"Not kind to animals"
This place is an utter sham, as evidenced by the apparent lack of an official facebook page or website. Dr. Isma Gheewala operates a facility that has zero regard for the customer or the innocent animals that are her unfortunate patients. I took my 7 week old Rottweiler puppy to the clinic after it had contracted a viral disease that was causing it high fever coupled with diarrhea and dehydration. Dr. Isma was not present there, and in her place was Dr. Naeem assisted by a team of rude and obnoxious help staff. Over the course of 7 days and 2 visits each day, there was a not a single day that Dr. Isma was actually present at the facility (supposedly out of the country). The inexperienced duo of Dr. Naeem and Dr. Atif did not conduct a single test beyond taking the temperature of the dog at each visit, hooking up an IV for 2 hours, and administrating injections of antibiotics and other random medicines. They suggested we feed him a mixture of rice and chicken (which he never ate even once), and forcefully feed him ORS water (which is an impossible task with an animal unless its administered intravenously). The puppy had completely lost his appetite for food and water, and on the third day it started vomiting as well. Yet the doctors persisted with the same routine, asking us to bring him back twice a day. On the fifth day, he started emitting blood in his stool. But no tests or change in treatment was suggested by the doctors despite our feedback. Although the vomiting had stopped, the puppy was extremely weak and visibly in pain. He spent most of the time lying down, eyes blankly staring ahead. On the 7th day, after we were done with the IV dose that was given and took the puppy outside the clinic to pee, he suddenly collapsed and fainted. We took him back inside and the doctor administered some more injections to revive him, but he was still in bad shape. We bought him back home and continued to monitor him, but he wasn't getting any better. Finally in the afternoon, after yelping and howling in pain, the puppy passed away. It was heart wrenching for the entire family as we had labored over the puppy day and night, caring for him and doing what the "doctors" told us to do. Although they had cautioned us that the survival chances of a virus of this nature are low, we felt that this was a pathetic excuse as the clinic's callous attitude and lack of medical diagnostic procedures was clear enough of an indication that they did not know what they were doing, and we were foolish enough to abide by their advice. Our greatest regret is that we trusted Dr. Isma Gheewala to rehabilitate our beloved animal, while she betrayed our trust by leaving her clinic in the hands of extremely incompetent, unprofessional, lackadaisical and greedy staff who made Rs. 13,000 on the death of an animal. We would have much rather preferred that they put the poor creature out of his misery and euthanize him if there was no chance of survival due to this visibly deteriorating condition, instead of giving us false hope and extracting money from us on the pretext of treatment until the very last day. Please do not take your pets to this place if you truly care for them. Dr. Isma Gheewala is operating a factory that draws huge crowds due to the main road location, but it is truly a soulless establishment.
Honestly I want to give this place a 0 rating. They're the reason my dog passed away. I kept asking for Dr. Isma but they kept making excuses that she was not available. One of their junior staff who admitted he was a 'trainee' was the reason this happened. My buddy was healthy with a little chest infection which could have easily been cured but instead they decided to give him a medicine that made his lungs collapse and take his life. This place has no hygienie standards and no one is helpful. I kept asking for a Dr to check my dog as I could see he couldn't breath, they assured me he was fine and kept telling me to go home and 2 hours later he passed away in their hospital. The fact that he died there proves they're incapable of doing anything. If you want you're pet to live, I would advise searching for another vet as this place will probably take the life of your pet as well. I'm so heartbroken as my dog was my life and they even admitted and apologized for their mistake because they poisoned him for no reason. An apology is not going to bring my buddy back, but I'd like your pets to stay alive so I'm advising you search for a better place. People who keep advising this place obviously have no sense of care for their pets if they keep bringing them here, unfortunately I was one of them as I'm new in Karachi and had no idea which other vet to see. I regret ever brining my poor dog here, just to see him lose his bright life for nothing.
