Poor customer service. I was returning an item last night and had to wait for the manager to serve me because no one knew how to process a refund. They had recently hired some new staff who hadn't been trained in this procedure and the only other person, the cashier was out of the store on a washroom break. Initially, I was asked by the new employee to come back the next day but I refused because I thought that was a ridiculous request. The manager was asking for my personal information but could not hear me properly, so I raised by voice. She admonished me for speaking too loudly, which I found to be rude. Overall my experience was not pleasant or impressive. What a difference from my first visit to the store. I believe a business ought to hire people with the technical and customer service skills to ensure excellent customer service. It is a competitive environment in retail and a business cannot afford to lose customers or acquire a bad reputation. This is an example of Capitalism at its best. I'll be shopping elsewhere.
Good prices and a nice selection of shoes. Staff often tries very hard to oversell other items, such as wipes, cleaners, etc, when purchasing shoes. After numerous visits and encounters with different sales rep, its very obvious that they have been coached to tact on these items, even after customers say they are not interest. People not being interested in a product does not mean they need to be taught on what the item does. Also, each sales rep tries very hard to get customer emails (and having worked in retail I understand why) but after explicitly saying I am not interested without fail they will claim their goal is to reduce their paper usage for the environment...right before providing a large plastic bag. I'm sure many customers feel the same way. I don't think this is a sales rep problem, I strongly believe they were coached to act in this manor as many conduct thenselves in the same way.
Ordered a pair of boots b/c the cashier insisted it was free delivery and I would get them in the mail within a week. They were never delivered, then held hostage at a UPS store b/c I needed an ID to match the delivery address (never told this before ordering). Boots were sent back to factory, released to be re-sold despite the fact I already bought them, and I received no notification of the boots' return nor a notification for a refund. I had to call corporate to find this out, boots were sold out despite the fact I paid for a pair 1.5 months earlier. I was given a refund and offered a measly coupon for my troubles. Not impressed one bit, poor corporate coordination and customer service efforts.
Poor customer service. Was told the employee at the cash did not "know how" to apply my SPC discount, had to get a manager to assist her while she seemed almost as if I should just let it go. Finally got my shoes delivered to the store after waiting a week (the UPS notification identified the item as delivered a few days ago... they told me they could not go get my shoes for me until I get a specific email from them regardless of the fact that I'd been waiting for my shoes for 5 days at that point). Will be going to pick up my shoes today but will not be returning to Aldo due to the poor customer service and slow delivery I received at a high price.
Ordered a messenger bag online and got it delivered to to the store. They had sent the wrong colour of the same bag. The store said that they don't have the colour I want even though it's available on the website. So I chatted with a customer agent online and ordered the bag again with their help. After UPS delivered the bag to the store, it took 3 days for it to be ready for pickup! After all that, they had sent a bag with a similar colour combination, but not the bag I wanted. Pretty dissapointed in ALDO.
In reference to Nivienne Lim, You clearly had a bad day. Ive delt with this particular Aldo on multiple occasions, and love both their staff and service. It clearly was a misunderstanding. I work in retail myself and recognize these problems that always occur with different stores and orders. Sorry you had a bad experience, but this is a little harsh. Lighten up and maybe good things will happen.
I found the girls working there disinterested in helping me. When they did, every single shoe I asked for in my size (which is a 7), they didn't have it. 6 shoes I picked out and not one of them they had in my size. Like what kind of shoe store doesn't have stock? Might as well just be an online store.
J'adore Aldo! Toujours le petit plus pour se sentir belle. Le soulier spécial, ou l'accessoire de mode irrésistible. Les prix sont très raisonnable, et il y a très souvent des rabais qui viennent aider. Il faut donc sauter sur les articles qu'on aime avant qu'il ne soit trop tard.
Poor customer service, staff was busy in dance rather then to help us. Two of the girls were dancing and one of guy help us and went for finding shoe and after ten minutes he came with pair of shoes and then missing. Even he did not ask is it fit or not.
Great service and shoes, but I’m dinging the rating one point - the cashier asked if I wanted an email receipt. They assured me I wouldn’t get any spam email if I gave them my email address. Sure enough, I get some spam hours later.
Asked to try on a shoe, size nine. They didn’t have any. Asked to try on a similar style in size 9 so i can order online. Took more than 20 minutes to find ONE SHOE in size 9 between 5 sales associates. Disappointed.
I have always found the perfect show at Aldo. Quality is good for the price and the service is usually pretty good too.
This store always carries surprisingly unique handbags and shoes. It can be pricy but it's worth the cost.
