It's been about 8 months now since I've had my gorgeous chihuahua Petunia. My experience in the store was a pleasant one, the owners were attentive to my questions and concerns. The store itself feels kind of crowded and stuffy though. They sent me home with instructions and a bag full of puppy necessities which was great. The only problem is that when I first got her, she had a persistent hacking cough that was really bad especially in the night. I brought it to the owners attention and he said to bring her for her free vet check up. I live in upstate New York so I didnt want to keep going back and forth as it is about a hour drive. I took her to my local vet and they prescribed her an antibiotic, which helped for a few days, but then her hacking came back full force. I tried using an air humidifier right next to her crate to help her breathing, I even switched to all natural scent free detergents to clean her bedding. Nothing was working, so my vet then prescribed doxycycline for dogs and she hasn't had the problem since. I will say that when you purchase a puppy from here, you will likely have some kennel cough issues with your puppy in the beginning, but a stronger antibiotic may do the trick as it did for mine. She is now healthy, happy and cough free! I love her so much and with the proper training and socialization, she is the most well behaved chihuahua I've ever known! I also wanted to mention that I purchased her for about $2000 during the pandemic, which is a way better deal than most of the other pet shops with their incredibly high "covid fees". I went to my local pet shop here in upstate and they wanted double the price for a chihuahua due to "covid fees". Thank you Zoo-Rama!

Do not buy puppies, kittens, or any animal from a pet store, including this one. An animal being “USDA certified” means absolutely nothing. The USDA does not enforce even the very little regulations there are on puppy mills. They do not have the man power to check the 10,000+ mills in this country and they have blacked out all breeder info/ license # on their website to the public. The mistreatment of these animals is horrific. Think about this... where are the mill mom dogs that gave birth to these puppies you plan to buy at the store or online?... still at a mill living in deplorable conditions, being inhumanely treated with little to no food or water, no medical care, no exercise, cramped in small cages with wire flooring and force to have litter, after litter, after litter with no break in between... and I am sugar coating it, things are much worse for these poor innocent animals. Does the mill mom who birthed these puppies not deserve a loving life? Mill dogs are viewed as livestock/profit, once they can no longer produce they are inhumanely discarded. This has to end now. DO NOT SUPPORT PET SHOPS OR ONLINE RETAILERS, it is all just a pleasant front to sell sell sell for profit. This is a difficult topic but I beg you, please do your research, educate yourself and everyone you know. All the information on puppy mills is out there and very easily accessible.

Let me tell you hands down no denying it, you want a puppy this is the place you need and must go. The selection of puppies are insane . It’s almost impossible to make a decision on what kind of dog you would want unless you came already with a breed in mind. Jay was one of the store employees and his knowledge, his patience and kindness goes along way when it comes to helping you make a choice and selection, he helps you grasp the true understanding in what it means to own a puppy, the love and responsibility it takes to be a owner.. The woman behind the desk wasn’t much for words but her grace and welcoming personality goes a long way with the treatment you get here. The puppies and their health matter to them more then any amount of money you offer them. She gave us so much stuff with the purchase of the dog that I couldn’t believe it. The outfit down to toys and food where all a plus/add on for free.. Even the price for our pure breed compared to what we know is out there was also a bonus for what we got.. I’m so glad that we came here. The Guarantee and peace of mind you get is priceless. I am soooo in love with my baby from Zoo Rama. The experience of purchasing was wonderful. My kids were allowed to play with multiple dogs until they finally chose our tiny white Maltipoo. We signed the papers and were given toys, treats, food for about 2 months, a bed, bowls and a folder of detailed instructions (feeding, care, a free vet visit from a vet very near by, vaccine info etc.) Oh! And our baby is pre-micro chipped. All I had to do was visit the website to register the chip which costs a one time fee of $26. No other fees required ever again. I took her to the free vet visit just 4 days after purchasing her. You have up to 14 days to take your pet to the visit. I believe this is for health guarantee purposes. They gave her a full exam and even a fecal test. Everything was negative. If you want a blood test, that is an extra cost. She came with most vaccines. All she needed was to compete the parvo vaccine series as most puppies do. Everything went perfectly with Zoo Rama from staff to the health of my baby. She’s super tiny and so cute. Thank you.

