I’ve been a client of several WGB locations throughout Florida, but this review is specific to the Avondale location. The staff continues to underwhelm me with their apathy, specifically their lack of interest to help or show interest in my questions and my dog’s needs. I’ve taken my pug (who is a truly sweet and well-behaved old man—and that’s not just me speaking as his mom) in for grooming service in the past, and I wasn’t pleased with the apathy from the groomer who just handed my pug off without a greeting or report, not to mention my dog’s nervousness upon entering the store on our second trip. This was about a year ago, and we never returned because I didn’t feel comfortable bringing my boy back to a place that was uncaring and disinterested. Fast-forward to recently when I dropped in for treats and to see if I could chat with a different groomer in hopes I would get a better vibe from someone new. When I asked the girl at the front desk if a packaged treat advertised for large dogs came in a smaller size, she looked at the package and responded with something like, “If it’s not over there, then probably not.” And she made no effort to check the shelf or computer system or find a suitable alternative, nor did she offer a sense of closure to the conversation or a hint of care. I stood there for a few moments expecting some kind of helpful follow-up until I meandered back for something else. Upon check out, I asked if any of the groomers had experience with blind dogs, and the girl, once again, responded to me with an apathetic, “I don’t know.” And again, zero effort to check with a groomer or offer me any kind of help. This is also when I noticed that her shirt said, “I’m dead on the inside,” which I wish I had noticed earlier to prepare me for such a cold transaction. To top it all off, when I got home I noticed my purchase had an expiration date of 2019 (my date of purchase was April, 2021). I’ve given this location so many chances and am always shocked by how my experience differs from the 4.whatever star review, but I’m sorry to say that my interactions have been nothing but disappointing.

I’ve brought my dog here once for grooming and they did a fantastic job, but this review isn’t about their skilled grooming or their homemade treats or their fair prices - it’s about my experience today when I came in to purchase a cheap replacement leash. I’ve been out of town for almost two weeks so I kept my dog at my parents’ house in Palatka. I picked him up today and realized when I got back home that I forgot his leash. I didn’t feel like going to target and I knew Woof Gang sold leashes and they’re only a minute from my home. When I walked in, the woman welcomed me in and asked if she help me find anything. I started to tell her my story and before I could even finish it she offered to see if they had any donor leashes that she could give me. Her generosity caught me so off guard that I thanked her, took the leash, and left. I called my mom and told her the story and she reminded me that I should’ve bought something! I wanted to write this review to let any prospective customers out there know that this business is here because they care. I plan to return the leash and buy some treats, as well as continue to have my dog groomed there. I appreciate the generosity and it really made an impact. As long as I live in Jacksonville, Woof Gang will continue to have my business. Thank you for caring.

This was my second time going to this place since I have moved very close for grooming. Last time I made a day off appointment which made me super happy because I don’t always know what day I have completely off to be able to drop my dog off and pick up. I made it this time and when I arrived the poor girl who worked in the front told the groomer I was there and he started to scream and cuss at her that she did not ask him first before she made the appointment and I could hear the whole thing. At that point I obviously did not want my dog seen by someone who was that upset about doing his job and talks to anyone like that. I will be back Saturday to try one more time (with a different groomer) and the lady at the front even said she would give me 20% off which I really do appreciate. I can’t believe that employee works in a place that seems to represent itself so well.

We called yesterday to see if they groom cats and sure enough they do and got us in the next morning super early!! It was really nice because they make sure to schedule you when there won’t be many (if any at all) dogs around for grooming. Our little Gwen was able to get a bath and mini groom which took care of the pads of her feet (super awesome if you’re having problems with tracking litter throughout the house!). They were very nice and professional and gave Gwen all the love she needed after her favorite experience (ha ha). I would definitely recommend going here if you’re a cat (or pupper) parent looking for some bathing/grooming help!

Great service and very friendly groomers, this was Flints second grooming. He came back matted and extremely dirty after 2 weeks away at boarding for training, in which I wasn't happy about. But the groomer did her magic and gave him this beautiful summer cut. I had specifically asked her to keep his face long but they do usually cut it shorter. I just love his mustache lol we are going back just to trim his chin in which the groomer had asked if I wanted I trimmed but I said no at the time. I changed my mind and they happily said they'd trim it when I go back tomorrow.

I brought my 2 Shih Tzus here to be groomed. They loved Katie immediately. She did exactly as I asked. They looked and smelled so nice and were both happy little fluffy butts when I picked them up. Savannah had new bows in her hair and Marcello had a cute little bandana. So precious. The shop is also adorable. Any kind of treat you could want for your fur baby, they've got it. I picked up a lamb ear, duck foot, pork bully stick and some dried fruit. I would definitely recommend and will be returning.

