I hadn't been here in a long time and I was disappointed in my two visits this week. I don't know if it was because of the holidays or if it is usually this way but this location is very slow. It looks like there are only three employees working. On my first visit the woman in front of me, in line, just left. When I finally was able to order two coffees and two baked goods we were given a number and sent to find a seat. It took forever, there were numbers on lot of the tables with people obviously waiting. The second visit was almost the same, but this time we were given our drinks and had to wait for our baked goods. The treats came as we were finishing up our drinks. I also know it is winter and floors get dirty, but when they decided to mop the floor they used some cleaner that set my allergies off. I had to get out of there fast. I don't blame the staff, there just is not enough of them. At the much smaller Starbucks in the Indigo had more employees working. Starbucks does not have as wide or complicated menu. The other Williams on Appleby closed about a year ago, I hope that this location can improve. They are beside a Cineplex and should have a healthy amount of customers.
Just had one a of the worse customer experiences for a long time. We wanted an interesting latte to celebrate our day. We found Williams had some neat ones on their website. So we called and ordered. After having to repeat our order to the person on the phone 3 times and giving them our phone number they told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. We drive 10 minutes to go get them, wait in the car for 5 minutes and go in. They tried to give us the lattes that are boring we could have got anywhere - a plain one and a caramel one. My son took the caramel one for me even though it wasn't what we ordered. To add insult to injury the latte was a plain latte. When I called to complain the manager I got excuses about their head office changing the menu. No accountability that they didn't tell us when they took the order and didn't call us. He offered to give me a latte to replace the one I got. Really, that's what you call customer service? I wouldn't ever order something online from them. You risk driving there to find out that they don't have what you ordered. Rotten service.
I am giving this a one star as the staff was very good the meal was another story. I ordered a sandwich Turkey cheese apple on a bun. It was so dry and cold as if it had been made ahead in the fridge. I took it back I told them I would have it on a bagel toasted. Well it was toasted but the chicken and cheese and apple was some how warm the cheese melted I think they heated it the microwave not really sure but by far terrible again I ate half but decided last visit here not only my meal was bad my husband had the French onion soup it had a blob of cheese the size of a loonie in the middle once again complained they took it away put a slice of cheese on top and microwaved it also. He could give you a much better receipe. I think you need to put a lot of work to keep up to some of the other places we have been to. It was our first and last visit. For 18.00 no drinks by far stay away from this place. Oh yes the bathroom issue that you were going to address by another complaint, well still not flushing.
The food and drink is really good here, however the service is absolutely horrible and has been every single time I've been here. There were 3 people in front of me and I waited half an hour to get my order taken! I had only ordered a latte and it then took a subsequent 20 minutes for the drink to come to my table. It was not busy at all and while I was waiting for my drink, I watched two members of staff talking at the front for at least 10 minutes before they dispersed. I saw the girl behind the counter bring out my latte and completely miss the table I was at (with the order number on the table, may I add) and go back behind the counter, where she then started to drink the coffee. I wasn't sure if it was mine so I waited a bit longer until I got up and went to the counter asking for my drink. She then apologized and said she threw out the drink thinking that I had left which was clearly not the case. If you are looking for fast service/in any sort of time crunch I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
As much as I would like to give it more stars, even 3 stars is a bit pushing it! We stopped at this location with my son, on our way out of town to get a coffee and a soft drink. We were the only people in line, the order was taken, we were given a number and then told to wait. And we did wait... and wait... and wait. After over 10 minutes, I asked how long are we still suppose to wait? After all, we only ordered a couple of drinks, that shouldn't take more than a few minutes to make. We were told the drinks are coming up... It took another 5 minutes before we were served. Honestly, as much as I like their coffee, I really don't have 15 minutes to waste waiting for a beverage that other places serve in less than 1 minute. If there would have been a line up, maybe that would justify the wait time, but otherwise, these guys should really get their act together!!! Unless you got plenty time on your hands, I wouldn't advise you use this location.
I don't like complaining, nor do I ever give bad reviews due to fact it may just be an off day... However the older male Owner's attitude towards my asking why is it that I have to pay more money just for hot water added to a 1 tea bag cup of tea was downright -dismissive -deplorable -and disrespectful to the point where even when I tried to get an explanation for his attitude, he maintained a staunch air of disrespect, turned his back on me, & went back about his business. I've actually been going there for years (through, numerous different owners), and never had an issue or problem - but this was enough for Me, NEVER to go back, and also let ALL in my extensive circle exactly what type of disgusting temperament & attitude you'll receive if a question to difficult to answer, is asked.

