Amid the decline of traditional malls, Westfield Valley Fair stands out as a model for others to emulate. Nowadays, malls have evolved into hangout destinations rather than just shopping hubs, given the prevalence of online shopping. Malls that offer a range of attractions, including good food, diverse shops like coffeehouses, dessert spots, international cuisines, fun activities, and entertainment, are thriving. This approach attracts more visitors, and retail stores benefit from increased foot traffic as people explore and browse as part of the experience. As an Asian myself, I find that Valley Fair has created an enticing hangout spot, particularly as it has become a foodie's paradise. The mall boasts a wide array of eateries, including Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese, and more. These are not your run-of-the-mill options but renowned chains, often with long queues, like Din Tai Fung, Ramen Nagi, and Hui Lau Shan. The Icon theater and the new Bowlero also add to the vibrant atmosphere, and the mall's cleanliness and modern facilities make it a top choice. While Valley Fair offers an impressive retail lineup, including upscale brands like Dior, Gucci, and Saint Laurent, it's worth noting that their bathroom facilities could be improved. However, they are still cleaner than some other locations, like Macy's. The mall's extensive parking, contemporary aesthetic, and diverse store selection, spanning from well-known chains to high-end boutiques, make it one of the nicest malls I've ever visited. Even if you're not dining, you can easily spend hours window-shopping. It's also noteworthy that Valley Fair houses a unique plant nursery called Leafy, creating a tropical paradise ambiance. While weekends can get busy, it's well worth a visit to spend quality time with family and friends. The parking policy has changed, allowing two hours of free parking before charging $1 per hour, which has slightly impacted weekend parking availability. In summary, Westfield Valley Fair is undoubtedly the best mall in the Bay Area.
I took my two daughters to the Apple store to get a few accessories. I knew the store was moving to a new location, but was surprised to find out that they moved already. The new store is big, bright and busy. Currently you need a reservation to go into the store. It is definitely the flagship store for the Bay Area. After our visit to the Apple Store, we checked out the new expansion to Westfield Mall. They did a good job. The expansion is in the front of the mall facing Stevens Creek Blvd where the parking garage used to be. Besides the addition of a lot if retail, there is a large outdoor area with restaurants and sitting areas. The outdoor area is nice with water features and a decent amount of outdoor eating. The new restaurants is a mix of mid to high end dining with a few casual options. Mastro’s Steakhouse is under construction and looks to a be a two story restaurant. It is nice that Westfield is reinvesting lots of money in this mall even though the future of malls might be rocky. Their investment will keep this mall one of the nicest and highest grossing in the nation.
This is one of the largest shopping mall in the Northern California Area. It consists of 214 stores, 58 Dining options which includes Eataly, Din Tai Fung, ranked as the world’s best restaurants by the New York Times. An Outdoor dining space facing Steven Creek Boulevard with Beautiful Landscaping, Water Features, Fire Pits, Arts, all shorts of Entertainments, and an events patios that brings many people together Every day! Bloomingdale’s, Nord Storm, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Coach, Gucci, Prada, are among some of the popular retailers shops you’ll find in this Valley Fair Mall. And the lists goes on!!!! Dinning options are countless! From the Cheesecake Factory to California Pizza Kitchen, to Bamboo Sushi, Steakhouses to Goldhill Bistro, Ruby Thai, Sarku Japan, and so much more Restaurants located here in this Mall! There are just too many things here to discover!
Very large mall compare to great mall and other sounding area . Lots and lots options for all kind of shops . There are multiple shop for all kind of categories like diamond, kids clothes, men clothing, women's clothing, kids accessories, makeup , you name it and you have the shop there . Very huge food court and lots of seating area. Inside decorations are also good and you will see security all over. Restrooms are clean . Best part - same category shop is put together with all possible vendors. Like one section with all makeup related shop and one with all diamonds related. Lots of parking inside and out side . Parking area has red/green light to identify as full/empty spots. You need lots of time to cover the whole mall.. surrounding area also have lots of other shops and good downtown walk for evening . Overall fun place to visit /shoping.
Undoubtedly the crown jewel of the Bay Area, this mall sets the standard for modernity, luxury, cleanliness, and sheer beauty. Its continuous renovations and diverse array of stores create an ever-evolving shopping paradise. Movie enthusiasts will find themselves in heaven with the prestigious ICON theater on-site. The bustling food court and the restaurants scattered throughout the mall, some with long queues, speak volumes about the exceptional quality of their cuisine. As a delightful one-stop shopping destination, it caters to all your needs under one roof. While parking is complimentary for the first two hours, weekends can be a bit challenging to find a spot. But fear not, a little patience will be richly rewarded with an unforgettable shopping and dining experience that will linger in your memories!
