This place seemed to have a cute vibe and I liked the interior. Though, with a name like semicolon cafe I expected a literary themed shop. I order a spinach cup pastry and an apple pastry. They were ok. I also ordered a flat white and a matcha bomb. The flat white was smooth while the matcha bomb constipated of a poor quality matcha that tasted like fish. The barista seemed chill, but also seemed poorly trained on the products that were being sold in the shop. One major thing that pus me off was the invasion of privacy towards the staff that worked there. The photo copies of the vaccination cards of every staff member was displayed on the pillar on the right of the cashier. These cards display full name and full date of birth. That is scary and a very bad situation for the workers to be in. Someone could easily use that for the worse. There should be a sign saying “all employees vaccinated” or something of the like and the copies of vaccination should be put in a designated binder in the back office with east accessibility in case an inspector needs to verify that covid rules are being followed. Why would any competent owner put their employed in harms way?
came here for two years as a customer, saw a sign in the window that said hiring and had the owner deny me a job on the spot based on my appearance, in spite of my 2.5 years experience in a higher volume cafe as a leader. she actually looked at me with disgust and i have never felt more discriminated against in a professional setting. couldn’t help but also notice their pending health grace which for those who don’t know, means they failed their health inspection and have a chance for reinspection, so i would be conscious of that as a consumer. so so disappointing to see hateful unwelcoming business owners stealing business from locals.

Cute coffee shop that you can study in. Wifi, outlets, and bathroom are all available. Their sandwiches not only look pretty but also taste amazing. They also have some pastries and shaved ice. I wish their AC is consistent (it’s often too cold or too warm). Not a fan of their coffee- some drinks like cold brew and tiramisu latte were awful. Milk wasn’t steamed right- too hot and no smooth foam. Basically tasted like hot, oily, chocolaty water with a confusing mix of textures and temperatures. They definitely have a room for improvement when it comes to coffee recipes & barista training. Nevertheless, I really appreciate having this coffeeshop in Washington Heights.
Everything was nicely priced. However I went a year ago so things could’ve change. The atmosphere was amazing in there. Multiple places to sit and music wasn’t overly loud and neither was the staff so it was a great place to just relax or be productive. The blue ade was so good. I still think about to this day. It was so refreshing without being overly sweet. The sandwich itself was a little messy to eat but that was completely fine because it made up for it in flavor.

I am visiting NY and I randomly stopped in the Semicolon Cafe for breakfast. Not knowing what to expect, I ordered the Tiramisu Coffee and the ChickeN Sandwich. First the Tiramisu coffee was ready, and instantly, the flavor was magnificent, without taking away from the hit of coffee. Exactly how I like it. Then the Sandwich had a lightly battered chicken breasts, the most fluffy folded egg omelette, jalapeños, lettuce, sitting between soft slices of slightly toasted bread, and topped with a drizzle of hot sauce. (Not too hot, but very flavorful). So good I may have to order another of each before I leave. I will be back!
Delicious coffee & sandwiches with a beautiful restaurant to enjoy it all. I love the live plant decor and esthetic. It’s a calming and relaxing environment to sip on some coffee, catch up with a friend, or read a book while you enjoy one of their delicious sandwiches. I tried the B.E.L.T. and a Chicken sandwich. Both were great! Can’t wait to come back here to sample more.

This place replaced Caffe Bene. Pleasantly surprised by the awesome taste of these sandwiches at Semicolon Cafe. Semicolon is a small Korean inspired chain, this one in the Heights being the third. They have good coffee, smoothies, pastries including specialty macaroons. The sandwiches!! Try the B.E.L.T, Bulgari, Spicy Chicken (really any!). Looking forward to trying the Bingsoo (Korean shaved-ice dessert) but they were still not available when I went.
Lovely cafe. I ordered cappuccino, strawberry shaved ice, and Matcha shaved ice. Shaved ice is so good! They topped with good enough matcha and sweet bean paste I ever had in the USA! Love it! Why my star is 4 because the spoon is not good for eating shaved ice. I highly recommend and will be back soon!

