1. The cashier at the Customer Service counter informed me that she wouldn't "check out groceries at this time, because [she didn't] have a cash drawer." She promptly checked out the man behind me who asked to buy cigarettes, though. 2. The cashier on Lane 1 who did check me out spent the entirety of my transaction complaining to two of her coworkers that she wasn't supposed to be cashiering today, and that Winn Dixie didn't "know what they [are] supposed to be doing" regarding scheduling. When I told her that this conversation didn't seem appropriate or professional, she replied, "Yeah, okay. Have a nice day." 3. Worst of all, an employee with long blonde hair and a red collared short insulted my two-year-old son when he didn't respond to her "hello." He said "no," and hid behind my leg. Admittedly, his response was rude, and I have addressed his behavior with him privately. He is very shy and doesn't always know how to be polite in certain situations. However, when he said "no" to this employee, she said to the cashier checking us out, "No? Well okay. Guess he's not real friendly." I will NOT have my child insulted and belittled by a stranger. I was so angry I couldn't even muster a response to her vulgar and inappropriate behavior toward a CHILD. It was infuriating. For these reasons, and especially because of the way my son was treated, I will never again shop at Winn Dixie.

I'd previously left a 4-star review, based on the logical and easy-to-navigate layout of this store, but my recent experiences at this location have changed my mind about the rating it deserves. I'm tired of having to navigate around employees who are just standing around talking--either to other employees or shoppers. It's bad enough when they're standing there stocking the shelves in a packed (with customers) store, but it's something else altogether when they're just standing there, in the way. They are rude and indifferent to the situation they are creating. Today, the entrance to the produce department just inside the right-hand doors was completely blocked by a male employee, standing with his large stack of produce boxes on a flat bed cart, talking at length to another shopper. We had to go past them to get into the department and then picked up the few other items we needed throughout the store. We spent about 10-15 minutes shopping, yet when we got to the checkout line, they were STILL standing there talking. That means every customer through that door was forced to go around them in that time. That is completely unacceptable.

Just call me a Blessed shopper! As always, I go into Winn Dixie just to pick up a few items, end up with numerous bargains. Their is a particular type of cake I like to get from the bakery and I always look to see if the cake is on sale. If it is, I buy it and freeze it until needed. I go to the produce department and was greeted by this sweet young lady who was very helpful by pointing which items were on sale. I left produce headed to the breakfast/lunch meat area and found some awesome prices on items that were marked down. I headed to the Bakery to see if they had my cake on sale...nope! But guess what I ended up buying several other cakes that were really marked down. A wonderful lady named Chasity went out her way to call to my attention the discounted cakes I ended up buying. That's my story...isn't God awesome! No pictures...that will cost you

Good clean store. Just wish meat market was better stocked. They have plenty of thin cut meats but hardly any thick cut. Some employees need help with what customer service is. I was standing in line, behind one person she was checking out, when she got done I had to wait for her to go check her schedule to find out when her lunch break is! Seriously? There was no one behind me. I'm sure she could see the total displeasure on my face. The older gentleman, Mack I think, we just looked at each other and shook our heads. Do ya think I wanna wait while she checks her schedule? Do ya think I even care? At least wait til your customers are taken care of first, turn off your light and do what ya gotta do. Don't make people wait for a selfish reason.

Even though this place is in the same bad neighborhood as the McDonald's and the hungry Howie's it is at least a Winn-Dixie and the employees are professional and courteous.. you can see the extra effort being made to keep this place clean and nice for people who want to shop and buy food and feel like it is a normal world these days.. the courtesy counter is extra special and they will take care of you the managers are nice and all of the employees are very friendly and courteous. They're informative and they will keep you up to date on when the product comes in if it is not in stock also I cannot recommend this place enough it is the best grocery store in the area hands down.. and there is always good parking here.. enjoy and God bless

One of the customer service representatives seriously needs to be reminded her job is customer service, and excuse me if I’m wrong but being rude to the other staff and customers is not included in her job description. I feel bad for the women who has to work with her seems like she pulls the whole shift. Went back in the store to double check your name just to make sure I didn’t get it wrong , do better Tara do better ! Hopefully you read this and take it to heart and put some love in what you do if not maybe pick a different career. As for the rest of staff thanks for being so professional. And to the wonderful Latino Women who’s pretty much running the store you are amazing thank you so much !

It's been probably & at least 3 years since I have been to ANY Winn-Dixie. They we're either (horribly) turned into the failures known as “Harvey's” & were then closed down or were just shut down. This Winn-Dixie was recently remodeled & in my opinion, wonderfully so. The store is much more logically laid out & designed than it ever was. Is it 100% perfect, no. But it's pretty darn close. The prices are very good & generous as well. I've been hiding out at Walmart, Save-A-Lot, & Publix & forgot what a pleasure it really was to be able to get in, get it cheap, get qualify, & get out QUICK. I will be back a LOT more & a LOT less at ALL the other before mentioned stores.

