I went 3 times. Good atmosphere. 1st time the grilled chicken was juicy, and the owner was lovely, and the chips were crispy (properly cooked) -- see photo. I gave a 5-star review. The 2nd time, the grilled chicken was dry and overcooked. They said they thought I was in a hurry and sliced it before cooking it to be quicker. I said it would have been nice to have been asked (to be able to make my own choice rather than them "knowing best"). I thought it was a once-off, 5 start review remained. The 3rd time was just plain weird, the owner was really rude and arrogant. Apparently a staff member didn't show up. I'm really sorry for that, but as a customer I didn't deserve the spiky/hostile energy I received: I ordered the beef pie and salad. The pies are quite small (much smaller than an Australian pie), so I asked for another beef pie, which we agreed would be 14.90 more and she'd give me chips also. The chips arrived undercooked - Al dente or with resistance in in the middle (different to my first visit), and some were wobbly if shaken. She wanted to cook them again. I said that chips weren't good if twice cooked - the middle can't be cooked without the outside being overcooked. I asked for freshly cooked chips, and she didn't want to give them, saying that they were complimentary. To me, we had an agreement on price and what would be included. I spoke to her in her world, I asking her if she wanted to give me bad complimentary chips. She first tried to justify it by saying that cooking of chips was a personal preference and that she had been a chef in Melbourne. I pointed out that they weren't crisp. She then wanted to take them off my plate because it "looked better". This was strange (I was sitting at my table), but I let her do her thing. She came back with another type of pie, saying "I'd like to give you this pie". I didn't really want a 3rd pie. I eventually worked out that it was offered instead of the chips, which was not initially communicated. It already had sauce over the top of it, so it couldn't be given to anyone else if I didn't accept it instead of the agreed upon chips. The chicken pie was cold (which she didn't mention (I thought it could have been cooked at the same time as my other two). The pie had a 1-inch chicken bone in it. I mentioned it had a bone, and she justified it by saying that it was from a local source. No apology. She charged me 15.00 more instead of 14.90 as agreed, which I just paid. There was arrogant/hostile energy behind almost every interaction. If you offer something, (even for "free", and in your mind only), stand by what you you offer, and don't change the agreement. I will give the cafe another chance next time I'm in KL, but for now, with one great experience, another poor experience and today's rude energy and weirdness, I give 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Went there for lunch OVERPRICED FOOD For this rice it cost RM19 & above totally unacceptable… Truly disappointed with their food, I think the food wasn’t presentable, for their food taste I can say mine was too salty and got my others 2 friend’s was just fine. But if put with the price together, it’s way too over price. And I think it’s pretty funny that during order we pointed at the menu photos ask what was the food, he told if was some sort of chicken rice so we ordered that but when it serve it looks nothing like what we saw from the menu, totally 100% different. I even ordered a drink, it was juice, if I wasn’t mistaken it’s Melon Juice… I aspecting either to be natural seeet from the fruit or sweet but it turned out .. bitter… omg Then , there’s one guy I’m not sure whether is it boss, he’s the one who using Bluetooth earphone. Because for my table we ordered 2 main course with chicken, and both of the look we couldn’t determined so we ask for making sure but this staff/boss he was mistaken for my order. I think if he needed some music with work I think it’s fine but the problem is, he couldn’t gave me correct answer then I think the earphone is a big distraction during his work. It’s just truly disappointment.

Its so happen that I found this hole in the wall coffee shop. I was surprised and had doubts but I gave it a go. It did not disappoint me. The Coffee is so good I ordered Latte and blueberry Muffins. The Muffins is so divine I really love it. Now going back to latte it taste so good the coffee has flowery and chocolate notes on it which really compliments the muffin. Though I suggest not to over steam the milk since it is slightly going to be cappuccino and the latte art is not pronounce. I am a coffee lover and critique it is very important to me to have a great experience with this. Second I suggest to have a litte story about the beans used for your coffee it is exciting to hear and coffee lovers will be intrigue small attention to small details matter. Overall experience is superbbbbb. Definitely going back here.

The place is cool and well decorated, but the food comes perhaps after an hour of waiting. The drinks, too, even we only ordered fresh juice. They didn’t say anything about the long wait until I asked. When it’s passed the time mentioned surely I wanted to leave. And the owner came out, forcing us to pay the full amount. Saying things like I should respect my daughter and insisted for us to pay the full amount, threatening to call the police. She seems to be lacking of staff, but doesn’t know how to own to her mistakes. Hospitality wise, I give her a 0 score. Should never open a cafe with this attitude. Hungry customers made to wait for her pies that were seemingly made from scratch without any apologies. I threw her the money and she even kept shouting “77!” She didn’t see the money which was 80. Well, lady, I suggest you hire helpers and take a hospitality course. You did shout “customer is not always right!” Try go to other place and have the same experience. My high expectation turned HIGHLY DISAPOINTMENT. You made a mistake. Learn to own it.

