This place boasts some of the best cafe drinks in the city… but only when certain employees are making them. I’ve been here so many times (because my wife loves the mocha de olla and I love me some cafe de olla) and the disparity of drink flavour between the employees is sometimes massive. We’ve noticed this especially with the chocolate-based drinks. One employee could make the most delicious drink, whereas another might give you a tasteless milky mess instead. It’s a strange phenomenon. The lengths between my excitement when I see the two or three people working that I know do a great job and my disappointment when it’s anyone else is huge. I think better quality control for those other employees would really help and would make me want to visit even more frequently. We don’t live super close by, so it’s always disappointing for us when we arrive after a long drive and get a bad drink when it had the potential to be great if someone else had made it.
What a lovely cafe. It has the cutest eclectic vibe, and the service is outstanding. The cafe owner runs it with her husband and she was the most pleasant and went out her way to give us an extension cord to plug in our laptops to get some work done. The music is soft and pleasant, big windows with lots of sun and the whole cafe smells of fresh baking. Perfect to get some Sunday work done. The back portion of the cafe is set up as a small showcase for local artists and goodies. Which is-covered almost floor to ceiling with little trinkets ranging from earnings to unique handmade bags and kitsch cutsie stationary. We tried this cafe through the coffee pass program, which I'm glad we made the drive for. It looks like they have a great little patio out back, and I can't wait to come back in the summer for a coffee & treat.

A fantastically rare find… We ordered a Xocolatl and a Cafe Olle… the first changed the way I see a Hot Chocolate (a little spice and chilies go a long way), and the second was the best ‘black coffee’ I’ve ever had. I love lattes and creamy coffee drinks but I didn’t even want to add any milk to this. Hot and delicious. The Mexican food was fantastic and filling and the service as friendly and professional as it gets. We’ll be back. A lot. We left with a bag of Cocoa powder that I’ve been enjoying in my morning mochas every day since. PS. The shop is not easy to see and the current construction in front makes it tricky to find. I hope they’ll get some good signage soon. They definitely deserve to be busy…!

Absolutely love ch. !! This hidden gem of a coffee and chocolate shop in Edmonton is a must try! Family owned and operated, they offer a wide variety of hot and cold beverages (with non-dairy milk alternatives) as well as desserts and hot food. Their chocolate is amazing, especially the hand dipped salted caramels and the dark vadar mousse. So good!! It's also nice you can support local artists with their offerings in store and the owners are always so friendly. If you haven't been to ch. yet, what are you waiting for?

We, along with our friends, visited Ch. Cafeteria for the first time today. We enjoyed Cafe Olla, spicy, but not too spicy, and a flavourful black coffee. All were perfect as were the chocolate cake, the banana nut chocolate cake and the hazelnut cookie with chocolate chips. Yummy! We relaxed on cozy comfy seating and we spent a good portion of time enjoying the ambience of this delightful place. We'll definitely be back.

Great atmosphere, colourful walls and decor, nice calming music with a good volume to be able to speak over. The service was also excellent, the man at the front was patient with us and was very kind. Unfortunately, the chilaquiles were a bit of a disappointment, expensive, small portion and very liquidy. First off, it was 15$ with a small portion and a little amount of chicken. My biggest concern was the green salsa there was so much that my chips were floating in it and very soggy. Otherwise, my hot chocolate was very good.

I picked up the blonde pecan chocolate bar and a couple of the golden mezcal truffles from Ch. today. Just so delicious. The blonde bar had a great balance of sweet and salty, and the candied pecans add a delightful crunch. I love that the chocolate is packaged in slabs - it's simple, and it allows the natural beauty of the chocolate to shine through. Truffles were delicious as well, silky smooth. The personnel (I assume the owners) were friendly, and they have made a beautiful, welcoming space. I live in the neighbourhood and I am so excited to have a beautiful, artisanal chocolate shop close by.
Unsurprisingly, their milk chocolate and white chocolate mocha is phenomenal. Definitely need to go back to try their mint and hazelnut mocha. Haven't had the opportunity to try anything from their food menu, but did try their banana bread. It was great, but definitely prefer it more without the nuts. The seating/retail area can get quite lively on the weekends.