If I could, I'd give this place 0 ratings. The place smells bad, assistants are rude with an attitude "I am a doctor, I know best". Doctor didn't even care to look at my animal and she looked dirty, wearing her home clothes (I would not even guessed she was the doctor if I haven't seen her photograph on the internet). There are a bunch of tables resembling morgue, each table has more than one animal on it. When I took my cat here, we shared a table with another cat who was getting her nails clipped and a puppy who couldn't hold his urine. Across us, an assistant was performing a nasty surgery where he was pulling on a poor animals intestine and the blood was everywhere. Would YOU have an open surgery with other patients around you??? Multiple assistants exchanged pushing needles in my cat, without telling me what they are doing or why. I came because my cat had a sore throat and they treated my cat for dehydration. They didn't even care to hear what I have to say, and they couldn't identify that my cat is male. It took 2 times to correctly put a drip in my cat's hand, leaving him bruised, bleeding and in pain. Very unprofessional, unhygienic and harsh treatment of animals. They don't care for animals at all, they only want to go through as many patients as fast as possible, to get money. I am horrified of this place.
Hi everybody, whoever searching for this place or watching this map must be having pet patient, guys very carefully, its my recent personal experience, dr. Isma might be a good physician or surgeon, she been busy all the time in clinic with surgeries, i wont tell anybody name, but please, do not take you loved pet there, if taken then consult with dr isma only, the staff or assistant there is good mannered but sorry to say they are totally illiterate from medical point of view, they are very expert to convert normal checkup to serious issue, i had taken my pet there and condition was something else when i visited there, but after 2 visits, i swithed the clinic taken my pet to an hospital at university road and just came home after her surgery, non professional so called doc at dr, isma clinic they dont even know how to give injection to a pet neither about antibiotic potencies. My pet reached to a point very surgery was the only option left due to negligence of those so called docs (i am not talking about dr isma). Please. Be careful. Thanks.
Not kind to animals. My kitten was in shock after taking her to them for vaccinations. They did no physical check up before injecting her nor took her temperature, didn't take her to doctor, someone just came and injected her right on the counter mere seconds after entering the clinic. The syrup they told me to give her wasn't even animal specific which other vets told me of. They don't let you talk nor do they listen, it's all a disoriented rush. Horrible horrible experience. If you can please take your animals elsewhere. Don't fall into the trap of a 'known' place like I did.
Took a rescue kitten in very critical condition and am satisfied with the treatment that dr isma advised. Dr isma is the best but maybe her staff and especially those on the reception can work on their professionalism a bit. A bit hectic, everyone can go in and out, needs to be a bit more organized. I’d say charges are extremely reasonable too. Loved this place. Some places they could possibly work on but fact is that your furry friend at the end of the day is in good hands if you take it here.
As the number of patients have increased for them, they don’t seem to bother much about proper counseling and guidance about the proper animal disease and care. My cat developed panleukopenia and i had to do my own research and asked them for tests to confirm her disease. These 2 stars are only for the aggressive treatment and therapy which they provided at their clinic. Rest about animal care and therapy there seems to be no importance! I was hugely disappointed
Dr isma usually cannot satisfy any of her patient's (animals) owner. Mostly treatments are done by uneducated Christan guy who's duty is to help the doctor by grabbing animals and cleaning the floor. My dog was also treated by that helper guy who just know the medicine by it's color or texture and cannot read what's actually written... I'm the witness for all what I mentioned above, so now it's up to public what they choose for their beloved animals.
What a chaotic place. Too many wannabe doctors pretending to be experts. Only Dr. Isma Gheewala gives proper advice. I lost my ailing cat just in 2 days after my first visit. They recommended me 5 days of drip, however my cat couldn't sustain it and died after his second drip. I was going to Dr. Pirzada before that and his opinion/treatment was working fine. Regretfully, I went to Dr. Asma on someone's suggestion and ended up losing my cat.
Very caring and professional Doctors ,Dr Naeem ,Dr Atif ,Dr Faizan , Dr Ahmed and All staff members are all active take care of your pets with detail inquiry to investigate the root cause of dieases that make animal sick .My cat was just going to die but with care and right treatment given by Asma Ghee wala and her professional team of doctors my cat now survive and now recovering speedly.Mashallah.well done Animal care centre .
