It's great and very good place for community and family activities. Big sports field to play any shorts on the grass, 3 concrete courts for basketball or netball. Favourite thing is the dog park. Could do with some improvement on the seating and shaded cover overall as often the sun will beat down on you in the open.

I ride my bike from Bidwill to St Mary's using the transmission line track. It's open grasslands, creeks, wildlife. Its beautiful. Yes we do have people dumping there rubbish.Blacktown council at the moment doing great job.Maybe more signage and more bins in and around the parks.

Good old Whalan reserve the place to go where no one will see you do your illegal activities. Burnt out cars. Selling/taking drugs. Making out in the car. This is all from self done knowledge. nice football Fields great place to walk the dogs or ride a bike/dirtbike. More

Whalan reserve is an awesome place, It has an amazing history too.. It was once known as the Mt Druitt Aerodrome and in 1942 was commissioned by RAAF and was utilised as a bomb dump after WW2 by the United States Air force. In 1951 it was

This is a really good facility. There are great pathways for running and walking. Council could be a little more attentive o trimming the bushland edges and fixing the asphalt on the old go cart track but they maintain the facility itself

a huge park for days. has power lines running through. has many soccer, rugby football, cricket, netball fields. has a bike jump arena and rc race track. riot squad frequently train at the crack of dawn. very diverse reserve.

  • Martin Glass

I had a nice long walk down the power line footpath and it brought me into the reserve, I only wish it had a lake feature similar to Werrington Lake in Penrith, and a concrete footpath winding through the creekside trees.

  • Norm Strathdee

Good place for walking. Pretty flat with a concrete path around the perimiter of the cricket pitches. Can get busy with dogs "off lead", sports days and general public. Look out for snakes and learner drivers!

  • Andrew Murphy

Great place for a family picnic, swim along the banks of the pristine ropes creek, swing from the rope swing local kids have installed, thoroughly enjoyed and recommend a visit, was once a ww2 training ground

  • Liam Piggott

there are many different sporting activities taking place here. Whalan reserve is massive, there is a lot of room for everyone and more A lot of work is going on at the moment more trees being planted etc.

  • Peter Surveyor

Excellent! There's something for everyone here. An awesome cricket oval, a flying fox for the kids, amenities blocks, and a remote control car racing track with an elevated control tower.

  • Trent Anderson

Whaling reserve is beautiful to take your animals walking but there's not enough water their you've got to walk on my old just to find water that was my only problem with Wyoming reserve

  • Blend 43

The place has everything. Model aircraft, model rockets, mini go-cart track, playing fields, exercise equipment & heaps of space. Thank you NSW Rocket Club, a great Saturday out!

Could be way better if money wasn't the issue. Has potential to be a draw card for kids, teens if it was funded. We catch guppies here, to eat mozzie larvae in our ponds.

This is a big park offering fresh air and number of playing fields for a variety of sports like rugby, soccer, cricket and much more. It has jump bike and RC track.

  • Lisa Grumley

It has been recently refurbished New change rooms toilets and a childrens park. Long overdue as it is a good community park and sporting fields to use for exercise

  • kapil arora

An otherwise nice park and cricket ground(with lot of grass). Only one big disappointment was unleashed dogs without any owner around and were chasing kids around.

  • Jon De graaff

There is plenty of shade on a hot day, but when you want a bit of peace and quiet, sometimes you get some really noisy dirt bikes from stupid, irresponsible kids.

  • Rachel Irving

My kids and I like going for walks here but council really need to keep it clean. Went there 2 weeks ago to watch soccer gross stuff in the parking lot

  • Phil Marriott

Just another field in Blacktown LGA but a mighty big one! If your here on a regular Saturday or Sunday during winter it's alive with sporting events.

  • Prn N

Well maintained and mowed cricket field. Ample car parking. Toilet facility available and it opens around 8:30AM when we played on a Sunday

  • Abtsam Gondal

Went here for Clean up Australia day. Found most of the garbage next to the creek in the forest. Otherwise, the park is well maintained.

  • HRISHIKESH MATE

Huge reserve, 6 crickets pitches plus a racetrack for RC cars, I have even seen people practising their dirt bike skills on the reserve

  • AUSxGHOSTFACE

Regularly go there for the free Parkrun/walk. 8am every Saturday by the cricket oval.

  • Oscar Mendoza
