"Been going the vets since cat was 4 weeks old, i have already complained kind of recently about how they just let dogs bother cats in the waiting room and take dogs in the cat only treatment room ? , in turn seemed that i started to get bad and judgemental service from the medical staff never from the reception i was never getting any soloutions just painkillers everytime barely checking my cat treating him like dirt so asked to speak to practice manager start of january finally spoke to somebody a month and half later who started defensive considering its a service im paying for and getting a bad service she went on tolie about information regarding the situation it was very unprofessional turned out it was the surgey director so still no practice manager i decided to go pick up my cats medical records as i was worried which was proven right when they had quite abit of false information in it"

"Lost my little boy Oscar few days ago and Adams vets made what had to happen the most cared for sensitive empathetic experience we could have hoped for! It was heartbreaking but what u have done afterwards and how beautifully caring u were during has made the whole thing so much less traumatic and the card u sent us today with our Ozzys paw prints in will keep me going for years to come! U never even tried any tests investigations when some vets are sadly in it for the money u never even gave us the choice thankfully u truly care about the animals and their families in your care! Can’t thank u enough And EVERYONE with a pet should be registered with u! Lots of love and thanks always Clare Oscar the pugs mum xxxxxx"
Been going the vets since cat was 4 weeks old, i have already complained kind of recently about how they just let dogs bother cats in the waiting room and take dogs in the cat only treatment room ? , in turn seemed that i started to get bad and judgemental service from the medical staff never from the reception i was never getting any soloutions just painkillers everytime barely checking my cat treating him like dirt so asked to speak to practice manager start of january finally spoke to somebody a month and half later who started defensive considering its a service im paying for and getting a bad service she went on tolie about information regarding the situation it was very unprofessional turned out it was the surgey director so still no practice manager i decided to go pick up my cats medical records as i was worried which was proven right when they had quite abit of false information in it. And still have never heard off Kay the practice manager, been told i have to write a formal complaint if i want to speak to practice manager which in itself is ridiculous a conversation would have surficed when the problem surfaced. Recieved a letter full of the same lies , libby peacock has lied on the vet records she never offered me a blood test i asked for one i asked her to speak to the practice owner not some snotty unproffesional surgery director whatever that even is so why would i ask, i have far more information but considering all ive had off Kay Simpson is a defensive letter not one apologie considering im a customer who has raised concern, i was happy to try and sort it out like adults but they keep lieing my medical records say things that are untrue end of story, i have already contacted the rcvs and have to call back monday to go through my concerns about elisabeth peacock and my concerns about the practice and practice manager Kay simpson. You only have a cat only waiting room because i complained before also and your cat only consultation room sign should be taken off if that is not the case also not everybody wants to drug there cat with fellway and put blankets over maybe not put the cat waiting room next to a consultatiom room with dogs in where it is inevitable they will cross paths , do not try to tell me the vet records are accurate they are full of misinformation that i had to recorrect for my new vets.
When I called few months ago about my cat , no one asked me to bring my pet to the vet , it's a private vet and I felt like I have to beg the receptionist to bring my pet even I pay in private... When my pet started to wee ect ... In the house every where the vet on the phone said it's unusual but never asked me to bring my cat for check ... when things get worst I have to convince the receptionist to bring the pet or I will take it to imergency .. , at the end I believe that The vet prescribed my pet high dose of oral medications( thyronorm and metacam ) but can not fix his tooth problem that they were about it since last year because they already started thyronorm medication for hyperthyroidism and forgot that my cat had a tooth problem, I was advised by other vets to ask the Adams vet to reduce the dose of thyronorm from 2.5 twice a day to 1.25 twice a day other wise my cat will have acute kidney failure, I went to the vet and asked her , she told me no your pet's kidney looks fine... She gave him other oral medication tooth pain if I remember called metacam It made my pet worst , didn't eat anymore (blood...ect) for each time i give my cat medications I thought my cat was dying... The last time I called the vet and told them that my pet didn't eat nothing all day ect , the receptionist told me the vet said carry on with oral medication even if he didn't eat nothing all day , the following day I took my cat to imergency, the imergency vet asked me to stop medication immediately and my cat had acute kidney failure, 75% he lived one week then after a week he was put down to sleep , he is in heaven. To be honest I regret registering my cat in Adams Vets no decent check long story short . They could at least send me an email to check my cat he was 14 years old plus , well the vet when I told her I think my cat have a kidney problems she replied he is fine ... It said it all, my cat died with and from kidney failure I understand the vet didn't do that on purpose, I hope they learn more from their mistake.