Had this place on my list for a while and finally went. It was not busy and had lots of room to dine in. It took about 5 mins for the BELT to be made. Honestly, can’t think of any cons! It’s super pretty, the bread is thick cut, but not too thick in the mouth. Crispy and buttery, like how you’d like grilled cheese bread. They put corn kernels on it, which I think is a super interesting choice! I don’t hate it!
One of my favorite neighborhood cafes in Washington Heights! The espresso drinks and sandwiches are excellent. The collection of plants, minimalist earthy decor, and eclectic music selection never fail to create a relaxing ambience - a perfect place to chat with friends, read a book, or work (WiFi and outlets available).

Just off the 157th subway station, this adorable and inviting cafe serves some delicious school lunch style sandwiches. The SOS was really quite good. We've also tried the BELT and the Ham sandwich which were both more substantial and a little heavy. Just a note that they've been "out" of the bingsoo every time we've gone. It might be a summer seasonal thing, so don't bank on them having it.
I went on the recommendation of a friend, especially to eat sandavic and I was very pleased, the atmosphere is nice, but the interior is narrow and very small, especially when I saw someone entering with a huge bicycle in such a narrow place that attracted my attention, I didn't like it very much, he could have left it outside.

Same owner of the now permanently closed Café Benne, it’s a still a good place to get some work done or study. They have a nice dessert menu, my go to is the Korean style shaved ice strawberry, it has strawberry sauce, strawberry marscapone, strawberries, cheesecake, mint, and a rolled cigar cookie.

Very nice cafe located in Washington Heights. The ambiance of the cafe is very cute. The selection of of drinks is plentiful and the sandwiches are fresh and taste great. You have got to try the Avocado and Lox sandwiches. Overall had a great experience and the prices are quite reasonable. Will be coming here again.
This place is our new favorite breakfast spot! The quality of the food is *chefs kiss* all for amazing prices. We’ve had the bulgogi, BELT, and ham breakfast sandwiches and have yet to be disappointed. Pastries and lattes are on point too! Wishing the Semicolon team a long and prosperous stay in the neighborhood
A nice neighborhood spot - good coffee and yummy sandwiches. Service could be better - would be good if the people were a little bit more welcoming. Music is also too loud at times for people who want to work, but besides that it is a great working spot.

My favorite cafe in this neighborhood. The sandwiches are incredible, drinks are great (try the iced lady matcha or the tiramisu latte), and the ambience is really lovely with the music playlists and all the greenery. I always come here to work/study.

The mangoes in the mango bingsoo weren't ripe, so the combination wasn't quite right. Sadly understaffed too. We saw someone walk out because it was taking too long for them to order. The menu is interesting though and the space is cute. Would come again, but order a non-fruit bingsoo and pastries.
My small cappuccino order was a very milky latte with barely a hint of coffee taste. Adjust your ordering accordingly. I always get a capp on the first visit; if they can’t get that right than I lower my expectations. Looks like a nice place to hang tho, if not for coffee.
Had the delicious BELT sandwich for brunch. Those with sweet tooth can consider tiramisu specialty latte which was recommended to me by the nice lady over the counter.

Racist. Don’t come here. I tried to order a water while getting some work done because in order to get the wifi password you need to purchase something. The white guy in making the coffee in the front was rude from the first interaction I
Stood in front of the cashier for 10 minutes without acknowledgement. After finally having ordered my shroom sandwich, I was told it will take 15 minutes which I was fine with. However, 30-40 minutes had passed and my beeper had not rang.
Ordered a breakfast sandwich and two lattes. The breakfast sandwich came out in 10 minutes while the lattes took 20 minutes. Front worker looked frustrated even though there was nobody there. It’s a shame, because this place actually has
Warm and inviting coffee shop in Washington Heights. Feels like a cozy spot in the Village, but it's on the corner of West 157th and Broadway. Must try the freshly made seasonally inspired macaroons and the café mocha is deliriously
Wonderful! I got the matcha shaved ice which was delicious. The barista was friendly and I watched him craft it with great care. Also the cafe is very pretty with lots of plants. Definitely will return.
Such a good breakfast sandwich also the coffee and smoothies were great! Can’t wait to try more stuff here, definitely check it out if you’re in the area! …
Tried to get a coffee several times here past 6pm. They're always closing already. What's the point of saying open till 7 when it's open till 6. Just say that. More
Place seems nice but the cafe attendant kicked everyone out 45 minutes before closing so he could clean the floor.
Hey semicolon, why is the egg green in the sandwich you just sold me? This isn’t Dr. Seuss.