They added a few light renovations a few years ago to keep up with surrounding area. But all the renovations don't make much of a difference. Limited options, workers seem underpaid, overworked and lifeless. Some of the most tired unmotivated people I've seen working in a store. It never fails they'll have 2 registers open and 20 people waiting in line. I hate going here and avoid if I can but have been for over 10 years. They use to have self check out a few yesr ago but got rid of it. The express line never seems to be open and often I find myself standing behind several full shopping carts with just a few items.

I had the pleasure of shopping at the Winn Dixie on Saga Road ( Oceanway) week of Thanksgiving, The .49 pound turkeys were sold out. No hams in the store. The prices were one price on the aisle and prices higher at the register. The store manager and the cashiers, and other personnel were very professional and polite. The store was clean and not cluttered as other times I shop there. I had a great positive experience shopping at this Winn Dixie. I really miss the Winn Dixie that closed down. That was on Lem Turner and Dunn Avenue years ago. And the Winn Dixie which was in Highlands and Monoco Drive on Dunn Avenue.

  • Sonia Yancy

I literally love Winn-Dixie!!! Their APP is easy to navigate and always have a deal to help you build points fast! Idk how to coupon, but this app makes me feel like a couponer and the POINTS ADD UP (not like other places that CAP points or have restrictions!!!) Spent $55 less then a month ago and used 30× points (exclusive on app- so always check before shopping!), checked my receipt and had 1100 points which equals $11...not bad for get $11 back on a $55 order! Anyway, sorry for the long post, but Winn-Dixie deserves the recognition!!!! I HOPE THEY NEVER CLOSE THIS LOCATION, MY HEART WOULD BE BROKEN❤️

  • Leah McCoy

I would love to give no stars as that is not an option. Received rank meat yesterday evening on my purchase for dinner. Took back to the store and the customer service desk had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to exchange it? Why, to get the same rank meat? I ask to speak to a manager and the manager Gary had the nerve to not apologize for me having to come back and bring them meat that should have never been in the store to begin with. Will never come back here and calling corporate on their poor customer service skills. Don't shop here!

  • Pam Moore

This store was so nasty today, two different items I wanted were expired 3/6/19, 4/5/19. Chicken bones (2) were in the cheese case. Maintenance man was doing something in frozen case with a big hose from bakery. I said something to the Manager and he said he couldn't do anything about that. I said what if someone gets hurt, he said that would be maintenance problem.. Love the new store but with the Managers that are there , they don't seem too care about any problem in the store.. Very very disappointed today 7:30

  • Donovan McFarlane Jr.

Very fresh produce with an ample varied stock, really good prices on meat and an assortment of other items. I was very impressed that when the lines started getting longer they called all associates to the front and started opening up lines to assist. I will definitely be back to shop again. Also the staff that work here are amazingly polite which was an amazing change from the norm! Keep up the good work folks and everyone else definitely patron this store.

  • Tonia

I have been bringing my resident who shops at this store for over 4 years. And maybe I had help bagging his groceries maybe 10 times over a 4 year period. We always have 2 carts of food. I usually don't mind helping bag for the poor ladies in the front but it's just an on going problem. There's always one bagger to 4 cashiers. Well bye bye winndixie and hello somewhere else. I rather pay more to a place with better customer service and management

  • Donna H.

Even before pandemic I was often frustrated that this store is frequently out of stock on basic items. But the staff is friendly and helpful, the store itself is clean but the restroom is absolutely disgusting (at least it was a year ago, I won't use it anymore) and I always worry that if a store is unconcerned about the state of what few customers see, what kind of state is the storage area in when that is not visible to any customers?

  • Donald Ferguson

I liked it before but recently this place got a total face lift and it's definitely worth checking out. Everything is neat, more organized and the prices, as usual can't be beat. The staff is helpful and friendly as well. If you haven't been to this location in the last few months you should definitely stop by to check it out. Big changes have taken place in a good way..... Congratulations to the WD team for all your hard work!

  • DeWayne Stewart

It's a little nicer and cleaner now that they have done a small amount of remodeling and put fresh paint in some places. It's not quite as run down, but either way the establishment is still old and should be rebuilt....Wait times can still be long during peak hours especially since they took out the self check-out and hardly ever keep enough cashier lanes open. Friendly staff☺

  • Debra Crenshaw

I really enjoy going to our Winn Dixie in Oceanway. Everybody is nice, polite and friendly. The store is stocked most of the time and they are steady stocking. The prices are good and reasonable. I really like the points and extra points system it has. It's a clean store. With good fresh produce. The meat men are really knowledgeable about their dept. and the meat cuts.