This vetinary practice is lovely. It does have a slight dated appearance but it is very clean and welcoming. It was recommended too me initially for my cat. There is never too many people in the waiting area which I think it good aswell. Fortunately my cat is healthy. I go to the vet every 3months for the flee and worm treatment and staff are helpful. I recently had a cat check up and vaccines for my cat. She is very timid and nervous and the vet was very patient with her and answered all our questions/concerns. I've not had an emergency yet so can't comment on emergency appointments etc. I have also been calling the practice for travel advice and they have been very attentive and thorough with the advice given which I am extremely grateful for. I would 100% recommend the practice.

Our involvement with Adams did not have the conclusion we would have wanted but that was in no way attributable to the Vets and staff involved . We took our poorly dog to them and we were given the best possible advice . In addition to the advice being of the highest quality the way it was offered could not have been bettered . The Vets were generous with their time and went to great lengths to make sure we understood the situation and all of the options available . All of the staff looked after our wonderful dog as though it was their own . We are extremely grateful for all that they did .
We left this practice over a year ago had two little anxious dogs that would bark in the waiting room, the look of disdain from the Receptionist who barely ever smiled when we would visit was enough to change vets. Spoken to a few people since and they have said the same it would be a great practice as the staff Sarah and Sophie were always pleasant and professional its just the Receptionist if she left they would probably get former clients returning . People need to feel welcome after all they are paying for a service and as with anything if its not there you go somewhere else
They’ve been absolutely great! Recently had to say goodnight to our 19yr old Border Colie Sal. We couldn’t of been looked after any better especially @ this heartbreaking time. Compassionate, caring and sympathetic big thank you to Sarah for making her passing so stress free and peaceful for her and your kind and thoughtfulness to us. Thank you to all the lovely staff for all your kindness and care, especially over Sals last couple of years with her arthritis you made Sals remaining time as pain free as possible, for which I will be grateful. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Very caring and compassionate. We took DuppyDog to them as he was very sick, and we knew that he was going to have to be put to sleep. They sorted out all the paperwork and payment and then let us have our last moments with him before he went. They checked that he was gone and then left us to begin our grieving process, they politely checked on us a few times, but left us to stay with DuppyDog until we were ready to go. A sad day for us, but at least DuppyDog was in no more pain. Can't thank them enough for their support.
Made my first visit to Adams Vets yesterday with my new puppy Indie and was really impressed by the whole service. As a first time pet owner, the staff really put my mind at ease and provided lots of tips and tricks to get us started on the right path as well as spending time explaining their pet plans (thanks Rachelle!) I know we'll be in good hands on our future visits thanks to the super friendly, knowledgable staff!
Had my dog in for a removal of a cyst quoted £160 when the dog was picked up casually informed that it was now £300 took longer than the vet thought it would take just like that no phone call prior to picking the dog up, if a garage tried that there would be fist fights in the reception, why do vets think they can charge as they go along, needless to say the dog will not be treated there in future.
This is not a sad review, well, a bit, but I want to tell everyone. My little dog is reaching the end of life stage and I cannot tell you too much about the help and support I have had from Adams. My dogs and I have been patients since the days of John Adams - what a wonderful man he was - and Sarah and Rachelle are guiding us through this difficult time.
They have followed the best practices during lockdown and have been very helpfull to follow the steps for a health certificate for my dog to travel with me to Brazil. They are registered with APHA to issue travel certificates, and are able to give rabbies vaccine and parasite treatment. Dr Michele Adams is very responsible and responsive.
We have been a client of Adams Vets for 8 months now and they are fantastic! I'm a new dog owner and they go out of their way to give you the best advice for your pet. We have a reactive 9 month old pup and they even rung me when the vet was ready on one of our recent appointments and opened the side door so we could avoid any triggers.
