"I was next in line at the Pharmacy"
On July 9, 2022, I entered the pharmacy to pickup a prescription that I had refilled by phone. I was next in line to be waited on. While I was waiting to be serviced, another customer came up to a different window. After the customer ahead of me was finished. The pharmacy tech proceeded to leave the window and wait on the customer who came up to the different window after me. When the manager asked me if I had been helped, I replied "no, and someone who came up after me got waited on before me." The pharmacy tech, in a rude voice replied "that is was not the way it happened." The manager tried to wait on me. As he was struggling to manage the computer system. The pharmacy tech came up to help him on the computer. With that being said, she informed me that the insurance would not authorize refills on my medication and asked if I would like to pay cash. When I replied "yes", she told me it would be $229. I informed her I did not have that kind of money. She didn't even mention ahead of time how much the medication would cost. After that, another woman came to assist me. There was some confusion with me having two insurances and nothing be covered. When I informed the woman to please delete the information on the first insurance, she replied it would not cover the refill. As the other woman was trying to help me, the rude pharmacy tech kept making rude comments under her breath. This wasn't the first time I ran into issues with this pharmacy tech. On a previous occasion, I went to pick up another prescription, which my dr. had prescribed for hair loss. When I went to pick up my new prescription, this rude pharmacy tech looked at me in a very strange way. I later found out that this same medication is used for men who have beign enlarged prostrates along with hair loss. She asked the pharmacist, in front of me, about the medication. I felt she was being completely sexist. I will never go back to this or any Walgreens ever again. Furthermore, I had been a customer of Walgreens for over 40 years. As of this moment I will take my business to another pharmacy.
We have NEVER been treated so bad!!! My husband and I dropped his script off then went to browse on the cosmetic aisle, then left as the pharmacy said a 90 minute wait... Upon returning to pick the script up, I waited in the car while my husband went in to the pharmacy, the Phoenix police drive up and within 5 minutes an officer and the store manager approached me waiting in the vehicle and the officer proceeded to accuse both myself and my husband of having stole perfume earlier when we dropped off the script!!! I was mortified and defended myself saying I had taken nothing but the officer was awful!!! I have never been sooo humiliated! The officer went so far as to reach in and grab my handbag, and begin to search the contents of it asking me where the stolen perfume was at!!! My husband arrived on the scene and asked what was going on and when the officer said we had stolen perfume the manager interrupted and said that it was make-up not perfume!! The officer stated this had been observed in video so we asked to see the video and we were told they were not obligated to show us anything!!! He then asked for our identification and upon getting us "cleared", he stated that Walgreens did not want our business and we were asked to leave and not return... The only thing we were"guilty" of, was being on the wrong aisle when something ended up being taken, as the officer stated that because we had been seen on that aisle we were considered guilty... I've never in my life been so humiliated or miatreates, and I will NEVER shop at ANY Walgreens!!!
Walgreens on 16 street 7000 N. 16th St., Phoenix, AZ 85016 Walgreens pharmacy. I am changing my pharmacy to Fry’s pharmacy. I will never go to Walgreens ever ever ever again the pharmacy manager the female she is very rude with me on the phone and they are a bunch of clowns at Walgreens so if I wanted to go to a Circus, I would’ve gone to Barnum and Bailey Circus looking for clowns, but search no further if you want clowns and you want to go to the circus, Wallgreens is your place to go for the circus act And you lost a customer Walgreens I’m going to pick up my prescription and I’m done with you all. She got mad at me the pharmacist manager because I was asking why I had to wait another day and why she was talking to me very rudely in an angry mood because I hung up on her I guess because she had told me something I did not like to hear because that’s what they do to me every time at Walgreens on the phone they always delay my prescription so I am done. I’m either going to Fry’s pharmacy or Safeway Pharmacy or a different Wallgreens because the one on 16th St., 7000 N. 16th St., Phoenix, AZ 85016 Walgreens pharmacy. They are a bunch of clowns I hope at least they have cotton candy and balloons so when I go to the pharmacy tomorrow, I can get an autograph from all the clowns that work back behind the counter at Walgreens pharmacy
Clerk was very rude, My daughter was checking out on 2nd lane, She asked for cigarettes, The gentleman behind the cigarette counter was picking the cigarettes out, He got it right the first time, but our clerk wasn't getting it, He wasnt listening. And made it look like my daughter was messing up, Once she got her cigarettes, he asked for a ID That's their policy even though she's 38 and I'm 60. She showed her license, and turn to me where I was near the exit, and said I need to see your ID, He said he will not sell her them until I showed my ID, There was a girl working at the makeup counter, She said that's are policy, I said I'm not buying cigarettes, Doesn't matter, I called for management. He was super nice and took her to a register where he sold them. Sure wish I would've got the clerks name, If he's not fired over this, I won't understand, Because if he treated us this horrible, We can't be the only ones!!!
