I feel like this is a little known gem in town. Free beautiful rose garden. Pretty large and with a kid friendly "sensory garden." My kiddo loved the wind chimes and bells. Also all the water features. We visited before the zoo opened. Practically no visitors before 9:30am on a Sunday in August, which is a thumbs up in my book.

Very lovely experience. I went during the off season so while there weren't any flowers in bloom just being in the park was peaceful enough. I enjoyed the sound garden and the water features (pond and fountain). Relaxed under the gazebo watching the sun set. Will definitely be back when the roses are in season.

What a beautiful day. We went to see the beautiful flowers and were not disappointed. Easy to walk around, dog friendly, and enty of places to sit and enjoy nature. Parking can be a problem since it is the zoo paid parking or neighborhood parking, but we were warned and went early in the day.

Great place to stop and smell the roses - literally! It is a pretty large park with a great variety of flowers. There is even a sensory section that is by the fountain area. I love coming here in the summer. End of August is typically when the blooms tend to go away so go before if you can.

Always a favorite. Season is a wee bit hard to predict sometimes in Seattle. I saw roses blooming around Seattle so knew it would be a good time to try (this was June 17) but seemed like it was a little bit towards the end of the season since some were already pretty crisp and dried up.

The names of the varieties were missing on most. There was no rhyme or reason to how they are layed out. Any type of grouping would have been helpful, such as: Fragrance, Color, Variety, Climbing, Heirloom, but, alas there is none. Also a kiosk with an overview. More

Gorgeous free gardens. Great way to spend an afternoon. Make sure not to miss the sensory garden to the left. It’s a bit hidden and not super obvious you can access it from the main gardens, but was a highlight of our visit. Bring your

The old Phinney family's garden was turned into this awesome rose garden. Now maintained by a full-time zoo horticulturist. Awesome spot. My favorite is the funky designed trees. The sensory garden is an interesting spot too!

Went before the flowers were in bloom but it's still a lovely area to walk around and to take in a little bit of nature while still being in the city. Will definitely visit again in the summer for the roses

Very nice small rose garden clean and well-maintained, even though it wasn't season for roses, but it was still beautiful, really enjoyed my time there, definitely will be back in Spring - Summer time. …

Great park for a picnic! We were about to set up our sun shade and celebrate a 1 year old's birthday. Perfectly calm on a gorgeous day. The whole garden smells nice and fragrant.

Lovely little Rose garden adjacent to the Seattle Woodland Park Zoo. A nice and quiet place for reflection while taking in beautiful flowers when in season.

Beautiful garden, lots of rose varieties. Take a chance to "smell the roses" some are very sweet, others have some very interesting fragrances!