This place seems much better than the normal vets in Karachi. They have so many people, but they do not seem genuinely interested in helping you out. I feel they were not very welcoming. Dr. Asma checked out my cat but didn't really advise much on how to take care of the cat. She just asked us to go back to our vet. She also seem very occupied with her clinic operations and didn't seem focus on the patient.
Dr Isma is one of the best but her clinic is one of the worst managed, staff is unprofessional. When you visit they keep one talking to each other or keep drinking tea and no one attends to animals, you haveto ask them sir please attend to my patients. I used to visit her clinic almost daily as Iam running sort of cat shelter. Now Iam fedup and changed vet Dr Shela , much better care for animals
I have heard amazing things about Dr. Isma and I don’t have any experience with her but her clinic is not managed well. I got my cat vaccinated there and it was like several cats being injected by machines, no kindness towards animals. I highly doubt every person injecting was a trained individual either, as I later had to get my cat’s vaccinations completed later.
It's my first visit there and the team provided good treatment though I reached there at the last moment when they are up for closing.. Dr Isma was only there in morning & mostly do surgeries where as her team used to look after other case there I get little disappointed as I need to dicuss my case with her. Hope my views will get better even after few visits.
I went to Dr. ISMA, after hearing a lot of good stuff about her and the clinic. Plus I was got getting good service from Dr. Pirzada who has always been my go to animal doctor. The clinic is well maintained the staff is good and the equipment is great. I found much better results from visiting this place, I wish I had visited earlier.
This place is hell congested and dirty! They were giving oxygen to one cat and also doing grooming of the other cat on the same stretcher plus jhaaru and continuous chaae party. Insane! Doctors especially Dr Isma has no time to even listen to your smallest query. They're always in a hurry. Also 1000 for consultation? Whatta joke!
Don’t ever take your pets to get a shower there. Only if you are standing there will they give your pet a warm bath. They use broken electric kettles to warm them if caught in the act. Absolutely unprofessional. My dog is dying because of Pneumonia courtesy them, even after 5 doses of antibiotics from the same people!
It was really good but I am sorry I didn't like one of the helpers as he would not be quite kind to the animals and hold them in a very bad and painful manner as I already know that it was only to help the animals themselves, but he should figure out some more kind way otherwise it was really good and cost effective.
If you really love your pets, DON'T take them there. These guys are just there milking money without even caring for the pet's well-being. I took my pet cat there for mild fever & lethargy, but they administered a wrong injection and made my cat paralyzed. I'll always blame myself for choosing the wrong clinic!
There is a lot of speculations about Dr. Isma, I have visited her after good 10 years and let me tell you she was so keen and focused during the ear cropping surgery of my dog. I was overwhelmed by her professionalism. She is an experienced vet with fairly the best veterinarian facilities under 1 roof.
All they’ll do is give an IV drip to your pet, take temperature or maybe a few injections too but the pets do not get better. I lost two of my cats to this place. I was desperate at the time and did not see the pattern but now Iam alarming others. Please dont go here and advise others to not go either.
I have a 1yr and 2 month old bully, i got him when he was 5 months, his ears were cropped from her and they are terribly cropped and because of his badly cropped ears the poor dog has a lot of problems. For the record i did not ask for his ears to be cropped, when we got him they already were cropped.
Unfortunately I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED this time round. I took a very weak mother cat and 3 kittens who had eye infection and the Dr was on lunch and an assistant level guy didn't even give a proper checkup and the fees was the same!! I specifically asked for a proper dr but he didn't come....
Dear Dr Isma and Dr Faizan we cannot thank you enough for all the effort & support you provided to our beloved Elmo. We appreciate all the hard work you put in. We know under your watch he got the very best treatment and diagnosis available and he was very well looked after. (❤️ RIP ELMO)
If there are 10 stars I would give her. Dr. Isma is an angel . She saved my so many pets. There were many times , when my babies were in severe pain or sicknesses I used to cry in front of her. She always shed her tears and share my pain. I can't recommend any other vet in Karachi .