I can say so many wonderful things about this place. One thing for sure is they have outstanding workers who each deliver excellent customer service. They also allow you to bond with the puppy you are eyeing to take home. No one tries to force a sale on you as other places have done to me. The dogs are definitely well taken care of and they have many breeds to choose from. I took home a Pomsky and my sister took home a German Shepard. I usually come across people trying to sell overpriced Pomskies but it wasn’t the case at this location. The prices are definitely fair, they also work with another company if you wish to finance your new puppy. Once we bought our pups here it wasn’t just over and done with it. The owners provide resources and recommendations so make sure to ask questions because they are really helpful! If you are in a borough outside of the Bronx, trust me it’s great to take a journey to this pet store to find your new fur baby. Honest review time! I had questions obviously about purchasing a puppy from a store, however with a lot of reading and phone calls, I felt better about making the big decision of officially homing a puppy with me! Let me say, since yesterday when me and my family made the decision to go ahead and get him, (we have been waiting for the perfect poodle), we got the perfect poodle! I named him Rudy! Here are some pictures! I love him so much! He is a miniature poodle and he's the best! He came with all of his paperwork plus the microchip!!! Wow! Thank you Zoo-Rama Pets! I've never been happier in my whole life! Rudy is a male, he's neutered and up to date on all vaccinations! Best decision I've ever made! Everyday I make sure he is secure safe happy and healthy! We got our first pet, Kody Bear from Zoo-Rama. The store was pretty busy with people in and out but the staff was professional and super helpful. Not to mention their prices were good reasonable compared to a lot of other places. We were in search for our hypoallergenic puppy and they made sure we made the right final choice with the miniature poodle. You get some time to watch how the dog behaves and hold them. The process was pretty easy, they ask for your drivers license and you sign the detailed paperwork on the dog which gives information on it’s breeder, vaccinations and the stores policy. Additionally, they provided a very helpful care package of treats, food, toys, wee wee pads and more. Reviews should really impact your decision, make sure you do your research before settling for an unreliable place. I highly recommend this place! Update 9/19 Kody is doing great (new photos added)!

I spent a lot of time researching different stores in the area and finally decided to check this place out in June. After visiting the store, I fell in love with a little Pomapoo pup who I brought home a month ago. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience at Zoo Rama. The staff was patient and well informed. The prices were more than fair (especially compared to another Bronx store that I’d been considering). The store itself was super clean and it was obvious that the puppies were well cared for and loved by the staff. I’ve had my puppy for a month now and I am so glad that Zoo Rama helped me find her. She’s healthy, cuddly, and very easy to train so I do believe they use reputable breeders. She came chipped and with her first round of shots already and they sent us home with a bag full of supplies to get us started. Thank you for everything Zoo Rama!

Honestly the best experience I could have asked for when buying my baby shih tzu from Jay. First the price of these adorable puppies are VERY reasonable! Secondly, Jay was friendly, helpful, understanding, and responsible. He started me off with a starter pack that came with a months supply of food, some wee wee pads, a bed for my baby, water/food bowl and some toys. He was so helpful with anything I was worried about even after purchase (via text) and really took care of my concerns when the fecal analysis came back positive. Jay generously offered to cover the expenses for medication and another fecal analysis. Truly there are no words to express how grateful I am to Zoo-Rama and JAY for making this so pleasant. I am so happy with them and I highly recommend. Zoo-rama also offers a free first comprehensive and fecal analysis! Amazing

Zoo Rama went above and beyond my expectations with my adoption experience. Not only were they incredibly knowledgeable and kind -- but they were also insanely patient, flexible and understanding. My first impression of this place was good and I was very excited to buy a puppy from here. I thought the people there seemed knowledgable and seemed to care about the pets. However, after only a day of having the puppy it was clear he had kennel cough. Kennel Cough is extremely dangerous, and although the pet shop paid the vet bill, my puppy is suffering terribly. You can not put a price on the health of these dogs. He couldn't eat, barely drank, barely slept. My older dog is now coughing and this is just terrible. When I went to the vet there were 2 other puppies from this shop that were also sick during that same week. That entire pet shop needs to be thoroughly sanitized all through before they put another puppy in one of those cages. I'm incredibly disappointed with this experience and I can not say I will be back again.