Tonight was my very first visit. Although the staff seemed nice and I initially was thinking of definitely coming back, I will not be returning here again. I ordered a Latte and requested Almond Milk (as I am allergic to cow's milk). When the drink was being handed to me I asked the worker again if it was made with Almond milk and she confirmed it was. I began drinking it on the way home and realized it was made with regular cow's milk. Thankfully I only got through a quarter of the drink before realizing but I still have a reaction from it. Good thing my reaction is not severe, but I still wasted money. I understand workers being tired and wanting to start cleaning up and getting ready for closing. However, do not lie to customers about ingredients when it could be life threatening.
Went to Williams at 1250 Brant street in the Burlington Power Center this is the second time we had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for the coffee. The first time it took 20 minutes for a regular coffee and last night it took over half an hour for a small hot chocolate for a child. NEVER have I ever experienced worse customer service from a place that certainly overcharges for their product. I found it funny the staff had time to chat with each other and serve other people coffee's and ice water but were unable to make a child's hot chocolate within half an hour. Disgusting. They had the most ignorant workers. Never will I give my business to them ever again. There is a Tim Horton's down the street from them I suggest you go there if you want decent prices and wait times.
The staff were great. They were friendly, made me feel welcome and were more than willing to help explain the menu items. I ordered the Rubin sandwich. It was good, but a little soggy on the bottom, but that was likely from the sauerkraut. The interior itself was depressingly dark and dated. We couldn't wait to leave. I know it's a cafe, but there was no warmth. The decor was very generic and almost hostile. It's not a place I would like to being my friends for an afternoon out, which is a shame, because the food is really good. I'm not sure of the look the desiger was going for, but it feels more "Highway reststop" than a cafe. Once again, the staff were wonderful and were the saving grace of my visit
It was some hot day and my queen had a hankering for something cold to drink...well as we know Williams from many different visits... There were milkshakes just yearning to be down our seniors throats....we opened up throats to absolutely delicious drinks.... beautiful experience...oh yes there is a new improved ordering system happening. Well the phone is now available easily to connect with Williams. More good news, the techie guy and several staff members loaded the system for us.. no grandbabies around and Williams' family of good customer relations sure was evident.. a good time, a fine experience? Absolutely...yes we love Williams...welcome back
Got a chicken Caesar wrap and an iced coffee, the wrap came with a side of creamy coleslaw and a half pickle sliced length wise, the wrap was loaded with chicken which was nice and tender not dry or over cooked, the Caesar dressing used is delicious, the coleslaw was not overly acidic and was nice and crunch, the coffee I got was pretty standard but definitely better than McDonalds wasn't able to pick out the flavor shots of coconut and vanilla but it was nice and sweet

Absolutely the worst service possible! I asked for a cappuccino I get given a latte, not a big deal I brought it back then the owner came over and started getting aggressive with me for no reason at all, I get served cold food and decided that we would go somewhere else, the owner tells me a I am abusing her staff when I spoke to her directly and then has the nerve to tell my husband she feels sorry for him when I never raised my voice, swore or was aggressive at all, I simply stated I didn’t want to eat cold food I payed $20 for, I wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star!!!! Absolutely disgusting ownership
So I show up with my 5 month old puppy hoping to get some food on the patio I'm told I can sit on the patio as long as my dog doesn't disturb anyone. I'm left there for 25 minutes in the heat so finally I ask why i didn't get service or even a bowl of water for my dog. Sorry we don't do table service here. Or apparently bring water to puppies , or bring out a menu or maybe let the customer know he has to come in and leave his puppy tied up outside. Unfriendly is one thing but really a little water for a dog. Ad this place to very pet unfriendly

A great place to go for a relaxed Saturday breakie. I love the ambience of this particular Williams location. Nice comfy booths and the staff are smiling and so friendly. It’s within budget for breakfast and my egg platter came out nice and hot—steaming, in fact. Oh, and coffee in their big mugs—awesome. There’s no hurry to leave. Just chillin with my hubby and son and enjoying a good meal and conversation on a rainy Saturday morning.

