William Street Park is a Brookwood neighborhood park. It has been refurbished and groomed to be a good place for families and friends to hangout, and enjoy a park that is within walking distance from from where we live. I've lived in the neighborhood for over fifty years. The park has a lot of space for soccer, frisbee, and pick up football games. It's a nice sceneric park close to home that the neighborhood greatly appreciates. Enjoy

This park is a hiker's dream come true! We requested a guided hiking adventure, and it exceeded our expectations. The knowledgeable guide shared fascinating insights about the local flora and fauna. The pristine trails, scenic vistas, and well-placed benches for resting were delightful. The cost was incredibly reasonable, and it's an outstanding value for the incredible experiences and memories created.

I just love this park! It's huge with great areas for running, playing soccer, and playing volleyball. I've jogged by myself, always see others jogging, and am usually greeted by happy doggies. Overall, the park's got a lot of life to it and it's always refreshing to visit it or just pass by. The pretty flowers, trees, and the way the sunlight filters through them are definitely a plus!

Really nice park with a huge lawn. Dogs are supposed to be on leash but many I saw when I visited were roaming free, which was ok since all of them as far as I know were well trained and well behaved. Plenty of picnic tables. It's in the middle of a residential neighborhood so the surroundings is very nice. It was flooded during last winter's storm, but it has since recovered nicely.

Cool park to hang out. There is a huge grass field which is empty most of the time, probably because there are a ton of pot holes and people can twist their ankles walking around in that grass. Also if you are a dog owner it has a doggy water fountain. In the very corner of the park there is a beautiful flower garden. I believe it is maintained by the community. They do a great job.

This park is Beautiful! This park is in San Jose California, roughly 10 minutes from San Jose State, I love the openness of this park, and all the beautiful trees, the bench& tables , it was so nice. I saw many people there walking their dogs on leashes, also a great neighborhood. Google William Street Park San Jose California, the next time you're near San Jose State area.

This park is nice and quiet! We just came here for a picnic today, but I've been here on multiple other occasions. Great for family or friend gatherings. Many people also bring their dogs. Lots of tree for shade around the outside and open area to run. There's also a lot of picnic benches and trash cans for your convenience. Also a good hammock spot at the back wooded part.

Almost 4 decades ago, my William Street Bombers played softball here. Our weekend playing here payed off eventually, with my Bombers winning a championship. Lots of great memories. I was the youngest on the team...13-17 years old, with the rest being Vietnam vets..late 20s on up... This is the first time in 3 decades, for me to be back in this park

  • Galaxy Monichon

A nice place to visit, but there are no restrooms and you'll literally be the only one here. Probably one of the least visited parks in San Jose. But, on the plus side, there are nice paths among the trees and if you walk across the bridge you can walk a good distance before you have to turn back.

  • Mira Roberts

Pretty park, but while I was there I witnessed someone beating and waterboarding their dog in the nearby stream. I called authorities but they didn't send anyone, so I yelled at the person beating their dog and they rode their bike away with their dog in tow. No one else seemed to care.

  • June Moss

Well kept lawns from debris and plenty of shade on hot days.
Dog-friendliness
There is a water fountain for dogs. Plenty of space for fetch or to just stretch their legs.
Picnic area
There are plenty of picnic tables, seating in shade, and areas to lay out on a blanket.

This is a very nice park near a friend's house. The neighborhood association helps put on Bark in the Park every year in September and that's how I know about this park. If you're a dog lover, look online next summer to see when the next Bark in the Park event is. So much fun!

Home of Bark In the Park, this hidden gem is great for a dog walk or strolling in a quiet area. It's lined by nice homes on a quiet street. There are plenty of trash cans and tables. Be sure to get the heck out before dark as the park does get a little sketchy at night.

  • Joyce Brennan

It's a good place to be in the soul got barbecue pits on the other side of wind Street Park and dog park and September 20th and September 21st they're going to Bark in the Park at William Street Park don't forget to bring your doggies over there three is a lot of fun

Around 15 yrs ago I had one of my best memories in this park . I was a kid back then just playing around with one of the best friends I have always had on my side. Lovely memories in this park thank you my friend my lovely friend fevi. Always fight for your dreams.

  • Lauren Delp

Lovely park. A good place for grounding and decompressing. Just lots of grass, some oak trees, tables with benches, and plenty chances to people watch, soccer watch, dog people watch, family friendly, and if you time it right, lots of inquisitive dragonflies.

  • theodore

William Street Park is a nice place to go for a walk, with your dog, on a picnic, anything. There's a trail nearby, along the creek, and there's plenty of space. There's usually quite a lot of dogs there, so if you've got one it'll have others to play with.

