I had a fantastic experience at Willow Park Wines. It was a very hot day when I went there and I didn't want to leave my dog in the car, so I went to tie her up in the shade outside the store. A staff member saw me and said my dog was welcome to come inside the store. That was great. Once inside, another staffer came to pet Jamie and offered her a treat. Another fellow came to say hello and give Jamie a scratch behind the ears. I asked where I could find the non-alcoholic drinks and another team member cheerfully guided me there, explained what was there and even recommended some that I could try. He asked if I needed anything else and I asked where the non-alcoholic beer was. He said he would go and bring me the brand I was looking for. It didn't end there. At the checkout, the gal quickly signed me up to the "club" and explained how it worked. I left the store feeling terrific. What an awesome shopping experience! We'll certainly be back!

Update, Thank you for taking care of the situation, and refunding the purchase. I have changed my review to 5 stars. Please try to arrange for a better temperature controlled shipper like ATS or just advise to delay sending out. I know Alberta is cold -20C or higher during the Christmas holidays, but as a wine store you would know to call and ask if I needed the wine urgently or offer to send out later when the temperatures are more decent for wine to be sent. Well, Willow park Wine store, they did not. I ordered 15 bottles of good California wine about $50/bottle at their online store, paid for shipping $48 to Vancouver. For that price, you would think it should be temperature controlled shipping, but they didn't! As seen in the photos, Every single bottle lost it's air tight seal. $800 of wine ruined. This is the worst and terrible experience I have had with an online order.

Very good selection of wine, spirits and beers, BUT, some of the floor staff seriously need an attitude adjustment. I will be generous and say that the gentleman I spoke to was ill informed about a specific rum I was looking for. Stated that it was “no longer sold in Canada”, something I knew to be incorrect. Before I could question him on this, he had walked away to schmooze with a couple he obviously new. Quite unprofessional in my opinion. I spoke to a very professional lady about this, and she confirmed it was still sold in Canada/Alberta. I had the feeling spirits, was not his specific “department”, and it was under him to speak to me. I’ve attended several rather expensive events at Willow Park over the years, and this has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

I went to the store to buy an expensive bottle of scotch for my fathers birthday, him being Scottish means that I ended up getting a bottle worth over $100. Was very happy with my selection but then accidentally dropped the bottle at home and the whole bottle emptied on to the pavement!! Luckily I took it back and asked if they would be kind enough to replace it? No, hassle at all, took one look at the top to make sure it hadn’t been opened and instantly gave me a new one!! Couldn’t have been happier with the service. As always the staff there are very knowledgeable and kind, always a great selection and saved me from having to spend more money than I really had. Thank you for making sure my 60+ year old Scottish dad gets to celebrate his birthday in style.

First time to the store … first impressions the has a good variety liquors, whiskey, scotch and wine … We where there to attend summer beer festival We wondered around up stair before the event.. when I asked where event with be held the staff members rudely said the lineup with by the stair … The summer beer festival had nice snacks and some hot foods .. the room was very hot no AC … we stay 8:30am and it was just too hot … We when back upstairs to purchase some eau distillery ice tea, grizzly paw pop, vodkamow, beer … The upstairs staff was not very friendly or welcoming… the guy at the cash was not very friendly too … maybe some customer service skill classes and some training would help to get the staff to more friendly and welcoming…

My recent experience at Willow Park Wines and Spirits was extremely disappointing. The customer service was far from friendly, and the sample booth representatives refused to offer samples, making it seem like a discriminatory act based on racial assumptions. This kind of behavior is not only disheartening but completely unacceptable. Although I observed a diverse collection of products, the pricing was noticeably higher compared to Ace Liquor. The negative encounters overshadowed any potential positives, leaving me with a profound sense of disappointment. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers.

I have been a customer here for many years because they have earned my business time and again with their amazing expertise and selection. The staff are second to none, there is always an expert close at hand who will help you make an informed choice no matter what you are looking for and service is always with a smile. Other reviewers have mentioned you pay a little more here, but it is worth every penny for the investment in expertise and the wide selection of premium wine, beers, spirits and events. I encourage anyone who has not been here to give it a try, truly a landmark business on the Calgary landscape.

