I did not give them any stars and if I could take stars away and they end up with negative 100 stars I would do that. I decided to try them for the first time because they were close to my home. I ordered two of the wok on fire specials, the beef and broccoli and the general Sao chicken both were at the price of $12.50 each and then I ordered the king pao chicken off the lunch special which was $6.50 to say that I received the same amount of food regardless of how much I paid. The 12.50 combos came with south which I declined and was suppose to come with an egg roll for all three plates and we did not receive any except for the two beef that we had to pay 3.00 for because they would not just charge extra for the egg rolls to go from vegetable to beef. The beef egg rolls were vegetable egg rolls with beef that was as small as a grain of sand and could have been mistaken for pepper flakes. I called the store and was told there was no manager I could speak with. I did speak with someone who was so so so so rude that I wanted to walk to the place just to get my point across. I paid $42.00 for a meal that I ended up not eating. The best part of the whole meal was the container of sweet and sour sauce. I will say that I will NEVER EVER order from them again. For those who live in south Austin the BEST place to get Chinese take out is CHINA HILL STAY AWAY FROM WOK ON FIRE on BRODIE LANE. I hope the true owner reads this and sees how horrible the service and food was . I tried to post without giving any stars and it would not let me but lets be clear they get DOUBLE ZERO STARS
I found a bug in my dinner and complained, their response was to ban me. I had been a loyal customer for years, not because the food was all that good or even priced right for what you get, but because they are close to me. Then last week I find a bug ( a little under the size of a dime) in my meal. I called them up to complain. Their response was to say I was "mistaken" and to send someone out to verify that there was in fact a bug and to take the food back. I was treated like I was trying to steal from them. The manager would not come to the phone to speak to me so the waiter had to act as a go between even though I could hear the manager in the background being very disrespectful and rude. Even though dinner for myself and my GF was ruined, they would only comp me 10.00 out of a 29.00 ticket. Yes my GF did not find a bug in her meal, but that doesn't mean she didn't have to dig around and worry about if there was one. Cut to today. I decided to give them a second chance, I place my order, they take my credit card information, and 15 minutes late I get a call back saying they will not deliver to me anymore. Long story short. They are incredibly rude and they obviously do not value the people who order from them. I feel they are not deserving of our money as consumers, you have been warned.
2022-10 EDIT They switched to a smaller place and under new management. Great service and food. Been getting different entrees the last few weeks. No issues. Changed from 2 stars to 5. (Previous review from 9yrs ago) Food is decent. Service is terrible. I used to do pick-up to-gos here. I always call in and place order beforehand. After the third time they screwed up and forgot to put in my order, I stopped coming here. The girl always tells me "10 to 15mins" over the phone. I would come in around 15-20mins and be told on several occasions, "it'll be ready in couple a minutes"... most of the time it's not the case. They'll make you wait at least another 10-15mins. There were three times they FORGOT to put in my order. Last time I was in the same girl had the nerve to come ask me 4 times "what did you order?" Come on... does it take that much to remember what I ordered or look up on the computer? These three times I've waited an extremely long time - like around half an hour. So the ~30mins on top of the ~10-15mins told over the phone. Two stars for the food. That's all.
If I could give zero stars I would. I have been ordering from the restaurant for over 15 years, and have NEVER dealt with a “manager” so rude in my entire life. After I placed my order and paid, I was told the delivery would be 30 minutes. I was called back and asked for my card number again because I was not charged correctly. When I asked why the price went up, I was told the delivery price for my area had gone up. When I asked when, the “manager”, named Chase, said she would just cancel the order. I was shocked and said I didn’t want the order cancelled and just wanted to know when the delivery charge went up. She rudely said they were really busy and would cancel my order and hung up on me. I called back asking for the manager, she said she was the manager, and they were too busy for the phone call. Clearly they don’t want business, and I will happily never call them ever again.
