Went in yesterday with 4 1990'S easy to cut keys and they are unable to cut keys possibly due to their high standards, I expected about $2.+ per cut, I was a paying customer. Why are they still in business. I did have keys cut at Saifee on 7th St, charged me $10 and my girlfriend purchased a big flower pot, go figure, good customer service bring in customers, If anyone needs modern car keys duplicated, Rite Aid First Ave 5th St has a duplicating machine, Saifee Hardware Store can cut older keys and are willing to come down to earth and talk to the customer. Ace Hardware Store is on top of the S...list, and this is not for super. I am investing in a Lishi Key Cutter $34 on Ebay Ace Get rid of the key machine altogether with that Grandiose attitude , you ain't the ACE ANYMORE. Ace hardware reminds me of the Fig Tree. Story . looks good but upon inspection, NOTHING!
I went into this Ace Hardware Store located on the West side of 1st Avenue, between E. 2nd and E. 3rd Street looking for a shower hose adapter, and the employee gave me the wrong size adapter. The individual was too sure and cocky of himself to listen to what I needed. Once I showed him a piece of the connection, he said I know what you need. I went back hoping to get the right size adapter, a 1/2 in. x 3/4 in. adapter. He said, do this and and do that with the adapter, it would work. Went back a 3rd time, this time with my Handyman in troll. After the 3rd attempt, we still did not get the right size adapter. Hence, the project is behind schedule.
Verbally degraded by an employee (who insulted my appearance to my face.) There’s no denying it, the manager witnessed it. I was traumatized enough to call back a day or so later & the store manager was rude beyond belief. If only there was a recording of that call, it would go viral - the rudeness I experienced was so far out there. I called the owner of the entire franchise and he was very nice, but overall - wow, just wow. Never experienced anything else this bad out of the decades of hundreds/thousands of customer service interactions. I never leave reviews either but this was truly a horrible experience on so many levels.
Hello there, Panda aka Black McGuyer The staff was helpful and professional for sure everyone. Just came from a hardware store that try to charge me 98 dollars for dust tape and owner seem to not know how to use pay and tap system. So, I'd came here for some help and I got directed in the right direction for what I needed to fix my foldable wagon for the moment until I get a new one in the mail. But I would come here again for services and now I know what I need to fix a wagon, Thank you Ace for hiring good people and keep up the good work friends. The place by the way was easy to get around and easy to find things too.
I've noticed on a couple visits that some of the staff don't wear masks properly. However, I'd had many good experiences over the years and gave them a pass until today. In addition to some workers only half wearing their masks, a maskless deliveryperson was hanging out chatting loudly with the cashiers. So everyone who wanted to buy something had to wade through their aerosols. I'm going to shop somewhere less gross during a pandemic.
This Ace Hardware on 19th &first ave Stuyvesant town is a brightly lit clean store the attractive black female manager has a great personality and really tries to assist all her customers in anyway possible, additionally one never has to wait for assistance as there are a plethora of young staff ready to help you with all your shopping needs! Recommend this hardware store!
There was someone when we walked in who immediately asked us if we needed help and assisted us so well WHILE SOCIAL DISTANCING appropriately. Then, the man who made the paint and the cashier couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful too. Haven’t been going to a lot of stores because of the virus, but this was a treat.
This hardware store is like my dad. Whenever something breaks, I bring it here and they tell me exactly what I need to fix it or replace it and how to do it. Today I came in with hinges that were broken. They didn't have the part I needed, but they looked at the broken part and fixed it for me with a pair of pliers.
For all the little hardware things, this is a great local place to go. The moment you walk in there is a friendly staffer waiting to help you. Great selection of items from tools to gardening supplies to home goods. Even found a tough to find plumbing part there with help. Worth making this your local go to.
Can't believe I'm reviewing a hardware store but seriously the staff here is the best. Incredibly helpful (no matter how knowledgeable you are about your project) and friendly. There are closer hardware stores to me but I travel to this one and recommend it to all my friends.
I frequent this Ace often and I am always happy with their selection and service. Recently, Carlos went above and beyond to help me out which I am very grateful for. If there is ever something I need they don’t carry they will always try and point me in the right direction.
Most arrogant employees ever. Every time I go in there with a question, they tell us that it can’t be done or we don’t know what we are talking about. Opposite of a friendly neighborhood spot. Will walk the extra few blocks to go back to Home Depot. 1/5.
Excelente loja. Encontrei tudo o que eu precisava. A minha dúvida foi prontamente respondida, evitando a compra de um produto errado. Os preços são competitivos considerando a conveniência da localização da loja. Sou fã há muitos anos.
For the most part an overall good assistant when I came into the store very helpful....Until he was called away and I encountered rudeness and attitude from a stock boy to a cashier . Next time I will go to Home Depot...
I've been to this store multiple times and every time it's the same - wonderful employees who all seem happy to go the extra mile to help. Really outstanding service and they have what you need.
Inadequate stock, carry lots of stuff an apartment dweller is unlikely to need, and not so much of the stuff an apartment dweller is likely to need. Good staff and service though.
Went for carpet cutter, circular, jig saw blades, and extension cord. Was directed to the respective locations. Generous selection of each type I sought. Checkout was a breeze.
Staff is friendly, but You better off at home depot if u want decent prices. I paid 58$ for a gallon of paint. I could of gotten 3 gallons in home depot for that much.
These guys are awesome - fantastic customer service, friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. Plus, open to 8 pm! Help these guys compete against the big box stores!!!
Decent selection and great knowledge and service. The prices are a little more than the big barn stores due to the convenience. And there's no returns
Questionable Experience until I realized they sold me the wrong pain and I couldnt return it or get store credit for it. I just lost $30
The cashier went out of her way to assist me in finding a product for my mom. It was such a nice experience after a long day at work!
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of goods and very reasonable prices. I'm now a repeat and loyal customer.
They are getting better since they opened it. Hope they would tuned up to the Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper residents needs.
This store is excellent. Prices are fair and they have what you are looking for and even what you were not but know you need.
One of the better hardware stores in Manhattan. The staff is ALWAYS helpful and the range of items is pretty darn good.
Guy greated me asked me if i needed help Was in and out in no time and happy with my reasonable purchase
The staff weren't exactly helpful but you're stuck with them cause it's the best the neighborhood has.
Fantastic store! Nice and helpful staff. Great place to browse. Always something useful to buy.
They have allot of varieties, not just paint and the employees are so very helpful✔✔✔
The store clerk was very helpful. Gave me a lesson on soil prep for indoor plants
They had what Home Depot didn't. Knowledgeable staff and extremely courteous.
The store workers are obtuse! Very unhelpful No helpful hardware store here.
Frank was extremely helpful in figuring out a project. Thank you
Attention is good but they don't have much variety at the store