Have used this vets since I was a kid, over 50 years, and they still get my address wrong. However, as a vets, mostly been ok. Very annoyed today though to learn they dont have an X-ray machine of their own. Jad to drive 35 miles to Manchester to have my pups injured leg X-rayed. There and back twice, 140 miles nearly. Not happy !
Terrible experience today taking our dog to get a nail trim, they charged me £30! You can get a full groom in places for this price, and have since looked online and going rate in Uk vets is between £6-£12. Shared this with the staff and they wanted to sell me more stuff on top and receptionist ignored me. Will be changing vets.
Adams Vets have had to deal with stiff competition since the arrival of the Vets4Pets chain - and also, some sadness since the departure of the popular and well loved Sophie. Nevertheless, they have managed to cope admirably, and in my opinion they are still the best at providing professional, compassionate care for your pet.
I have been coming to Adams for many years with all my pets and every time I and my pets have been treated with care and understanding having everything explained about their diagnosis the care and after care. Everyone is very professional, compassionate and kind especially when I had to say goodbye to my pets. Thank you x
The Staff here are Amazing!. Whenever Jackson gets ill, I become a nervous wreck. , but the Staff always have time to explain everything to me and have lots of 'tips' to help. Also, the way they care for the Animals is obvious straight away - I think they're the Best in Liverpool. XXX …
Every time we have gone to this wonderful vets they have always helped to the best of their ability. They loving and caring attitude towards the animals has always been way more then any other vets I know. It really is the best vets if you ask me. Loving, caring, quality service with a smile
We arrived on Christmas Eve Eve with a sick dog. Cheerful reception, and we were registered within a few minutes . Waited about 30 minutes for an appointment. Vet poked, prodded and squeezed the dog. Gave him an injection, told us he should be alright, charged us £60. He was alright.
Phoned to enquire about cats protection neutering 1st lady was pleasant ( which is why 2*) 2nd lady very abrupt told if not registered then phone elsewhere . What's the point in being registered as a cat's protection vet if you won't see cat's via cat's protection neutering scheme.
Fab...changed from my first vets and glad I did, I sent a email first to explain my situation and had a email back which went into detail and explained everything..very helpful on my first visit, referred my dog to an amazing hospital and now shes a week post op and doing well
Always five star service at Adams, took great care of us and our elderly cat when it was his time, much appreciate their compassion and also no nonsense approach to a difficult decision, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and have been with them for over twenty years
Very professional, friendly and compassionate service. I sadly had to say goodbye to my sweet little old cat Reenie a few days ago. She wasn't at all scared and it was very peaceful and dignified. Wonderful staff and peace of mind knowing they're only down the road.
Adam vets is a really good vet the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this vets to anyone. I would like to thank the staff for the way they helped me with my little dog Tosh as I did know he was very poorly. Best wishes to you all. William Davey.
Just wanted to say thank you to the team today especially the site manger . Every time we have an issue with Chino they are fantastic, they are very professional, you can tell they genuinely care . Thanks Best wishes Jason Would 100% recommend this vets practice xx
I did a lot of research trying to find the best Veterinary Service in South Liverpool - Adams Vets didn’t disappoint! They have looked after our pup for over 5 years now and the staff are always so friendly & helpful. Fantastic vets - highly recommend :)
Very understanding especially in you have a nervous or anxious dog. Thanks to all staff at Wavertree branch. We have been a client now for 5 years and the standard of service is fab, and always feel welcome even if it's a quick hello and weight check
Excellent service. We have taken our cats here for well over twenty years and they have received nothing but premium care. The staff are polite, sympathetic and exceptionally professional. I can without hesitation recommendthis Vetinary surgery.
Seriously lovely staff who are caring and attentive. We used their pet plan to get all our vaccinations, flee worming, and some other lovely things (glands draining). The staff were just always so lovely and friendly and my dog loved attending.
What has happened to this vets in the last year? Used to be wonderful, reasonably priced and could get an appointment quickly. Ive now had to leave and go elsewhere as my dog bit his tail and was crying continually and could not wait a
Changed to this vet after I wasn't happy with our original vet. I can't emphasise how good these vets are. They listen to your concerns about your dog first. They truly are animal lovers and don't just see you as a walking cash machine.