I have yet to visit this shop and I'm already in love! Our groomer recently moved here and I called to make an appointmen. Bailey was friendly, kind, patient, sweet and professional. She went out of her way to make sure that our grooming experience would be the very best that Woof Gang has to offer. I am very excited that we will be taking our dogs to be groomed here. Our groomer Bethany is top-notch and I hope that her stay here will be a happy and long-lived one.

If you live your pet, you can come here and prove it! Every type of dog treat you can imagine. Lots of homemade treats. Pretty reasonable prices and a vast selection to choose from. Great for pet birthday items. Their whole bones and antlers are great and last a very long time. Amazing flavor varieties to choose from. And to cap it all off: a super friendly and helpful staff willing to answer or find the answer to any question(s) you may have. Check it out!

I went into this new adorable pet store this week! I got a bag of goodies, a few cute and fun toys and will be back with my dogs for grooming services soon. I have to give credit to the cute young girl who works in the shop (and her adorable puppy) because even though I only spent around $50, I was treated as if I was their best customer. It’s so nice to encounter friendly and helpful customer service people who smile. What a great addition to Avondale!

Best little doggy store I have visited since mine went out of business. I don't have a pet but have friends who do. It wouldn't be right to forget one at Christmas. I bought several Christmas "cookie" doggy treats that are baked in house. Briefly looking around the store it was very obvious that they are a high quality pet food vendor. Pet toys are also available here. If you want great quality food and treats for your pup, this is the place!

Haleigh was able to get my puppy in very quickly for a grooming, she is also very knowledgeable and helpful when I asked questions about pricing and the packages. Caitlyn was very nice when I brought my dog in and groomed her exactly the way I requested and my dog was not clawing me when I picked her up (which is a major plus)!!! Treats and grooming packages are super affordable. I will not take my dog anywhere else anymore!

Re-visited this place and they finally put up pricing for the Treat Bar and when we first visited we paid almost 21 dollars for treats. which come to find out its 1oz per x $1.25 which is very expensive but I guess with the overhead they have to rip people off. Lucky I am not actually paying for these items and someone gave me a gift card and once that is done I would never shop at this place.

I went here in hopes for a dog bakery for a birthday celebration for my 3 gsd pups. Its in Avondale so parking is very limited on that road. The place was very nice and so were the staff. They had exactly what i was looking for. They sell many baked goods, toys , some dog foods and grooming products as well. I would definitely go back for a treat for my babies.

Love it. They have a lot of home made treats for dogs. Yes, some are grain free. They even have natural ingredients dog and cat food. Lots of toys and some clothing. Got my not so little pup a little cupcake birthday cake and he loves it plus a toy. He chose the toy over the cupcake but he loves it.

A great experience since the shop first opened. They are the only shop conviently close to me that carries the large 30lb bag of canine food brand Victor- Particularly the Grain Free Hero Canine line. Overall the shop is simple, very well kept and the staff is always kind and knowledgeable.

This place is super cute!! I've found some really fun toys and treats here. It's so expensive for what you'll get though. It cost me nearly $60 for two stuffed toys and two littlei treats. Definitely a special occasion thing - unless you're wealthier than the average Joe.

Tried this place today Staff was nice but i want be returning i didnt like my puppies hair cute at all i specified what i wanted cut and other parts where cut and uneven she doesnt even look like the same dog gave 3 stars because staff was nice n place was nice and clean

Sold me expired dog food and refused to exchange it. All of there staff was extremely rude. Works out good thou because my puppies food is alot cheaper at Pet Supermarket so i will end up saving more money even after getting ripped off for a expired bag of dog food

Took my two doodles to be groomed this morning, this was my second time to this location and they did not disappoint, my boys were looking really dapper, they didnt rush and they didn't take any shortcuts. Hard to find quality groomers these days.

The groomer and the front of the house staff are both so sweet, especially when you bring in a giant baby who is nervous to have his nails clipped. They do great work quickly and with care! Would definitely recommend grooming services and treats.

I didnt buy anything the store is so unique my 3 year old thought it was a candy shop lol. We walked around and the ladies working were very nice even though they knew i was just allowing my kid to walk around. Will return once i get her a puppy.

Visiting town we found this gem. They took amazing care of our pups and their front desk girl was nothing short of attentive and friendly! She made great recommendations and we left with two happy fur babies. We will be back in our next visit!

This was a great little pet store. Has a great variety of pet treats organic and regular. My dog really loved the sweet potato chew that was like a rawhide bone.