We had the worst experience ever. We ordered for delivery and when we opened the order it was wrong. we ordered fried rice and got brown rice. I ordered Chicken and got Steak and Shrimp. Then when I called to inform them the order was wrong. I was told NO YOUR ORDER RIGHT! I explained my ordered and she continued to argue with me. So I said I will never order from you again and don't expect a good review and ended the call. Then some guy called me and started yelling at me. Telling me I don't know the difference between fried and brown rice. Then said to bring it up to him and he would show me. I basically had to hand the phone off to my man because I had had enough. Then the guy wanted to argue with him. I said hang up we wont eat there again! The guy hung up the phone. So what I ate was pretty good but check it before you take it. They wont admit when they made a mistake.
Ordered from Yelp online website, got delivery. Delivery guy didn't know where he was, knocked on 4 different doors instead of calling me for directions. By the time we got the food it was cold but didn't complain. Opened the jalapeño chicken I ordered which I would have assumed would be like jalapeño chicken everywhere else, but no. It smelled horrible and had a tons of stuff in it that I've never gotten from another place. The rest of the food was also disgusting and didn't taste well. I called to ask them about it, spoke to Yelp eat24 not wok on fire themselves, told Yelp that that's how they make it and didn't mention any of the other bad tasting food I received. Received a refund for that one item. Will never order again. Food and service were horrible. Ended up ordering pizza instead, should have done that in the first place.
Placed order for three lunch meals on 2-27-17, to go. When arrived at my destination to drop off meals. Each meal was missing items. One was soup the other two meals did not have the sweet sour sauce. Did not have time to buy or get another lunch meal. Each individual was not happy with the meal. Called to voice my issue, women on phone indicated she was owner and would not reimburse any part of the meal. Also indicated if I write a review she would consider it harassment. She did not want to talk but was very argumentative and rude over the phone. She hung up without resolving any issue. My advise is if the owner is willing to argue and hang up on their customer's. Then it is a place that I will never return for business. I give this place two thumbs down for customer service. Specially if the owner acts that way to their clients.
NEVER AGAIN - WISH THERE WAS A NEGATIVE STAR OPTION. I've ordered from Wok on Fire on Brodie Lane for years but I will never order from there again. This is the second time I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and add crispy tofu. I only got tofu, no chicken. I called to let them know and to go ahead and order another one so my daughter could have her chicken and the girl hung up on me. I called back and she said they would send me a new dish. The driver showed up and was obviously angry since he rang the doorbell non-stop. I was on a work call and could not get the door right away. The food was double tofu and still no chicken. I called the driver back and told him and then he hung up on me too. I am amazed that their service has gone downhill so much. Don't waste your time ordering from Wok on Fire. If I could give negative stars I would.
This place is horrible! I'd give it zero stars if I could! We used to place to-go orders from them on an almost weekly basis. We ordered delivery tonight and it took TWO HOURS! We called after an hour and were told it was on its way, and if it was cold, we would be credited. It arrived after two hours and all of the food was cold. We called and spoke to the owner and told her that this was unacceptable service and demanded our money back. She told us she would give us a soup of our choice on our next order, but no credit. We asked if this is how she treated loyal customers. If it was, we would not be ordering from them in the future. Her response? "Then don't order!" Don't waste your time on this establishment, folks! Mama Fu's is a little bit farther down the road on Brodie. They would never treat their customers this way!
Have ordered from this restaurant 3 or 4 times and only ONCE has the food been on par. Too salty, too cold, etc. BUT today, after waiting a total of 55 minutes: All fried items arrived cold/room-temperature. The crab rangoons had weirdly-textured curdly-looking cheese inside. As if left unrefrigerated throughout the day. The to-go packaged fried rice reeks of a moldy sour smell. The hot fried rice must've been cooked in the morning, then covered and left sitting for hours for delivery in the evening. Delivery driver was rude. She was on her cell with speaker-phone enabled, yelling in her native tongue so loudly she could be heard thru the door. Opened door, exchanged food/money, then, without a word to me, just turned around to leave and resumed her phone conversation. We will never support this restaurant again.
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tried to cancel my order because the wait time was too long and the man that answered the phone yelled at me to call the delivery service that was not his problem and that I should have called the restaurant or come in.. but sir you offer delivery on YOUR WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then hung up on me so naturally I called back and he yelled at me again, he told me he had a customer in front of him and didn't have time for "this"... "This" being you took my money and wont help me get it back... I didn't mine calling the delivery service but the fact that he responded so inappropriately was awful. but with a 2 star rating I should have known better! I normally am not a fan of leaving bad reviews but this was out there! Hopefully he treats other paying customers nicer in the future!
