candles, office and school supplies, vitamins, and as seen on TV products. Items for babies, adults, and seniors. The staff in every department are amazing, helpful, friendly, and professional too.
Very immature staff. The western Union service is at at least potential at this location. The lines to the drive thru are long, the lines for check out are always long, the waiting time for assistance was WAY to long. Staff don't care about providing adequate service to the customers. I think I was brushed off like 3xs.
Worst Walgreens ever. Hey FedEx, these employees don't know the difference between outbound and inbound. They will lose you some business. I recommend you NOT drop off your FedEx packages here. Incompetent humans. I had a package sit on the shelf because someone put the outbound package on the inbound shelf. Brilliant.
Please staff your pharmacy properly. 10 people in line and 1 cashier. This happens all the time at the Peterson/Lincoln store. After taking the automated machines out (which nobody was encouraged to use) it's a nightmare getting any prescriptions filled here.
Pharmacy had no idea the Covid-19 emergency was ending. They didn’t fill my Covid test order, didn’t bother to call and say they were out of Covid tests, and then offered me a $10 store credit as an apology. Seriously go anywhere else if possible.
I go here all the time for quick things! Really clean and staff is super nice. I wouldn’t know too much about the pharmacy except you should expect a wait. But otherwise really great! Super quick and easy to grab something fast.
Some good pharmacy staff except a pharmacist that hung up on me. But otherwise courteous. Even called me once to offer free meds delivery and was greeted at front of store, so I'd recommend this location at the end of the day.
Extremely helpful staff! Walgreens on Peterson is usually very stocked in products and the store is usually quite clean! Mark the cashier is absolutely wonderful and without a doubt always gets me to smile.
One of the garbage service by pharmacy prescription send out almost 12 hour go but they got ready only 3 out of 11 in almost 12 hour’s, don’t ever come to pharmacy. Plz go else where, thank you
Don’t send your prescriptions to this Walgreens it’s a joke. When your medication is not ready be prepared to wait on hold for 30 plus minutes, hung up on and transferred multiple times.
Don't expect to wait less than two hours for your medication. This is the most inefficient pharmacy I've ever been to. Drive further and get your stuff elsewhere.
We had an appointment for my daughter’s covid shot, they confirmed it… we arrived and they said they didnt have it in stock? Seriously… this pharmacy is a joke.
No good service went I get my medicine never it’s ready people are not frenly las time I estay more than 45 minutes may Doctor send prescription it’s not ready
Mostly as expected from this chain store, but during last visit some common intems not available also longer waiting time at checkout
All the items are displayed well so it's easy to find. Christmas gifts are out so much of choice love it …
They won't let me talk to anyone. I've been calling for hours. The person who finally answered hung up on me.
It's okay but need room for improvement especially in pharmacy
Nice clean. The pharmacy was fast with my prescription.
