I episodically stop here for lunch or snacks. Always clean and efficient. Today, as I was purchasing my lunch, 2 people came in, a man and a women, who appeared either to be homeless or to have not been taking care of themselves. Perhaps they were in need, or perhaps they just presented themselves that way. They immediately began shoplifting. The owner, who happened to be there, recognized them and, rather than creating an altercation, quickly went to them and told them they could take enough for a meal for each of them - sandwich, drink, some candy - but asked them to please not take too much and not to come back too often. Very compassionate and a better way than to call the police and create a problem. My only fear is that, since they did not thank her or stop grabbing things as she approached, I believe the good will given to them will not be returned. I would not be surprised if they simply returned frequently to take as much advantage as possible and to bring as many people in similar circumstances as they are able. The rest of us who can afford to purchase our food should be compassionate to store owners like this who, faced with the inevitability of losing money, choose to show kindness. If they allowed me to leave a tip, I would do so to help cover the losses. Far different from when you go to Subway and the POS machine prompts you to automatically give an 18% or higher tip, as though you were in a restaurant with table service. The kindness of Canadians is demonstrated here.

***Sorry to 554 Keenlyside St. location I put a negative review and this is the location I had my bad experience at*** I went in to get a few things for my family and specifically an extra strength/caffeine booster 5 hour energy a product I have never used before. I went in and asked the employee for the strongest caffeine boost because I was going to be driving all day with my family. "What is the strongest caffeine 5 hour energy do you have?" The employee responds "so you want the extra strength 5 hour energy". I say "I have never taken the product before so I guess yes". Instead of trying to inform me on the merchandise and the product I was trying to pay the worker seemed more interested in getting me out the store. See if there was a 7-Eleven branded product or if it was better to buy an energy drink then the 5 hour energy I will never know. I wouldn't blame the heavily tattooed worker for being ignorant on the merchandise in the store he works in either he didn't care to actually help me or the worker wasn't trained properly by management.

I ordered on SkipTheDishes from here around midnight, even leaving a $5 tip for the courier. The courier was nice and quick to deliver but the food wasn't, the food I ordered were the 8 strips and 10 wedges, along with another additional 3 strips and 5 wedges added. The strips were burnt and looked like they were left in there for awhile, I was expecting a nicely-cooked meal but was disappointed by how the employee took care of the strips. The wedges also tasted cold and seemed like they were made way too earlier compared to the strips which were left in the oven for too long.

Cold service, do they realize I handed them money in exchange for goods? And that money partly(I mean partially) goes towards their wage!? Not going here again. Less, I am in a bind or something else makes me want to pay for almost rude, cold, emotionless and inhuman service. Is that what we're paying for at a store like this? Mostly convience, but a little service would do the business good. Heck I'd go out of my way to shop here if they had a little service. Prices are crazy. Hours, well these places used to been 24/7, now, it's confusing.

Very convenient hours, and they stock some items that are hard to find at other stores (Full sized brands of certain chips and certain Mountain Dew flavours.) However, their prices for most items are highly inflated and frankly unreasonable. I would say the location is convenient, but their snowplow drives poorly and barricades off all sidewalk entrances with mountains of snow, so, it’s inaccessible by foot which offsets the convenience. Good for a few things, but for 80% of the products stocked I would look elsewhere if time allows.

So middle of February I reloaded my bus pass and well guess what they took the payment for the monthly buss pass and guess what my card says I have no bus pass loaded. Took there advice called 311 told me I was sol pretty much. So they took a monthly bus pass money and I don’t even get a monthly bus pass and had to repay again so I can get home from work today . Do not buy bus passes here for your Peggo card. I’m i am down over 100 dollars and they will not even refund me my money back. Beware of that

I showed up at 11:58 not knowing they were closed at midnight and all I needed was some milk. One minute in and out. The doors were locked but there were people inside. The guy came up to the door and said “we’re closed.” If you guys want to be accurate about your hours, put on here that you’re open until 11:58. How brutal is it that you have to close your doors two minutes early and you can’t sell me one jug of milk? Brutal. Just straight up brutal.

I bought some chicken from them today and in the bag the expiry date was saying 4th November so I asked the employee working there when that chicken was Made and he told me that it was from today, when I go home I warm up the chicken and ate some. The chicken was so dry and tasted so bad that I had to throw it in the garbage and now I’m writing this review and my stomach feels so weird, hopefully I won’t get sick from it.

Believe me when I say they have GOOD COFFEE! But, I can not lie, their Chicken Wings are awesome! Especially when the just came out of oven. This store have a large amount of different coffees and their selection of warm food is also plentiful. Really, all I can say is you just got to try the wings! My coffee use to be: Starbucks (Too expensive) So now my coffee is 7-11 dark roast, then McD's. NO to Timmies

Twice now they have been locked up during their listed business hours, first time in January when I showed up at 7am (the listed open time was 5am) and now I arrived at roughly 11:45pm and they were already locked up (Listed close time midnight). Given it is a not insubstantial walk to get there it would be nice if I could rely on the times they have listed on their website.

There was no public wash rooms, not even for there customers. The Lady said due to covide 19 they are not supposed to allow anyone to use their washroom and that there is a sign indicating that on the front door. I checked the sign on front door and there was NO mention of washroom not in use. The young guy working there ask me to go to Tim Hortons and use their washroom.

NO STAR THEY FAILED and the only way to enter this review is to select 1 which they have not earned... Staff seem inconvenienced when they have to stop chatting with their friends to serve a customer. Never any onions in the condiment cart. I am very disappointed with this location. Will not visit there again.

I was told if I spent $10 I would get bonus points, so I spent over $10. Turns out it had to be $10 before tax (which was not said to me at anytime), so now I spent extra money and no bonus points. Such a crock! Definitely will go somewhere else now.

Amazing night shift person Parmatma! Incredible person ! The person is so humble and helped me with catching me a ride ! I really owe him ! I really recommend to visit this location at night time because of its amazing customer service staff.

  • republic _8027

Hood experience here. The store is really up to date, and the slurpee machines are working unlike the one back in Airdrie, AB not working most of the time when I visit. The staff here are also pretty decent. Good experience.