Definitely recommend the seafood aglio e olio, one of the best aglio olio my dad has tasted, according to him. It was salty enough and not spicy which was right up my food palate. The hidden veg pasta with grilled chicken was great as well, slightly bland for me but it pairs well with the perfectly seasoned chicken, just make sure to mix it well. The owners used freshly cooked ingredients and their own special sauce, so you won't be able to taste them anywhere! Other than that, the atmosphere of this place is very pleasant and serene with the pretty yellow lights and plants around. The owner also told us that the place used to be a record shop many years ago, so he put up some of his albums to cherish his childhood memories, which gives a nostalgic vibe to the place. Overall, I think we would come back again to enjoy the peacefulness and the food despite it being slightly pricey (but I mean which cafes aren't? )

This is a new western cafe established around in October 2022. I cannot remember if there is any western style cafe in Petaling Street area in the past. If there is no such category cafe opened before here, then this AOOO Melbourne Cafe is the very first western cafe in this area. I took the photos of the menu, so that those who come by and read my comment, you can check out the menu photos. As there are various types of foods and drinks, so you sure will find your favorites. As soft music and songs are being played in this cafe, so you can enjoy your coffee and foods here comfortably. very underrated! We found this hidden gem while walking to the carpark, and we got the iced long black (rm10.80) reasonably priced for really good, dark and nutty coffee. Super fresh and well roasted, the owner was a sweetheart as well! She gave us an in depth explanation into beans and their origin, and we had a very pleasant conversation with her. I came here because it popped when I searched for "coffee shop with air conditioning" on Google search, but unfortunately it is not a place where they turn on the AC make it fresh and close the doors. They keep the doors open and use fans, so it is warm inside. It's alright if you are used to it and like the warmness, but it is not nice if you are looking for a place to take refuge from the outside heat and rest in freshness. It's a rectangular space with some art on one side or wall and the front and side facing the street sides has big windows. There is beautiful light coming in, but nothing like what you imagine by the pictures shown online.

My wife and I came here after a hike at the nearby Taman Tugu. The cafe is nice and clean, and the owner is friendly. We got the Mediterranean seafood pasta and the big breakfast, which were both delicious.

There is a paid parking lot right next to the cafe, but is expensive as expected in KL city centre. RM4.50 for every half an hour!

I've been searching for a place that serves well-roasted vegetables in the Klang Valley, and I finally found it here. The chicken sausage was also delicious, and the aglio olio spaghetti was quite good. The prices are reasonable, and the cafe owners are friendly. Overall, it was a very pleasant lunch experience. Highly recommended!

Also how do you say the name of this place? Like A-WHOOOOOOO or like Ay-oh-oh-oh, which for me is too many syllables. So that's why me and the missus just howl like a wolf if we mention this place. Look, I've never been to Melbourne, even being an Australian myself. But the most Australian thing in this joint is the meat pies. The coffee is too milky for us, but perhaps this is true to the Australian standard, which annoys me endlessly in Perth. Having said that, I dig the vibes and the music is tight. The muffin was fresh when we came and so it was good. The rest of the stuff we ordered were just alright.

Amazing coffee shop. The coffee was one of the best coffees that we have had during our time in SE Asia. The owner lived in Melbourne and went to a barista school there. We did not try the food but it looked great. Additionally, everybody was really welcoming and friendly. They delivered the best customer service that we experienced during our stay in Kuala Lumpur.

I went out to this cafe with a friend of mine.I like the simple interior and also the service they gave us.Very welcoming,friendly and always came up to us asking if the food is ok thou we only order the passion fruit cheesecake which is so delicious.Even the coffee that I had, Iced latte taste good and so does the affogato.Location wise,it is near to the Mahamariaman temple in Chiantown Petaling street, opposite Flaon.For a coffee lover I would recommend anyone to come to this humble cafe.

Finally managed to visit this highly recommended cafe tucked in a little corner around Chinatown KL. Truly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere with good old tasty lunch and drinks made with love and care. Highly recommended if you're around the area and need a moment to get away from the usual Chinatown madness.

This is my 2nd time here for breakfast and I like it. Staff are very friendly, coffee and food is good. Decor is interesting (check out the old CDs, tapes and records on the wall, remember those?). Was excited to try, but the food was very mediocre and they were all out of the chicken schnitzel. Was initially brought what I thought was my sandwich until the girl came back several minutes later and said it was for another table, luckily I hadn’t started eating it. They charge for water by the glass (a very small one) which I feel is ridiculous. Smoothies were very generic, and they appeared understaffed for the amount of people eating in.