  • Katherine Arnall

Good place for a groceries. They have a good selection of products, and their produce section is easy to navigate. Their prices are reasonable. It was very easy to find the few items I needed and check out within a matter of minutes, which is especially great when you're in a hurry! Also, the staff were friendly even though they were working on a Friday evening!

  • Willia Stepney

Loved the fresh produce. Clean store. Friendly cashier. But she got "confused" and tried to keep my cash, while asking me if I wanted to put the rest on a card? My bill was $45, I gave her $60 (3 20's) so I pointed to her hand and said you have my $60 for the bill. Which she replied, oh, my fault, I didn't see what you gave me! Definitely, a weird experience.

  • JustLittleOleMe

This store used to be clean, well kept and maintained. Hopefully they'll be installing self checkout in the near future. We've given up all hope they will add "bagging groceries properly" and "courtesy and respect, how to not walk away ignoring customers asking you a question like they're invisible" to their training programs *assuming they still have them

  • Pam B

They had a great sale on steelhead trout, and the gentleman behind the counter even gave me a big bag of ice, when I told him I had a lunch date and didn't want it to spoil. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they didn't have the Kale Mac & cheese....hands down the best pasta salad I've ever had, and I don't even like pasta salad!

  • Mitch Millia

My husband car was totaled the tow tryck dropped us off there and the staff were super nice understanding and helpful even outside of the store .the store was clean fully stocked had everything we need plus more there was staff in every other section the store who were super tentative the min I looked like I need help finding something.

  • Scott Logsdon

By far the absolute WORST employer. They treat employees like numbers and change the schedules daily. What a joke of a place to work for. What about all the other lives and schedules that are dependent on the work schedule? No consideration. Just change it to whatever and make it the employee's fault. DO NOT WORK HERE is my advice.

  • the Keathley fam

I love shopping here everyone is always so helpful. But I don't like that sometimes my BOGO don't get took off. I usually buy alot and don't notice till later. And by then I don't feel like going back. It's usually only one thing each time(not every time but often) but it adds up. If it wasn't for that I would give 5 stars.

  • Jerome Baltazar

Got groceries, that was fine. Ok I was not aware they sold wings. I mozy by the meats and get a whiff of some meaty goodness. I get to the wing bar and not only do they have wings but they have riblets! Needless to say a bought a small sampling and proceeded to destroy the when I got home. Do your self a favor and try some!

  • Carie Beard

This Winn Dixie recently went thru a makeover and seems to be a bit more focused on customer service. They have more cashiers and baggers and it doesn't take forever to check out. Also, if you need help finding something, they are willing to help and more knowledgeable about item locations that in years past.

  • Andre Ferreira

A great place to shop for groceries, especially before the Thanksgiving Holiday! The deals are incredible and everything is well stocked and organized! Above all, the employees and even the manager take time to stop and ask if you need help or assistance. They make shopping there so welcoming!

  • Rob Huffman

If you just come in to get the weekly specials you can get a good deal. Other than that, it's overpriced and the store could use a remodel. This review is for the Oceanway store. Very dated and looks the same as when I was a kid. Not a very big store so the selection is limited.

  • Jazzy Marie

Mr Bruce in the meat department is amazing he definitely knows his stuff and knew where to not only point us but went with us to get our items. Most people leave you hanging and just point to a isle! He’s amazing thanks so much for being great at your job and a great person!

  • Kimberly RevolverPrincess Owens

I'm DONE WITH THIS WD I'LL GO TO YULEE THIS ONE IS AWEFUL! LAST TRIP HERE... I loathe this WD ! It's not the employees it's the building the stocking it's just nasty worst WD ever one in yulee is awesome .... tear this down rebuild restock with fresh in date foods. IJS

  • Terry Fisher

The best Winn Dixie ever. They are totally remodeling the store inside. A new fresh and open look. Definitely have kicked it up several notches here. Great seafood, meats, and a fantastic new look in produce. Friendly & helpful staff. A great shopping experience.

  • Renee Johnston

2 cashiers!! A ton of people this is an on going winn duxie trait everyone was complaining I will have to think about keep shopping at winn dixie when I have a publix near by the sago store has repeatedly gone down AND There has NEVER has great guest service

  • Joann benedict

Everything was fine until I got to the cash register. The cashier was more concerned about where the other cashiers were then just bagging the groceries himself. Ridiculous! I bagged them myself! Lazy people want a pay check but don't want to earn one. Ugh

  • Duane Cooper

The cashier made my day. I have spinal surgery almost a year ago and she remembered me; commented that I was doing well, no neck brace and even got my voice back. Very personable. I wish I could remember her name so I could identify her to you.