The family was sitting inside waiting for our delivery when I pulled up and saw a delivery driver just about to leave, assuming that he dropped off our dinner. Once I got inside I looked for the food and they said it wasn't here yet. I called Wok on fire to confirm and they said the driver left because nobody answered the door when he knocked. I told them we were here and to tell him to turn around. 20 minutes later we still didn't have our food and I called to talk to a manager. They immediately asked if I wanted to cancel and I said no, but I would like a discount since I wound have to reheat my 45 dollar meal. No compromise, they wouldn't budge. Only kept asking if I wanted to cancel, so I did. We ordered there at least 2-3 times a month, and never again.
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My husband and I dined in one Sunday. We ordered and paid in the front before we found our seats. Anything we needed, we got up and got ourselves. Keep in mind, the Resturant was completely empty. We were the only ones there and will soon find out why. They brought our food, which was over priced and not very good. When we were finished we got up to leave and were in complete disbelief by what happened next. The waiter rushed over and slammed his hand on the table completely startling us and and our infant daughter. He demanded a tip! Are you kidding me?!?! First, who demands a tip? Second, he did absolutely NOTHING for us!! I was furious and we stormed out! We will never come here again!
This food was very disappointing. I went there to try it out from the beautiful brochure that was left on my front door. The actual restaurant is very nice, with hardly anyone in it. I found out why. Firstly I had to ring a bell to get any attention from the staff in the back. I ordered Thai curry style fried rice with shrimp and chicken and could barely even eat half of it. It was not cooked on a flaming hot wok. The veges were frozen peas and carrots, the rice was dull and the curry absolutely nothing like Thai food. I would never go back there again nor recommend it to anyone else. They need new staff, new cooks and fresh food that is cooked how they say they do it on the brochure.
This was the first time I had ordered food from Wok on Fire in a long time. The first thing I noticed was a sign on the window saying "Under New Management". The Hot and Sour soup was very good, and this is one of the things I always look for in a good Chinese Restaurant. I ordered Garlic Chicken and Garlic Shrimp. They were both very good. The garlic sauce was tasty, and not too hot, the chicken was white meat chicken, and both had a good variety of crunchy vegetables. The lunch also came with a small eggroll. I was pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of the food. Recommend.

Now, anyone and everyone, if you want to look for legit "in and out" fast food restaurant, this is the place. With the pics placed below, i can say that this is a place to get fast , super piping hot chinese food here. What i have is chicken and mushroom which is one of my favorite, yet delicious! They are joking when they say they will have out to 10-15 minutes when its actually like 5-8. Very quick, very fast and very hot! I normally dont eat out, but this place here is definitely worth eating at if you want something quick and hot! a duke togo highly recommended location!

I tried to order on the phone because I wanted to try their food, but their website had a security issue. This would have been for delivery, and we got all of that and the order done on the phone, but the fellow with a heavy accent on the phone started talking faster and was less understandable when it came to the payment part. I asked him to speak more slowly and distinctly so that I could understand what he was requesting from me, since I kept misunderstanding him. He then told me that they cannot deliver to my house. I'm 2 miles away from them. A $5 delivery charge should more than cover 2 miles (10 minutes, assuming he catches all of the lights).
Ordered dinner to be delivered for my family during a rainy night in Austin. Was told it would be delivered in 45 minutes. I called after 1 hour & was told they were really busy & they thought my food was on its way. At the 1 hour 30 minute mark, we’re still waiting for our food. I have asked to speak to a manager or the owner & have been told that one doesn’t speak English & the other is not available. Food here after 1 hour & 45 minutes. Driver said it was raining too hard to make deliveries. Food is cold. What happened to good customer service. I order fromWok On Fire about 15 times per year. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!
Place is great sweet and sour chicken is the best, they get a lot of crazy costumers though, it's ridiculous. I saw a guy (6 ft male) come in and yell at the manager (5ft young female) cause she wouldn't turn off the music and blast CNN. Listen, I get it you wanna be treated like royalty when u come in to an establishment but a restaurant has its policies. If your unhappy with them kindly escort yourself out. Coming in and asserting your dominants on those weaker then u is just sad. This man full on cussed the staff (which were females) out cause he couldn't get what he wanted. Just a disgrace to America.