Saw this place on the local news and decided to check it out , absolutely fantastic, personal amigable nice little menu excelente flavors from Mexico, I tried the xocolatl which is caliente y picante (hot and spicy) very unique flavors and will definitely warm you up , this will be my new go to establishment for Mexican coffee and treats , remember to always support our local businesses and a note to the owner your going to need alot more outdoor tables jajaja !!!
A west end gem! This place is unique and offers top quality products. The atmosphere is cool, the staff are friendly and helpful, and I’ve had several different drinks and they’re all great- hot chocolate, cafe de olla, chaicolate! They have a cute little gift shop too! I bought all my friends some of the chocolate bars for Christmas and they all adored it and went for a visit themselves. Please help keep this place alive!! The chocolate truffles are incredible.
Great gem that we recently discovered and are so happy we did! Coffee is great with options of unique and tasty Mexican fusion drinks. Chocochai is delicious, as are the sweet treat options. They also make their own varieties of chocolate bark which are all so delicious. But most of all, the owners are so lovely and welcoming…this will be a new regular spot for us! Oh and the coriander-almond chocolate bark was very much on point. What a great flavour pairing!
Stopped by for the first time. Everything I tried was very good. Chocolate, desserts, and coffees. Good selection of things to try. Very friendly and helpful owners Nice welcoming interior. Chocolate is a bit pricey, desserts fair value, coffees good value. Excellent experience. Will definitely be coming back. Wish this new business well. Another good coffee shop in the west end. West end went from having pretty much zero good coffee shops to many now.
Great food, drink and friendly service usually by the local owners. Some food, chocolate and drinks with tasty Mexican influences. Some outside seating and ample space inside. Nice cosy decor. Easy to find on Stoney plain road east of 149 st.

Good parking in the strip mall or nearby street.
They didn't have chai chocolate frappe and they didn't have green tea. Ended up getting a dark chocolate frappe, and it was okay, tasted like cocoa in a frappe. The macha tea tasted, meh. Putting a tablespoon of macha in water isn't my idea of a great experience. I won't be back. I didn't get any chocolate like I had planned before leaving, so no review on it.

I was finally able to go to CH Cafeteria, I have heard great things from friends. I pretty much went to get some chocolate. I tried the white chocolate with hibiscus - great flavor. Another friend had white chocolate with strawberries and it was really good. Some of my friends tried the coffee and again it was great, Since I am not a coffee drinker I did not have any. But overall, friendly stuff. Totally recommended.
Great cafe. Lots of coffees to choose from. Dozens of diff types of chocolates! Relaxed atmosphere. Probably my favourite - and right next door!!

Super cute, stopped in for a coffee for the first time and the lady there was so friendly. They have lots of different local handmade trinkets and gifts. The chocolate was delicious and the salted Carmel latte had so much flavour, by far one of the best little coffee shops I’ve been to in the city!

This lil cafe is wonderful. They support local coffee roasters, make their own delicious chocolate, and have lots of cozy places to either study, work or hang out with friends. Every time I’ve been here, the staff have been warm and friendly. There’s lots of parking nearby. Would highly recommend checking it out if you’re on the hunt for a new cafe.
Was recommended to try ch. by a colleague and I am so glad we did. The hot chocolates are delicious as well as their truffles and chocolate slabs. But a special shout-out needs to go to their chocolate desserts, because the dark chocolate dessert I had was something special, not to mention the two guys working there are so welcoming and polite
Loved the mocha de olla! I'll have to come back here. We also got the chilaquiles and some chocolates, which were also really good. What a cute little hole in the wall place!