Geeetings everyone! I was very fortunate to find this place! I almost got scammed from an online website selling Yorkshire puppies, I was being charged 4,000 at another shop in the Bronx. I found ZooRama by reading a very negative review about another pet shop and the person recommended ZooRama. I drove over there with a quickness lol. My first impression walking in was positive. The shop looked clean, floors clean and the puppies and kennels clean. The staff was friendly, informative and patient. They allowed me to hold a cute little Yorkshire puppy . She was very playful, smelled good and smart! Since she was the last one I believe that the universe kept her just for me. I am picking her up Saturday! So excited. I made a very comfy puppy bed for her! Thank you so much ZooRama!!!

Zoo Rama is the best pet store by any means! I have purchased 2 amazing puggles from them and both are healthy and amazing dogs! Every time I go in; they are always very welcoming and will answer any questions you may have about your dog. Both owners were very professional and helpful the 2 times I received my pups and were a pleasure to work with! Each of my pups were fully healthy upon receiving them and the veterinary plan they have with Bronx Veterinary Center is great as well! Zoo Rama is a great choice to purchase your first pup and I strongly recommend that if you are looking are a puppy you should go here. The owners are friendly and take care of the animals. They are very knowledgeable about each animal. Our little buddy got a small cough, they immediately took him back for a few days to treat him and he is all better now, hopping all over the place! Okay my previous review is how I originally felt. But our little buddy got kennel cough and I'm guessing was not completely treated. He had to be rushed to the vet and given antibiotics that he have to take for 7 days. Kennel cough is very contagious and will happen in a crowded pet shop. The owners have offered to refund the vet bill since we just got him less than a month ago. Make sure to wash all of the dogs items. Blanket, toys and bed.

This Pet shop is hands down the best place I’ve been to, they have a variety of dogs breeds the staff are excellent, their communication is amazing, I was waiting for them to get Boston Terriers for months and the manager kept in touch with me and always answered any questions or concerns I had. When the Boston Terriers came in they let me know asap and before I knew it my partner and I were bringing home our baby boy. They were extremely helpful when it came to financing and it all around was just an amazing experience. This is the second dog I got from them so now I have my 2 babies happy and healthy with their help and with the free first vet visit certificate they provide.

The people here are very kind, polite and generous. May they be blessed for the way they treated me. I walked in there concerned because my older dog had a relentless itch. It was a Saturday evening and I did not know where to go. I explained the problem to them and they very patiently and attentively took the time to provide helpful advice on how to soothe my dear pet; gave me the number to a vet who provides free consultation and even handed me a free sample of healthy food, in case the one I give the dog is the cause of the issue. What a difference those people made! Thank you sir and lady.

This is by far the best pet store I've ever come across. I purchased my Siberian husky from here. The quality of the breeds they sell is superb. The animals come with all of their paperwork and they even get their first set of shots and are spayed/neutered. The owners are some of the most nicest and honest people I've come across. They provided me with so many free things to take for my puppy when they didn't have to. They really helped me out. I will be referring all of my friends and family who want pets to go here. Zoo-Rama pet store is an extremely reputable and trusting company.

Purchased my Boxer (Mynx) from them 5 yrs ago and they are wonderful. Management and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They offer different payment plans. A vet comes in and provide quality care treatment for prevention and long lasting health of the animals. As you know, many laws have change but this business surpasses the expectation of the government. I highly recommend them not because they sold me a great dog but because they’re always available to help. I’m confident that they will answer all of your questions, worries and ways to keep your future dog absolutely healthy!

I bought my puppy from this location a few months ago and have no complaints at all. I usually inspect pet stores for cleanliness & how well the dogs are maintained before buying & I was not disappointed. I quickly noticed how the staff fully interacts with all the puppies cleaning the cages periodically, & there was no odor or smell & all the puppies appeared healthy & happy. The staff seems to really care & have a genuine love for pets. I even return periodically for grooming at the premises as well. My pet is now a happy addition to my family. I highly recommend this pet store.

