"Wow what a weird experience"
"Overall I like this bookstore - but I didnt like to be pushed to buy something - I just looked at the one book because of interesting cover and 2 members of staf started to rave about it like crazy- I bought as I feel to be pushed to do it ( I have social anxiety OCD and Iam extremaly shy and introvert so I could not behave differently) - I did not enjoyed the book it was opposide I would normally buy - and because that experience in mind I propably will not back there - I just like to browse on my way - no need to be convence to buy something especcially if I dont seeking for advice"
"A good shop generally ahich seems to have improved lately"
"Really nice Waterstones book store located in Chiswick"
"This is a good bookshop"
Wow what a weird experience. I left shop shocked.. I was in the shop today around 3pm , just looking around and checking what they have - books , gifts etc . One older woman with grey hair came to me and asked me if I need any help . I said no thank you I’m good. But she was just standing there and staring at me. I was feeling very uncomfortable but I still try to check the books. She moved on my left side still staring at me and she asked me again what book I’m looking for. So I answered again- thank you I’m good I’m just looking around what they have but she didn’t answer anything but she was just standing and staring at me like I was doing something bad. I was trying to ignore this and that she asked third time ! And she again asked me what I’m looking for and she was staring at me like I’m a thief! In 1 minute she asked me 3 times what I’m doing there and she didn’t stop looking at me . I was completely shocked by situation and I left shop extremely confused and feeling weird. I never experienced something like this. What at absolute rude and disgraceful behaviour from this woman. I will never come back again there.

