Ive been here 2 times so far in different washing spots, and both of them, blow dry did not work. I know it comes out of another nozzle they have but they were definitely not working. I had to exit with my car wet, which resulted in water marks. I wish they fix it. I dont have hope though. Maybe ill just pay for car wash seasonal pass from petro canada instead especially in the winter. EDIT: I just went here to try again as my new car was just little bit dirty but I needed to clean it so didn’t want to spend a lot on the automatic wash. I found out this time that the timer seems so much shorter per loonie than before. Couldn’t even just do a hot rinse (1st step) the entire car. Another thing is, this time the blow dry seemed like its working but its very week. It barely dries any water on the car and I have to have it right on the surface of the car to blow away the water droplets. So I had to take out microfibre cloth to wipe all water, which definitely is much more work in order to completely dry without any streak. I think for sure I’ll go with automatic wash next time.
As one who has been going ever since it opened I liked the place I have washed every car that I have owned there. But there is a few things to take in account. In the summer I wash the car and then go out to dry. If I use the brush which is all the time I use the high pressure hose give it couple of swipes to clean the bristles of the brush. For the guy who complained about being not allowed to dry inside if there is no line up then ok but if a line up starts then common sense prevails. In the winter time I try to go there an hour before closing usually by that time there is no line up and u have time to dry. The key for the dry inside especially in winter is to go off peak hours. Oh ya one car hand car wash I avoid are the one that charge u by the time inside then forget about drying inside it will cost u
CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT IF YOU PAY BY CARD!! I will never wash my car here again. I normally spend around $6- $8 when I come in(see my attached photo)- Just a quick soap and rinse. They installed a new payment system on the console where you can tap your debit or credit card- the one on the back is still there where you swipe your card, but this one is on the front so I started using this one. I took my car in a few days ago and noticed I was now charged $24 for the same wash and time spent. I was shocked. I looked at the one I did before that and it was $23. Since they installed this new payment system I think they are overcharging people. Be careful and check your card statements. I'll be disputing these transactions.
I went to wash my car first thing on a Sunday morning, when it was not busy at all. Somehow my car automatically locked with my keys inside, so I had to call me spouse to bring the spare set. Not a huge deal, we live in the area. When I went to tell the guy working, he grimaced at me like I was about to make him lose hundreds of dollars. There was no one even in the line up! He was blatantly annoyed, and insisted I hurry up and move my car....yeah, cause I meant to get locked out of my car and hang around a filthy car wash all day! Seriously. The complete lack of service is enough reason to never return, not to mention the unsanitary conditions and run down equipment. Terrible business, I do not recommend!
Not impressed at all today. There are signs everywhere that to enter one must be masked and yet the fella working there is wandering around unmasked as are some of the customers. If you are going to follow the public health orders as stated, and I assume you are given the signs, then your staff should also be following them and those not adhering to the terms that are clearly posted everywhere should be enforced. I spoke to the worker who just stated 'I just work here' and grinned through the whole conversation. My business will be taken elsewhere and I will share my thoughts on today's visit on my social media so others may make an informed decision.
I’ve been to this car wash a few times. There were times it ate my loonie and the wand didn’t work. So I would just put another loonie in. Today I went with my husband and the same thing happened. This time, he went to the employee to let him know it ate our loonie. The man checked the machine and didn’t find the loonie. He said “maybe you were just out of money.” My husband thought it was a joke at first but then realized the man/employee was serious. He was insinuating that we were trying to steal a loonie. Possibly some implicit racial bias at play since I am a person of color and my husband is Métis. I don’t feel safe going here.
I just spent 10 minutes waiting to get in the car wash and when I get in my ten dollars would not work in the change machines. So I went to the office to get change. I was told by the woman there she had no change. She told me to try the machines again and if that did not I should go to the store nearby and get change. I've always had no problem before getting change before when the machines would not except my money. Her attitude was that it wasn't her problem. I'm done with this carwash and won't be going there again. I've been going there weekly since I moved into the area. It's clear that they have no respect for their customers.
I went to wash my engine bay and get winter late grime off my SUV. I was there maybe 10 minutes, and got charged $25!!! I could have gone to Chamois for that price! And AT LEAST THOSE FOLKS do the inside too, and detail the vehicle!! The bay I had I could not read the timer/display at all, nor see HOW much the total was, nor get a receipt! It wasn't until I got home and checked my Visa to find a $25 charge! I called them at the "supposed" number and no answer yet they are open with 3 staff on! BAD service, total rip-off. Won't go back that is a certainty!
I went to wash my truck today, while hosing it down an employee came over with he owner on the phone threatening to send me a bill for cleaning the bay and cleaning the sewerline. There was maybe a shovel or 2 worth of mud on the ground that was washed down the grate with a quick swipe of the hose. The mat clips where broken. The stickers on the machine where coming off, and some wash setting where not working. I would not recommend going here unless you pre wash your car as the owner may also threaten you!