We recommend this cafe for breakfast. The scrambled eggs with tomato toast was very good. You can choose plant based milk (5RM) and drinks (matcha and latte) were true ones, with a strong taste. The only thing is that it's a little bit expensive

Das Essen ist gut, die Portionen allerdings sehr überschaubar. Das Personal ist absolut freundlich, man sitzt auch nett. Die Preise sind jedoch überzogen, und was dem Fass den Boden aushaut: für ein Glas lauwarmes Wasser werden 2 RM berechnet. Deshalb auch nur ein Stern.

My first visit. 5 stars for the homemade waffle. 4 stars for the coffee and 3 stars for that matcha cheese cake. Comfortable environment, nice smoothie. If you just want to chill, this is a good place to spend time at, it's not one of those crowded cafes in Central Market/Petaling Street area where you find you are pressed for time to finish your drink or your meal. Smoothie is thick and cold, good for a hot day. Friendly owners run the place themselves, so service is really good.

Food here is good but the coffee here is out of this world. The aromas coming out of the cup will put you in a trans. Service here is great very friendly. And smoothies aren't too bad too. There's also I nice looking waiter there she was very friendly.

Lovely Cafe with amazing atmosphere. The food was very good and the staff is really friendly. I took the vegetarian wrap roll and a fresh orange juice. They prepare the food fresh with only fresh ingredients. They also serve vegetarian and vegan options. I totally recommend this place.

2 stars for the friendly service and vibey mood of the cafe. Unfortunately food was very disappointing, i ordered the Aglio Olio and it was very very salty, and the honey lemon was RM10 and the portion of it it so small, few mouths gone. My partner ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and the pasta was still hard, not cooked yet, and the sauce was disappointing.

The food is quite nice, although a bit expensive. But the atmosphere is very chill and good for co-wokring and discussion. Extremely nice customer service too!

The owners are so friendly and have us many recommendations for what to do in KL, we had a great chat with them. Green tea and latte both great. Curry chicken pie amazing, all made in house! They have a variety of some light fare, pies, and some Italian dishes. They just opened a few months ago. Very cool place!

Recommended spot for Europeans for taking a break from cultural immersion, while not forgetting to be in a foreign country. Coffee was good, bread with tomatoes and scrambled eggs was excellent, and the lady at the counter was very welcoming and gentle. Definitely a top choice in the surroundings for breakfast

Mereka cakap 'muslim friendly'. Saya tanya pasal meet and poultry status... owner comfirm yg supplier adalah halal. Tapi kalau ragu ada benda yg boleh di makan, seperti scramble egg yang sangat enak.

Superb. Lovely place with lovely staff. Definitely visit if you get the chance. I ate the best scrambled eggs I have had in my entire life.

Food was really good especially the smoothies. One of the best cafe I've ever eat. Recommend the extra thin pizza. Service was very friendly. Best experience.

[Halal] Great serving coffee located centre of Petaling street. Previously was a recording music studio recently converted to this cafe. Owner are friendly, definitely will come again.

Served good pasta Bolognese ,Australia pies ,pizzas ,roasted chicken salad and their sourdough sandwich is a must try. Friendly owners and will definitely make a come back. And their space are big enough for any catering events .

Nice service and chill place but food and coffee was a letdown. Scrambled eggs are overdone. Avocadoes are avocado mayo instead, without any semblance to a real avocado. Mashed potatoes tastes like instant powder mix.

This cafe is a recommendation for breakfast! It's the best western breakfast I got my whole trip. The coffee is delicious and they use beans originally from Italy. Also the staff is super friendly.

staff was so friendly and coffee was fantastic. the coffee art was so cute !! the pasta with grilled chicken was delicious and the seasoning was just wonderful ! i highly recommend dropping by for a cup of coffee to take a break from the bustling city.

The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. Perfect for anyone who is looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Recommended!

It is my first time in Kuala Lumpur and came across this lovely place for breakfast. Staff are so friendly and can not do enough for you. Food and coffee were amazing, I will definitely come back during my stay!

High ceiling, nice ambiance but no AC. Came here with a friend. I had Kabsa chicken plus salad. Cappuccino was tasty. My friend had fried rice which was very tasty. I think the price is a bit expensive. Service is very friendly.

Lovely cafe! Great service with such a warm and welcoming vibe. Had the privilege to meet the owner/barista Angie who was such a nice lady. Any aussies in KL looking for a taste of home, then i highly recommend. Thanks angie!♥

Lovely and charming family-run cafe. Excellent savory dishes (their meat pies are delicious) and equally tasty sweet treats (their salted caramel cheesecake is marvelous). Highly recommended for a light, tasty meal.

Oh yes, in my hunt for good coffee in Kuala lumpur I came across this little gem. Service with a smile. Lovely music and atmosphere. Great coffee.