Amazing prices, fantastic selection and very courteous knowledgeable staff. The gentleman that helped me on my scotch selection recommended a bottle of Glengoyne 18 year old at $95 on sale. He said at that price you’ll never find a better value scotch, stock up. He was so right. Delicious scotch and I should have bought four bottles at that price. Always a pleasure dealing with a local business that employees people who are not only very good at their jobs but love doing it. The best premium liquor store in Calgary, actually the best I’ve ever been in.

My wife and I found out about this place through a work friend. We visited months ago to pick up a few simple items but discovered they have a great wine cellar selection. We knew we wanted to come back specifically to spend time picking out a special bottle. Today was that day and we are very pleased. The staff member that helped us out was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and passionate about wine. He kept us within budget and we will definitely be returning once our bottles are finished!

Prepare to be amazed while shopping here! The layout is pristine, team members are phenomenal, and the store is so vast that it needs a map. Upon first entering, there is an entire cocktail accessory department, followed by a multitude of spirits that work to highlight these pieces. The perimeter of the building houses dozens of beer fridges. Ask for Don! He gave me the recommendation for my favourite session IPA to date, and provided an all around 10 star experience.

The wine and beer selections are 1 of the best in Calgary. The staff are some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable. I have never walked into that store without someone offering to help me with my selections. The free tasting events are a brilliant way to try different products before you purchase, and there are often mark-down prices for those featured bottles. Going to this store is like a field trip for adults- take some time to check it out for yourself...

Possibly the best selection in town! What a store!! Truly an experience. The staff are well trained and they have experts in store as well. You can get recommendations for food pairings with your favourite wines or wine pairings with your favourite foods! You have the regular everyday products and then you have the crème de la crème of products. Everything for every taste. I do feel that a lot of their prices are above average. Hence the 4 stars

These guys are total pro and this is by far the best liquor store in Calgary hands down. Not only do they have a huge selection of everything, the also have the product knowledge to go along with it. Dave is always available to talk about the various spirits and not only has he tried them but he can also make amazing recommendations based on the flavor notes you enjoy. I just wish I was closer to their store as I would frequent more often.

I’ve ordered 2 bottles of Georgian wine. Came to pick my order up today. Good that I looked in the bag before I left the store. 1 bottle was a cheaper brand of Kindzmarauli wine I’ve ordered. The second one was a completely different wine that I haven’t ordered. Turns out, they ran out of the second wine, and just decided to replace it with whatever wine they’ve had in stock. Awful experience!!! I am very disappointed!

Willow Park Wines and Spirits has a great selection of wine, beer and spirits. If you're looking for something special, there's a pretty good chance you'll find it here. The staff here are very knowledgeable and friendly. It is a little pricey but if you keep your eye out for their specials you will find a lot of items at a good price. Join the cellar club to give yourself access to the good deals.

First visit was great really helpful staff. Older gentlemen with glasses. Second visit literally opposite experience. Filipino guy with glasses wasn't helpful at all.... Asked if there's anymore of a specific scotch, he just shrugs and says it's sold out... Looks back at his phone and hovers behind me. Next time try to be more helpful and not a weirdo creep. Don't want to be at work? Just quit.

The selection here is unreal. If you are looking for something, chances are they have it. The store is very well set up, and it's very easy to find what you are looking for. The staff are friendly, and there are lots of taste testing booths set up throughout the store. The staff are super helpful when answering questions, and create a very great environment to shop in. Great store for abit of everything and more than average selection of very good whiskeys, craft beers and Asain alcohol. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, proactive to help without being pushy or intimidating. We always have fun here picking out a new bottle of this or that to try. Friendly engaging staff with great wine and whiskey selection. 10/10 for customer service. It seems there is always someone on standby to ask if you need help or offer suggestions. Loses a star because the craft beer selection is not great. The variety does not seem nearly as well thought out as the rest of the offerings at the store and the coolers always seem half stocked.