We just opened our new shop in the neighbourhood and stopped in. Super pleasant folks, great prices and baked goods and they use REAL quality chocolate in everything, no cheap syrups here. Hands down one of the best coffees I've had. They also have a cool boutique of local artists goodies! Awesome all around.
This place is a chocolatier and they have homemade chocolate everything! Hot chocolate, truffles and I had a creamy chocolate dessert that was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted in my life. I can't stop thinking about it. A great place to meet a friend for a coffee or treat. Cool decor too.
Love this new cafe!! Stopped by for the first time and was amazed at the selection of delicious chocolates and desserts. I also got a "chaicolate" latte, which the lady at the front informed me was made with a handcrafted chai blend. Great experience overall and I can't wait to come back and try some more!
Definitely a new concept to me for a cafe to specialize in both coffee and chocolate. Well-pulled espresso shots and great selections of chocolate mix so well. To-go chocolate bags are also great. Tried the iced mocha and will definitely need to return at some point to try the hot chocolate too.
Love this cafe! The staff is so kind and the drinks and treats are amazing! Last year I even took my staff to try a chocolate tasting. What a fun and delicious experience. Not to mention we all learned some pretty cool information about chocolate. I highly recommend.

Delicious and unique coffee's, homemade chocolate bark in several flavors, and many other types of chocolate treats. I tried the pecan brownie and my friend had the Raul-a tasty chocolate and coffee mousse. The atmosphere is vary relaxed and friendly. I will return soon.
Decided to stop in and check this place out after hearing lots of positive things about it. The owner was soooo friendly and helpful! Delicious latte and even better chocolate. Definitely check them out if you’re in the market for great chocolate and amazing drinks.
Ch. has the best mocha I've had and has got to be at least one of the best in the city. Their chocolate goods are also top notch and the ambience is amazing once you step in. A hidden gem on stony plain rd for sure, so if you see it don't hesitate to drop in
Best Coffee. Best Chocolate. Amazing lunch (Chilaquiles). Great selection of little artisan craft and gift ware. But most of all amazing team working there. Always friendly and provide amazing service. I try to get there as often as I can! My little oasis.
The Chilaquiles are the best Ive had outside of Mexico! The chocolate is amazing as well as the coffee! Real cool art work and other items for sale! And absolutely amazing people!!! Support this business!!!!

Hand made chocolate and coffee all in one place! Victor and Nadia are the chocolatiers while Diego and Sarah are the friendly faces at the counter. They’re continually adding to their chocolate menu and are super friendly. Support local and BIPOC!

Chocolate is delish and unique. We tried a wide variety of artisan chocolate bars and they were all great. I was just going to write a list of personal faves, but then realized it included every one I've tried. So many unique flavours.
The only thing I love more than supporting small businesses is supporting small businesses that are cafes! Victor and Nadia are two amazing people who bring love to everything they do. I am thankful for their delicious chocolates and
I really enjoyed my café de olla and chocolates. My favourites were the salted caramel and margarita. The chilaquiles verdes and molletes were average. But I think it’s an absolutely wonderful place for a hot drink and sweet treat.
Cute little coffee/chocolate spot. I had the chilaquiles with chicken and it was very tasty. Loved the green salsa! We also had a chocolate mousse and we liked it so much that we grabbed another one to go. Very tasty, cute spot :)
Ch. for Chilaquiles! Local cafe that serves Brave Fox Coffee (they have their own Ch. blend)! Been here multiple times and their chocolates are phenomenal! Try their café de olla (Mexican spiced coffee), especially on a cold day!

Delicious! Coffee and treats are so good. They also have unique handmade chocolate bars/snacks. There is some indoor seating and a couple of small tables outside to enjoy the sunshine during the summer time.

My experience was unpleasant the staff was very rude to me. There was one girl working there that I couldn't believe, can talk that way to a customer. I will never be going back to this establishment again.
They only serve chilaquiles for savory food, and they’re amazing, totally worth the drive. Also the coffee is smooth and they have parfait/chocolate mousse cups that are delicious. Highly recommend