I was next in line at the Pharmacy. The gentleman being helped came to pick up his prescriptions for he received a call saying they were ready. They weren't; I've had that happen to me as well and that alone is frustrating enough. The Pharmacy tech responded to his confusion with an annoyed "the automated calls are pretty much the same thing. Even if it says they're ready, they're not. It just means you have prescriptions available to fill." What? Apart from Walgreens in general needing to fix the automated call issue, the Pharm tech's response was laughable and moronic. Before I even had my turn to be helped I was already displeased with the service at this location. After I tried refilling my prescription I was told I had to wait 6 hours for it to be filled because they were "swamped". That definitely made my first visit to this Walgreens my last.
Today is Sunday December 11th at 2 o'clock PM. There's a man asking aggressively for money outside of this Walgreens. I had informed the cashier and another woman in side she said to "not say that, because if I said that she was gonna have to kick that guy off the property" well I did say something. I did felt threatened when I walked out and he asked for money and I told him I was sorry I didn't have any and he acted aggressively and started calling me punk and I thought he was gonna follow me. The only reason why I'm leaving this review is because I told the clerks inside that there was a man asking for money outside and that maybe they should do something about that because he was acting aggressively. We keep talking about if you see something say something well I said something and nothing happened
Very poor customer service cashier an afro American very loud talking obscenity to another worker across the store not even paying attention to the customers in line. I had to wait 3 hours before the pharmacy open cause I had gotten out if work at 7:00 a.m. when the pharmacy opened I was helped by Leo who acted as though I was wasting his time . I was call and left a voice message saying I had 3 prescriptions ready. When LLeo got my prescription reallly fast and started ringing it up, I asked him if there were 2 more he said very rudely thats it. I said.there is supposed to be 3 . he finished ringing it up ignoring me then he some other comments but at this time I didn't want to waste any more of his time. There was only 1 customer behind me . HE WAS VERY VERY RUDE AND HAD POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I had an emergency refill I needed filled immediately. Originally the person I spoke with on the phone said he didn't need a doctor's fax for an emergency and then connected me to someone who said they did. I immediately contacted my doctor who was out of the office but tended to it quickly. The pharmacist at this walgreens assured me I would be contacted as soon as they received the fax. So I waited for five days and I called them again, they said they had the fax all along and wanted to know when should they fill it. I became irate and asked the technician why I was not contacted as was promised, he refused to answer any of my questions. I have never been treated so poorly just to give someone my money. I will now make sure to go out of my way to never enter this Walgreens again
Came to Walgreens today at around 11am. Just swing by to get some hair dye. We saw they were on sale so we thought we would grab two. We go to pay and noticed they weren’t the sale price. We then brought it up to the clerk (Alma). My boyfriend brought it up to her that they were $5.99. Right away, without even checking she rudely comments “ we’ll it says $7.99”. My boyfriend then explains the prices we saw and she walks away and goes to check for herself. Comes back and does give us the correct amount. I proceed to pay when we were standing there as she whispers “ you guys are good to go” not a receipt was handed to us , not even a good day. She was very rude didn’t even greet us as we walked up to pay. Customer service I received was very disappointing.
I have been patronizing this Walgreens for the last 2 decades. Never once have I been treated the way I was this evening. Long story short, I was practically called a liar by the store lead and was quite embarrassed by his pompous candor in front of the other customers. CVS may very well have all my future quick stop in and pharmacy business from now on. I asked for the number to escalate my issue since he clearly chose not to help me and was given 1800walgreens as a number and was told I couldn't speak to the store manager until the following Tuesday. What an underwhelming experience this was.
I don't like this location. I'm a student with several medical conditions. I don't ever leave my laptop in my car for two reasons: theft and keep them from getting ruined by the heat. One day I wasn't feeling well and decided to pick up some meds. I soon as I walked into the store the staff confronted me as if I was a criminal. They wanted me to tell them what was in my bag. I refused to comply because it's none of their business. They are within their rights to ask. But it's also within my rights to refuse. I ended up walking out to take my business elsewhere.