My husband stopped by to pick up our order that was called in. He was completely ignored when he arrived and was left standing at the register for at least 15 minutes while the owner was sitting down at a table having a conversation with a vendor. My husband finally had to approach the kitchen to get someone’s attention which prompted the owner to finally get up to assist. He just arrived with our now cold dinner and the food is beyond horrible, to the point I wouldn’t allow anyone in the family to eat it. Our fault for not reading the reviews prior to ordering. Please do not waste your time and money!
This place is a GEM! Absolutely flawless food- I could feel the love made in our egg rolls crisp and fresh to perfection with a deliciously light sweet and sour, beef teriyaki skewers were on point, and the vegetable lo mein fresh and perfectly sauced. I felt like I was in a family home rather than someone just making food..anyone rating this any less is not a foodie nor a Chinese Food snob like myself. Totally stumbled upon it, we will be back!! The waiter could have cleared our plates but c'mon people focus on the good and this place has it all..they know what they are doing the food is pure love.
They served us undercooked chicken in a to-go order. When I arrived home and realized what had happened, they refused to rectify the situation unless we came back in with the order. A manager then proceeded to argue with me, stopping just short of calling me a liar, about how customers are trying to get free food so they would not accommodate the request for a new order. This is saddening because I've ordered from them for many years (purely for convenience sake) and never had an issue before. It was totally unprofessional and I will never order from them again
If I could leave zero stars I would. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service. The owner is EXTREMELY rude. The food is less than decent, definitely not worth getting menus snatched from your hand and purposely ignored and glared at for no reason at all. The owner is an older, heavy-set, bald Asian and was very disrespectful from the start. No wonder the place was completely empty. If you’re searching for a quality Chinese restaurant with friendly staff, keep searching. Wok on Fire is nothing but an enormous disappointment and an abomination to Chinese Cuisine.
We were a little skeptical going with all the bad reviews and when we walked in at 6:30pm, the place was empty. However, all I can say is great things about them! The place was so clean and nicely decorated. The food came out pretty fast and it was super fresh. I got beef fried rice and the beef was perfectly cooked and tender and the rice was super fresh, fluffy and not greasy at all like some places. My boyfriend got chicken lo mein and the sauce was super yummy and everything was perfectly cooked! Definitely give this place a chance!
Ordered from here delivery took over an hour and when delivery driver arrived he demanded a tip and tried to refuse to give us our food that was already paid for. He stated that my apartment was too far and needed a tip. The food was not fresh at all. My lettuce was brown and the vegetables smelt rotten, I do not recommend this place at all. I was shocked they way they treated their customers. This place is trash and so is the food! Spend your money where they will appreciate it and not be so demanding.
My husband and I placed an order for pick up as we live out of town. We picked up and made our way home. We get home and see that for my sweet and sour chicken order, they forgot to include the sweet and sour sauce -- the key part of the dish. Not the end of the world, but we called to get a refund (on this dish only) and not only did they choose not to refund, their customer service was atrocious. The manager was curt, unapologetic, and made it clear she would rather lose a customer than fix a mistake.
The food is absolutely horrendous. The sesame beef was completey covered in the sweetest sugar sauce. It made me sick with how sweet it was. The beef quality itself was low and full of grissle as well. The general Tsos chicken was so tough (old and overcooked) that it literally hurt my gums to try to eat it. Potstickers were cold. Avoid this place at all cost.

The food was ok, but the service not so great. Next time I'll be sure to bring my own pitcher of water and sweat tea because I never got asked for a refill. I will also bring a bell to ring when I need something. The young servers seemed more interested in their IG/Twitter/FB/Tinder/Snapchat accounts. Next time I want to be ignored by teens I'll go to my aunts house... her 15 and 16 year old daughters always sit at the dinner table isolated from the world stuck on their social media.