5 stars all around. Me and my family have been wanting a dog for a long time. All the staff were very nice and helpful and the they made it very easy for us to get the dog. They give you a number so you can text them with any questions and a lot of free items to help you get started plus a free visit to the vet as soon as you get the dog. My cousin got a dog from this store just 2 weeks ago and he highly recommended it to me and now i too have a dog and i also highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new addition to their family. :)

I want to start off by saying this place is the secret gem to getting a pet in the bronx . The staff is truly the kindest and most helpful to getting your pets needs met . Grooming is also available and I was so satisfied I had to write this review . My pet was is in completely competent and loving hands . So I got there super early to get my yorkie a haircut.. Had no idea that I was gonna walk away with a brand new addition to my family not only did I walk away with a beautiful yorkie mix but the service was phenomenal. They were very informative honest and patient I would not hesitate to go there again in fact I will be returning so my Yorkie can get his 1st haircut. I'm so pleased that this location was Recommend to me. You cannot beat their prices And they genuinely care about their animals. 1st class service I received.

I walked in one day hoping to buy a puppy but I didn't cause the prices were a bit too high for me and the breed I want wasn't there. But I have to say, the staffs were so nice to me and made me feel comfortable. They even took a puppy out of the crate and let me hold it without asking which was even nicer. If I have to buy a puppy in the future, it's going to be from here. Also prices are $1,200 and up. (Don't know if it changed but go check it out yourself. It's honestly a great experience even if you're not buying.)

I got both my miniature schnauzers at Zoorama and honestly it was the best decision I made to get both my boys from there I’m very happy with the choice made. The owner makes sure your dogs are healthy and well taken care of before they go home and when you’re ready to take them home she provides you with medicine for them and explains to you how you can care for them. The staff are nice and the place is very well put, if I could've bought another puppy I would’ve got my third Miniature from there love the place

Great place! I found Zoorama by researching locations by us. What really called out to me is that the owners are quick to respond to reviews which much of the other places i looked into didn’t have. Me and my family went on Saturday and fell in love with a little Shihtzu pup. The employees were friendly and very informative about how to take care of the puppy once we took them home. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a puppy in their lives. Very fortunate to have found this place.

Zoo-Rama, the BEST PLACE TO BUY YOUR FIRST PET! We purchased our Oreo (American Cocker-spaniel)in 2021, and man, ooh man, we are in love with her! The owner was so pleasant and patient with me and my many questions and concerns. He even answered my phone calls after business hours. She was only 6 weeks old when we got her. If you are thinking about bringing home another family member home, this is the place to get your family member! He is willing to work with you with the price.

I got my new puppy at ZooRama a few weeks ago and it was a great experience. She has been healthy, energetic, and friendly and all the free gear and supplies we got at ZooRama (food, vitamins, toys, wee pads and even a referral to a vet) really helped in taking care of her in her first weeks with us. Would recommend getting a pet here! Update: I got my puppy Rei spayed and ZooRama covered the full cost of the surgery. I would say getting a pet here is a good investment.

We have had our puppy for a month now and he is an amazing addition to the family. I would recommend to anyone new looking to own a puppy or existing pet owners. The owner was very knowledgeable, caring, and respectful with us. He understood what we wanted and helped us greatly. He made sure that the dog was healthy and ready to go home. He gave us all the info pertaining to the puppy (breeder, vaccines, etc.) We will definitely purchase another puppy in the future.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would with no hesitation! My family and I have always wanted to buy a pup and were hesitant about certain places during our searches. However, once we found Zoo Rama I can assure you that the staff there, (shout out to jay!) made us feel very comfortable with our purchase. I Loved Zoo-Rama Pets. This is great place to buy a pet for your family. I just got my havapoo dog for a reasonable price, I was explained so well on how to take care for my puppy and what to do to keep her safe and healthy. All the animals in the store very well taken care of and clean. Excelente service a lot of selection of puppies to buy. The staff is excellent .the owner is very friendly and helps you with all your needs. I definitely recommend it.

I did not go to visit this Store. I went by the reviews. I called and a nice woman asked how she could help. She informed me that she just sold a Cavalier 2 weeks ago, but will call Breeder and find out when another may be available. There was excessive barking so a bit hard to hear, but if they do get my favorite Breed in, I will go. Her price was so resonable as well, compared to NY Breeder Pet Store. I will follow up this week and update.