Terrible service! After waiting for almost 25 minutes for a standard salad (which I was over-charged for), I had the temerity to approach the service kitchen counter to ask about my order. I was told to "SIT DOWN, NOT TO MAKE A SCENE" and they would bring the salad to my table. At this point my companion had finished their lunch. Another 10 minutes later and my salad was practically thrown down on the table in front of me with the owner/manager stalking off in a tiff! Horrible since management and menu change! Food is nothing worth going there for!
Walked in here with my family. The cashier was sitting on a table with friends socializing. We were looking through the dessert area which had 3 desserts left. The cashier came to us and rather than greeting continued onto attending her personal phone. Disappointed we headed to Demitris next door. As we walked out of the place the cashiers friends sarcastically said "have a nice day". Hands down the worst experience and a place run by a bunch of kids If the owners care to check this happened at approximately 3.40pm on Saturday March 5
Terrible service, sullen and combative staff. Waited 10 minutes before being served and then treated like a felon because I had to get more change from my purse. I don't understand how an establishment can leave the customer area totally unattended, not responding to shouts of "hello, there are customers here". Two others in front of me who had obviously been waiting longer gave up and left. Then I was treated to this surly unpleasant person, who had the audacity to expect a tip! Out of business in less than a month.
This cafe is a gem! The menu has a fantastic selection of food, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend this cafe - it's a must-visit!

Stopped by for a quick coffee and decided to grab a bite to eat. The chicken pesto sandwich was so delicious and all made fresh. We also had a chocolate twist pastry that was absolutely delicious. The coffee is great as usual... the staff was so friendly, happy and so pleasant. We did not realize that they were closing and the owner herself came to us and said please stay even though we are closing. :)

Staff was nice, but they say on the menu "vegan options available", but the woman helping us at cash didn't seem to know anything about it. It was disappointing since it says there are options when there doesn't seem to be any. I was with a group of friends, so it was a bit awkward just getting black coffee and no food. I hoped for one option, a muffin, something. Advertisement was misleading. Not the place to go for those looking for vegan food/options with friends.
I went in with my parents who ordered 2 black coffees and 2 pastries. I ordered a cappuccino, which never appeared after 20 minutes so I went to the counter to look for it. It arrived about 5 minutes after that stone cold, as if it had been in the refrigerator. My parents had long finished theirs, which they said was very good, as were their pastries. The replacement cappuccino was warm at best, but probably would have been good if it was hot.
I was hoping this would be my new go to cafe, since I’m new in town. Service started off good, until I was verbally assaulted by one of the servers for forgetting to ask for almond milk in a drink. I had offered to pay for a new one. The manager I spoke to was very rude and condescending. He sits out in the open with a mess on his table. Still very distraught with how I was treated.

My friend and I met for lunch today and we both enjoyed our meal. My friend had the signature salad and I had a chicken caesar wrap - both were tasty, well presented and worth the money. My coffee was excellent, as Williams' coffee always is, and my friend really enjoyed her tea. We stayed long enough to need a mid-afternoon snack, and the chocolate shake was great. The staff are friendly and efficient, and obviously enjoy their work.
If you order iced coffee beware it comes insanely sweet, you have to specify you don't want sugar or sweetener, even though the description says nothing about that. No problem I would know for next time, except that when I asked about it the manager said it was my fault and they aren't doing anything about it. Mistakes happen but bad management and no customer service isn't a way to ensure you have returning customers.
Always inconsistent. The food is tasty but is never the same in terms of quantity and presentation. Just got home and half our order was wrong. Our fault for not checking but the front end staff are always so nice and seem to have it together we just trusted they had it right. The kitchen on the other hand is the exact opposite. The managers need to pay closer attention to the product being delivered. Not impressed.
Went mid-morning on a Saturday and ordered a cappuccino and croissant to stay. After 20 minutes, I had to go to the counter and practically beg to get someone's attention to find out why my coffee still hadn't arrived. It wasn't particularly busy, so I'll chalk it down to unorganized. They either forgot my order or failed to prioritise a coffee over all of the kitchen orders that had them running around in chaos.
We had soup of day which was Spicey Thai and grilled cheese both excellent as we had a combo got a deduction coffee is always good. There are so few cafes like this in Burlington other than the usual fast food outlets Williams has such a varied menu and the desserts lok fabulous.

