I wish I didn’t have to give this vet even one star.My husband took our beloved cat to this vet on Friday (7 Dec 2018) last week because she had been acting strangely for several weeks. We had our first baby two months ago and we thought she was just adjusting to the change, but she was losing weight then stopped eating all together and started trying to eat her cat litter and we became very concerned. The vet examined her on the Friday and told us to bring her in for tests the following Monday (10 Dec 2018) but didn’t suggest that there was any kind of urgency. The blood test revealed that she was leaking enzymes from her liver and the vet told us on Wednesday that she needed medication. I asked how serious it was and again the vet did not seem overly concerned and told us to bring her back in after she had been on the medication for 2 weeks. The vet was well aware that she’d stopped eating several days before we first brought her in and suggested pills that we could place in her mouth as mixing with her food wasn’t an option. This was on Wednesday 12th, by which point it had been a week since she last ate. We did exactly as the vet told us. On Saturday 15th November I found my poor loving, trusting cat dead, leaking orange fluid. With my husband away, and the vet closed, I had to deal with this as my 2 month old baby, who had just had his vaccinations, cried, and all in a severely sleep deprived state. After a quick google search I realised how foolish we’d been in trusting this vet. The first thing I read said that if a cat has a liver problem and stops eating for any more than 2-3 days they should be placed on an IV drip immediately. It also said that stress (such as a new baby) can trigger a loss of appetite in cars and this can cause acute liver failure which is very serious. She was 12 and too old old to fight this on her own - but young enough to be worth saving. My beautiful cat starved and dehydrated to death slowly and painfully because this vet didn’t do her job. It was treatable and my darling cat could have had 10 years left if the vet had just kept her in and given her fluids. It has broken my heart that I was too distracted by my new baby to recognise what was going on or to question this clearly incompetent vet. I will never forgive myself and I will do everything I can to warn people not to use this vet. It has honestly ruined a really important part of our lives. We are devastated.

I had to put my cat down and the whole put-to-sleep (PTS) process at this surgery was poor. After signing the forms, the vet took our cat downstairs and asked us for payment. She didn’t tell us that was the final time we would see our cat. We asked her if we could see her again, and she offered to let us see “the body” later as she was busy. We were then asked to leave, and that was it. She didn’t explain what the PTS process involved in detail either, so I had no idea when my cat (who was in pain) would be put down, and what it would be like for my cat in the end. This was my first time having a pet so I didn’t know what a good PTS process was and didn’t question the vet. In hindsight, and asking other pet owners and a friend who is studying veterinary sciences, we should have been offered the chance to be there for my cat in the PTS process. I wanted to be there with my cat while she passed, and I didn’t know it was standard that we would be offered that… but we weren’t. I’m upset that we didn’t get a final proper good bye and I am left feeling cruel not knowing if my cat got a comfortable ending or not. The prices are known to be reasonable and it’s true, and I know that this vet provides so much for the local community, but I wouldn’t bring my pets here again and wouldn’t recommend this service.

AVOID THIS VET! I visited this practice in April 2018 with my cat who had a sore on her back. They told me it was just an infection and treated her with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory. Last Sunday, a couple of days after seeing them, I took my cat to another vets as she had stopped eating and didn't seem to be improving. As soon as the vet saw the sore they immediately said that the sore looked like cancerous tumour. Unfortunately my cat had to be put down that day. I don't believe that anything else could have been done if my cat diagnosed correctly, however it certainly would have caused less suffering and pain for her. I am very concerned about the level of care they gave - I do not believe they fully inspected the wound - I was in and out of the practice very quickly. The growth was large, swollen and most importantly hard - which are key signs of a tumour. When I was approaching the practice, a woman stopped me in the street and warned me about the practice saying that her cat has been mis-sexed and another pet which has been misdiagnosed. I wish I had listened to her and went elsewhere.

Excellent - we found Dr Robson after having experienced a fancy London clinic with unnecessary extras (don't think my cat cares), well-maintained facebook pages and opaque pricing. After our last visit (and quite some money spent on unnecessary services that kept being recommended) we had had it and started to look for a no-frills, down-to-earth, knowledgeable vet. We found her in Dr Robson - straightforward, knowledgeable and transparent pricing. We liked her demeanor (confident, professional) and our kitten was up and running almost on the spot after having been neutered. My husband's family had two female cats who - after having gone through the same procedure - withdrew for days. Ours was up and running almost immediately (to the point that we were joking whether the procedure had actually been done ;)). No doubt that Dr Robson is an excellent surgeon!

I have been using this vet for over 15 years. Phone calls are always answered quickly, appointments are offered to suit and there is never any waiting around for hours in packed waiting rooms. The vet is always helpful and prices are very reasonable. It may not be the most beautiful vet surgery but the service makes up for the dated decor. The vet also did home visits to euthanise my cats which made the experience much less stressful for me and them and was very reasonably priced. I would recommend this vet wholeheartedly.

