"There’s a lady in there ie the manager woman whose sooo rude to the outside community or to the people who use the surrounding park where the library is located it’s a wonder anyone wants to go in there, she calls police on children who are having a simple water fight outside the premises she complains about people gathering in the park with their families, and she’s always acting like she own the perimeter, she’s very rude to her staff choosing to talk at them instead of to them, arrogant and obnoxious is an understatement"
"Has people people smoking weed, cooking BBQS and drinking right outside all day long and the police or wandsworth council will not do anything about it because they are scared to"
"I attended a Baby rhyme time session on Friday"
"Local library which is great for children, with toilets and meeting rooms"
"Lovely little Library with very helpful staff"
There’s a lady in there ie the manager woman whose sooo rude to the outside community or to the people who use the surrounding park where the library is located it’s a wonder anyone wants to go in there, she calls police on children who are having a simple water fight outside the premises she complains about people gathering in the park with their families, and she’s always acting like she own the perimeter, she’s very rude to her staff choosing to talk at them instead of to them, arrogant and obnoxious is an understatement. No wonder the kids would rather be outside then there reading as a kid I used to love the library but if I was a kid and she was there my mum would be writing me sick notes just I wouldn’t have to go in there...if adults who are ment to be the face of a learning facility are disrespectful to the young youths in the community how are you expecting them to have respect for you? Sack her she’s horrible
Has people people smoking weed, cooking BBQS and drinking right outside all day long and the police or wandsworth council will not do anything about it because they are scared to. Dont believe me? Then see for yourself, complain to Wandsworth council and see what they tell you.. They openly admit they are scared to go there and stop it. What happened to the community dispersal orders they place on other areas? Try to cook a bbq in Battersea park or drop a bit of litter and they'll be all over you with fines and court dates like you've commited the worst crime in history.
I attended a Baby rhyme time session on Friday. Ideal for children aged 0-2 years with lots of songs, actions and rhymes for little ones to enjoy. It lasted about 30 minutes and didn’t want it to end as we had so much fun. It started promptly and there was sufficient props and musical instruments to keep the little ones entertained.
Local library which is great for children, with toilets and meeting rooms. I attended an event on starting a business as part of the start up Wandsworth events (in conjunction with the Business & IP centre at the British library).
Lovely little Library with very helpful staff. Especially Davide and Lesley. Daily papers, computers and events for local residents. Check opening times online prior to visiting as it is closed some mornings.
Really friendly and well informed staff. Baby rhyme time group is brilliant (and free) - its lively and well organised, the lady who runs it is a darling and should work with children full time :)
Have been visiting this library for many years. It's quite small but great selection of books for the little one and reservations easily obtained from the Lavender Hill site.
Today no very good experience for the lockdown. That is an absurd! Be there half hour only so today the computer was not working! Oh my God! Entirely absurd
Things have changed here now that you are not required to wear a mask, it's almost back to normal, so happy for that, I come here for a weaving class.
Super. Literary Haven. Lots of space to read and study on the spot. More than in other libraries. Beautifully situated in small green - York Gardens.
Excellent service. A huge, "Thank you", to Leslie, who went an extra mile, to get me a book I wanted to borrow. She is a credit to this library.
Great local community centre with hall for hire, library with children's area and computer room.
Great staff, we hire the space for a Birthday party, they are amazing!
It looks good but plants needs care and the grass needs water.
Very nice library. The staff was very helpful and polite.