While the menu looks appetizing, the staff is less than appealing. I would stray away from Wok on Fire. I was not given the correct order and when I called, after the employee would not help me I asked to speak with a manager. He told me 'We're too busy' and HUNG UP ON ME. I'm sorry?! After calling back, someone else told me the manager was on vacation and unable to help me with my request TO GET THE CORRECT ORDER. Severely disappointing and left with food that is disgusting.
Honestly, I recieved a different item from what I ordered but because it was all so good, I can't even complain. (I ordered the combo fried rice but got veggie). The Pu pu platter is amazing and perfect for a date night appetizer. The fried rice was so flavorful and filling. My bf had the curry fried rice with chicken and it was phenomenal as well! It came with so much food that I have leftovers. It is definitely worth it, and the customer service was great for delivery.
Haven't been in awhile since moving up north austin but I gotta say of the places I've tried over here this place is up there for me. Best hot and sour soup ive had to date, and good portions and taste on meals and not all that pricey from what I remember. Usually I'd get the orange beef or sesame chicken. Maybe I'll make a trip today. All these bad reviews are crazy considering I've never had a problem and this was my to go place for probably 10+ years with my family
The delivery driver never knocked on my door or rang the door bell, and just left my order on my door step. After 2+ hours of unsuccessfully trying to contact the restaurant I eventually discovered the order sitting cold on my porch. I reheated it but it was disgusting, I rang the next day to talk to the manager, who was incredibly unhelpful and rude, and told me I'd have to return the order as I received it for a refund - and then hung up on me. Would not recommend.
If I was able to do a 0 I wold I got food there and got home and there was a hair in my food the rude manager told me to bring it back but I wasn’t able today and she said then I can’t do anything for you and I said post places do a credit and hung up on me so I called back to ask why she did that and said she was going to call the police if she gets another call so rude. so I would not recommend going there because you will have poor service and hair in your food.
complete dumb service...i had ordered some food for delivery and when they brought it all of it was wrong cold and undercooked. I called to talk to the store manager and the girl said that they were not there...i called to tell them not to run my card and they told me I already had my food (all wrong) but was still entitled to pay for an order completely wrong...im not one to complain but when service is this horrible I really need to point it out to them...
The food was decent but the customer service was horrible. I went in at 11 a.m. to grab some lunch and when I asked for it she automatically assumed I was asking for dinner. When she gave me the price I said "oh no I just wanted lunch." She then told me that I should have told her something and gave me a bad look. When I asked her for a receipt she laughed in my face then made another rude comment to me. I was very close to just telling her to refund me.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Wok on Fire at Brodie needs a serious overhaul! Long story short, food that was delivered was soaked due to soup spilling on everything in transit bc everything was shoved into one bag. When the problem was brought to restaurants attention we were accused of spilling it and causing problems. That’s not how you conduct proper business! Extremely disappointed and don’t ever recommend supporting this place again! Terrible!
General Tso and pork fried rice. The rice wasn’t fried, at all. It was very salty though. The Tso tastes like sesame. Not sure what the deal is there, so fine, but the three small pieces of broccoli in my dish were clearly old af. I don’t know if it’s just old stock or if they make it by the batch and I ordered after 9. One good thing, food got here in under 30 minutes. Definitely not worth the time. Delivery charge for 1.3 miles away was $4.
Delivery was excellent! Driver was nice, and very fast. However, the food was nothing special. The crab rangoon was basically just cream cheese and the sweet & sour chicken was pretty typical. The fried rice was pretty good. However the teriyaki chicken was horrid. We each tried two pieces and just could NOT eat it. Would order delivery again. But probably wouldnt ever CRAVE this place. But again- speed and friendliness was excellent.
Got dumplings, egg rolls, lomein and they were absolutely disgusting. I’ve had better from frozen supermarket brands. Delivery driver was awful too. I met him outside my business and he was so nasty. Didn’t even keep him waiting and he had the right address. Never again. Pick up frozen food, defrost it and it’s as good or better than what they serve here

Ordered from here food arrived late then driver complained his tip was not enough. Welp maybe if you would have arrived when y’all said you were things could have been different but you should always be grateful for what you have been given because my tip could have been used to give to a less fortunate homeless person or someone more accepting. Definitely won’t eat here again to many other options around the Austin area.