I had not been to this mall since they remodeled and added on and while I am impressed, at that the same time I was lost in the mall because it is huge. The mall has grown and expanded its outdoor dining and restaurants. Not only is it a mall but it’s really fun inside and outside. There’s cornhole there’s a bocce court, there’s ping-pong tables in the mall there’s Instagram walls throughout the mall inside and out besides all the great shops for all budgets. Some of the popular ones are Macy’s, Uniqlo Abercrombie and Fitch, Footlocker, Gucci, Bloomingdale’s, Lego store and a big food court inside and many restaurants in the new outdoor eating including a new high-end VIP experience movie theater you can literally spend a whole day in here where because there’s so much to do, see and shop.
I came by to shop here since it's Black Friday week and pretty much they added Christmas decorations. Most stores sell products that are on sale and I decided to buy a few items there. I also noticed that the Bath & Body Works store was relocated at a different section of the mall and thought that it's gone for good. I decided to buy one of their hand soaps since they're on sale with prices of $2.95. The Dining Terrace is well-designed with a bunch of great food selections, but I decided to get something from Potato Corner since it's been a while since I went there. Parking tends to be difficult at first and second floor, which is why I decided to park at mezzanine floor. I didn't want to shop during Black Friday since parking is gonna be too crowded.
Westfield Valley Fair Mall has a great selection of stores and some nice restaurants, making it a solid choice for shopping and dining. However, the experience is let down by a few key issues. Firstly, the management’s approach to parking is frustrating. Not only is parking overpriced, but finding a spot can be a real hassle, often eating up at least half an hour. Another significant concern is the security around the mall, particularly with the noticeable presence of shoplifters and general theft. This situation casts a shadow over the efforts and resources put into parking charges. While the mall itself offers a variety of options for shoppers and diners, these concerns around parking and safety unfortunately impact the overall experience.
Big shopping mall situated at the best and convenient location. Very much accessible from freeway ... Once you reach near the mall, getting in and Parking your car will take too much time. Parking is a big problem. Even though the parking lot has 3 level parking facility, but still it will be filled. Navigation at parking lot is good but still misguided by technical issues. It shows green but the car port will be full. This took us 2 rounds to search free parking spot. Inside mall is very good collection of shops. Navigation instructions could have been more better. Not for quick shopping. If you are going with good amount of free time, then you can go for shopping here.
This renovated and expanded mall is a great place for shopping, dining and entertainment. All types of retail shops including the premium ones are housed here including the big ones like Macy's and Nordstrom. There are multiple restaurants and cafes serving different types of cuisine. Ample multi level parking is available and so are rest rooms on each floor. All in all a good place for spending time with family and friends or also alone! Visited this place once again on November 14, 2023 and was very happy to see a number of Christmas decorations at different places in the Mall much before the onset of the Yuletide season.
Keep sucking on the tittytainment as a half-awakened human in the matrix of material distractions. I keep coming back to Valley Fair for shopping and dining like a baby desperately needs her pacifier. Went to an expensive and terrible-tasted steakhouse Mastro and highly not recommend it. Now I got salty over their super SALTY food. Bamboo Garden has closed its door. A Korean BBQ restaurant has opened. So many new things to be tried on. Store displays are beautiful and festive. Even window shopping and people watching are fun! The excitement is multiplied during the holiday. Willingly digging it...
Very upscale mall with a lot of expensive brands. The place is very nice and clean. Plenty of sitting area for you to rest. It is anchored by Macy's, Nordstrom and bloomingdale's. There is a food court and several restaurants scattered in the mall. The food court reflects the heritage of the area with plenty of Asian options. There is a cheesecake factory and shake shack. You can also opt for a movie at ICON theater. Worth the drive from SF or east bay. Would come again. Would give 5 stars except for the still empty stores yet to open and the need for more food options for this size mall.
Classily decorated and laid out mall with full spectrum of consumer goods and brand names - high end to bargains. You'll see Louis Vuitton, Swarovski, Chanel, Valentino, Cartier, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, Zara, Macy's etc. Good food court and boutique restaurants like the Taiwanese Din Tai Fung. A Japanese shop JINS- for eye wear (prescription & other) has a big spread of choice spectacles. Quite a popular shopping mall. Its five storied parking structure was almost full on a weekday afternoon at about 4pm.
Super expensive place if you try to buy anything because it is a place that has Bloomingdale’s after all but you can still have a good time window shopping considering all the cool stuff on display especially the motorized donkeys at a place called i think “gentle monster “ that I thought was fun. Yeah a cool hangout spot with great food options like eataly for an authentic Italian cuisine experience. A solid 4 star for me. Not a 5 star as most of the shops are not really super affordable.
