Before this visit to Toronto, I did not realize that a maze and a labyrinth were not the same, so having visited the Trinity Square Labyrinth I was intrigued to explore This maze on Toronto Islands. The maze is well done with wire fences and shrubs to prevent people for pushing through to cheat, so you really do have to find your way through. There is no actual explanation that you are supposed to get to the centre, so we just wandered through until we found ourselves back at the entrance, so a stated goal might be in order on a sign.
There is no exit in this maze, there is open platform at the center of the maze and the goal is to reach it. It is fairly simple maze but if you are alone and not with a group friends there is a very good chance you might get lost. It will be fun if you can play games in side the maze. You can split your team of friends into Cops and Robbers with one inside the maze and the other outside and try to catch them. It will be fun!!
A relatively small maze made of fences encased in a shrubbery. Well maintained. Good for small kids. Single entry / exit so you can watch for them as they can me out. Hint: follow the wall on your right/left and you're bound to reach the exit eventually :-)
It was fun. Not amazingly complicated but good. There can be more than one correct answer so try to get the biggest two (get there and you will know what I mean). Don't go randomly it is easy to remember. And when you go shut off the Google Maps ;)
This maze was not meany enough, it was too mini. We finished it within 13 mins: going and coming out. It’s good to play this with a group but you will be disappointed as it ends very fast. There are washrooms around here incase one needs.
Nice and fun but might be muddy when it rains.
Restrooms
Yes not far from there. There are several toilets on site.
Picnic area
There is grass next to it. You can have a picnic there and also reserve the BBQs in advance.
My first experience in a hedge maze. It was everything I expected. This one is great, small enough that you don’t have to worry about getting stuck but it’s still a bit of a challenge. Can’t wait to do it again!
On a nice day its worth taking the ferry ($5) to go to Center Island and see the views and eat funnel cake. All the stereotypical stuff to do including the little animal farm is actually quite fun
Great place for kids, they will love all the ride here! and is easy for the parents to watch over them. Also really well maintained place. Highly recommend this place for families.
The maze is limited but fun for kids. If people would not take a leak at dead ends it would be appreciated by all other users of the maze; washrooms are not far a way.
We weren't sure if there was a way out the other side or something we should have been looking for in the maze, but it was a lot of fun and very well constructed!
Fun for the kids. The shrubs used to make up the maze, need some help. The kids enjoyed it. Easy for parents to manage as there is a single exit/entrance point.
How good are you with remembering how you got somewhere or keeping track of directions as you make many turns? Here is a fun way to test that.
Is a nice relaxing place for the family. Kids will have a blast all day. Take lots of food even though treats are there as well as deli foods
Can be fun for some or really scary for others especially at night. Hidden in plain sight and certainly worth exploring for yourself.
Highlight of any kids visit.... As of August 2021 the maze could use some tlc... The fence has been destroyed in some spots...
A nice addition as part of the Center Island. Had a bit of a tough time finding a way out of the other end. Great fun for kids.
Very enjoyable to get lost in the maze. The one and only disappointment is the size of the maze. One can easily find the exist.
It's cool but not very well made you can see through the bushes, and in one spot the fence there is a gap you can go under.
This place is perfect for the little ones although I had a lot of fun as well, the maze is well maintained and is free...
It’s a small cute Maze in centre island of Toronto Island. Hardly it will take 2.5 min to find a way out in the maze.
"MARCO!", "POLO" with strangers pretty much summed up my experience. Fun for children and adults, absolutely free.
It was fun. Better to have something as reward in the middle of the maze, like a statue or something fun to play!
Fun place for big and small kids to play. If you enjoy just having a good time with the family, visit this place.
Fun maze, but watch for mud. We almost stepped on a few toads. Added bonus is the playground right beside it.
Interesting experience. Look very small from outside, but it’s not easy to get out. Very easy to get lost.
Not bad hedge maze. Not thick enough to make you claustrophobic but dense enough to have a fun time.
Amazing maze to go with friends! You'll get lost and that's ok. We are all lost in life after all.
It was fun, if you come with kids or dates that would be a fun day. Nothing special but fun
The maze is definitely fun. However, it does get a fairly muddy after the sprinklers run.
Amazingly designed Even an adult like me enjoyed But should had different entry and exit
Great spot to run around with the kids. Still haven't found the middle of the maze yet!
This is super cute! Although as two adults, was fun to laugh like a little kid again.
Our 3 year old loved it! Just 1 entrance /exit makes it safe if they get lost.
Using google maps satellite view to cheat is crazy …
Cool for the kids but lots of mosquitos for careful for the little kids.
My kid loved it more than the rides. It's free too! Great experience.
That was so much fun!!!! Great maze for everyone to go through!!!!
Love this maze. Really muddy on wet days..wear boots!
Pretty simple but entertaining for all age group!
Pretty fun but difficult maze. Many dead ends.
Not a goblet in sight, but still a good time.
Great place for kids, really easy for adults.
Fun for the family. Great park and splash pad
Great maze for kids. Don't get lost!