Me & my girlfriend both bring our Dogs (Max) (Mylo) here, the owners without a doubt have a passion for treating everyone's dogs with love. I didn't get the chance to rate them prior until today but, I drove here knowing what I'd be getting out of them. You can trust your pets going to this location; plus they'll throw in little things for you to take home with your dog when you need it, which is genuine. Thank you again Until next time!

Please don't support puppy stores. These animals come from puppy mills. These are puppy mill dogs. Not well taken care off. Their mothers love pathetic lives in filth. Half of the dogs transported to puppy stores from puppy mills don't even make it barely alive. This store has been selling puppy mill dogs for way too long. Do your research. Cheap dogs come with health issues are puppy mill dogs. No matter what a "certificate" says

The location is clean, puppy selection is good. Not many other animals besides an African Grey bird that's not for sale. However, I have to say, there's a wild collection of cactuses in the shop and it's a fantastic sight if you're into that kind of thing. Otherwise, staff is friendly. Peta are well kept, they offer many pet supplies including tanks and miscellaneous dog grooming supplies. Also, prices on pets are pretty fair.

I did my homework before choosing a place to buy my puppy best decision I ever made this place is legit very clean they gave me a $200 dollar of my puppy one month of food vitamins toys bowls pee wee pads all the paperwork for the puppy up to date with shots owner was very nice we ended up buying 2 puppies they where sisters I recommend this place if I could give them 10 stars I would thank you so much zoo Rama ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I purchased my dog (Chestnut) a few months ago from Zoo- Rama Pets. He recently turned one year old in human years. Chestnut is my first dog ever. We purchased the cutest Pomeranian from Zoo Rama his name is teddy. The staff was so sweet and they gave us some wee wee pads a dog bed and some dog food, which was very sweet as most pet shops don’t do that to customers. i went to get a puppy for my daughter and this place was amazing they are very helpful but not pushy they helped me a lot with the financial application so i can take the puppy home, they gave me a lot of free food and pads to cover weeks with my new puppy, a free vet visit, and all the dogs paper work and NYc license and also they got in contact with me days after to fallow up how we were doing 100% happy

This place has changed my life forever! I got my Shih Tzu puppy from here, almost a year ago and he’s amazing! The customer service is great they care for and show your support and check in throughout your puppy journey. I love that they remember you and treat you like family every time you come in. This is one of the best pet shops I’ve ever gotten a pet from! When I got my puppy, they were extremely helpful with payment plans, communication and were very responsive. When my puppy got sick they helped out immensely with the vet and insured she was healthy and taken care of as well as checking in on her. My little one is happy and healthy!! Best experience buying a puppy for my family the owners allow my 3yr old son to play with multiple Puppies until he found the one he wanted. They was so kind, knowledgeable about the puppies. The owner provide all documents for our new family member. They also provide us with stuff for the pup like food,toys ect... I highly recommend zoo-Rama if you looking for a puppy

My experience at Zoorama was amazing I brought a teddy bear for my son’s 10th birthday. The people are super nice and very knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable compare to other pet shops. I purchased my toy poodle from Zoo-rama in July of 2022 for a very good deal. She is super sweet and very friendly and pretty much pad strained. No health issues at all. I was given plenty of food both dry and wet, pads, collar and bowls for about 2 months. They also pay for her to get spayed. I am very satisfied and I highly recommend Zoo-Rama Pets.

This place is amazing, their customer service is wonderful. They gave us food, pads, vitamins, and even a guide as to how we should raise the puppy. They have reasonable prices and are willing to negotiate as well as a large selection of dogs to choose from. Overall this place is just great I could not recommend more.

I want to give an update.I brought a white female chichuchua at Zoo Rama Pet Shop.I was mislead by the owner Mr.Jay's kindness.He sold me a sick puppy. She came to my home with parasites and scabies, that's very contagious to other pets and humans. Be safe and don't by pets at Zop Rama Pet Shop..Dont be fooled.

I like going there to buy my Sheba inu (Lucy) dry food and foodcans as well. Every 2 to 3 months I take my dog to get her nails trimmed without any problem. Staff is friendly always; the best place to buy a pet I recommend anyone. I brought my Lucy 2 yr ago qnd she is healthy from day one to present.
