While conducting an in-person visit of the bank was a pleasant experience, attempting to reach a specific banker, or banking personnel via email or by telephone is a futile experience. a. the telephone numbers on signature lines in an email are simply the number to the branch, not the person. b. correspondence with branch personnel can go days without a response... for example I sent an email on a Monday to a banker I've been working with at the branch, it's now 3 days later on Thursday and still no reply to a simple inquiry. c. the KTS (key telephone system) is ultimately programmed to not permit a phone call to go through to the branch because no one picks up the phone. upon dialing in, a caller can choose to speak to a banker, but the phone rings endlessly until the KTS prompts to use automated service or continue to hold. upon continuing to hold the phone again rings... but personnel do not pick up and the KTS essentially fails, not permitting the caller to remain on the line only providing automated service options and a recording "the bankers at this branch are busy helping other customers and cannot take your call at this time" which is essentially complete bulls--- (I've attempted to dial the branch after being in the vicinity and witnessing low traffic and still no one picks up the phone, it's just deliberate) Again, while the folks are very pleasant in-branch, do not expect to maintain a relationship, or receive any timely follow up if you need to actually contact someone outside of person to person i.e., over the phone or via email, it's a frustrating experience. You've been warned. Update 8/9/2023 after reaching out to WF per Dillon's response below, ultimately this was a complete waste of time capped off by a form letter from their "Line of Business" team... essentially, they're doing nothing other than blowing smoke up a consumer's arse. It's hilarious that people are being paid to do this. Just don't do it, don't bank with Wells Fargo, just go somewhere else, the bank's professionalism is pathetic. Email Excerpt - "We hope this email finds you well. We wanted to reach out in response to the concerns you raised about the delay in our branch banker's responses through phone and email and concern about our phone system. Your feedback is important to us, and we would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We take great pride in providing excellent service to all our valued customers, and it's disappointing to hear that our communication channels have fallen short of your expectations. We understand the importance of timely and efficient communication, and you deserve a quality financial relationship and excellent service. Each experience we share with a customer is an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding. We value your business and look forward to serving you better in the future. Case status We have closed the case..."
I went in to deposit 3 money orders. SABRINA, would only deposit 2 of the three because the 3rd money order had "expired". I left confused because I thought money orders didn't expire, especially ones from USPS. I drove home, hopped on google and sure enough, they DON'T EXPIRE. I called Wells Fargo just to be sure, WELLS FARGO also confirmed that they don't expire. DROVE BACK and luckily got the savvy SABRINA again, I asked for manger and she replied that she was a manager!?!?! How could a LEADER be so unsure of their responsibilities or simple banking operations. She deposited the money order without issue, you could see her EGO deflate as she printed my receipt. On the Way out I asked if she had anything to say after being wrong and for wasting my time. She refused to apologize, that is how sad of a person she is and how poorly the branch is "managed". She can have all the makeup and cosmetic surgery in the world but it wont cover up her poor attitude or lack of empathy.
I work security in the area so I'm by the outside of the plaza often. I understand that with the pendemic that there's only so many people allowed n the bank at one time. Nichelle who is the bank manager was controling the flow of the people in and out of the bank. She told me that the wait shouldn't be that long. But I got a call on the radio and had to leave the area. I returned the next day and Nichelle remembered me. Not only that but she went to the teller who was helping me and made sure that received the assistance i was asking for. I've never had a bad experience at that branch. Everyone is very friendly there. I highly recommend that branch.
Incompetence at its finest - STAY AWAY I rate the staff at a 1.1 out of 5 The manager could care less about our issues we were having that was caused by one of HER employees. She basically wrote us off and made us deal with the 1-800 wells customer service, which was equally terrible. This bank/company has so many holes and issues that they can not fix them selves. It took 6 hours of calls and sitting at the branch waiting for them to fix the issue they caused. The issue was never fixed, we had to close account and go back to CHASE--- STAY AWAY FROM WELLS -- they are like Cox, they have not idea what's going on in their own company..
I have been coming here for about 10 years and never had to write a review. I come every Monday and Wednesday to make a deposit for my business and today I show up at 5:00 on the dot and I'm turned away by the security along with the bank tellers looking at me, they're still where people in line so it wasn't like I was going to make anybody wait... Very disappointed in the service and that they're trying to get out of there so quickly. I understand maybe 5 minutes but one minute if not on the dot come on Wells Fargo.
Went in to make a bank account and the bank teller was very rude and condescending the whole conversation that didn’t even last 5m. I ignored it and kept being nice and asked how long it usually takes to make a bank account to which she replied “I don’t know, I’m not a banker.” With a tone. Very nice. Keep losing customers. Because of this, I’m no longer considering Wells Fargo.
Banker Alina was very helpful she went above and beyond assisted in our case. however there was another banker she was hesitant to assist in this regard. she also had unpleasant language. I have been with wells fargo for over 5 years and this the second time getting impressed with good customer service. Banker like Alina are saving bank customers
Wells Fargo charges service charges for their service charges. Not to mention, they stole their customers identities to create fraudulent accounts for their own benefit. Wake up people. There is something wrong when banks are billion dollar institutions. What do they ACTUALLY provide? Not much when you really stop and think about it.
The service here was truly spectacular! I’m an African American male and I am so used to being prosecuted and discriminated against but the people here were very patient, and extraordinarily helpful! If you need any service Adrian and Fries(not sure if that’s how you spell his name) are a wonderful help!
Cool branch location. It's tucked away in the back of the building in the first floor behind the elevators. I will say this too, there are specific enter/exit doors so make sure you go to the right side to enter the bank because that's the proper way inside.
It is a great branch the staff is friendly and very helpful for all my banking needs. I go out of my way to bank downtown San Diego wells Fargo branch Cuz national city always has a very long line no wait here at all. ( and the beautiful staff )
Worst service ever, personal banking staffs are not capable at all. Even, they do not know how to set up a joint account. Staff is not trained enough to serve customer. They provided wrong information and wasted our time.
"Over-kind" persons, a lot of social talk, nothing is simple here. I was not able to process a wire transfer here, 2 separate occasions. They simply didn't know how to do it. But they are kind to the nerve collapse....
A little disappointing. I was trying to arrange an appointment for my boss at this location, but they don't pick up the phone line. It continuously turns over to the main bank phone line.
The manager is the worst person that should not be working in a bank or with people. She is extremely unprofessional and on a big power trip. She needs to take classes in Human Behavior.
Not the best, but not the worst. They are conveniently located near where I work. Tellers change often and sometimes staff are not there when you need. However, they are friendly.
I called to make an appointment to send a wire and got a voice mail that they can not answer the phone at this main downtown location. nice.
Adrian, the teller, was very professional! I had a good experience even though it was a simple transaction. I would come here again.