Very lux shops and some great restaurants. I'm not a big "mall" shopper. Pleasantly surprised that even with the empty shops how they chose to utilize that space with murals and fun things throughout the mall. My negative was parking, the lot has colored lights supposed to indicate open parking spaces yet there were none even when there were green lights and the parking lot was just very chaotic I would use valet in the future and not try to deal with parking garage
Very busy super fabulous for all the ladies that have all the money and can spend a hold their you they're like literally have lunch with your friends go shopping or just be by yourself and pamper yourself from little gifts or just going to the stores that you are used to also a great place to explore new stores. Great place to meet people also a single just be a happy shopper if you're happy shop there and you got money this is the place to be.
Westfield Valley Fair is an impressive shopping centre. There are probably at least 100-150+ stores. Parking for the first two hours is free and then every hour after is $1 per hour. Really enjoyed walking through the infrastructure of the establishment because of all the various businesses, shops and eateries. Plenty of relaxation areas in case you need to take a break from walking and sit in the nice furniture.
With the new expansion Valley Fair is definitely the most popular and upscale shopping mall in South Bay. But we felt frustrated after they charge for parking. Even though the first two hours are free and each additional hour is only $1, but in order to get all the traffic to go through the gates, they make entry and exit much more tedious than before. Can’t imagine how bad it would be during holiday peak time.
Super big mall with two stories and a lot of parking lots. There are many shops and restaurants here, most are high ends, some are average price. There’s a dining terrace located on the 2nd level. Minus points: - lack restrooms. For a mall this big, I’d expect more restrooms, for both genders and family rest rooms. - mall map is very confusing, and they don’t have small flyer maps to carry on the go.
This place is huge. I literally got lost in it and wish I had left a trail of breadcrumbs to find my car again. Its a mall with little unique character, you could be in London, Singapore or Kenya. It has the same displaced antiseptic vibe to it. I should have avoided going. On the plus side if you are looking for a mall with plenty of parking and good amenities here's the place for you.
To me the best mall in the greater Bay Area is here. It always has lots of people shopping and it almost has all the popular stores from the standard ones to the luxury ends. It’s definitely a great place to pass time, go shopping with friends and family on any days of the weekend. Downside to any popular places are trying to find a parking spot and that could be challenging at times.
Family's favorite mall, with a wide variety of food and spending limits for all. Eataly is a must! 3 floors full of gorgeous Italian adventure! Onigilly for a drive by walking dish/snack! Wish there was still a kids play area, but the mall is so busy now that having a play area was full of havoc and chaos. A 5-10 kid mad part area would have 30/40 kids inside at most times.
It's been several years since my last visit and this place is now much bigger with a lot more dining options including Din Tai Fung, ramen and udon restaurants which could be very busy and has long line of people waiting to dine in. Large parking structure but it's now metered parking and is still free under 2 hours if I'm not wrong but it used to be completely free.
The atmosphere is a blend of casual and sophistication, making it perfect for a quick bite or a nice dining experience. The staff is knowledgeable about the food they serve, adding to the overall enjoyment. But I would only come here again in the future if someone else wanted to try it out, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again
The bozos who designed this mall do not understand the basic concept of signage. It is simply not difficult to sign where restrooms are in a mall. It’s very easy - almost every mall had detailed, informative signage. Not this mall. Finding a restroom in this mall is like looking for a speakeasy. Each sign is unique, and seems designed to be di
They say malls are dead...NOT THIS ONE. There are no empty store fronts, the food court caters to picky foodies, and there are a variety of stores to fit EVERY budget from thrifty to luxury. It's also HUGE and I have yet to explore the whole mall. Recently, the new Sony Honda EV was unveiled here and I enjoyed it as well as the mall.
Hands down the best mall in the Bay Area. There are not much in the bay to begin with, you can basically count them on your hand. Westfield did a good job of the extension and remodel of the mall. Lots of new eateries spread throughout the mall but still lots of vacancies. Only downside, you pay for parking now.
First time to visit Santana Row which is very impressive and enjoyable to walk around. Many boutique shops and restaurants along the main road of Santana Row, even a Hotel Valencia is opened in Santana Row. Santana Row is adjacent to huge Westfield shopping mall. Could spend a whole day here for shoppers.
Visited Valley Fair mall after almost 2.5years. Has updated well, I must say. They charge for parking now, if your parked time exceeds 2 hrs. They have quite a range of stores from designer to fast fashion. I missed some of the old restaurants at the food court though. But I am happy to see Lululemon.