More like a Walmart than a pharmacy. Sells all sorts of junk and they keep the medicines in the back corner so expect to get sick while visiting this 'pharmacy'. Rosy's pharmacy down the street on 12th st. and Northern is much better. Last time I was here was a decade ago, and stopped using Walgreens after they were so rude. They also refused an old man to use the restroom, so he wet himself. Walgreens has zero compassion. No wonder there's an opiate problem, Walgreens doesn't care about your health, they get their pounds of flesh with every opiate addict.
First let me say that I respect the law and do not condone underage drinking or sales of alcohol to minors. With that being said, this is the 21st century and not all of us carry wallets at all times. I do keep a picture of my drivers license both front and back. Was told tonight that is not good enough. I would understand if it was a 30 something, but being mid 50's, that is a stretch. Enjoy over charging for everything in your store, i may have to go out of my way, but will not spend another dollar at your location. ( and keep your snippy clerk as well)
The pharmacist is intentionally withholding my medicine. He has claimed two opposing views: 1. My 30 day supply of 90qt is belied by the dosing instructions 1-2/day. Therefore I only get 2/3rds of my dose. 2. It’s a 45 days supply because 90/2=45 day supply. If so, shouldn’t he have dispensed my medicine with that dosing instructions? 3. Numbers one and two are not compatible and such contradiction leads to one conclusion: This Walgreen’s pharmacist is intentionally withholding medicine from a patient.
Don't get your vaccine here. 0 out of 100. Had an 11:15am appt. Showed up 15 mins early like asked. Waited in line for 20 mins for someone to even greet us. Checked in and was told we need to fill out paperwork. Waited 45 mins, went back to the counter and asked where this paperwork was? Lady prints it right in front of me in 2 mins. Brought it back up and now have been waiting for the pharmacist to do the shot. Took over an hour after having to bug them all. Go somewhere else!
This pharmacy has been closed numerous times all day long due to staffing shortages. It is unbelievable that a corporation like Walgreens does not have something set up for when a Pharmacist is ill. I then contacted another Walgreens pharmacy to have my RX transferred and it was "stuck in the cue" and they were unable to fill it at another location without me calling the corporate office. I am finished with Walgreens!!! I will take my business to another company going forward.
I frequent this location regularly as it’s close by my work, the staff and store is wonderful. I stopped in recently for some usual stuff and was greeted so incredibly friendly by one of your employees named Austin, this young man and his awesome outgoing demeanor brightened my day. His personality and customer service was a breath of fresh air during these gloomy times. I definitely appreciated it. Thanks again Austin! Great job hiring this individual Walgreens.
I love this pharmacy, everyone has been amazing! I wish I could remember more of their names, but Rick went out of his way to help me. My insurance lapsed, and my script was going to be $240. He said they had a new app that searches for the best coupons. He got it down to $16!! I definitely recommend this location! Just remembered another name of an amazing person that works there, her name is Tania and she’s been very helpful!
Was charged $140.00 cash for immunization that my insurance covers 100%. But at time of visit Walgreen employee named Robert? said that they system is down so I have to either pay and bill my insurance or leave. I paid. 6 months, multiple calls and 3 appeals passed, Walgreens is making all possible excuses not to reimburse my money. Wallgreens is known for billing fraud look it up. This is another one under their belt.
I will never shop here because back in 2010 there was and made still work there name Daniel/Danny who has hit on my little girls at the time 5 through 15 years of age by offering them things a grown-up should never offering a child. So if he is still working there don't go there. Overall if he is not working here anymore then I will give it a 5 stare and by all means have fun everyone
The staff has always been VERY. friendly and helpful the pharmacists and tech's are the best in PHX in the past nobody wanted to fill my scripts with every excuse under the sun but it was such a breath of fresh air to hear no problem we'll have it ready in about an hr needless to say I have not been to any other chain pharmacy since this is one customer that wants to say THANK YOU
The service is dreadful. During the morning hours the cashiers are pleasant, but I rarely shop in the morning. Most of my shopping is done late on Saturday and I will NEVER go back. The manager accused me of fraud, and the cashier was extremely disrespectful when calling the manager. "I have a demanding customer". My purchase was $1.07 and my coupon was $1.
Getting followed by a big white woman in the store, made me feel very comfortable. Never been in this situation. Lady is Racist she changed my items to $85 for just small items I had I bought them still. She said that's how you charge a Mexican to the lady that was behind me in line that was white as well I got scared. I'm not Hispanic What should I do.
