Highly recommend this accommodation. It was booked for us as a gift and it did not disappoint! Very clean and beautifully presented room with a modern bathroom and shower, there were plenty of items supplied for a breakfast, cereal, fruit milk and juice in the fridge even though the website doesn’t specifically state that these are provided, a loaf of fresh sourdough bread, some cutlery provided as well. Easy to find and close to everything we needed, friendly host as well. 10/10 recommend.

This was an excellent place to stay for a trip to the McLaren Vale/Willunga area. The room was squeaky clean, spacious and had all necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s quiet and comfortable and the bed gave us a good night’s sleep. Good shower pressure and hot water. Cafes, shops and pub within short walking distance. Willunga retains the country town feel and I hope it stays that way! We’d definitely go back!

Lovely hosts who go out of their way to assist you. They called us to let us know the room was ready early which was so lovely. They baked a fresh beautiful loaf of bread for breakfast, bed was super comfy, fabulous location, nice and quiet, shower great and a wonderful continental breakfast. So happy we stayed and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Mc Larenvale. A great place to have as a base. We will definitely be back.

What a great experience! Absolutely spotless, gorgeous cottage with plenty of room for us. Location was ideal and allowed us to explore the local area and town without a worry (only ten to fifteen minutes from the beach as well). The bread that Shane bakes is just divine, everything was provided and we couldn't have been happier.

If we could give this a 10/5, we would. Super easy check in. The owners go above and beyond with the details. There was a bowl of fruit, a fresh loaf of sourdough, milk and juice in the fridge, a coffee machine etc. etc. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much.

Absolutely the best little secret of Willunga. Host so welcoming, accommodation so very clean, updated and inviting. Fresh baked on premise by host Shane crusty bread, fresh fruit and real coffee. Best little find and will be a favourite in future and recommendations.

This is as good as it gets. The cottage was Immaculately clean, spacious with the very best bedding, towels etc and well located. There was plenty of continental breakfast items and the homebaked sourdough was first class. Louise and Shane were helpful and pleasant. Thanks for a great stay!!

Our stay at 1839 for 1 night in the verandah cottage while attending a wedding in Willunga was fantastic. Christina was a lovely host and made our stay along with their great food a nice getaway not far from our home. Breakfast included was a bonus...would definitely recommend to friends …

We arrived and struggled to work out which unit was ours as there are no numbers. We have a continental breakfast provided but no knife to spread jam on toast and no spoons to eat cereals and very little coffee supplied :( apart from that bed is comfy and shower good.

  • Marilyn Harris

The area was spacious and we recieved a warm welcome, there were ample beverages supplied with breakfast cereals and spreads and home made bread as a special treat. "Well Done".

The accommodation was spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The BIG downside, which had not been disclosed online, was the fact that their Bistro was closed. So in reality, we didn't get what we expected and had paid for. :(

Nice hosts, best bed I've ever slept in, so comfortable! Everything you need for a 1 night stay. Great location! Very nice loaf and good variety of spreads to accompany it. Shower was absolutely divine. Highly recommend!

A nice B&B right in the heart of some of the best wine country, it's a very short walk to all the pubs in town, very spacious rooms and an awesome shower, a loaf of fresh bread and breakfast is part of the package

  • Michael Prime

Room was very clean and what we had expected. Only downfall was it was advertised as with cooked breakfast which didn't happen. They need to correct this on their website.

  • Andrea Cranwell

What a sweet little place to stay! Freshly baked bread, fruit and real coffee, comfortable bed with lovely linen and a very lovely host. We will certainly be back. ❤️