Dr. Isma is the best. She operated on my peacock and inserted a pin in his leg. His leg was broken and he was not able to move. I found her very caring and after the operation the way she pets the animals and waits for them to gain consciousness is commendable. May God bless her.
Definitely would recommend family and friends to bring their Pets there." "Best Vet Clinic in the Karachi, from the front desk check in , to the doctor's visit to the check out !!!" Dr. Isma Apa is a wonderful, compassionate veterinarian. Great staff and service!
They have a good staff though dr.Isma not available there all the time but there are other drs who can treat your pet. Fees vary there are no fixed charges sometimes they charge you 1000 only for a check up of your kitten. Overall good place to take your pet to.
Have been taking 3 generations of my dogs to dr. Isma. One of my dogs had a tumor which was operated on by her not once but twice as it had reocurred after the first surgery. Needless to say I am forever grateful that he's still alive thanks to her expertise.
Her staff is incompetent and she seems very uninterested in treating pets. I think they're only there to make money. This is what happened to my kitten's paw in just 24 hours, on account of incompetence from her and her staff. This is my personal view point.
Most probably be the best vet in town currently. They have got all necessary resources which you csn expect from a basic hospital. Docs are nice and experienced. You can also leave your pet here for look after in case you are going out of city.
dr isma's clinic consist of professional team ...but they need to improve reception service ..they usually busy with each other. dr isma should keep their clinic on most of time ..their working hrs must be atleast 18 hrs with different shifts .
Dr Atif is the Best. As I am in love with animals and I appreciate all who cares for them. I Have seen personal attachment of Dr isma with poor injured and sick animals . which was quite impressive. Keep it up Dr you are doing great
Dr Isma is the best Vet in Karachi, period. The amount of experience and equipment she has is unmatched in Karachi. If you have big powerful dogs then this is the best place as Dr Isma handles herself very well around them.
Best veterinary in Karachi. Not only for Animals but for birds too. My African grey parrot had tumor under his beak and Doctor Isma and Doctor Naeem treated him very well just in couple of days. Thanks
The best clinic in Karachi. I’ve been taking my felines there for about a year now. The entire staff; the doctors and the assistants are quiet professional. Keep up with the good work guys. Touché :)
I know Dr Isma from well over 15 yrs when she use to have her clinic at 26th st. She has been always very professional & emphatic, I wish I could say the same for the rest of her team.
Allah bless you with the best of both worlds! Thank you for treating Chi Chi (our African Grey) with such love time and again! You are doing this country a great service! Jazakallah
Its a good pet clinic, they handle the pets well and no waiting time but yes they don't have anyone outside the door who can help you handle an aggressive and stubborn pet.
We have a Labrador who just underwent surgery for a broken hind leg following a traffic hit n run. Very well being taken care of by a very competent and caring vet.
Dr. Isma is not available all the time. But the other vets are just as friendly and cooperative! The only place in Karachi, I trusted to take care of my pet cat.
Not fully professional Veterinary service. Lacking with medicine and other necessary drugs. To be honest the sincerity with this profession is missing big time.
Dr.Isma herself make sure your pets are taken care of along her well dedicated team. My cats / kittens are always treated / vaccinated here Alhumdolillah
I liked the doc and her staff and the clinic.alhumdolillah my cat is much better on road to recovery.I would suggest ppl to take their pet's there.
A very good all round clinic to take your pets. Very efficient staff. Best timings to visit would be the morning hours between 10 am - 12pm
I went to Dr. Isma Clinic with my dying cat. Well Alhamdulilah he got better after treatment BUT the staff and management is worst.
Best lady vet in defence she n her team are great at their job. Been taking my dog to them since 13 years now.
They are professionals and handle animals well. Very satisfied with thier services.
I have used her clinic to treat dogs, cats, goats & chickens. Very good service.