Can't fault this vet, my dog of 17 years had a stroke last Friday 12/5/17 when I rang up on Friday lunch time the vet booked us in for 4 and said sounds like she's having a stroke, when we got there the vet said we could give her tablets but me and my partner decided it was best to let her go, we stayed with her until her last breath and a few minutes more just to give her cuddles one last time, the receptionist was fantastic gave me tissues and a hug. How thoughtful they sent out a card which made me cry even more

Do not take your animals here. I could say so much but I think the other correct negative reviews pretty much sums it all up. I will just add that the medication she sells is out of date. So please if you do continue to use this vet then check your medication. She actually believes that we could have still used it even though it had clearly gone past its expiry date. I am concerned about the injections that my animals have had as I do not know or trust that these medications were in date or safe. Beware!

I have been going to this vet for years, and wouldn't change her for the world. People may say she's a little abrupt, but her priority is our animals, and that's how it should be. She's direct, honest and diplomatic. Her prices are absolutely reasonable and she always makes time to talk to you. When I've had to have dogs and cats put to sleep, she allows me the time to grieve and that is priceless. The receptionist is a real character and always makes you feel special and welcome. Best vets ever..,.

If I could leave zero stars I would took my cars here to be neutered got them back smelling of urine still covered in blood it's 24 hrs later and one is still bleeding and the other has something hanging from the site and no it's not stitches as she said she didn't stitch them and it was only small holes she made I'm now gonna have to get them in to be seen by another vet to make sure they are OK there was a mess of paper work everywhere I will not be using or recommending this vet to anyone

Dr Robson is always available to see our pets, often on the same day. She provides great advice for our Gigi and Yeti at a reasonable price while not overprescribing treatments as others have done. Visiting feels like walking into the country side surgery of an old school movie. Dr Robson herself is a character, with a discrete sense of humour; we re always impressed to see her navigate through the paper files, always finding ours!

Over the last 15 years I have chosen to take my pets to AJM Robinson as I totally trust her as a vet and not to over charge me. When I had to make serious choices about the next steps for my cat she was so kind and patient and professional too, pointing out all the options and giving her medical her opinion. I never felt she trying to sell me something, she just gave it to me straight and the space to make my own decisions.

I felt like I was leaving my dog with Cruella Deville. The Vet is a very unfriendly person and a little rude. The place is full of mess, piles of stuff everywhere and very disorganised. I saw medication everywhere, not sure if it was up to date. When I called to follow up on my dog, they didn’t give much information and told me to call back later. I would never recommend or take my animals to this place again.

The best service. Cannot fault them. The vet is a wonderful lady, and I always know my animals are in the best hands. Would recommend this practice without hesitation. I would say, if you're in need of a vet, this is the best, but I'm aware that some people feel the vet is a little abrupt. The truth is, she is there for our animals, not for us and I for one, am quite happy with that.

Best vet I’ve known. I have l two senior dogs, and she has looked after them their entire lives. Always manages to squeeze me in if it’s an emergency, and never long to wait if not. She’s very good at explaining things, and has always been able to prescribe the right treatment and advice, whenever my dogs have had a problem. All my family members bring their pets here now.

Jane has cared for my last two rescue Rotties. High quality care. She even did home visit during lockdown. To make sure my Buster didnt suffer. I rescued Jessie who was in rescue for 8 years she took her on straight away. She had a stroke treated her at home within hours. Reasonable prices and a vet that really cares. Cant fault her.

The vet was lovely, super straight forward, in and out. Offered lots of great advice and was lovely to our kitten. Would recommend! My only feedback is the surgery could do with some TLC - was a bit messy - but doesn't impact the service. Also, Google maps takes you to the wrong house. It's actually two doors down.

Took my 10 month old rat to get neutered. The operation was done quickly and its been two days since the operation and he's running around lively as anything. Haven't heard a squeak from him and he's not even on pain meds. Great price, great service - really recommend.

My dog had suddenly become unwell & Ms Robson fitted her in after surgery & gave reassurance, an injection & advice. Mitzi is now fully better. None of the corporate vets would see her. I'm very grateful & will be changing to make Robson's our regular vet.

I took my guinea pig here, the lady was so nice & caring, I had my furry friend cremated & I'm picking him up today, the lovely lady was willing to try and help him, but he was 8 and suffering, he needed to go to sleep, would recommend this place 100%

The rudest receptionist. I'm sure the vets are amazing at what they do, but I wouldn't know because I never turned up for my appointment, purely because of the way the receptionist spoke to me on the phone. So rude, belittling and unnecessary!!!!!

Really bad service, the vet doesn’t care about your pet, she just care about money. The appointment lasted less than 10 minutes and she did not check my dog properly. Dont waste your money with this “vet”. Also she is rude and unkind.

Amazing! Really helpful in our time of need and she went out of her way to get a specific vaccination for my rabbits that I could not access anywhere in london after days of desperately trying. She couldn’t have been better :)

Fantastic, experienced vet, good for guinea pigs, got diagnosis right where another local vet practice failed (they diagnosed a hip injury as indigestion!) Reasonably priced too!