Pharmacists are great, but the lines aren't. This Walgreens is always packed so try and go late at night (although that isn't much better). It used to be open 24 hours, but for some reason they changed and are open until 12 -- I used to go get my prescriptions around 1 a.m. when it seemed to be quieter. Richard, the head pharmacist, is awesome.
The night guy with a Mohawk singing weirdly should be fired. He’s obviously on some serious uppers. Jumping over counters. Talking to customers way too long in argumentative debates. Was he on speed? Meth? Very uncomfortable to be around. Hope he gets a job somewhere OTHER than customer service. This is why I need to shop at target. No freaks!
I personally love going here. Definitely never had no problems at all with this Walgreens location. It’s always good vibes, the employees are always in good moods & smiling (under their face masks ) & always more than happy to help you with anything you need... don’t get no attitude or anything like other places I have had been to …
Called the Pharmacy just before closing. I spoke with Rick the pharmacist, and worried about the proper dose for my infant daughter, he guided me through the exact amount needed. To have a pharmacist who takes time to provide proper instructions, even late in the evening, makes customers feel great. This pharmacist is awesome!!
Free flushot False advertisement. They have huge sign saying " Free Flushots" and since I dont have insurance I went to get the shot to then been told "oh you have to have insurance otherwise its $76". How about you include that in your false adertisement for free flushots??? This is ethically wrong and misleading.
Customer service was very poorly.it took 30mins for a staff member to assist me and another lady.it was announced on the intercom 2.diffrent times until a staff member came and help me and another lady.the lady who came and assisted me was nice and helpful.however, i won't waist my time at that Walgreens again.
Called about 20 mins before closing. I keep having issues with my prescription toothpaste being incorrectly filled as a gel. Talked to a pharmacy tech named Brad. He was so upbeat and polite. He told me the price without insurance and even checked to make sure they had it before filling it for me.
Been going here for approximately 25 years, it use to be one of the best Walgreens in the valley, now most of the people working in the Pharmacy seem very stressed out and seem like they do not want to answer your questions. They can be very rude at times. I try not to go here anymore.
Besides feeling profiled occasionally (staff rudely staring and eyeballing my hands like I'm about to steal something) I give them 4 stArs especially since a very nice manager came outside to the car just to REMIND US ABOUT our bag that we had left ! LITERALLY SAVED MY butt!THANK GOD!
Was in this store yesterday and was shocked how unprofessional the employees and/or management were. Singing loudly throughout the store, joking and horse playing with each other (around lunch time) and using foul language. Customers throughout the store were in shock.
The manager/shift lead on duty was incredibly rude. I asked a simple question and was told that another employee could assist me and then he turned around and walked away. Complete disrespect.
The pharmacy is great at this location. They always have medications in stock, and their pharmacist really takes the time to make sure you’re taken care of. Best location in downtown Phoenix.
I don't normally shop at Walgreens but we forgot a few items at home and needed an easy in and out for flip flops and sunscreen. Could not have been easier and the cashier was great.
The parking lot has quite a few businesses very crowded hard to find parking service is average it's a very well stocked store and they have liquor and cigarettes at this location
Came in at 10:40pm to use the bathroom and they refused to open the restroom even though they have a sign saying it closes at 11pm. Spoke with a manager and she still refused.
80% of the time when I shop here they act put out by my business. I've shopped here 3 times a week for over 4 months, but I've no intention of shopping here any longer.
Great location! Parking lot can be a little hectic, but that's not their fault. They are quick and have everything I need when I'm in a hurry
Though they were out of Covid tests. Quentin helped me locate some at the nearest Walgreens. Thanks Quentin, much appreciated!!!
Good prices on food going on sale daily. And good prices on vitamins and drugs.Very friendly staff and good service.
This occasion was extremely clean and very well organized. The staff were all Pleasant and very attentive.
POOR SERVICE. they don't greet you and a receipt is worthless if you want to return something.
Store was clean, staff was friendly. Competitive pricing and great location.
Pharmacy staff is trash. They need to pay better to get better employees.
Love this Walgreens! The staff is friendly and will help you in a jiffy.
A nice quick stop, helpful staff, the pharmacy is super busy.
Went in for shoe polish and they had it! Great quick service.
ugh, terrible store, worse customer service
Too many people always in line at pharmacy.
It's a pharmacy with groceries & stuff.
Assistant manager was very rude.
best 24hr store in the area
We love going Walgreen as
Mostly good experiences.
Unfriendly Staff

Awful
