A Cape Town gem! I've lost count of the number of times I have been here. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming that I feel like I am part of the family. They are accommodating and go out of their way for customers. The coffee is terrific and I personally love the choc chip cookies. I can also vouch for the bagels too. Enjoy!

6 tables, 5 were unoccupied so I decided to sit to finish a quick bite I got from Picnpay. Absolutely not. Not allowed to sit at a table (outside picknpay!!) so I sat on the pavement next to the table. Surely staff, if I didn’t buy there today, I might tomorrow. After the telling off I got from staff, I won’t ever. Nice one!

Ordered a flat white but it tasted like a Nescafé 3 in 1 sachet. It was too sweet and didn’t taste nice so I thought they mixed up my order. I went to ask the staff and apparently they only have plant based milk and did not say anything when I placed my order. Staff is friendly though. More

I am in LOVE with this place! My daughter and I went there this morning and the service was literally the best service we have experienced in a LONG time! Friendly and welcoming! We had two donuts and a coffee and I can’t eat anywhere else. It was DELICIOUS!! Thank you!!!

The service was great but the bagel was a bit dense for me. And they were all out of croissants. Coffee was okay. We sat down but nevertheless got paper cups which aren't my sort of thing. Of course the view is incredible! And we got a lovely spot of sunshine too.

I think this is a wonderful cafe, with absolutely the best people working there, every employee has a smile on their face and puts you first . It has the best pastries, coffee and bagel’s all homemade . I highly recommend this wonderful place.

Outrageously good coffee and croissant. Never had better anywhere in France. But the best thing about Maison J are the staff. Where does David find them? Their infectious smiles (pardon) single-handedly saved me during lockdown.