Really like this place. Food is pretty good for the price range, staff is super friendly, and somehow it feels cozy even though it's a fair size and quite an open space. I usually go there with a couple of friends and it usually costs us about $40-$50 (without dessert). Considering that it costs me $25-$30 for junk food for two at the movies, $40-$50 for good food for three is a much better deal .
My daughter ordered food for me from this Cafe when I was sick and unable to get out. It was delicious and I had no idea the cafe was so close to me. I've been there a few times since and I love the food. Had a smoothie and it was delicious and the price was decent today I'm going there for the soup and sandwich on my way home from shopping.

Ordered a pick up from door dash on the app. App let me put in order and then I drove to pick up my order. They told me they don’t do door dash there and that at 8:30, the kitchen was closed so I couldn’t even order the sandwich I wanted. As I was leaving, there is door dash sign on the door. Also, they close at 10 but the kitchen is closed at 8:30?? Used to like the sandwiches but never again.
Four staff sitting around on their phones when I came in. Ordered 2 sandwiches, still no food after 20 minute wait. I asked to cancel my second sandwich (hungry kid waiting in the car!). The sandwich I actually got (turkey club) was soggy, globs of mayo, cold meat. Overall terrible service, food quality, and no supervision over staff, who appear very young and unprofessional.
This place is really cute. We like the menu options, which seem healthy and freshly prepared. Love the coffee. The ham & cheese quiche and French onion soup are delicious choices. I like that you just pay at the counter and get a table number - makes for quick service, and they bring the food to you. Nice little sit-down place, less franchise-y than Sunset Grill or Eggsmart.
My wife and I met there yesterday for a mid afternoon lunch date. We had the roasted red pepper tomato bisque, it was excellent. I also enjoyed their Druxy's classic corned beef sandwich.

Place is alright. Mostly because the store is confusing. They put the milk in. But you put the sugar. Just leave the milk and sugar on the counter, makes orders much faster then guessing how much milk they want. Coffee was good. Space is large. Tables are with power cables. Not too noisy so it's good for meetings but also easy to overhear due to way seats are arranged.
They served me raw pastry. I was super hungry so I proceeded to eating most of it. The center piece was inedible so I finally told a server and she told the manager. They did nothing to make it right. Their excuse was that I have ate most of it and I should have told them before eating it. Yes! I should not have ate it because now my stomach is churning.
The staff here are very friendly and polite and the coffee/ food is always of good quality. The only negative thing I have to say is that the overall appearance of the floors is untidy and dirty, even early in the day! It's obvious that they seldom get cleaned!! Washrooms were untidy with garbage cans overflowing and toilet paper all over the floor.
New winter hours are till 8pm during the week. Arrived at 7:30 and the place was fairly busy. Ordered a coffee to stay only to be told we are closing at 8 after I say down. What kind of business has that kind of crowd on a weeknight and tells everybody they're closing and to leave? Won't be going back there again during the week
Went to this Williams with 3 friends for dinner before the show. Ordered , items were good but had no deserts . Washroom and store was filthy, when told the young staff that the washroom needed ‘attention’ I knew she wasn’t going to do anything. You know it’s nice but sometimes you need some mature staff to run your business.
Got the mango chicken rice box and was very happy with it! Soup was also excellent. Felt satisfied the food met the price and you can tell the women who work here take pride in the food and establishment. Proudly Canadian and the fact that everything was edible, recyclable or compatible is a big plus for me. Thank you!

Service great, staff friendly, food INEDIBLY DISGUSTING. I had to actually ask for my money back, which as a British-Canadian I absolutely NEVER do because I’m too polite. But when your mac and cheese is sitting in a literal puddle of oil, revulsion takes over. Fortunately the staff refunded my money without question!
Ordered the chicken pesto sandwich yesterday and ended up getting food poisoning. Sandwich was drenched in pesto and goat cheese, luckily there were only 3 small strips of chicken on each side or the sickness would have been a lot worse!

