This station was opened in 1933 and has large exits and had many stairs from the platforms. It was built to accommodate large crowds attending NY Giants Baseball games at the Polo Grounds until 1957 and Mets games in 1962 and 63. After the Mets moved to Shea in 1964 and the Polo Grounds torn down many of the stairs were closed for security reasons.

A fairly clean station with one huge exit on the east end. Very close to the coastline (only 1 block!). It makes you think if there's any issues reguarding water leakage.

Let's be honest it's right in the middle of the hood. I'm currently temporarily disabled honestly I'm not looked at as disabled in that area and looked at as a mark.

Easily accessible by car , Subway & other public transportation, or by walking. Also adjacent to the HRD & the Bronx.

I'm surprised the IND had to shift the mainline a little west just to make space for a 155 St-8 Ave station.

In the morning it's awful They need to send more trains downtown Not more uptown

Uptown trains take 10+ mins to come need more uptown trains.