  • Bama Jim

Bought some really nice and thick pork chops buy one get one free. I have to say this Winn-Dixie meat dept isn't as nice as our usual store but they did have great cuts on pork chops. Winn Dixie is hard to beat on their meat prices and cuts.

  • Gwendell Vickers

The seafood bag in the fresh meat department is what I went there for but, the man preparing it put a full cup of cajan spices on my fish and vegetables and when I got it cooked I could not eat it it was so hot even to inhale I sneezed and

  • Melissa Jedlicka

Bring back Upside, please!!! Overall nice grocery store with wide selection of produce, meats, dairy, etc. Variety of canned and non-perishable international items, too. Dollar section. Ciabata onion poppy rolls in the bakery are excellent!

  • Danelle Quesada

Always long lines & never enough people working. I went in today and was cashing out. The lady got done and said okay have a good day. I said where is my receipt? She threw it in the trash!!!! Then hands it to me, you couldn’t even read it

  • Wezie Moore

My latest visits were yesterday and the week before. Both times I needed to go to customer service. I worked in retail for 30 years but never spoke to a customer with attitude like I was spoken to my last 2 visits! Tara might be better in

  • Trachella Johnson

I went to the customer service desk and received the worst service I have ever experienced at a grocery store before. The store attendant had the worst attitude and energy ever. The young lady may want to try another job or profession.

  • Jamal Watson

A good clean store to shop at. Plenty of BOGOs and deals. If you use the app you'll be plenty surprised with the savings. This is one of the better Jacksonville area Winn-Dixie. The people are friendly and the app helps too.

  • Anthony Haupt

It's winndixie. What more can I say took a nose dive after they sold out they are not the beef people anymore slow to restock Mr.Davis would roll over in his grave if he knew what was going on with his stores! …

  • Mark Beshel

Winn Dixie is the place to shop. Very helpful customer service, friendly employees, great selection, and good prices. Fuel perks starts again in July, which should be better than the previous rewards program.

  • Gretchin Thompson

The selection was nice, especially the produce. The staff were nice and asked if I needed anything. Check out was on the slow side. The only down fall is that all the produce had spoiled ones sitting with it.

  • Stacy Myers

You can buy lotto, powerfully and mega millions in a machine without waiting in line with other people. The store is up and down in quality. Sometimes its great to shop there other times...not so much.

  • Paris EverGlam (rudeparisss)

Lesley is amazing!! Her charisma and character is just incredible. She’s very friendly and made me smile. She should definitely be employee of the month! We need more people like her in this world.

  • Jazzy Atlanta

It's better now, it smelled real bad in there, didn't buy anything that one time. I had to get something and I was surprised, very clean very clean smelled alot better...need more friendly cahiers.

  • Carlos Robinson

Never been to a Winn-Dixie befor but they actually had cashier's and baggers, UNLIKE the evil empire* . If I need more groceries while I'm here in Flordia , I'll definitely be going back

  • Sharon Hlubek

I love this store. Now if I can just get a sale flier, I would be thrilled. I live in the 32208 zip and I can't get one. Harvey's closed and the nearest Winn Dixie is too far for me.

  • Marshall Serwe

Staff and customers were rather interesting, I am not local, but it seemed like everyone in the store was acting a little strange. Got some groceries for a pretty good price though.

  • Mark Forster

Tesla Supercharging This summer they've installed 16 Tesla Supercharging stalls. Usually only one or two are occupied. Convenient place for charging while picking up your groceries.

  • G3 Shumaker

Well stocked 2 days out from Turkey Day, and busy with shoppers; great store with many savings available; Winn Dixie Card has great saving 20+30% And they have a $1 section, enjoy

  • Tina

Stopped here to get flowers. They were very nice. The employee that helped us was patient, accommodating and wonderful. It was a pleasant experience, thank you!

  • Victor Vaz de Pinho

Shelves are empty; this store doesn’t carry a ton of products; in fact, very little! Also, it's not one of the cleanest, either. The men's bathroom is filthy!

  • David Garcia

For me they have the best value for chicken wings. The bar is usually stocked, and very well labeled. Garlic parm is my favorite, and the bbq is good.

  • None Ya

Tonya the deli manager is absolutely amazing!!!! She’s always so sweet and goes out of her way to help you !!! I use her for all my catering needs!!!

  • Ralph Kelsey

Friendly clean store. My only minor issue is that there are no self checkouts. But it's not a make or break issue obviously.

  • TehutiKhepra

This is my go-to grocery store for my food and wines. Plus, they have good 8 pieces baked chicken that I frequently buy.

  • Greg Benson

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday they have BOGO on a lot of their meat. But you do need the Winn Dixie app or card.