I use to come here all the time...not anymore. Idk what happened to this place but I just wasted my money for it to look the same as i brought it in. It seems the cut the time down alot and only got the front end done by the time it ran out. And the pressure of the guns couldnt even get little leaves and branches off the hood. Ask if i can at least get my money back to use it for another round to wash it but got refuse because the office was closed...horrible. Better to go to blondies on main st.
We won't be going back as we were shoo-ed out at 9:30PM by an employee. We asked to confirm the closing time and were told 9:30PM, however the online hours say 10:00PM. When we informed her of this she simply shrugged her shoulders and said nothing. No customer should be rushed out before closing hours. Not the way to run a successful business. I don't know what it is with businesses being unable to commit to their posted online hours. It's a huge inconvenience to deal with this descrepancy.
I frequent many car wash bays but usually go to my usual spots. Today I had an MPI damage assessment and was looking for a nearby car wash. By far the worst value out of the ones I have visited in the past. A loonie gets you the shortest time ever compared to the Petro I was just at. Not even a close comparison I wouldn't be surprised if it was a mere 60 seconds. I was shocked when the wand stopped. Save your money and find a spot that doesn't gouge you on the time cycles.
Today July 17/18 I went to wash my car at 7:15pm there was no attendant there at that moment when he came I told him that there’s barely any soap coming out of the wand and he just looked at me with a dumbfounded look! I don’t understand what he didn’t understand Anout me telling him there was barely any suds coming out I had to pay for this! ridiculous and he didn’t do nothing about it but walked away I live on McLeod and I will never step foot in that place again! Losers
DO NOT USE. I went here to wash my car and used my credit card, on the machine it let me know my charge was $4.25 and when I went to check my credit card statements I was charged $25.00. I went straight back to speak to the owner where he claimed that they charge $25 and that I will be reimbursed the $20.75 in 4 business days. After looking at more reviews I saw more people saying that they were overcharged as well. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM, I will never come back here again.
I was there around 930pm and the employee cleaning up the bays was spraying the debris under the dividers, which wouldn't have been a problem had he not been spraying in to the bay I was cleaning my car in, and he soaked my shoes, and my pants half way to my knees. When I asked him to stop he just looked at he and said, "you're gonna get wet it's a car wash". Wasn't super happy with that reply. Other than this one experience I've never had an issue here.
They dont follow the opening hours that has been posted on the website same thing with the closing time. I went there at 7:40 in the morning and its still close and waited till 8:30 (dec.10,2017) then i just went home because it is still close.then I also went late last time and its still not closing time and its close already. Other than the time thats not good the facility is good and well maintained. Hoping that they follow their hours of service.
Rip off. I used my credit card and it took $25 I didn’t even use the car wash I was too upset because the guy wasn’t helpful or friendly at all. I didn’t have my glasses on and had a hard time seeing the screen then he comes to help after the fact and tells me what I did wrong I pressed stop it said it charged me a $1 but my credit card statement says $25 I pressed stop because I was too frustrated and thought forget it but it charged anyway
Great wash however, I washed two cars this weekend. April 14th 2018. I used my credit card on both. Both were quick rinses. The first one showed $4.00 on the screen the second one showed $6.00. I was charged $9.95 on both. I did push the stop button so it wasnt a case of it just running. ****These were just preauthorizations. Normally I don’t see a charge like this. For example at a gas station but the charges were correct a week later.
Sadly Vacuum shop didn't work properly then I asked the man who worked there if he could do something about it then he said that it is what it is and that if the Vacuum didn't work it was people's fault cause people Vacuum dogs fur and that's why lol. I checked in and clearly this guy doesn't like to work and clean those Vacuum houses that by the way are disgusting. One star for customer service for sure.
Better signage how to pay using Interac where to stop the service confusing between credit card and onterac I pressed stop on the wash cycle and was charged 24$ for washing my cat that took 8 mins. Called and they indicated it was my fault for not pressing the correct stop button so maybe 2 more cars when in and used time on my expense thru interac...not happpy!!
Accidentally knocked the vacuum head off of the hose because i dropped it on the ground, old man started taking pictures of my car saying he caught me on camera taking it off??? I tried to ask him for help to begin with but he wasn’t present anywhere. He was extremely rude and swearing at me. ALSO charged me 50$, absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT GO HERE.
Nice large car wash that takes debit and loonies. 10 to 12 car bays with all the usual wash options, wait time isn't usually to long if its full, the staff tends to keep the bays clean regularly. Drying your car inside is not appreciated if they are busy, car was is the perfect business even surviving covid19 lockdowns.
