The pharmacy here is a clown show. I was examined for a foot injury at the Banner Urgent Care across the parking lot. I agreed to have my two prescriptions sent to WalGreen's since we are from Ohio and this one was close to the urgent care. An antibiotic cream and an antibiotic capsule. Simple. That afternoon I got two emails saying there was a problem with my insurance. Twice I tried to call to see what was up....on hold for 30 minutes each time. No answer. So I went to the store where I stood in line for another 30 minutes. When I finally got to the counter, the girl typed in the computer and said that my insurance said that the medications were not covered. Nothing else. I called my insurance company who assured me that the antibiotic capsules were indeed covered and there was an alternative for the cream. I went back to the Urgent Care and got the NP to let me take the prescription to Fry's instead. Took it there and it was filled within about 10 minutes.
I pick up medication for my auntie at this pharmacy. They never give the same price for medication and we’ve even paid for their Walgreens pharmacy card. I’ve tried to use good Rx card here and depending on the pharmacy technician, they may or may not accept it. For example, my auntie was given a price of $11 for one medication and when I got to the drive through the price had changed to $30. I gave them a coupon specifically for Walgreens and they told me the price went up to $41. They charge exorbitant prices for medication and refuse to take coupons meant for their pharmacy. I feel they take advantage of patients who can’t refuse to pay these prices when their health and life depends on the medication. I would give zero stars if I could.
So my 44 year old wife gets carded for smokes. She doesn't have her wallet. They won't sell her smokes. Because policy. You know. To protect the kids I guess. But they let her go out to the car, tell me, and have me go buy them for her. Blatantly. NoW riddle me this. What kind of power hungry Nancy is management there? I'm pretty sure it would be against "policy" and frankly, unethical, to allow a person they suspect is WAY too young (44) to buy smokes. You know... because me, the old man was buying them for her because she didn't have her ID. Or maybe an arrogant, insecure manager starving for control as she crept over the poor cashier getting my beyond frustrated attitude. CVS much better.
This store used to be excellent & I have been utilizing their pharmacy for over ten years. But during the past several months, it has deteriorated into an unreliable, incompetent service. They keep claiming that my physicians did not send in renewals despite proof that they were submitted. There is usually a delay because medication is "out of stock". They insist on filling prescriptions for 90 days despite countless requests for 30 day refills. Prescriptions purchased for years "evaporate" from their records. Several calls to this pharmacy result in indifferent, unqualified staff who don't care if I cancel my service with them. It's time to move all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy!!
My first time, and now my second time, I was greeted very nicely as I came in. This second time I was looking for WD40 and thought they probably wouldn’t carry it. I asked a very nice dressed man working near me if they had it and he smiled and said he would get it. He turned to the row across where we were and reached to get it. Also, I was looking for hair color and a very well dressed lady working there took time with me to help me find as near a shade as my hair is. It was a very enjoyable trip for me. The shelves seemed well stocked and I found everything I was looking for, even WD40!! Oh yes, it looked spotless! I’m going to have my medications switched over to get there.
Very first time, EVER, in this store!! I had a wonderful time! I came here & got, EXACTLY what I wanted & needed!!! Needed pharmacy help, to print off proof of scripts, for a pre-employment drug screen & also needed candy. Found lots of new & interesting things, so snapped more pics. The front cashier guy was super nice, funny, & respectful, about my uneasiness w/ the pink KitKats, haha. The store is big & bright, w/ copious amounts of aisle space, to get around, through.....non-cluttered!!!!! Close to office buildings on Greenway & umm, Greenway? lol! New area for me, because of a new job; I shall return, for all my Walgreens needs!
It’s becoming a habit now that when you call into this pharmacy they simply ignore you. At the time I’ve began writing this, I’ve been on hold for over 11 minutes with an annoying message that says I have 1 call ahead of me. So in other words, the staff is specifically looking at me holding and just ignoring it. This is unacceptable and borderline torturing customers in need of service. I’m going to have to get in my car, drive up there and submit my request. Now it’s been 15 minutes on hold. Are they serious? See attached pictures.