Ordered here for years. Years. It's always been really good. Even after being under "new" management several times over these many years, it never changes and is always good, super fast delivery, and piping hot.

HORRIBLE .....had delivery and driver demanded tip after giving him tip he refused my demand after about 20 times to leave my property . I pushed towards my driveway and he still did not wanna leave . He's very lucky it was not worse. Highly recommend not eating here . If people in this country can not speak English then there obviously illegal in the country and should not be delivering food to american door steps !
WORST FOOD, cold and tasteless with the most terrible smell. Ordered orange chicken that tasted freezer burnt and the "fried rice" was more like cardboard. When my husband called to request a refund, he was told by Anthony that the store policy is to bring in the uneaten food to receive our money back. Anthony was unhelpful, and proceeded to hang up on my husband. Nasty, terrible experience from every angle.
Great place for lunch and/or dinner. I had a great lunch with my team and I was amazed on the quality of food, exquisite taste and warm atmosphere so I had to come back next day for dinner with my wife, both occasions service was extremely fast and staff was friendly and knowledgeable about offerings. Food was incredibly delicious and I cannot wait to return. Big thumb up - a great place to eat in the area.
DONT ORDER FROM HERE. The woman who runs the place is extremely rude along with her delivery girl, she took my money without giving me change but because I didn't want to be rude, I told her to keep it. And when I saw they messed up my order I called to tell them and she immediately started yelling at me and she hung up on me multiple times. Extremely terrible customer service and the food is barely decent
I was on the phone trying to place my order. I told the lady if they could please drop it off at the front of my apartment clubhouse because we will be there and she kept asking me for my apartment number when I told her three times we were going to be at the clubhouse after that she decided to hang up on me I think that is very unprofessional and disrespectful I will never order from them again.
Bad management decision making- no clue on how to treat & retain customers, callous staff also with no sense of customer service but VERY skilled at shoulder shrugging and smirking when confronted with evidence of poor execution of so-so food- this business has no qualms charging the customer to fix their mistakes. Never again. No wonder this place is always EMPTY and always HIRING.
Ordered delivery. It came on time and was piping hot, unusually hot for delivery. The veggies were nice and crisp and the sauce was light and flavorful. The new management must be doing things better from what I see in these reviews.

First and last time coming here. Don't trust them with your money and they waist your time. They accused me of steeling food. called me in to solve the problem just so they could threaten to call the cops. The next day we came in to show them that we payed for our food, and they started a argument over a mistake they made and had the cops come trying to scare us off over $10
This place has the worst customer service!! The youngest Chinese lady is the rudest! I ordered something and it was the wrong order and she had the nerve to tell me that's what I ordered even though she didn't even take my order it was a man I think I know what I ordered I stopped going for a while because of there poor customer service but I see nothing has changed!
This is a great restaurant the staff is super friendly And their food is delicious. I literally can't stop thinking about their cream cheese wantons after eating them I actually crave them. Everything me and my boyfriend have tried from this place has been super yummy !! And not to mention their affordable prices with large portions.. Will definitely be coming back.
I called in a delivery and didn’t even get to order my food cause I hung up the phone not wanting to wait. The dumb people taking my order got addresses mixed up. So this guy shows up at my apt telling me I ordered 60$ worth of food. I tell him I never ordered. Then he calls me back threatening to call the cops when I never ordered to begin with!!! F@$k this place.
I've had to change my review recently. The last 2 or 3 times the food just hasn't tasted very good. Possibly because it's not fresh. I brought take-out over to a friends and we all agreed that none of the dishes were particularly tasty. They're well set up for take out, you can order online, pay and just pick up when it's ready. They also deliver close by as well.
Under new management! Food was delicious and service was amazing!!!! I have a tree nut allergy and they made sure to make that a priority. Definitely going to make this my new go-to!

Ordered sweet and sour tofu...got a large plate of fried tofu with raw onion and peppers and no other veggies. It had a hair embedded into batter. I asked for brown rice and got white. My mom ordered sesame shrimp. She had 3 broccoli pieces, no other veggies. Noodles in the spring rolls where dry. Food was not good at all. Will never be returning.