So I used my credit card and hit the stop button at the end and it said 12$ is being charged. I check my TD app and they charged me 25$ !!! I called and no one answers. Guess I will call my credit card company. Before anyone asked I hit the stop button. It’s said 12$. Don’t use a credit card here. They rip you off
Place needs some major work all the hoses for the brushes leak and they need to recalibrate their coin machines seems to be getting worse & worse can’t even spray down one side of my truck on a loonie.!! I’m liking the new blondies wash at headmaster & Lag hope you read this. Owners of the blue whale.
The carwash is great to have close by home. The only problems that I experienced today was the cemet floor was very slippery and the length of time the water is coming out of the nozzle is way to short of time. I would recomend going to another carwash until these problems are changed.
High pressure hot water c/w soap brush wand and vacuums in each bay. Takes Loonies, debit tap and credit cards. Nice clean facility with space outside to wipe down your vehicle. Can also be done inside if it's not busy with cars waiting. It's my go to place for all my vehicles.
Frequented this location, appears to be family run. Owners do a good job running the place however could use some PR skills when dealing with customers and repair wash bays a bit quicker. This would keep the lineups down and not turn away so many potential customers.
Clean but found the vacuum very expensive and while there seemed to be a staff member there, he couldn’t be found when we needed him. Nice part was you could use your debit card for the wash and vacuum so didn’t have to have a lot of change.
Don't recommend if you have a truck. Both entrance and exit have stiff plastic flaps hanging down that hit the roof of the truck. Also, the bays seem small for a truck and the time you get for $1 is very short. Water was nice and hot though.
It's a fairly clean , well run wand car wash that seems to always be accesible with a no wait or limited wait times. There are more than 10 stalls so quick turnover ..the staff keeps the place clean by squeegeeing the floors frequently .
Old guy working there yelled at me and threatened to call the police because I was filling my windshield washer fluid and was there for "too long". Was there for 25 minutes max. Made my girlfriend extremely uncomfortable.
Tight parking lot with not a lot of room for drying. I feel like they have recently shortened the wash time. Other then that it does a normal job of washing, just be prepared to spend a couple extra dollars then others!
Just did a quick self serve car wash, I missed pressing the stop button when done, it was on about 2 minutes longer, it should not be a 19.41 charge on my credit card! it's the card ending with number 6543
i luv luv luv the car wash....always nice and clean. the owners are wonderful i wash my car and motorcycle. when its not busy....which is not often, they let u wipe your cars down id never go anywhere else
Don’t use the tap option! There’s no screen showing the amount, assuming the cost would only be a few $ and not having any coins, I tapped my card and they charged me 25$ for a few minutes of washing.
It's a good place to go for a car wash it has a really good wax. Do not use the spot-free rinse it makes the car really spotty LOL. Another good thing about this car wash is that it takes credit card
The equipment all works great and many bays to handle a large amount of clients. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed time has been shortened on each loonie and will be moving onto another car wash facility.
Been going here since 2010. Really good place, good time limit for coin operation, or just use your credit card. Great equipment. Gets busy sometimes, especially in the evening and after rush hour.
Pressure washers are high grade, can use coins or credit card for payment. Typically this wash costs me less than going through at a gas station and you get a better clean when you do it yourself.
Nice place. Not too busy later in the evening. They have a tap function but be sure to hit stop on the keepdad directly behind the dial you use to choose the setting or you get charged too much.
Clean facility... think the cycles maybe a little short... wax in the wax cycle is the best I've seen at a wand facility... really gives a shine and gets the water beading. Say Hi to Erika …
Great value and easy to use service. My only gripe is there is no way to dry your car unless you bring your own drying clothes and do it yourself. Still, I love having this place close to home.
Good place for getting your car wash. Just becarfull when using your credit card to pay for it. I didn't have cash with me and I used my credit card just wash the engine and I was charged $9
Its a wand wash. Your able to use Visa/MasterCard or Loonies. I personally like using a credit card. I can continually keep washing without having to plug in coins every couple of minute's.
Takes too long for the soap setting to get rid of the soap in the water. You waste half your rinse time soaping your car. Otherwise great water pressure and the brush has tons of foam.
Unbelievably stingy on the time you get per dollar. Bays are fine for the most part, but if you are paying by coin be prepared to keep feeding the machine every 30 seconds or so
Worse experience ever.. water pipe was leaking so I stopped the wash right away and still charged me $3 for it. Later I changed my Lane and did wash for 2 mins charged me $5..
Quick fast clean place to go . It would be great if the timing would be a bit longer but I understand it need to make money so it's still decent time for the money ratio
Good equipment, well kept and proper water/suds. Problem is they don't let you hand wash or use buckets. I hate using the brush to clean as they have debris inside.