A couple of weeks ago, we had to say goodbye to our beloved 16 year old cat Sooty. The vet was very caring and sympathetic and Sooty passed away peacefully. Today, I received a card from Adams Vets with our Sooty's little paw prints
Nurses were fabulous the vet who took care of my dog however had the empathy of a breeze block totting up the bill while my poor dog was being put to sleep due to the severity of his injuries.I have moved to Liverpool Vets in L1.
Adams is such a wonderful small animal practice. Every member of staff is just lovely and incredibly caring. Their receptionist is just fantastic tho. Very welcoming and super helpful. Would recommend this practice to anyone.
Thank you so much for saving our boy ninja after another vets ignored us and passed us off saying it wasnt a emergency you realised it was important you took great care of us and him and he back to him self thank you
They’ve been wonderful. Took our new kitten for his jabs and neutering. You can tell they really care about what they do because they looked after him so well. It’s also very good value. Would highly recommend
Have used Adams for over twenty years for our pets. They are always very professional and thorough and the staff all seem to love the animals.I know my pets are in safe hands when I've had to leave them there.
I usually go to Adams in Fazakerley but my boy needed his boosters & they couldn't fit us in, so we went to the Wavertree branch. Lovely staff, and got in to our appointment on time. Can't ask for more!
Very helpful and caring. They're great with my very excitable hyper dog peppa and are accommodating of my disability. They even saw my rats for me too. Amazing vets all round!
Very Happy with the service at this vet and how thorough the Vet was on diagnosing possible causes. It was a bit of an emergency for us and our dog Cara. Thank You
Very professional and kind . Had to break bad news to me and did so with clear explanation and upmost sensitivity . Thankyou . Would highly recommend Adams Vets .
Fabulous vet my cat was vomiting a lot and after telephone advice from the nurse shes ok. They are very genuine and not out to just make money. Highly recommend
I have used this surgery for over 40 years and every animal I have ever taken has been treated well and handled with kindness and compassion as indeed have we.
Took my kittens to be neuted. They are in partnership with the cats protection league and i got money off the neutering as I can't afford to pay full price
Always had good service and advice from Adams. They are open until 6:30pm which allows you get an appointment after working hours which is very handy.
Very good with my dog Bolt. Unfortunately he's had to visit more than I would like but he loves his visits and trots in with his tail wagging away.
Brilliant Vets, all staff are so caring and really consider the animals they deal with, I would recommend them to any pet owner …
Extremely good Vets, Amazing staff, an far cheaper than any other main line Vets I've ever come across. You pets will be well looked after here.
Adams vets are brilliant. My dog had injured her paw and they dealt with it quickly, kindly and efficiently. Would be happy to use them again

Extremely kind and caring vets and nurses have been looking after my dogs for years. I wouldn't go anywhere else for their care.
Lovely vets. We've been with them for over 50 years and always great service and support from the receptionist and the vets.
Absolutely the best vets I've ever dealt with. They genuinely care about the animals and I couldn't recommend them enough!!!

We are with adams vets for all of our pets and they are always lovely kind and very helpful. Best vets by far!
Very rude and horrible customer service they was chatting away while we stood there didn’t great us in anyway
Lovely and friendly staff my dog was nervous but everything went fine and staff put her at ease very helpful.
So caring and lovely towards our little princess, Lexa. We highly recommend them! Excellent team and service!
To long a waiting for Drop in one hour, and half is way too long for a stressed cat in noisy waiting room
The staff at Adams vets are amazing. Glad we registered our puppy with them. Couldn't recommend enough.
Staff really friendly and helpful. Been our vets for years now for many of our pets past and present
Lovely veterinary practice where they really care about animals. Cheaper than large chain vets, too.
Vet was very caring and reassuring. From receptionist to the vet they were all very supportive.
Great veterinary have taken my rats here on 2 occasions and they’ve always been very helpful.
Amazing caring companionate thank you for being there when we had to say goodbye to Harrison