Terrible customer service. Waiting on hold for 20 minutes, Didn’t have a prescription I needed and when I asked if they can check if other stores have it stock they said they couldn’t bc they’re too busy and it would require them calling around and waiting on hold just as if I were to do it myself. Later I find out this isn’t true bc other Walgreens locations could just pull it up on their computers and answer my question within a matter of seconds. Terrible experience
I went to this Walgreen’s today after recently relocating nearby. I had already updated my account but the Walgreen’s system didn’t recognize my new zip code. Angela, who was checking me out, quickly updated my new zip code via her computer. Angela was kind, courteous, and very professional. She is a real asset to your company and personifies all that is still good in the brick and mortar stores. This will be my new Walgreen’s. Thanks again, Angela!
One of the worst Walgreens pharmacies I’ve ever been to. Extremely rude staff. When I requested to take my prescription somewhere else, a tech destroyed it by writing “VOID” all over it with a sharpie. I had to wait until Monday when my doctor’s office opened back up to get a replacement. My doctor had never heard of this kind of behavior. Shame on you Walgreens for hiring such uncaring pharmacy staff.
What happened to walgreens? Roughly half of every shelf was out of stock awaiting restocking. My pickup order was cancelled, when I go in store I find the product on a shelf and am told they can't match their own website. Price was $10 online per, while $5 via pickup with a website coupon on the product page. I'll just go elsewhere, this isn't worth the effort or hassle.
Disappointment is immeasurable. There was an empty shelf and I politely asked if there was any left in the back since it was a new product and the guy stocking other shelves said "it would be too hard to look for." Could've just said there was none but instead decided to let me know just how terrible operated this store is.
The pharmacy here is a joke. They never have medicine available and sometimes it take a day or two to get it in. The staff is rude and they make everyday dealings very difficult. If it wasn't for the fact that it was right around the corner from where I live and the fact they have a drive through I would have left teas ago.
This location is perpetually understaffed, with lazy pharmacy technicians who would rather wait for the next car at the drive-thru window than turn around and help the 10 people in line (they could simply alternate between the in-store and drive-thru; that'd be smart). Just fill your scripts literally anywhere else.
A few times my prescription had to be transferred or called in and they would forget to fill it. Many times I wasn’t notified my prescription was ready, plus the really really long wait times. It’s probably one of the slowest Pharmacies I’ve been to. The regular store portion is fine though.
Similar to your typical Walgreens. Great location with a very large, easily accessible parking lot. Staff is friendly and helpful, and they are very quick to fill prescriptions.
Easy store to get in and out of staffed by friendly employees. Please keep this location open as it’s accessible to professionals working on the Scottsdale road corridor.
Pharmacist literally just threw medication at me and said take this with food. Didn't warn me of any of side effects of new medication. Extremely rude and unprofessional
The pharmacy here is an absolute joke.. Their monotone soulless creepy staff does not know ANYTHING! They have wasted my time on many occasions.. find a better one...
Honestly, I like a lot of the staff here. I am sure some days are busy and that's were the bad reviews come from but they are great here.
Staff is rude and does not answer the phone after calling all week. Closed unexpectedly again so I cannot get my prescription.
Excellent Service. Big Thank you to Sonya for helping me out even when there was tech difficulties.
Dreadful service. It’s hard to tell whether the phone bots or the human service is worse.
I was not able to find magnets as sourvenir but the staff there was super nice!
Poor staffing, forever on the phone waiting, and not great customer service.
Its a Walgreens. Better then CVS. Good for prescriptions. Friendly staff.
This Walgreens allowed me to straight hustle through grade school.
This is the worst pharmacy in the Valley. They are SLOW
Little wait time and great service for prescriptions!
Worst pharmacy in town. Horrible customer service!
The absolute worst customer service and staff!!
Good experience overall. Started a bit rough.
Great location, open late and great stuff!!
Had a cashier that was joyless and rude.
Always professional