A good shop generally ahich seems to have improved lately. But I find quite a bit of variance between shops in terms of availability of stock outside the main offers, the books of the month etc. The staff are great here, very helpful, if a little run off their feet, particularly on a Saturday when long queues can form. I'm a regular customer (and at a couple of Waterstones nearby) and I find the staff at this one seem to have to deal with a lot of rude customers. Must be a Chiswick-thing?
Really nice Waterstones book store located in Chiswick. Ordered online book about body anatomy and same day was ready for me to collect it which is amazing At the same time I was able to find and buy game that I just played few days ago in the Netherlands and it is : Risk. So I bought it too Really glad that it is walking distance for me. Very nice, friendly staff and calm music played in the background.
This is a good bookshop. Plenty of space and loads of books (as you'd expect). Nice calming atmosphere and friendly staff. There's no one rushing you to buy a book. They're happy for you to browse for as long as you need to. Sadly, as with a lot of retailers, I think it won't be long until we see more bookshops closing down. I hope that this is not one of them. Recommended
You will be welcomed by the nostalgic smell of books. They're spread out over two floors and have a large selection of genres. They don't stock technical reads. However, browsing did reveal quiet a few hobbyist books. There's a few nooks and crannies spread out on the second floor which make for very good secluded reading zones.
I love wandering around this store. I really like that Waterstones now have started to stock board games....... However I don't like that they over charge for what they are selling. Please continue to stock board games, but price them up at a more competitive price otherwise people will go elsewhere. (I did).
I'm not the bookish one in my household. The bookish one doesn't like it because the quality of staff is so variable, a feature it shares with plenty of retail establishments that have expanded quickly and employ sales people rather than staff with and interest in the products.
I love going to Waterstones especially during in November in the run up to Christmas when all the new books are on sale including Autobiographies, humour and Guinness World Records. There always very interesting to read just to keep you interested in reading them.
I'm so pleased that they still stock quality fiction from established authors. Was disappointed to discover that my local library no longer does. The shelves are full and they have some good offers. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Will be back.
A nice bookshop with a large selection of books in all kinds of categories, from health care to thrillers. The staff is friendly. They also have a large selection of board games and quaint presents going along the theme of books, art and culture.
A large Book Store containing a large amount of educational and quality materials for all ages, and from all fields, including family games, and educational books through play. Although the prices are a bit high, I still think it's worth it.
Nice, friendly bookstore, but titles sold at RRP rates rather than the upfront discounts offered at another local bookstore / Amazon prices. They should offer more deals to increase customer traffic, rather than the ubiquitous 3-for-2.
I love Waterstones but can someone be more courteous than one of the ladies working in this specific store? I definitely know now which one is my favourite bookstore in London. Thank you for making our visit something to remember
Nice book shop with two floors. Ground floor feel like the shop puts it's current favourites, hardbacks and childrens books. For a deeper a read, you have to go to second floor; more fiction, non-fiction and specialist interest.
My son genuinely loves this place and fines all the staff kind and helpful with useful and interesting recommendations for books which he always enjoys and they also have a lovely selection of books with some signed editions
Big store, great selection of books and gifts. New points scheme worthwhile if you buy books regularly. Bit busy sometimes and staff not the most knowleable unfortunately but keen to help. Latests books available always.
good on many levels. huge range of books of all kinds, and a great kids corner with places to sit and read. loads of affordable toys on sale too, so perfect for presents. plus staff always very knowledgeable.
I love bookshops, but Chiswick Waterstones has to be one of my favourites - great selection of books I'd not come across before - looked particularly at ones for young teenage boys, women and veggie chefs!
They’re handing out Quality Street and Celebrations to people stuck in a long Christmas Eve queue - need I say more? (I will say more, staff are also really friendly and will give book recommendations!)
Amazing. One of the best WS stores, well laid out, civilised crowd, not crowded, and great layout and variety. My only criticism... cannot find where you keep your true crime / crime bio books here!
Love popping into Waterstone's for a browse and a shop! Great selection. Always find what I'm looking for and end up leaving with more than I intended (result)! A lovely space for some quiet time.
Excellent service..was looking for a book for a 7year old and the lady who was helping me was wonderful .... She knew where and what to look for.. thanking you for the excellent service …
Lovely building full of Books and other things too. Great if you like reading, and some of the books even have pictures in if you don't enjoy reading so much. Also a selection of Audiobooks.
I've dropped Amazon because of their terrible delivery service. Waterstones now do click and collect to their store: quick, reliable and free. (And no I don't work there or own shares.)
The biggest bookshop in chiswick offering a wide range of books over two floors, as well as a selection of boardgames, greeting cards, and gifts for all ages. Definitely worth a visit.
Great book store with a wide range of books and a great culture of customer service delivered by very knowledgeable team. Thanks a million for the great service to our high street
Nice shop . helpful sales assistant but not a great selection of books on the topic i was interested in .and in anycase you can buy all the books at waterstones cheaper on Amazon
My favourite shop. Great place to browse, sit and read a chapter or buy. A varied and always interesting selection of books. You can click and collect and there is a lift too.
Charming chain of bookshops full of bestsellers and other interesting books along the UK. Learning games, stationary and gifts are also available in these shops!
Still the best bookshop. You can order online and pick up here or browse the store. The staff are very knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations.
This is one beautiful book store! I love the handwritten recommendations on each table. You don't see things like that at book stores in the states. ❤
Big store. Loads of choice. I like the displays of the latest books. And I like that you can collect points and order online for in-store collection!
It looks very nice and has lots of books and different sections. Some prices are a bit on the expensive side comparing to others but very nice stuff.
Stunning natural beauty during day with wide spaces, diverse species and well shaped gardens. Christmas (night) Trail is also a Christmas favourite.
Excellent shop Too crowded today, they need to organise people coming in a few at a time to ensure safe distancing until our world becomes safer.
Love visiting this branch of water stones! A decent sized waterstones with lots to offer! Was nice to see members of staff wearing masks as well
They have great variety of books, organized aisle and a quiet place. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable with the location of every book.
For the second time this week I have received excellent service in Waterstones at Chiswick. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful.
It's a Waterstones and hard to love compared to my favourite indie bookshops, but the staff here are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Excellent bakery / cafe opposite Waterstones. Lovely selection of books to read whilst having an avocado on toast ☕ …
Staff is always very helpful and polite. Good variety of books and they always had newly issued books when I wanted to buy them.
Great selection of books and a well stocked shop. I went in for a travel book and found what I was looking for very easily.
Good shop. Got pretty much all best sellers and more. -1 star because I got a book for £20 and everywhere else it was £15.
Really nice bookshop, still can't beat the experience of instore. Plus lots of good suggestions for Christmas gifts.
Nice to see books again. Layout is more bargain books than sit and read but prices are of course at the top end
Really like the staff at their stores who always seem to have a genuine interest in the books they are selling
Just picked up the Chiswick Literary Festival. Helpfully shown where to find it by a staff member on the till.
kicked out of the store by an employee for going down the stairs slightly faster than walking speed. Terrible
My favourite destination for not only books but also toys, birthday cards, and birthday or Christmas gifts.
Lovely book shop with a couple of nice armchairs to browse the books. Good selection and very nice staff.
I love waterstones it's a beautiful bookshop where you can spend hours picking books and family games!
Set over two floors - wide variety of books and gifts. Weekly reading and other experiences in shop.
Very genteel, quiet book shop. Csn get busy but in a gentle way. Good selection and friendly staff.
Very cool bookstore with a lot of great options. Their card section was a lot of fun to go through.
Lovely shop. Great selection of books as well as gifts. Could do with a couple more staff members.
Feels good to go to a good book store, browse the books on selection and pick, great kids section
Amazing book shop. Perfect place to get away for 1-2 hours and switch off the noise of the city.
The staff are always very helpful and have given me some great book suggestions over the years.
Huge range of books, gifts and stationeries. I like reading the cocktail books for inspiration.
Wonderful bookstore. Fantastic range + board games and toys for kids. Could spend hours there.
Lovely big, clean store with helpful staff and quite a good selection of children's books.
I liked that book shop they can order books if they not got it on the shelf friendly staff
One of my most favourite book stores in London. This is a place to go for great books.
Always a delight to spend time here ...great 'time pass' on a cold winter's afternoon
Decent selection and some nice staff recommendations in both fiction and non fiction

Perfect bookstore. They also have stationery and nice gifts for children 1 to 14.
Very nice and cozy book store, great place for kids to spend some time to read.
It is a normal bookshop but the people were very enthusiastic and happy to help
Lovely big branch. Helpful staff. Great range of books, toys , stationery etc.
The most awesome Waterstones I have ever been to, I would move in if I could.

Great service, so worth going here rather than the Internet...
Good quality books and a range of little toys and statione.ry
