Worst experience ever with zenhotels! We booked 1 room for 4 nights for New Year Eve but close to our departure on the 28th of Dec the Turkish Gov changed the policy for foreigner tourist and asked for a negative covid test. Obviously there was no time to book a test, to be tested and get the results, all in 24hrs so we kindly asked zenhotels to ammendment our dates. The've contacted Sura Hotels Istanbul and firstly they've asked us what dates we would like. We choose sometime in March. Excellent I said. All good. And I've been waiting for an answer... And waiting... And waiting. Nothing. Nearly 3 weeks passed by. And than they've asked me if I was positive or if I've been hospitalised, to provide proof of that. Then I explained again that I couldn't come due to a short notice of a required covid test to enter Turkey. Then zenhotel final answer: "The hotel has finally informed us that unless there is a medical reason which is not the case in this case, they will not make any offering of future stays.". Therefore they changed their minds after they initially asked me the dates we wanted to change to, after saying" April it's unavailable but March is fine". That's how zenhotels and Sura Hotels Suits Istanbul is treating their customers. That's how they both understands a difficult situation 2 people are going through. That's how they learned to do business and respect their turists... By lying to them 3 weeks and finally cut them off. However this is a lesson learned. We will never go through zenhotels again. Booking.com it's the way forward!!! We will never book at Sura Hotels Istanbul again We will probably never visit Istanbul due to this disgraceful experience we had so far...
I rarely leave reviews, particularly negative reviews. I just generally let things slide, but this was actually the most unprofessional customer service experience I have ever had. The agent continually cut my wife and I off in conversation, she was perpetually rude, they don't have a manager on call in the middle of the afternoon, she couldn't transfer us to anyone. Will never book through them again. Update: This is getting more interesting. They told me they could not issue a refund because the hotel has charged us. I have written confirmation from the hotel that no charge took place. When I called back, I was told that they need to speak to their "suppliers." When I asked who and what that meant, I was told they couldn't say because they have a "non-disclosure agreement" with their suppliers. Not sure what to do with that, but clearly this is a scam. Will be reporting to the BBB.
Do not book your vacation with Zen ! I still cannot believe their attitude towards their customers. They refuse to reimburse me or even give me any kind of voucher or compensation for the booking that was cancelled not because of my fault. This only shows how much they care about their customers! I suggest that you never book anything with them. They keep throwing me back to the hotel , but the hotel insists that Zen is the one refusing to refund or offer a voucher for this cancelled trip. I ordered from you why are you throwing the responsibility on others? What kind of attitude is that? To just keep our money although all flights were cancelled and there was no way to use this booking. What a bad way to run a business! I'm having really bad experience with ZenHotels. A week ago we made a reservation for a hotel in Sozopol, Bulgaria. I've paid for the reservation in advance and when I got to the hotel I was surprised with the news that the reservation did not go through . The hotel was overbooked . It was a nightmare to find another accommodation. Finally we were able to reserve in another hotel. So now I want my money back but after a week still have no confirmation from ZenHotels. They still "working" on it. Probably will have to open a dispute with my credit card if I don't get refund within a week. So don't use this site if you want to have a zen vacation!
Stay away from ZenHotels! Its a Scam. After we booked they confirmed but the hotel didnt know about any request. One week ago they write an email with apologizing that is the fault of the hotel. But we stay in contact with the hotel and they got no booking request from ZenHotel. This was just the beginning: ZenHotel rebooked us to a downgrade in another hotel. The original was still on sales for the same prise. They have an automatic reply in emails that they are working on your case but no solution! It was just horrible! I called and sent about 50 Emails. Dont book there! Its their business how they lie and cheat customers!!
Had a wonderful experience booking my hotel room through ZenHotels .com. Their website is easy to use and navigate, and they have a good selection of hotels to choose from. The best part is that their rates are very reasonable and I was able to book a room at a great price. I had a few questions about my booking and I was able to get in touch with their support team easily. They were very responsive and helpful, and I appreciated the fact that they were available 24/7. Overall, I would definitely use ZenHotels .com again and recommend them to others looking for a good choice of hotels and favorable rates.
