"This cottage is so cute and cosy! We enjoyed the fireplace every night! Super clean and has all the amenities you need (inc hair-dryer, iron/board, standard shower toiletries)! I was a bit caught off by the two cottages being attached, because our neighbours decided to crank some tunes one of the nights, but it was resolved with us pouring more wine, refeeding the fire and turning up the TV volume! The owners were super friendly and delightful! Would 100% recommend staying here!!!

The Grape Pickers Cottages are a beautifully restored, and modernised piece of history. The story behind this property is long, and interesting. The cottages have all of the modern conveniences, and they include wonderful local food provisions on arrival (breakfast and other basics). We were staying for 5 days, and the owners were even kind enough to contact us to ask us if we needed anything from the local stores while they were there - such great service and attention to detail. The cottages are located close to many fantastic wineries, and they're only a few minutes drive from the centre of town. The owners are really lovely people too. Do yourself a favour, and stay here!

Beautiful converted cottage in a lovely setting in McLaren Vale. The owners are absolutely charming. The fireplaces were very welcome, and the modern bathroom was a very nice touch (rustic charm only goes so far!). It's in a nice location, not too far from the town (although if you've been drinking, food is a short drive away and you'll have very few options for food delivery, so plan ahead). I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Grape Pickers for our honeymoon. Ann and Johnny have done a stunning job restoring these gorgeous old cottages into luxury suites. Our cottage took our breath away with its High ceilings and open plan layout. There’s a full kitchen, dining fireplace and a deck for trying some local wine while enjoying the stunning gardens. Couldn’t be happier bravo to the management.

Wonderful little get away from it all.l took friend from interstate to share what the McLaren Vale has to offer and they weren't disappointed in any way. We offered some suggestions and the owners were happy to get them so I will recommend it to anyone to stay.friendly and quiet you can't ask for more than that.

The grape pickers cottages is great B&B to stay at, so cozy and clean. The owners John and Ann (& ollie) are absolutely lovely hosts. The history and the renovations they did to this 1860's century cottage is fabulous. If you are in the area, this place is must to stay at! Can't wait to come back in winter-ish time to use the great fireplace!

Wonderful cottage built in 1865 which has been carefully restored and reimagined. Very clean and spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen. Nice personal touches on arrival from our lovely hosts. Would love to come back to experience the winter. It is a real experience to be able to stay and learn of the cottage and stables history.

From the moment you drive in the front gates this place takes your breath away. It is the old tatachilla staff quarters which they have loveingly restored and is to die for. The hosts, Ann and Johnny are just adorable, they are so accommodating and look after you so well without being in your face. Definantly coming back.

Extremely high end restorations littered with authentic charm. The high level of cleanliness and the 1000 thread-count sheets made this a very luxury stay. Recommended for anyone wanting to escape to a stunning part of the world for a break.

This place certainly exceeded our expectations. Johnny greeted us and was very helpful with his local knowledge. The cottage itself was so beautifully presented. Very lovingly restored with top quality fittings and bathroom etc. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. We will definitely be back.

Extremely disappointed. Cancelled our booking with less than 2 weeks until the stay date, because they'd double booked. Had booked weeks in advance and were left struggling to find a suitable alternative in McClaren Vale with less than a fortnight.

Great accomodation - the character and the historical charm of the building was great and the hospitality of owners was superb.

I came all the way from Tasmania to see the cottages, and the main house. We were shown around by Ann and John. Magnificent, it was worth the trip. Thank you …