  • Jeannie Felix

William Street Park is cute but a little bit sad due to the recent flood from Coyote Creek. Improvements are slowly being done but it's going to be a while before it's fixed. I will give it a better rating later once the park is cleaned up and fixed.

  • Larry S

If you dont mind the occasional vagrant and sometimes random people smoking pot in their cars (nothing like crazy St James park downtown). This park is rather nice, with lots of grass and pretty trees. No facilities. Popular place for dogs

  • Michele Don Durbin

Amazing local park for the Naglee Park neighborhood and surrounding homes. Dogs in the morning. Families during the day. Lots of local clubs come for soccer or volleyball and picnic tables for parties outside in the shade.

  • Cheryl W

Neighborhood is much better than it used to be! We were there for bark in the park. The event is very big now! Food truck wasn't very good. Would do a different one next time (food was very expensive, too!) park is nice.

  • Abraham Saldaña

A simple and nice park but the nearby creek is inhabited by a large homeless camp. Most of the time the people there are harmless but once and a while some can be aggressive. Stay away from the creek and you'll be fine.

  • Luis Medina (COACHMETONY)

Nice and peaceful. I will go there to throw the ball around or just chill. Nice park. Not really for kids being that there is no play ground. You would have to cross the small bridge to go to the playground.

  • Patricia Perez

They have Bark in the Park it was very nice to walk around and see all the neighbors and the different dogs getting together and having fun it was a great day and a great place

  • Christopher Racine

Though recently ravaged by the flood this is still a beautiful, quiet & safe park that is in a nice historic neighborhood. I come here often to have lunch and read for awhile.

  • Claudia Robles

It's good place for kids. Down side homeless people down in the river and hanging out in the park. Don't come here at night!!! You don't want to see what things hand around.

  • Henry Wang

The park is spacious with a big green grass area. Many people walk their dogs there. The lawn is well mentioned. There is a bridge connects this park to another playground.

  • Brea Morales

The grass is a little muddy, considering the current weather conditions. Also be careful of dog droppings. This park is known to have many dogs running around off leash.

  • NARAYANI TYAGI

The walk around the park itself is really beautiful. The park usually has a lot of people there who are walking their dogs and honestly that's a huge plus point for me

  • Shawnee

Beautiful park in an older neighborhood in Downtown San Jose. It's nice to drive around and see how beautiful the older houses are in the area, nice peaceful park.

  • Lola

Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Niceish park. The closer you get to the creek, the more it smells. I'd rather walk/run in the neighborhood than the park. 2.5 stars

  • Lani Dias Blackstad

This was an excellent park to visit very quiet & great part of the neighborhood. Only downfall there are no restrooms. But will definitely go again to relax.

  • Robert Baeza

Day time it's alright to exercise your pets as long as you are on the move but at night not good there are wonder walking in the dark doing what I won't say!

  • Bobbie Jean Kilby

  • David C o l l i n g e

Great place to have BBQ. And very nice place to bring your dogs. Please remember to adhere to the leash laws set in place by the state of California

  • Cristina Padilla Monroy

So many homeless destroying the trees saw some burned, and the river looks bad, dirty all over the place, they have a dumper but seems they ignore.

  • Michelle Meert

Great street parking options, free. Nice flowers and succulents to admire. Paved path goes through 2 school areas. Lots of activity. Safe.

  • Amit Kumar Chakraborty

Very calm and quiet. One can pass leisure for some part of the day amongst funny activities of Squirrels, small birds and dog training.

  • Amy F

Huge open field with lots of shady trees to rest under. Paths around perimeter and going off out of park. Perfect place to walk my dog!

  • Mary C

Nice park with lots of mature trees. My favorite event is Bark in the Park (San Jose's biggest dog event) held annually in September.

  • Evan Astle

Great daytime park! Plenty of benches, a big wide open field, and trees to picnic under. Just be a little more careful here ar night.

  • MARCOS Garza

Because the grass is growing a lot and there are many wholes. I'm been living in san Jose for 35 years and used to be much better.

  • GAVIOTA 80

It would be nice if was kept clean , more garbage cans around so ppl understand to use them. And the trail needs major cleaning.

  • Damon Amyx

Beautiful little park nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room for playing frisbee or with your dog or having a picnic.

  • Larry

Used to be a great park with nice lawn and clean. Now a weed patch full of gopher holes and trash. Still good for dog walking

  • Baux The

Great park to take your dog to. It's not fenced in but a lot of people take their dogs off leash any way. I love the place.

  • B Sandher

This park is a little scary at night. The park is good for dogs, they have fountains on the ground so your dog can drink.

  • Tai Groot

Many homeless people live here. The ones I've met are nice to you if you are nice to them. Not somewhere I'd bring kids.