I made a reservation in the Zen Hotel website through the Trip Advisor website for 4 nights in hard rock hotel in London , after the booking I read bed reviews describing them as a scam and other bad things so I stressed, then I made an inquiry with their customer service and the hotel customer service, the order was received properly and received a quick response from them, Their price was excellent and the service very kind and fast, my personal experience so far is excellent
Überhaupt nicht empfehlenswert. Obwohl Buchung kostenlos stornierbar war, wird das Geld auch nicht nach einem sehr kundenunfreundlichen langwierigen Verfahren erstattet. Update: Geld wurde erstattet. Aber erst nach endlosen Mails, zwei ausgefüllten und unterschriebenen Formularen und negativen Bewertungen. Ich wurde dann noch zwei Mal gebeten die Bewertung zu löschen. Unfassbar! Vielleicht sollte man soviel Arbeitskraft in den Kundenservice und die Rückerstattung investieren!
My husband made a booking reservation and the CC company flagged it as fraud. Once we saw that, my husband called zenhotels and explained what was going on and was asked to give the new CC info since the old account was flagged. Ultimately the original reservation was there, and we currently have ONE reservation but now we have TWO credit card charges. We have contacted both the CC Company and Zenhotels and have yet to have the double charge removed.
SCAM. We lost over $300. Once we arrived at the hotel they were unable to find the reservation. They used the reservation number, pretty much everything to try to find the reservation but nothing. They concluded that we were scammed and felt bad for us and said that it has happened a couple of times already. We had to pay once again but horrible experience trying to call them. don’t bother with this site.
I was looking for a travel company that could provide me with reasonable hotel room rates because I travel for work very frequently. I found ZenHotels .com, and I was impressed by their choice of hotels. The prices they were able to provide me made me extremely delighted, too. They provide me with fantastic customer service and are always accessible to assist me with any problems I may encounter.
Cancelled my hotel booking 3 days before date, sent an email to inform me, which is pretty usless as I didn't have a dfata connection where i was at the time, didn't even bother with a call. Only found out as I had a family emergency that required me to travel 50 miles to access wifi/email. Zero points for customer service, book elsewhere for a stress free holiday.
I have been told that the third party, which is zenhotel, card was declined and that they cancelled the two reservation they made when I only reserved the hotel once. I am in the hotel front desk area because customer service told me they will eventually send me an email. They will not transfer me to anyone and they have one person on the line.
I have used zen hotels a couple of times and have always been very happy with the service. I had to book a room on a free cancellation basis. Unfortunately I did have to cancel the room. Zen hotels refunded the full amount back to my credit card within 3 days. Very impressed with their efficiency Will definitely use again.
A joke and a half - never provided roor requitements to the hotel which means I got a pokey little room instead of the private appartment requested. Also extremely concerning is their insistance on provision of Credit Card details on a written form as an email attachment - stone age stuff and incredibly insecure.
I made a reservation for the hotel from here. They made the reservation for the wrong date. When I went to the hotel, the hotel could not change the reservation date. I could never reach here, whoever I called didn't pick up. I had to pay for the hotel twice. I'm not getting my money back. I paid over 200 euros.
I would give minus five if I could! Booked hotel and paid full for a week. Came to the hotel. Hotel ca not charged the virtual card ZenHotel provided. Waited for a loooong time at tje hotel lobby with my family after 6 hours of travel!!! Will mever ever use ZenHotels for any booking even if I is free!!!
Betrüger Firma!! die unsere Urheberrechte verletzt!!, da Sie alte Fotos von unserem Hotel benutzen und diese in eigenen Namen auf unserem Google Maps Eintrag posten um Werbung für sich zu machen. Zudem Rufschädigend, da es unser Hotel von vor 15 Jahren Zeigt. Seitdem wurde es zweimal renoviert!
Aucune compation pour une annulation de dernière minutes. Nous sommes le 15.01.2024 20h20, je dois malheureusement annulé une réservation pour le 18.01.2024. Impossible selon le service client car l' annulation était possible que jusqu'à 2h00 le 15.01.2024
Terrible service, they gave me a wrong reservation, they changed my date. and they did not give me a solution to modify it. nor to cancel it for free. Minutes after the reservation I made the claim, and they never gave me a solution. AWFUL…

Same experience as everyone else on here… they won’t let me cancel my reservation even though it was COVID related. Over $900 wasted. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!