This liquor store has an extraordinary variety of wines, beers and hard liquor. The staff or very helpful and friendly. U was also very impressed with the layout. The aisles are wide and things are well organized and easy to find. I've been here a few times now and its always clean and has a cheery feel to it. The also have a rewards program that I recommend you join.

What a wonderful day!! Had a meet and greet with Harrison a scotch expert who will be conducting a scotch tasting at our wedding next weekend. His friendly and confident demeanor backed up by his incredible knowledge made getting this set up a breeze! Can't beat this liquor vendor. Absolutely the BEST in the city in terms of quality, selection and pricing. Other stores simply cannot compete with Willow Park. Great selection of a larger number of items, knowledgeable staff who are very friendly, cheerful and quick to help. The selection of bar ware is second to none. Worth the drive, because even if they do not have what you are looking for, they can offer you several similar items and tell you who is likely to stock what you are after. Top shelf service!

I know it’s Christmas and it’s busy but I stood around for 20-25 minutes trying to flag someone down for a malbec recommendation (no idea what i’m doing when it comes to malbec) and every time I tried to grab someone they would help someone else. I definitely didn’t leave happy- certainly didn’t leave with a malbec. Boo. I’ll go to wine & beyond.

I ordered from Willow Park as a gift to be sent to a family member. When the item I ordered was out of stock, they called me, offered to replace it with a more expensive option and had it delivered within 2 hours. It was wrapped beautifully and gratefully appreciated. Wonderful shop with excellent service!

Only been here a couple times, but I've had a great experience. I only go to Willow to check out their Whiskey/Scotch collection, and every time I've had someone great me. The person has been knowledgeable, and was able to help guide me to something I wanted to try. I will continue to be a repeat customer.

The weekly sale emails are great! I really love the rotating selection of sale items from common items to items that rarely go on sale-May not buy every week but always look forward to seeing the specials-further to this there are other in-store sale prices not advertised one can find. Gems all over!

Dave the beer guy was awesome, he gave us a great recommendation for the Annapolis blueberry cider. also helped us look at some special product. We looked at some wines as well, they have a wicked selection of products. wish they had more options for East coast wine, as there are so many great ones.

Amazing selection, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Modest prices with good sales often. Wide isles makes for comfortable shopping even during busy times. They also offer classes (decanting, tasting, pairings etc) for different types of wines and spirits. They also offer a rewards program.

Willow Park Wine & Spirits has always been one of my favorite liquor stores. They have unique and high quality items and their staff are very knowledgeable. Also, I highly recommend going to events there. The basement is huge and can accomodate large crowds, plus the food is always good.

This is a very large and well stocked wine and spirits store. It's in Willow Park Mall, just North of Southcenter. It's on the Bonaventure Drive SE side. Staff are well trained and there is continuity from family ownership. It's one of my favorite stores for banquet and event purchasing.

Popped in to pick up my latest favourite lo-alc local beer (One For the Road Brewing's amber ale) and they had not only a great selection BUT the employee restocking pointed out another great product that I took home and LOVED. Very knowledgeable and a huge store. Can't go wrong!

WPWS was one of the first boutique vendors with a massive selection and curation from specialists who know their stuff. There are plenty of these types of stores in Calgary now, but this place still remains unique with it's tastings, cellar and walls of select spirits.

Went in for a one day special item, shortly after we received this one day sale email. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the item as they only had one case to sell in the store. Have noticed lately that the customer service and inventory is not what it used to be.

Great selection of everything alcohol related. Largest variety of Scotch whiskey and beer around. Add to that, the friendly and knowledgeable staff makes this the place to go if you want to replenish your bar or to get ideas for something new. Highly recommended.

One of the best spots in Calgary to get any liquor. So much assortment, hard to find spirits and great customer service. Very reasonably priced and some sales they have are worth checking out!
