(May 2023 update below) “If there is a God, then why do bad things happen to good people?” I struggle to make sense of days without Taim. Am I a bad person? Or is this world just a cold place? But then a ray of sunshine breaks through the dreary clouds and delivers warmth as it lands upon my soul. I get to eat Taim. And then it all makes sense: those days without Taim, though seeming mean and unfair, a cruel circumstance dished out by an unloving God or a soulless universe, served a much greater purpose, indeed. For without a falafel-less day, how does one appreciate the profound blessing in a day marked by Taims Mediterranean excellence? Only in the absence of one’s lover does one discover the joy of longing - and the joy of reuniting. Thank you, Taim, for helping me in my quest for spiritual insight and supreme falafel bliss. May 27, 2023 update - Im not one to leave a place a glowing review and then stop eating there without giving management some feedback and a chance to improve. So here it is: My wife has been pointing out that for awhile now I end up eating my Taim and complaining. She asks “why do you still go?” And for me it’s because of how good it has been, and hoping to see it return to that quality. For months now it hasn’t. Just left the maiden lane location and got hit with the same stuff I’ve been seeing for so long (picture included): awful sandwich stuffing. You slice the egg up, why not spread it? Not pictured is all of the pickled cabbage jammed in one corner as well. There is no balanced bite, no bite with a little of all the heavenly ingredients. This time the hummus didn’t even have any toppings! The consistency is slipping hard. Service is usually friendly ish but disengaged. Maiden lane has become consistent only in its failure to stuff a falafel sandwich; to make it as if it were made with care rather than some disgruntled employees reading the receipt and slapping on whatever sauce and jamming in whatever ingredients the customer asks. I hope they can return to the delicate care that the lovely Ingredients require to achieve their full potential. For this I removed a star, largely to get managements attention.
We typically order through Uber but felt as though the food was always questionable. The weather was beautiful so I decided to take a quick walk today and decided to go in. The staff was alert and service was fast. Great job there. The only concern and to me the greatest concern was the condition of some of the ingredients. The cheese was in a block as though it had seen better days. My chickpeas appear to have spent several days on the beach with no sunscreen lotion which made them both hard and chewy……not your everyday chickpea. I would have loved to have enjoyed this meal more but the chickpea and cheese concern made it tough.

Loved this place but they switched up their menu recently which I was excited about but worried bc it could be them trying to cut costs with inflation. Even though they added an option to choose 8 toppings on the bowl instead of 6, and have a side of pita they give you way less toppings now so it’s mostly rice. Basically all carbs now which I’m sure is much cheaper for them. The second time I got it I barely got any carbs. Think they’re trying to cut costs with inflation. Sad.

Always busy and it looks like there’s never enough staff so the wait times are out of control. The staff also looks annoyed the three times I’ve been there, they even snapped at me about asking for my food. It’s worth it if you have time and can wait, the food is pretty good, but it’s also basic Mediterranean, which I’m sure can be found anywhere in NYC with better service.

Good food but incredibly slow around lunchtime and the service is pretty bad. One time we went to order and the doors were locked and they forced everyone waiting to order online instead which was odd, then they took our orders and reopened the counter afterwards, then the food took a literal hour to be ready. Food is great but it's surprisingly inconvenient in an area of quicker lunches of similar quality.

I got a bowl and the only concern I have is with the rice. Paying almost $20 and having rice that was crunchy really made me upset. Please avoid going to this restaurant after 4pm because they will start making lazy food. Also to mention I came with three other people who had crunchy rice, after seeing the reviews I feel this was intentional. Very terrible on your end taïm, do better.

The staff is wonderful at this affordable, and cheery, mostly healthy Mediterranean fast food place in the heart of FiDi in Lower Manhattan. Great alternative to other unhealthy fast food options that is affordable, and healthy. The falafel, and hummus are delicious. My only complaint was mushy cucumbers. Other than that, great.

The place is pretty good and clean. It is Mediterranean or middle eastern style food and it was good. I enjoyed my meal. Now, the place does not take cash only debit cards or credit cards. It is pretty small but good for a vegan meal during lunchtime. I did not have to wait long for my meal. The price was ok. The meal in the picture below was $12.50 (tax not included). I will go back again if I forgot to bring my lunch to work again.
Very flavorful food. You can taste the mint and garlic in the green falafel, the creamy nutty Tahiti compliments them when dipped. The ingredients are fresh, not greasy and the portion of food is not skimpy.

Everything is so delicious while healthy tasting. (Well maybe not the fries which were yum too). We've tried the eggplant bowl, impossible kebabs bowl and platter, falafel platter, cauliflower side, carrot side and fries. The food is so good that we've had it three times since moving to this neighborhood a few weeks ago. Highly recommend.
This place was really good and pretty cheap for Lower Manhattan. The pita was pretty good and they were generous with the falafels. The only thing I did not like was the saffron aoli, which my girlfriend said tasted like paint. Just go with the ketchup.

I visited this store sometime last week before returning to Germany, I have never been before & the young lady with dreads behind counter helped me along. I really appreciate it because my English is not the best when speaking & she explained everything for me and packaged my stuff so I could eat later on plane. Would come back
The best fast casual chain?? Great vegan options, delicious food, reasonably priced for a great meal!

They give you a ton of food with your purchase, so you definitely get your money's worth. One of the few places I've seen with impossible kebab, so good for people seeking a meat substitute.

The falafel was delicious, the pita was dry and old. And on top of it, they had a advertising shoot while the business was open for businesses, and the models did not wear a mask. This shoot should have been done after working hours or just close the place on that day.
Really great flavors on everything. Wonderfully fluffy pita and delicious spiced fries with various dipping sauce. So far I have have the cauliflower shawarma pita and the eggplant bowl and they were delicious. This place will definitely be one of my go to lunch spot.
Had a great experience ordering at this location. Ajahni was a great help. With helping me order my hummus bowl!! Being on Halloween night I will definitely order here again . Coming from Ohio…!!

Excellent fresh food. You pick either pita or bowl and pick your own choice of toppings and main entree (they have protein and vegan options like falafel and cauliflower) I went with Falafel. I ordered through the app and food was ready
This Taim has to be one of the better ones in the city for sure. The service is friendly, the food is always so good and consistent. Special shout out to Brandon for going above and beyond on my most recent order! More
Stay away from this place. I have never eaten mediterranean food that tastes like that. The rice was undercooked mush and all the toppings were just tasteless

Ugh I wish they had more locations. Their ingredients are SO fresh and delicious. They don’t skimp out on the sauces and the portions are good. A million times better than Chipotle or CAVA for the same price!
food was mediocre. Missed a lot of my order notes. Food doesn’t seem to be authentic Mediterranean food. Probably will never go back. Just not worth it

I realize this is one of many taïm restaurants in NY, but WOW the Falafel sandwich was incredible! I also got a side of hummus and honestly it was one of the best I have ever had.
I keep coming back for these harissa falafels in soft and filling pitas. The ginger mint juice was also delicious. Great service too. Hands down best falafel place, ever!
The falafel sandwich was great as I always expected from Taim. The place lacks a restroom and has limited seating so I might be a good idea to order take out.
Quick and easy lunch spot if you need a Mediterranean fix. Flavors pop, the meat is juicy, and you're in and out during a lunch rush in a flash. More
Solid food. I got the falafel. It tasted and felt healthy. Only complaint is the touch screen is kind of hard to order with More
Paid $15 for this! Looks like half eaten food. :/ Kind of them to comment on this but haven’t heard from them since
I had this amazing bowl at tami on maiden land I highly recommend this bowl it’s call the eggplant blow More