High-end shopping. This is where the elites and their kids come to shop. Definitely a high-end experienced. Even if you're broke, you could do some window shopping. No problem, just as long as you dress properly. Otherwise you will be looked down upon of course we're then raising so dress accordingly
Converted to a upscale mall after the restructuring. Front of the mall is really beautified with open spaces and courtyard. Apart from the prior food court , there are new restaurants for fine dining. Parking can be a little confusing, park on the top level to directly enter the mall.
Best Mall in San Francisco Bay Area. Modern clean decors. Plenty of shops, delicious restaurants and reputable brands. Easy access to freeway. New parking structures. Conveniently located across outdoor mall Santana Row. Great place to meet up with friends and spend time with family.
Pros: ▫️ Centrally located ▫️ Sprawling, with more than the usual spread of shopping outlets in other malls ▫️ Decent food court with indoor and balcony-like open air seating arrangement. ▫️ Apple Store ▫️ Ample parking. Free for 2 hours. Cons ▫️ None except that it can be addictive.
Haven’t been back in a while but wow it is greatly improved and livelier. More parking garages that are free under two hours and parking for EV’s everywhere which is great. Mall is super clean and modern, great restaurants just opened up there, and it gets going in the weekend.
Feel safer in here than Palo Alto shopping center. I used to enjoy shopping at open Mall but inside a Mall is safer. No wonder most luxury retailers moved inside West field mall for more security. Crowded but comfortable and plenty of good food to eat after a browsing time
This was a giant Mall. Please where comfortable shoes as it is massive. We found what we were looking for plus more. There is a Theatre here to and many food options or snack idea places to catch a snack or treat. There was even a Macy's for Only Men and one for Women!
Loved it.. Its a picturesque mall. So many decorations and huge. Parking outside is limited but if you park in parking garage, it's free for 2 hours and then $1 per extra hour. Maximum $10 per day for parking. Next to it is Santana row which is amazing place.
Hustle and bustle , mall is high class, tons of shoppers walking through but only a handful of stores are busy but many are not . Parking is difficult . Many Restaurants to select from . The atmosphere is joyous . Everyone is in the Christmas spirit
Amazing mall with huge selection of stores high end and regular stores as well. Great food places to eat and cafes to stop by for hot or cold drinks or if you simply want to grab a dessert. Kid friendly and wonderful for family going out.
This is the best mall in California, the biggest in Northern California and the 13th largest in the United States. It has every possible store and venue you can think of. It also has over 58 dining options. Is a really great experience.
Luxury brands in one place! Very safe & cozy to shop. Parking can be difficult after 11 AM. No complimentary sanitizers in the food court. I think they used to have stations for it last spring. Restroom is usually crowded.
Really it's a amazing place to visit. A place where you will get all the luxurious brands with breathtaking collection. Here they have game zones and very good food joints. Multiplex is also available.
Black Friday, I have been trapped in parking lot waiting to exit for an hour. Absolutely no move. Tried to call the management and security. No one answered the phone or responded to the voice-mail.
The Mall is very nice very big a lot of brands the food court is very beautiful busy everyday the parking lot all around the mall but it's super busy one concern that the spots are super small
Nothing to complain about. Sodas start at about $3. Parking is free for 2 hours, $1/hr after that, up to $10/day. Bowling alley & movie theatre are now open. Movie theatre validates parking.
Wow. You don't see these types of stores in the middle of the country. We were very impressed with the Bowlers game place. We've also never seen lines like the ones for the noodles shops.
If you want sanity for parking, don't come. Horrible parking arrangement. Especially holiday season. Will try to avoid if possible. Also, beyond 2 hour free parking, it's $1 per hour
This shopping complex is amazing. Variety of retailers which has a great appeal for all. Very clean and parking is $1 per hour as compared to San Francisco parking prices.
This MALL was OUTSTANDING! Got there EARLY 930AM (THURS) walked around, and found it VERY PLEASANT and HUNGRY LOL GRAB A SNACK and SMACK! …
More Hi-end stores are opening. Good for walking around in few hours. There's charge-point stations in door parking near entrances. Paid Parking after 2 hrs.
The place is quite big and it is filled with many stores. It’s mostly food stores and luxury brands. They have a variety of foods in the food court though!
For me one of the best malls even when compared internationally. The mall hosts a great selection of quality shops and dining venues.
Long delays trying to leave the parking garage because of the horrible system. Please fix it so customers have a good experience.
I thought it was going to be a boring mall visit, but this mall is spectacular! Lots of interesting things to see, buy and eat!
High end branded stores with tons of options inside food court. We like Ramen Nagi. Food was amazing and hospitality was great
Good ambiance. Lots of eateries and Branded shops. Lovely place to hang out and relax while shopping. There's a Theater too
Excellent mall, and many options are available. It is very well kept and always a positive environment.