I was so excited to see it was open even during these times! Its safe and clean with plastic dividers between each table! Even while just drinking my coffee and studying at their tables I saw staff constantly wiping down tables even if they were clean! Such a great place especially in these unprecedented times!
The lady behind the counter wasn't very pleasant to deal with and the food and coffee are mediocre at best. For what you get it is super overpriced. The chicken in bowls is colourless and has no flavour whatsoever. You could get a decent meal at a restaurant for the same price that is actually cooked properly.
Definitely a 5/5. I come here often on Saturday mornings and am always greeted so positively by the staff. I often see Sophia, who always greets me with a smile and knows my regular order. Her positivity always kicks off my day to a great start. I would definitely suggest this cafe to my friends and family !
I ate here about 4 years ago and it was good. I tried it again today and was disappointed. I had their Turkey club special, only they didn't have any Turkey yet advertised as their special. It was to come with a side of potato wedges, but they didnt have potatoes. Attached to the cafe, is a grocery store.
From reading these reviews, and seeing the passive aggressive comments from "Evah" in reply to people's very real and unpleasant experiences and insinuating that it's their problem, not William's, is the main reason why I will not be going to this location. That's just not how customer service is done.
I ordered the corn beef sandwich. I was very disappointed with the quality of the corn beef. It was very dry and gummy. For the price you pay, it's not worth it ($11). Its a small portion. It comes with a side of coleslaw but they had ran out and they gave me some arugula with oil. Service was slow.

We went to this cafe spontaneously over the lunch hour and we found it just amazing!! They have multiple healthy options for lunch or snack along with a great coffee. We ordered one of their flavored latte and it was heavenly. Giving five stars to this cafe.. Positively recommended!!
Very nice cafe with great food options. They are still open during pandemic. Went there for a coffee and a bite. They are very careful and thoughtful during this pandemic and felt pretty safe. Coffee was amazing and food was delicious too. Definitely will go there again to unwind.
Great service, nice cozy atmosphere. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Asked one of the staff a question about the desserts and she explained each one in detail - so helpful! Really nice to see staff show enthusiasm and interest for their work. Will definitely be back!

Disorganized. Incredibly long wait. Placing a simple order was like pulling teeth. There's a strong reason as to why skip the dishes stopped serving Williams. Do NOT waste your lunch break on the line up and disorganization of this place. Not worth it .
It wasn't bad, however we walked by 4 dirty tables with people's dishes laying around on them still, until we found a spot to sit. I ordered a large hot beverage in a 'to-go' cup, but they charged and served me a 'for here' mug, medium size...weird

I come in here to study pretty frequently, and I've never had a bad experience! It gets pretty busy in here at lunch on the weekdays, so service can be a bit slow -- but the food is very good and the service is friendly, even on the busiest

Great sandwich, salads and coffee selection. Did not like the brownie I was served. Tasted more like chocolate cake. Brownies are supposed to be dense. I wasn't impressed with their breakfast either. My daughter loves their ceasar salad

My sunshine bowl was missing the avacodo and orange. None of the staff seemed very confident in their abilities. No allergen knowledge. Long wait time. For the price and wait time I would of enjoyed getting what I ordered.
They're doing an excellent job of ensuring you can have a good experience dinning in. Full proper checking vaccination (QR + ID), same lovely service as pre-pandemic. Thank you, starting to feel relatively normal again.
Food was great but I was disappointed to see how the two older ladies talked to their staff. They seemed very grumpy and unnecessarily gruff with them. I suspect there is a fast turnover of staff at this café.
Service was fine, but if I was the manager of this coffee place I would probably make sure my staff is not eating behind the counter and definitely not stilling on places that food gets prepped.
A little busy inside and out. Cakes and cookies all look great. Our coffees were hot but not HOT. Vaccine and IDs requested, making and spacing respected. (No mask while eating, drinking)
Food and coffee really good! Line ups can be a little slow when it gets busy sometimes. Service has been quite friendly though. Place is kept very clean! I've always enjoyed going here.
A nice spot to grab a decent coffee and enjoy it quietly. Staff were friendly, the place was clean and quite, and the coffee was pretty good. Will be frequenting this place more often.
I was meeting a friend for lunch at Williams and I was delighted to find their vegan option, wrap. It was delicious. The coleslaw on the side was a nice touch. This wrap was great.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Place is clean, staff are nice. The bread was fresh on my western. Would recommend. More