DONT EAT HERE! The manager/delivery driver is as bad as the food. Jane wouldn’t talk to us about the putrid food, instead just kept hanging up. Jane told us to dig the food out of the trash and bring it in for a refund. What they serve is pre frozen and gross. Ask for Jane and order a meal if you want horrible customer service and even worse food.
Slow service. Food wasn't very flavorful. Poor handling of our credit card. Waiter left it sitting on the counter for more than 15 min while he was in the kitchen. They wern t very busy... The waiter tried his best, but the lack of wait staff and bad management left customers waiting far too long. This place used to be pretty decent. Shame.
They don’t even deserve one star ! They girl that dropped off our food was so rude! And was trying to keep the 40 dollars I paid with smh since I asked for my change she gave me all coins and said I need it to be nice like no lady I’m a customer you need to be nice because I didn’t do anything to you, you mad cause I asked for my change smh
We have ordered from this place now 3 times. The vegetables need to be cooked more..so hard you can't even chew them. Second, the first time they put a few packs of soy sauce and 3 fortune cookies. No sauces and a fortune cookie that was smashed to hell. We order a different meal to give them a chance but nope this will be the last time.
Surprised by the other reviews! I've ordered delivery and also ate inside the restaurant and they've always been so friendly and the food is great! I have a food allergy and they've always taken the time to help me find something good. Started coming maybe a month ago. Maybe service has improved since the last reviews.
Love Wok on Fire. I could eat their food every day. If you are not happy with delivery time maybe pick up would be a better option. My favorite things are the shrimp spring rolls, cheese rangoons, chicken delight(chicken with mixed veggies), beef with broccoli, sesame chicken with WHITE MEAT. It’s all good …
Food was delivered to the wrong house. They delivered the wrong items. Food was bland and cold and frankly just gross. Didn't send utensils. I left a review, and the owner called and screamed at me. Asked me what my problem was and offered me a $10 credit to remove my review. Yelled at me like I was a child.
Food was average at best. Customer service was atrocious. Ordering over the phone was a struggle due to language barrier which is understandable but dont get angry when asked to repeat. Pick up was envy worse, employee just yelled words as soon as I entered. Angry when asked to clarify. Never returning!!
Girlfriend and I had this delivered for dinner. Delivery was fast, but the food was really bad. It had a bad smell too. The chicken was rubbery. It’s definitely old food that was used. I never write reviews, but I had to on this one. DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE! We payed $30 for nasty, nasty food!!
Absolutely gross. I regret spending money here. Chicken tastes freezer burnt. “Fried chicken with sauce on the side” … it’s just low effort and doesn’t taste good. Pot stickers and ragoon, you could buy better at the supermarket. Fried rice and lo mein has very low flavor JUST DON’T

Don’t use the website it will charge you money and won’t create an order and nothing will ever show up but if you call them they will waste an hour of your time Blaming a third-party app to then tell you you have to remake the order and hope that your money comes back from the website buyer beware
Food is alright. Service is just terrible. We've ordered delivery at least 10 times and 8 out of those we encountered a sour delivery girl at our door. Their portion sizes also vary depending on the kitchen's staff mood. We're hoping a new restaurant opens soon so we can order from there instead.
As good as cheap Chinese gets, like others have said they're very generous with the portions, my fiancee and I stretched two meals for three days each (this morning we combined what was left into a skillet with bacon grease, totally brought it back to life). Will certainly order from here again.
Great friendly service. Food was well packaged and still hot after a 30 minute drive. Everything tastes fantastic.

Said they were too busy to deliver. Don't advertise delivery if you are only SOMETIMES going to deliver. Food is mediocre at best but I was willing to put up with it because they used to deliver. Will not bother calling back to find out if that day's a lucky delivery day or not.
Horrible customer service, staff was very rude and the whole place had a very unwelcoming vibe, the food was so disgusting I couldn't even finish it. Soon as I went home I got I'll amd threw up. If I could give negative stars I would. Save your money this place is awful!!!
Food was wonderful. I loved the spice of their virmecelli Singapore, a favorite dish of mine. Portions were huge! I had messed up my address on the delivery order and they courteously called me to double check and fixed the delivery for me. Definitely a new go to for me.
