There’s a guy who uses the downtown steps as a urinal at the NE corner entrance between HBO and Starbucks (the stairs to the platform after you swipe). The trains come consistently, except after 9:30, when is when I’m done with school. At that point it’s one construction train after the other with an F train thrown in every 20 min. Also once saw a Citibike riding the F by itself.
People are mentioning about how clean the station it. Just because there is no trash, that's not mean it's clean. Floor are dirty, stairs are dirty and alley are smelly urine. I think the station manager doesn't care at all. Compared to Jackson Height station, they washed every month. What a shamed. How can you tell a proud station especially in Manhattan 42nd street and 6 avenue?
Good typical example of a NYC subway station. Enjoy the mosaics in the tunnels. Could use more benches and better signage on platforms. People generally friendly and don’t mind taking pictures of you ask them. Waited rather a long time for my train, which prompted the 3 star review. Worth returning to though, especially if you’re going to Bryant Park.
Went there on Friday, yes it was crowded and loud. But loud music killed it, could not hear a person from across a bench. Plus, when I made a reservation at a bar with a hostess SMS didn't go true because I have an android phone. But friends iphone handled it with no problem. Love HB bier and friendly personnel there. Cant delete. Wrong bar. Sorry it
Train station has become disgusting in the last month with feces, & garbage everywhere. Sometimes smells like strong bleach but still dirty. Mta has millions of dollars in Budget , if they could employ cleaners during pandemic they should keep doing it. I wont even start w the homeless population housing problem in NYC.
New York is the state of subway. MTA employees are really working hard to keep neat and clean. I live in Brooklyn and work Princeton club NYC at 43 street Manhattan. I have never been late to work because of 1st class train services. Can't imagine going to work timely without train. It's a great help for me!!!!!
Cross platform interchange between the B/D/F/M lines. Transfer to the (7) line via a passageway, when often has people playing music or selling food, which is nice. The station is fairly clean...but is not wheelchair accessible. There's also free Wi-Fi and phone service here.
One of the cleaner stations in the subway system largely because the area is a major tourist destination. There are a number of connections here (B, D, F, M and 7) and train and Wi-Fi service is relatively good. However, the bathrooms are another story.
Station stinks. Info signs not correct. It says 1 minute then it's 4 minutes and 4 becomes 10; and, the next thing you know, you are late because it's too late to get an Uber. Today it took me over an hour to get from 42nd Street to Grand street!
The machines to buy the MetroCard are not working properly. So, it's no way to get or pay for your ride. The NYPD officers will give you a ticket if you try to enter without a Metro card.
There is a wheel chair access here and you can get the F, D, B, and M here at any time of the day, it's one of the safest subway in Manhattan. You can also connect to the 7 train.
Cleaner and safer Station down the Bryant Park. The day of City Marathon were crowded. 7 Train connection warm, during cold season outside.
Ngl to u, this is a very dangerous station, I saw rats here, homeless ppl sleeping, ppl doing dumb things,
It's a nice place with a new corridor to Times Square which enables free transfers to more subway lines.
Beautiful park with many free activities. Nice place to sit and relax while contemplating the views.
Nah..let’s stick to form. This is the 15th station from Queens, and the 31st from Coney Island.
One of the worst stations in midtown. The heat in the summer is suffocating.