Waited a long time and then the my debit card wasn't accepted. I asked if there was somewhere to get cash and there was not. First time there, won't be back.
good place to wash your car if you have CHANGE, if not you will be dinged like 9 dollars on your card for 3 bucks worth of work of what your loonie can get
Excellent upkeep of car wash hardware. The only complaints are the courtesy bathroom and lack of electronically controlled entry when the place is busy.
Very convenient use with credit or coin with high quality pressure washing nozzles. Peak hours may have a small line which usually moves pretty quickly.
Good lighting make it easier to get a good wash. I only use the soap setting to get the car clean. No need for the brush. Vacuum had decent power also.
I like that you can use your Visa! Just remember to "end" your as soon or you could get a LARGE bill. Especially if someone takes your spot after you!!
Spray wand in the holster is pointing at the customer while paying with credit card. As soon as you activate the water, it will spray you so watch out!
Great Car Wash, does a great job. And the best part is that you don't have to pay for the time your in the building. Like some other Car Washes.
It's busy here. It's more expensive than other places when you consider that $1 gets you half a min with the vac or pressure washer...if that
Always nice people working , great time for money and of course hot water when cleaning! I always go there to wash my car before a car show.
Place gives a decent wash but it's looking tired. That and the wands have a kink at the end and force the wand up making itiiring to hold.
Best do-it-yourself car wash in city. Hot rinse followed by spot-free spray = clean car for under $5. Don't need the foam brush--really.
It's a car wash. I am able to do a quick wash for $5. Lots of stalls and usually not a long wait to get in. Fyi, this is a self service.
Love this place , clean and friendly staff machine for change . Well priced for a car wash I can wash my small suv for 5.00. Bargin!!
The wand time per Looney was incredibly short, probably the shortest I've ever had. The place appeared to be in decent shape though
Always a good place to wash the vehicle. Always clean and operational except the odd issue with the credit card reader not working.
It's okay, nothing bad, my stall just had equipment that was Not In Service which isn't super helpful, but can't always be helped.
Bays are always clean and you always see staff walking about. Timing in bays seems to be off from time to time. No pun intended.
Always a good experience. Have been coming here for over 10 years. Never had a problem. New tap to pay function works great.
Good equipment fairly clean bays always seems to be open and has every thing you could have forgotten to bring for sale.
Do not use a credit card. They will overcharge you about $4 per minute. Avoid this place unless you have money to burn.
Decent handheld car wash. Can get busy which then causes a longer wait but usually cars roll through pretty steadily.
Great car wash , nice wands that are equipped with hoses that don't try to trip you , good pressure , good value .
Today march 25 Friday it’s already (07:12) it to be open at seven still not open no one is here waiting since 6:45
Large blgd. Easy payment method. Cash , credit card , etc Vacuums are less than stellar. The suction is poor .
I washed my car here and it came out shiny and I didn't blow through loonies either. Always my first choice
i really like going to the whale. they have large bays and their wands shoot lots of soap. price is good.
It's good to take your car for cleaning, but from other side its time are less then what you pay for.
Nice self service car wash, cheap, get to do it your way. Just recently repainted the entire interior
It's clean, I can get change in the office and I have never had a problem with the washing equipment.
I like this place! Great foam brush, open late hours. Vaccums work well. I enjoy the change machine.
Thank you, myself and my vehicle are very happy with the quality of the wash bays and service.
Basic coin-op self wash, but likely one of the cheapest in town. Takes coins and credit cards.
Good pressure and time for your money. Lighting is also decent which is needed in car wash!
It's my go-to location for car washes. Nothing fancy here but I have no complaints either.
Great carwash, today I washed my entire car for 5$ only. Definitely reccommend visiting
Always nice when you are waiting to give change even before you get a stall..great work
I used credit card and they charged me two times 25-25$ dont ever use credit card here
All season self-serv car wash. Foam brush is generous, but rinse is relatively short.
Always get my car washed here now, good equipment except the vacuums aren't the best
Great car wash.Gets busy every now and the but still best manual wash on east side!
Decent car wash for an older location, very clean and reasonable time for a looney
To wash and vac vehicle for resealable price is good. I paid $16 only for my SUV.
DIY car wash but the payments run out quickly most especially for big vehicles.
When using the credit card, push the right button at the end to stop the timer.
This is my favorite car wash shop... It's huge and you can pay via credit card!
Neighborhood "go to" car wash. Opens early. Usually able to towel dry indoors.
Decent. Accept credit cards or coin op. Good ratio of fresh to recycled water.
Great car wash for eating up your money. $1.00. = 60 seconds I'll never return
Nice to have tap instead of looking for change and not stopping when washing
Best value wand wash in the city. Bays are always kept clean. Great value!