I always get hot food with amazing portions. The lunch special is a great deal and I love stopping by during my lunch break.

This place is actually good...I haven’t tried everything on the menu but the hot and sour and egg drop soups are really good compared to other similar restaurants. The employees have been nice and made accommodations whenever something has gone wrong. Good restaurant!
Worst Chinese I've ever had. Sesame chicken was dry, kung pao chicken should have been called kung pao celery as there were hundreds of pieces of it and hardly anything else. Fried calamari was chewy and not crispy at all. Yuk! Never again!

I saw a woman walking around in my neighborhood with door hangers for this place. Instead of placing them on doors, she was simply dropping them on driveways and sidewalks. I'll spend my money on businesses that don't litter in my neighborhood.
Been here for three weeks and 15 take-out meals in Austin; this is the first restaurant to impress me. Portions are large, food is fresh, and my wife loved chicken with mixed vegetables. Don't hesitate; this is a good value. And taste great.
Experience with delivery was awful, rude employee, cold food. Pretty sure the meat was spoiled, smelled and tasted horrible, completely inedible! Doesnt deserve a single star but unfortunately this doesnt give the option to leave 0 stars.
They keep soliciting my apartment, even though our complex clearly says this is not allowed. Decided to try them anyway - big mistake. Terrible food, buying dirt from home depot would taste better and would be healthier to eat.
Called in an order for delivery and had to repeat everything I said 3-4 times. Then the lady hung up on me before I was done ordering. The extra sweet and sour sauce I ordered was not in the bag. And no e.t.a. for the delivery.
Don't order Moo Shu Pork - uses Mexican tortillas and taste like fajitas. Manager told me my only recourse is I could get in my car and take it to her for a refund! Lived all over and totally shocked by food and customer care.
Waited way to long for a to go order that I oredered way in advance. I got to the store and still had to wait an extra 15-20 minutes. There was only 2 tables in the whole restaurant and they were almost done with their meals.
The portions are huge, and the menu is extensive. Lots of choices, but my tried & true pick is the Orange Chicken. They have an awesome combo that includes soup, chicken wings, and an egg roll. Arrive hungry, leave stuffed!
This place always messes my order up, I tryed to give them a second chance and they messed that up too! They always short my order, I pay for a combination plate and they miss the sides but they sure charge me correctly!
Came in here to eat with my friend and was told “you finish, get out now” while we were sitting at 1 of the 4 tables. Terrible service and food! Now i see why this junk has 2.5 stars. Also the place was completely empty
We've had pickup and delivery a few times so i can fairly review. Pricing, portions, quality and delivery have been good. Flavors are nice for classic dishes so far. Whoever is in the kitchen now is doing a great job.
Just picked up an order Spicy Chicken Curry, it’s soupy and the chicken has rubbery texture. Just all around gross. I am very disappointed and should have read the reviews first. I will not recommend this restaurant.
On their phones when I arrive on their phones when I leave not sure why I tip 25% on a takeout order should have given it to the cooks.

I usually do a takeout and the food is really great but really bland (even the items marked as "too spicy"). They do levy a $5 delivery charge, which sucks. On top they have a minimum order for delivery.
Noticed my review was taken down; no worries! I’ll post it again. Driver got violent and tried coming into my house, demanding a tip after we tipped him online. We also got violent food poisoning.
The lady that took my order was rude af. got my order wrong, had the audacity argue with me and insisted it was right. Couldn’t even stomach the food that was given to me. Worst experience ever.
We really enjoyed the food. It was hot, fresh and tasty. Service was great and staff was very friendly. We will definitely go back!!

We ordered chicken, shrimp, and mixed veg from their diet selections. Everything was fresh and well prepared. There is nothing fancy about the place but food is ok. Give them a try.
We’ve ordering from Wok on Fire for years. Love there Sesame Chicken and the Stir fried Green Beans. Very good food, generous portions at a good price. What’s not to love. …
This place is great. Food was hot and delicious. Everyone working there were kind and helpful. Can't wait to order from them again. Excellent quality Chinese food in SW Austin!
Solid choice through the years and am very glad it’s still serving us in SW Austin. Too many meals here to count, both takeout and in restaurant. Dependable, consistent, tasty.
